Next time I visit the Big Island, I decided to participate in the "Mauna Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing Tour." It was cloudy and rainy in the morning, and I was worried about whether I would be able to see the stars, but at the summit of Mauna Kea, we were above the clouds and were able to see a beautiful sunset and many constellations. The guide's explanations of the constellations were enjoyable and easy to understand, and thanks to that, I had a wonderful time.
As a bonus, I saw Hawaiian geese on Saddle Road, and I was also able to see the Southern Cross in the Northern Hemisphere.

My husband and I took our 11 and 10 year old daughters. We ALL loved this hike. It was longer than I expected, but definately worth it! I really recommend the boots to avoid ruining your shoes. The hike can get a little tough, but if I did it...anyone can! Have fun and wait for the big surprise.

When I think of Hawaii, I had the image of the ocean, but the natural beauty of Kualoa impressed me more than anywhere else. I rode a buggy around various filming locations, including the site of Jurassic Park, and they even provided time for photos at each spot, which made for truly wonderful memories.
I was nervous during the initial practice time because I wasn't good at driving the buggy and worried I might be dropped off, but I managed to get through it.
I highly recommend seeing the scenery of Kualoa at least once in your life.

Wasn't really sure what to expect even though I read good reviews. We had teens and I worried this would be a lazy river float. It wasn't! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't rapids either. But it was a lot of fun. You float, but you also spin and the tunnels are really something. I'm claustrophobic and worried about the tunnels, but with the headlamp provided and everyone moving along, it was not scary, not even for young children. The guides were terrific at making sure you have a good time, but also know when enough is enough...meaning they asked about claustrophobia and when I told them yes, they did not jump out to scare me in the tunnels. Although I would have been ok with that!

In the pitch-black night, the beautiful stars and the faintly glowing Kilauea volcano in the distance were breathtaking. It was a moment where even blinking felt like a waste, as we could see shooting stars.
The explanations from our guide, Mr. Yamamoto, were very clear and enjoyable! With the sunset and starry sky as a backdrop, we were able to take beautiful photos, allowing me to remember that scenery anytime, even while in Japan. He pointed out the stars with a laser, making it easy to understand which stars belonged to which constellations. We also had fun conversations during the car ride to and from the site.
Next time, I want to bring my parents along, and I would love to request Mr. Yamamoto as our guide again at Masashi Nature School!

注意点としては、とても寒いのでしっかりとした防寒をすることと、曇りの時と、月が満月以外がいいとおもいます！月の明りでせっかくの星空が見えにくくなるそうです！

By slightly shifting away from the crowded beach where people were gathering around sea turtles, I was able to encounter sea turtles on a deserted beach.
Everything went so smoothly that I had extra time… The unexpected bonus tour to the soap factory, which became famous in Japan through the TV show "Moyamoya Summers," was excellent. They really know how to connect with Japanese TV programs—truly professional and experienced.
I was also given a handmade map of Haleiwa Town that included shop names and restrooms not found on commercial maps. Since I have difficulty walking, my guide brought a lightweight folding chair from home so I could take breaks while exploring. I felt a family-like hospitality in their meticulous care, which deeply impressed me.

■市販の地図に載っていない店名やトイレなどを記したハレイワタウンの解りやすい手製地図を作って戴いたり、足の不自由な私には、少し歩くことになるので、休み休み回れるように、軽い折りたたみ椅子を自宅から持参してくれたり、至れり尽くせりの気遣いに、家族のようなもてなしの心を感じ…感銘した。

My husband was excited for this opportunity. I was absolutely scared to death and was confident that I would back out before jumping. This was my first time ever riding a horse and they made me feel very comfortable. The views were amazing and Cassie was a fabulous guide! My husband and I decided to do this ride the night before our vow renewal and it gave us some beautiful memories to look back on! We would definitely recommend this ride!
It was a once in a lifetime experience. It's very cold up at the summit, but the sunset and stargazing were worth it. The only complaint I had was that the dinner (vegetable lasagna) was terrible.
