Keone we think and Jay were wonderful guides and added greatly to the beautiful experience of riding in Waipio Valley. Their friendlyness and helpfullness really made the ride from great to an amazing experience. It was fun to ride through water and learn about the valley. I would recommend it to anyone interested in horseback riding. The horses were easy to ride but also had some personality which is always fun and the guides did a good job of teaching the basics and what to do to stay safe.

If you go to Maui, participating in this activity is essential for a complete trip. It starts with Krispy Kreme, and you can buy delicious jams and tea at Kula Lodge, and then finally head to Haleakalā. You drive up the 3,000-meter mountain, so there’s absolutely no stress. When you reach the summit, a breathtaking view awaits you. The colors are incredible. At the end, there’s also a heartwarming story from the guide, Mr. Yamauchi. As a side note, it gets quite cold at the top, so especially for women, it’s best to dress warmly to protect against the cold.

マウイに行ったら、これに参加しなければマウイの旅行は完結しないでしょう、という位有意義なアクティビティでした。
クリスピー＆ドーナツに始まり、クラロッジで旨いジャムや紅茶を買う事が出来、いよいよハレアカラへ。
3000メートルの山の登るのですが、車ですぅーと行くので、まったくストレスがありません。
山頂まで着くと、息を飲む光景が待っています。
色が凄いんです。
最後はガイドの山内さんの心温まるお話も付いています。
余談ですが、頂上は相当寒いので得に女性は足などしっかり防寒していったほうがいいです。

Makani Kai has one of the best reputations for safety in the islands. Knowing that, the experience of flying over the island of Oahu was quite enjoyable and relaxing. The pilot and ground crew are efficient and courteous. Easy to find if you drive yourself with available free parking!

this was my second time and it was better than the first time, and I brought my family this time.

These guys were fun and made us feel like we were in the company of friends! Great time with and amazing group of guides and staff.....thanks guys you were THE BEST adventure company we expierenced on the island!!!

This adventure was absolutely fabulous. My husband and I loved the kayaking. It was our first time to zipline and we both would love to do it again. We are in our forties and felt like 25 again. The swing at Kipu Falls was a blast. Definately recommend to everyone! Our guides were fabulous!

This was my second time at Mauna Kea. This time, I participated with a family of seven, including my 83-year-old grandmother, who was very energetic! Last time, I felt sick and couldn't enjoy the beautiful view at the summit, so I was worried about this visit as well. I did feel a bit nauseous at the summit, but I managed to stay there until the end without having to go down.

I was also amazed by the sheer number of stars, even more than last time! The Milky Way was visible, and lying on the ground looking up at the sky, I felt a strange sensation of being alone in the universe because everything around me was dark, which made me forget the cold. The explanations about the stars were enjoyable and easy to understand, making it the best experience. I highly recommend it, even for those who aren't interested in stars or celestial bodies! It was fantastic.

マウナケアは2度目です。今回は83歳を含む７名のファミリーで参加、おばあちゃまはとても元気！
私は前は気持ちが悪くなり山頂の美しい様子が見れなかったので今回も心配しながらの参加、山頂で気持ち悪くなったが、下に下りることもなく最後まで山頂にいることが出来た。
又前回を上回る星の多さに感動！
天の川も見え地面に寝て空を見ていると周りが暗いので宇宙に一人でいる不思議な感覚になり寒さも忘れました。星の説明も楽しくわかりやすいので最高です。星や天体に興味がなくてもお勧め！最高でした。

My long-awaited first skydiving experience in Hawaii.
It was so much fun!
I think you can't really understand how exciting it is until you try it, but I highly recommend it!!

It does cost a bit, but if you get the DVD and photos, it will be a lifelong memory.

The staff were very friendly and just so much fun; I was laughing the whole time.

I definitely plan to do it again next time I go. (^-^)

念願のハワイでの初スカイダイビング。
すごく楽しかったです。
これはやってみないと面白さが伝わないと思いますが超お勧めです！！

少しお金はかかりますがDVDと写真をつければ一生の思い出になります。

スタッフの方たちもとっても気さくでとにかく面白くて笑いっぱなしでした。

次回行くときも絶対やるつもりです。（^-^)

The drive to the summit was challenging, but seeing the beautiful sunset and starry sky from Mauna Kea completely erased my fatigue. The guide's stories were also interesting, and I definitely recommend this tour.

頂上まで車で上る道のりは大変でしたが、マウナケア山からの綺麗な日没・星空を見るとすっかり疲れは消えました。ガイドさんの話もおもしろく、是非おすすめのツアーだと思います。

We arrived at Kauai Backcountry Adventures and were quickly greeted by a staff member. The set up was easy to follow, the instructions were clear and the process was very organized. The staff was laid back, informative and very friendly. Jamie and BJ made our experience great. They were knowledgable and eager to make sure we were having a great time (and "Bundy" is one hell of a driver). We hope to return and would recommend their company to anyone.

My first time in Maui. I changed my schedule to participate due to bad weather, but I'm really glad I didn't give up... Shopping in Waikiki isn't bad at all, but the depth of such a wonderful experience is incredible!! I'm becoming more and more captivated by Hawaii. Thank you so much, Mr. Yamauchi, for your heartfelt stories.

悪天候で日程を変更して参加しましたが、あきらめなくて本当に良かった…。ワイキキでショッピングも決して悪くは無いけれど、こんなにも素晴らしい体験が出来る奥の深さ！！
益々ハワイの虜になってしまいました。

In the evening, I was worried about whether I would be able to see the stars due to the clouds, but I experienced the sunset sinking into the sea of clouds, a starry sky I had never seen before, and the rising moon. In the end, I even got to see a moonbow, making it the best experience ever. The explanations from our guide, Shinya, were also very enjoyable, and I'm really glad I participated. The scenery and sights I saw here were so moving that I will never forget them. If I ever have the chance again, I would love to show it to my children and parents. I think the attached photos won't fully convey it.

夕方は雲が出ていて星が見えるか心配でしたが、雲海に沈む夕日、見たことのない星空、そして昇る月、最後には月の虹ムーンボーまで見ることができ、最高の体験になりました。
ガイドのしんやさんの説明もとても楽しく、本当に参加してよかったです。
ここで見た景色、光景は一生忘れないくらい感動しました。いつかまた機会があれば、子供、両親に見せてあげたいです。添付の写真では伝えきれないかと思います。。

This was at the top of our list as far as the Activities we did in Maui. It was FUN, the people were sooooo Friendly and the VIEWS were AMAZING!!!!!! It is a little on the pricey side, but worth it.

The main event of this trip to Hawaii was horseback riding. Since we chose the 2-hour course, there were no other Japanese participants, which was perfect for us as we were trying to avoid Japanese people during our travels (even though I am very much Japanese myself). We also drove there with a rental car.

I felt completely at ease during the horseback riding, and above all, the scenery was absolutely stunning! As we rode through the valley, which is a filming location for Jurassic Park, it truly felt like a dream, and I was completely healed by nature. Since it seems that you can only visit this place on the 2-hour horseback riding course, I highly recommend it!

今回のハワイ旅行のメインイベントだった乗馬。
2時間コースにしたので、他の日本人は皆無で、旅行中日本人を避けている（自分はバリバリ日本人なんですけどね）私たちにはぴったり。現地へもレンタカーで行きました。
乗馬自体も全く不安なく、何よりも景色がすばらしすぎる！！ジュラシックパークのロケ地になっている渓谷を進んでいるときは、本当に夢のようで、大自然に完全に癒されました。
2時間コースでしか乗馬でここへは訪れないようなので、ぜひとも2時間コースをおすすめします☆

My son his friend and I took the 2 hour ATV tour with Jacob as our guide. It COULDN NOT HAVE BEEN GREATER! The scenery was absolutely incredible and the ride was like being on a roller coaster ride that you have control of. Don't get me wrong it wasn't scary, it was exciting. No I'm in my 50's and I had just as much fun as my son who is 21 and our friend who is 17. This activity just can't be beat!

At first, I thought two hours might be a long time, but once I actually tried horseback riding, it felt like no time at all. Perhaps because they are used to dealing with tourists, the staff was very accommodating, and the arrangements for watching the video about horseback riding were well organized. My family of four is quite experienced with horseback riding, but even complete beginners can enjoy it safely and comfortably. Additionally, during the ride, they provide explanations in both English and Japanese about the locations (scenery) and history, which adds to the experience. We also pass through filming locations from movies like Jurassic Park and Lost, which I think would be a delight for movie fans.

最初は2時間は時間的に長いかな、と思いましたが実際乗馬をしてみればあっという間に感じました。さすがに観光客相手に慣れている為か対応や乗馬に関してのビデオを見る段取り等、うちの家族は４人共乗馬は何度も乗っていて慣れてますが、まったくの初心者でも安全、安心に乗馬が楽しめます。また乗馬中も英語、日本語で場所（景色）や歴史について説明してくれますので楽しめますし、ジュラシック・パークやLOST等のロケ地の中を通りますので映画ファンにはたまらないと思います。

I took my 74 year old mother. We had a great time. The guides were extremely knowledgable and helpful. The food wasn't the best but that wasn't the focus of the trip. It was nice to have real metal silver ware to use while eating our of our box. I highly recommend this trip. My husband and his son will take it in two weeks.

I joined this tour based on my suggestion that horseback riding would be a great way to connect with nature, something we don't usually get to do.

My child just turned eight, which is the perfect age for horseback riding, so I hoped it would be a good experience as we headed to the ranch. It was my daughter's first time seeing a real horse, and she was quite excited. The horseback riding was relaxed and felt like a leisurely stroll, making it perfect for her, and it was really wonderful.

I'm truly glad we could have this kind of interaction with nature and animals during our trip to Maui.

普段できない自然との触れ合いには、乗馬がいいのでは？っという私の提案からこのツアーに参加させてもらいました。

子供もちょうど８歳になり、乗馬できる年齢だったので良い体験になればと思い向かった牧場。本物の馬を見るのがはじめての娘は興奮気味。
ゆったりとお散歩感覚での乗馬だったので、娘にもぴったりですごくよかったです。
こういう自然や動物との触れ合いが、マウイ島旅行の間にできて本当によかったです。

Since I'm traveling alone, I wanted to spend some relaxing time, and I found horseback riding at Mendes Ranch. The scenery of Maui Island while gently swaying on the horse is truly wonderful. This kind of leisurely horseback riding is perfect for solo travelers.

一人旅なんで、まったりとした時間を過ごしたいなって思って見つけたのが、このメンデス牧場での乗馬。
馬にまたがって、ぽっかぽっかと揺られながら見るマウイ島の景色は、また良いもんですね。
こういうゆったりとした時間を過ごせる乗馬は、一人旅にもってこいです。

I hadn't gone horseback riding since I did it a few times as a child, but since I came to beautiful nature-filled Hawaii this time, I decided to give it a try.

Riding slowly and leisurely on a horse is wonderful. It allows you to forget about everyday life, breathe in the delicious Hawaiian air, and feel the grandeur of nature. It was a valuable experience.

I think I might want to go horseback riding again when I want to enjoy some slow time.

乗馬って、子供の頃に数回いったっきり、それから全然行ってなかったんですけど、今回せっかく自然のきれいなハワイに来たんだからってことで、乗馬体験してみました。

馬にまあがってゆ~~っくりのんびりとできる散歩いいですね。日常のことを忘れて、ハワイのおいしい空気を吸って、雄大な大自然を感じる。貴重な体験をさせてもらいました。

またゆ~っくりした時間がほしいときには、乗馬をしようかなって思ってます。

I was disappointed to learn that 80% of ride would be through tunnels - I pictured we'd have some tunnels but mostly be having a nice trip through Kauai scenery. It was still lots of fun though!!

Though the guide said there was over 50 miles of irrigation ditches, but that the tour is only through 2 1/2 miles, so it's not a very long trip. There's a nature walk before hand and picnic lunch after. But for the money, I'd rather skip both those and do the irrigation ride twice, or at least have a much, much longer ride.

I was still pretty fun and I would definitely recommend this to families but it's definitely way expensive for what you get. The water is freezing cold, so be prepared.

My family and I were all first time ATV riders and had a great experience with the Kualoa 1-hour ATV ride. We would definitely recommend it to others and hopefully we will be able to do it again...this time maybe the 2-hour ride!

This experience is something that cannot be fully conveyed in words or writing. It can only be understood by those who have experienced it.

The instructors were all cheerful, which made it so that I didn't even feel nervous inside the Cessna. Since the total time was about six hours, I thought we would have a thorough lecture and preparation, but in reality, we just watched a video, received explanations, waited our turn, put on our gear, and before I knew it, we were already in the air!

Just below us, there was a rainbow, and the free fall towards it was the best!! It felt like I was on a swing over a huge map with the parachute.

In any case, it was the best diving experience!!

インストラクターはみんな陽気で、おかげでセスナ機内でも緊張感を感じることすらありませんでした。
所要時間が6時間ほどあるため、入念にレクチャーを受けて準備して・・・と思っていましたが、実際は淡々とビデオを見て、説明うけて、順番待って、ウェアを装着して、セスナに乗り込んで・・・次に気づけばもう空中でした！

ちょうど、真下に虹が出てそれに向かってのフリーフォールは最高でした！！
パラシュートは大きな地図の上でブランコに乗っているかのような気分。

とにかく、最高なダイビングでした！！

When I participated, the full moon was approaching, so there were fewer stars than I had imagined, but our guide was fun, making the journey to the summit enjoyable. I played with horses at the ranch, learned about plants, and took fun photos during the sunset. The lunch was quite delicious, and they provided warm clothing for both the top and bottom, which I thought was better service compared to other tours.

参加したときは満月が近かったため、星の数が想像よりも少なかったけれど、ガイドさんが楽しい方のため、山頂までの道のりも楽しめた。
牧場で馬と戯れたり、植物について教えてもらったり、サンセットで楽しい写真を撮っていただいたり。
お弁当もなかなか美味しくて、防寒着も上下貸していただけて、他のツアーよりもサービスがよいと思った。

Wonderful family activitiy! We had a blast. Bob, our guide was informative and entertaining. We got to see a side of Hawaii that is well preserved. Swimming and playing in the natural waterfall was very memorable.

It was the best tour.
It was a shame that we couldn't see many stars due to the weather, but the sunset and Mr. Yamauchi's stories were fantastic.
When I returned to my room, there was champagne waiting for me.
It became a wonderful memory.

This time, I went to the Big Island for the first time, and Mauna Kea was the best. The cold-weather gear from the nature school was warm and comfortable, and the lunch was delicious. The guide for the day, Shinya, was interesting and a really nice person. He seemed to be a professional photographer, and he took beautiful pictures for us. The explanations about the constellations were detailed and easy to understand. At Mauna Kea, I felt connected to the universe, and it was a wonderful experience. I hope to join this tour again someday.

今回、初めてハワイ島へ行って、マウナケアが一番良かったです。ネイチャースクールの防寒着はつなぎで暖かかったし、お弁当もおいしかったです。この日のガイドのしんやさんは、面白く、とても良い人でした。カメラのプロの方らしく、写真も綺麗に撮ってもらえました。星座の説明も詳しく、わかりやすかったです。マウナケアでは宇宙を感じられて、気持ち良かったです。またいつかこのツアーに参加できたら良いなと思います。

My group 8 people took on the ride and 8 came back stating this was by far the best thing they had experienced and all 8 said they would go back again and Highly suggest anyone wanting to see from the sky down what is happening need to take the 60 minute ride as our group did. When it comes to Hawaii, I had only traveled to Waikiki before, but this time I made my big debut on the Big Island!

I was able to join a tour to the summit of Mauna Kea, which I had wanted to do for a long time! I was deeply moved by the sea of clouds from 4,000 meters up! It was cold, but I had never seen such a beautiful starry sky, so I was amazed.

I also have to give a big shoutout to our guide who took us to that extraordinary scenery. They paid attention to every detail and showed such dedication throughout the tour, making me feel their professionalism. At the end, we all applauded for the guide!

Seeing the starry sky was much more enjoyable with explanations from someone knowledgeable rather than just looking at it vaguely!

It was a rich and fulfilling tour that makes you want to participate again and again! I highly recommend it!

ハワイといえば、ワイキキにしか旅行したことなかったのですが、今回はじめてBIGなビッグアイランドデビュー☆☆☆

前々から行きたかったマウナケア山頂のツアーに参加できました！4000メートルの山のうえからの雲海に大感動！寒かったけど、あんなキレイな星空をみたことなかったので、ビックリでした。

そして、あの非日常の風景に案内してくれるガイドさんに脱帽です。細かいところまで気をつかわれ、最後の最後まで手を抜かず熱心がガイドっぷりにプロを感じました。最後にはガイドさんに拍手をみんなでしてました！

星空もただ漠然とみるよりも、知識のある方に説明してもらえたので、楽しめました！

何度でも参加したくなる、内容の濃いツアーでした！おすすめです☆
