We participated as a family with our children (ages 8, 10, and 12). After a brief explanation, we immediately started trekking on horseback, one by one.

We went down steep slopes and galloped up, just moving forward continuously.

The horses were very calm and experienced, so it was probably fine, but I must admit I was a bit anxious at first. However, the children seemed to enjoy themselves wholeheartedly without any fear. By the end of the one-hour trek, I was completely relaxed and able to enjoy it as well.

The guides were all cheerful and friendly, which made it fun. They even spoke a little Japanese.

Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience with the stunning backdrop of the ocean in Maui!!!

ちょっとした説明のあと、すぐに一人ずつ馬に乗ってトレッキングを開始。


山の急斜面を降りたり、駆け上がったり、とにかくどんどん進みます。


馬はとってもおとなしくて、慣れているので大丈夫なのでしょうが、さすがに初めは少し不安でした。でも、子どもたちは怖がることもなく、３人とも心から楽しんでいたようです。
私も１時間のトレッキングが終わるころには、すっかりリラックスして楽しむことができました。

ガイドさんもみな陽気で感じがよく、楽しかったです。日本語もちょっと話してくれます。


とにかく、マウイの海の絶景を背景に、最高ッに楽しい体験でした！！！

Initially, we considered driving there ourselves, but choosing this tour was definitely the right decision!

The hiking trail was longer than we imagined, so driving would have been tough, but more importantly, the owner of Maui All Stars, Mr. Yamauchi, was fantastic.

I was torn between sunrise and sunset, but considering the clarity of the air, he strongly recommended sunset! We were able to enjoy the starry sky at a leisurely pace.

Mr. Yamauchi is very knowledgeable about the stars and provided various telescopes, big and small. He shared interesting and engaging stories that entertained both kids and adults.

The heartfelt services, such as the background music during stargazing, chairs, bento boxes, and warm tea, left us truly impressed.

He was also skilled with digital cameras and made thoughtful arrangements for our photos. We got some amazing shots at the summit!

In any case, if you're going to Haleakalā, I highly recommend participating in this tour.

If I ever go to Maui again, I would love to do it once more.

当初、自分たちで車で行くことも考えていましたが、このツアーにして大正解でした！


登山道は想像以上に長い道のりだったので、運転はつらかっただろうという理由もありますが、それ以上に、マウイオールスターズのオーナーのヤマウチさんは素晴らしかったからです。

サンライズかサンセットかで迷っていたのですが、空気の澄み具合を考えると、絶対サンセットがおすすめ！とのことでした。星空もゆっくり楽しめました。

ヤマウチさんは星空に大変詳しくて、大小様々な望遠鏡を用意してくれた上、子どもたちも大人も楽しめるように、丁寧で面白いお話を聞かせてくれました。

星空観測の時のＢＧＭや椅子、幕の内弁当やあたたかいお茶など、心のこもったサービスで感激しっぱなしでした。

デジカメの扱いにも精通していて、いろいろ配慮して撮影してくれました。
山頂では、驚きの写真も！

とにかく、ハレアカラに行くなら、ぜひ参加してほしいです。

私も、もしまたマウイに行くことがあったら、もう一度行きたいです。

I had wanted to participate in this tour since I saw a scene in a TV program introducing Kauai Island where people floated down an old irrigation canal in tubes. The tour is conducted entirely in English, so I think it would be tough if you don't understand English to some extent (we were the only Japanese couple).

Here’s the flow of the tour:

1) We gathered 30 minutes before the tour start time. There is no pick-up service. We moved by rental car, but it was surprisingly far from the Poipu area where our hotel was, and we ended up being about 10 minutes late.

2) Upon gathering at the office, we were first given a waiver. It was double-sided and entirely in English; the front stated something like "Participation is at your own risk," and the back had several confirmation items such as "It's okay to be in the water for 45 minutes" and "It's okay to be in a dark place for 15 minutes."

3) After completing the waiver, we weighed ourselves to determine the size of the tube.

4) After that, we received helmets and gloves.

This concludes the procedures at the office. After this, we took a van to the point. There were about 20 participants during our time, and we split into two vans. Inside the van, they explained the history of Kauai Island and the sugarcane fields, and we introduced ourselves. Also, we made a photo stop at a scenic spot, so I think the travel time in the van was about 30 minutes.

Upon arrival at the point, we listened to some simple instructions, and then we floated down the irrigation canal in tubes for about 45 minutes. There were instructors present, and we just let ourselves be carried by the flow of the water.

After the tour ended, we got back in the van and moved to a lunch spot. Lunch consisted of pita sandwiches, chips, cookies, and water. After finishing lunch, we returned to the office by van and then dispersed.

When participating, the water is quite cold, so I think it’s better to wear a T-shirt or something on top. Also, it goes without saying, but there are no restrooms while floating in the tube, so please make sure to use the facilities at the office before moving (my backside got quite cold). There are portable toilets at the lunch spot.

You can enjoy nature as well, so if you visit Kauai Island, I definitely encourage everyone to give it a try!

以前、カウアイ島を紹介するＴＶ番組で「サトウキビ畑の旧用水路をチューブで流れる」というシーンを見てから、カウアイ島に行くならばこのツアーに参加したいと思っていました。なお、ツアーはすべて英語ですので、ある程度英語が理解出来ないとキツイと思います（日本人は私たち夫婦のみでした）。以下はツアーの流れです。

１）ツアー開始時間の30分前に集合です。送迎はありません。私たちはレンタカーで移動をしましたが、ホテルのあるポイプ地区からは意外と遠く、10分ほど遅刻をしてしまいました。

２）事務所に集合をすると、まずは誓約書が渡されます。両面、かつすべて英語ですが、表面は「参加に際しては自己責任です」といった内容、裏面は「45分間水に入っていても大丈夫」「15分間暗い所に入っても大丈夫」といった確認項目がいくつか書いてありました。

３）誓約書が書き終わったら体重を量ります。チューブのサイズを決めるようです。

４)その後、ヘルメットと手袋を受け取ります。

ここまでが事務所での手続きです。この後バンに乗ってポイントに移動します。私たちの時は参加者は20名ほどで、2台のバンに分かれて行きました。車内ではカウアイ島やサトウキビ畑の歴史を説明してくれたり、自己紹介を行ったりしました。また、途中、景色の良い所で写真ストップをしますので、バンでの移動時間は30分ほどだったと思います。

ポイントに到着したら、簡単な注意事項を聞き、その後約45分かけてチューブで浮かびながら用水路を流れていきます。インストラクターの方もいますし、水の流れに身を任せるだけです。

ツアーが終了したら再びバンに乗り、今度はランチスポットに移動をします。ランチはピタパンサンド、ポテチ、クッキー、水など。ランチを食べ終わったら、バンで事務所まで戻り、そのまま解散となります。

参加をされる際、水は冷ためですので、上にＴシャツなどを着ていた方がいいと思います。また、当たり前ですが、チューブで浮かんでいる間はトイレがありませんので、移動前に必ず事務所で済ませて下さい（お尻はだいぶ冷えました）。ランチスポットには簡易トイレが設置されています。

自然も満喫出来ますし、カウアイ島に行かれた際はぜひみなさんもチャレンジしてみて下さいね！

I highly recommend it without a doubt. Most of the Japanese people I was with were repeat visitors.

I will do it again next time.

It was a blast! We had a great time and the location was amazing for our sunset ride! Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area!

It was advertised as a BBQ lunch included, but even though the morning group started their lunch, I was never called over and ended up just watching with my fingers crossed...

My shyness and lack of confidence in English held me back, and in the end, I ended up riding without lunch.

Fortunately, the horseback riding experience was very satisfying.

I hope that in the future, there won't be any more situations like this for Japanese people.

いつになっても声がかかることなく
指をくわえて眺めている形に・・・

結局、ランチなしの乗馬となってしましました。

幸い、乗馬の内容はとても満足でした。

今後このような日本人が発生しないよう願います。

This year, at my grandchild's request, we participated in the Happy Trails horseback riding in North Shore, and we had a fun and meaningful vacation. Furthermore, last year I almost couldn't eat the shrimp (though I ended up eating it because I strongly requested it), but this year, the guide asked for our requests first, which made the activities enjoyable. Next year, I would like to do two of these activities here. I liked it that much. My grandchild was also extremely happy, which made me happy too.

　さらに、昨年は危なくエビシュリンプを食べられなくなりそうだったのですが（実際は途中強く希望したので食べられましたが）、今年は、ガイドの方が最初にリクエストを聞いてくれ気持ちよくアクティビティーが実行できました。来年は、ここを2本実施したいと思います。
それほど気に入ったアクティビティーです。孫も最高に喜んでくれたので、わたしもうれしかったです。

This was my third horseback riding experience in Hawaii. The afternoon reservations were fully booked, so I joined the morning tour. It took exactly two hours to get there from South Kona. I think it would take about an hour from the Waikoloa resort area as well.

We took a van from the meeting point down to the stables. I happened to sit near the sliding door, and since it was open while we were driving, I was able to see the beautiful coastline and waterfalls.

The horse I rode kept stopping multiple times, which made me a bit anxious at the back, but I think even beginners would have no problem riding. I didn't experience any pain in my backside, but towards the end, my knees started to hurt a little, which was tough.

We were able to take photos with the valley in the background. It was my first time entering the river, and I was excited. Perhaps because the water level was high that day, my shoes and even the cuffs of my pants got wet.

They provided a bag to hook onto the saddle for small items like water bottles. I brought my camera and valuables hanging around my neck. I couldn't catch most of the English explanations, so if I had studied the history beforehand, it might have made the experience more profound as a sacred place.

ハワイで3回目の乗馬です。午後の予約はいっぱいで午前のツアーに参加しました。
サウスコナから行ったのできっちり2時間かかりました。ワイコロアのリゾートエリアからでも1時間はかかるかと思います。
集合場所から馬舎まではバンで下っていきます。たまたまスライドドアの近くに座ったら、オープン状態で走行したので海岸や滝がきれいに見れました。
私が乗った馬は何度も立ち止まってしまい後ろの方でやきもきしましたが、初めてのかたでも問題なく乗れると思います。おしりが痛くなることはなかったのですが、最後のほうは膝が痛くなってしまい少しつらかったです。
途中で渓谷をバックに写真を撮ってもらえます。川の中に入るのは初めての体験だったのでワクワクしました。この日は水量が多かったのか、靴はもちろんズボンの裾まで濡れました。
ペットボトルなどの小物は鞍にひっかけるバッグを貸してもらえます。私はカメラと貴重品を首から下げて行きました。
英語の説明はほとんど聞き取れなかったので、前もって歴史を勉強して行くと神聖な場所としてもっと感慨深いものになったかもしれません。

I had never been on a guided horseback ride at a ranch before, so I was a bit worried, but I was completely satisfied. My husband and I participated together, along with five other foreign guests. There were explanations provided in Japanese. I was surprised by the sudden horseback riding, but just as others had shared in their experiences, the horses were well-trained and made for a pleasant ride. Two and a half hours flew by in no time. The vast ranch, the shining sea seen from the mountains—truly, we had a wonderful time. Other ranches might not offer such an experience. The weather changed rapidly, with clouds, sunshine, light rain, and fog, but it felt like we were one with nature, which made it enjoyable. I would love to ride again.

牧場での観光引き馬にした乗ったことがなかったので心配でしたが、もう大満足。夫と二人で参加しました。他には５人の外国人の方。説明は、日本語で書かれたものが用意されていました。いきなりの乗馬。驚きましたが、他の方の体験談を読んだ通りで、馬はよく調教されており、気持ちよく乗せてくれました。２時間半なんてあっという間。広大な牧場、山からみた輝く海、本当にすばらしい時間を過ごすことができました。ほかの牧場ではこんなふうにはいかないかもしれません。曇ったり照ったり小雨が降ったり霧が出たりとめまぐるしく変わる天候も、自然と一体化したようで楽しめました。また乗せてもらいたいと思います。

I participated on July 27. As the sunset approached, the twilight turned into pitch darkness, making it so dark that I couldn't see my feet at all.

However, when I looked up, there was a sky full of stars... I enjoyed a stargazing walk while listening to Mr. Yamauchi's commentary (*^_^*).

I will definitely participate again next time (＾◇＾).

I had an 11-hour transit time in Honolulu, so I made a reservation in advance to move around. The sky and sea were beautiful, and I had a great time. In Japan, we don't have such outdoor experiences, so it was nice.

ホノルルのトランジット時間が11時間あったので、あらかじめ予約して移動しました。空と海がきれいで、楽しかったです。日本では、こうした外のりはないので、良かったです。

One of the things I want to do at least once in my life is skydiving, and I finally got the chance to try it this time!

This activity is influenced by the weather. The group after mine had to wait for a while, and I heard that the altitude was changed. I was lucky.

I watched a video and my partner, Colorado, helped me put on the harness and gave me a brief explanation in English and broken Japanese before we boarded the Cessna. Several teams got on and sat in low seats. Takeoff was quick! We were spinning and climbing higher and higher. I thought, "Wow, this is high!" and before I knew it, we were at 14,000 feet! The door opened, and we moved to the edge like ducks.

Dive!

Wait. All of a sudden?! I thought, "Aren't you going to ask if I'm ready?!" but there was no time for that. It was an adrenaline rush!

I gave hand signals to the cameraman, but I quickly ran out of ideas on what to do. Haha. Also, you often see comedians making funny faces, but that just happens naturally due to the wind pressure.

If you want to capture interesting images or videos, try opening your mouth and relaxing your face; you should be able to bring back some great souvenirs. I also think it's a good idea to come up with various hand signals in advance, even if they're not funny.

After the parachute opened, I enjoyed a thrilling flight before landing. Fun times always end too quickly.

Back at the cabin, I checked the images and videos. They are quite pricey, but it's for the memories.

As for tips, you'll receive an explanation on-site, but there are tip boxes for each instructor and cameraman, so just put your tips there.

I opted for the pick-up service, but you might have to wait a bit until everyone who got on the same ride finishes. I later learned that the driver, who was Japanese, is actually quite an amazing person.

I want to come back!

人生で一度はやっておきたいことシリーズの一つにスカイダイビングがあり、今回ついに機会を得ることができたためトライ！
天候に左右されるアクティビティ。自分の後の組はしばらく待機、高度も変更されたようなことを言ってました。私はラッキーでした。
ビデオをみて、パートナーのコロラドさんにベルトを装着してもらい簡単な説明を英語と片言の日本語でしてもらい、セスナへ。何チームか乗り込み低いシートに腰掛ける。テイクオフ。テンポ早い！ぐるぐる回りながらどんどん上空へ。あー、高い高いなんて呑気に思っていたら…気が付けば14000ft！乗り込み口が開けられそこまでアヒルのように移動。
ダイブ！
え。いきなり⁈
Are you ready?とか聞かねーのかよぉぉぉーっ！と落ちながら思うがもうそれどころではない。アドレナリンラッシュ！
カメラマンにハンドサイン出したりするがすぐにネタが尽きやることがなくなる。笑
あと、よく芸人が変顔さらしたりするがあれは風圧で勝手になる。
面白い画像や映像を撮りたい方は口を開けて顔を脱力したら相当なみやげを持って帰れるはずです。あと面白系じゃなくてもハンドサインは色々考えて行った方がいいと思います。
パラシュート開いたあともスリリングなフライトを楽しませてもらいランディング。楽しい時間はすぐに終わってしまいます。
小屋に戻り画像、映像チェック。なかなかいい値段ですが思い出に。
あと、チップについては現地で説明を受けますが、各インストラクター、カメラマンのチップボックスがあるのでそちらに入れればオッケー。
送迎付きにしましたが行きに乗った人が全員終わるまで帰れないため少しグダることがあるかも。運転手のおじいさんは日本人だが実はなんかすごい人だとあとで知った。
また来たい！

I took the 1 hour and 30 minute canyon course, and once again, I was able to fully experience the great outdoors. This was my third time, and it was still interesting and fun! Also, I was able to ride the same horse as last year! I think even beginners can enjoy it. As a child myself, I understand that at the beginning, the owner gives a reassuring lesson on how to ride in simple Japanese. Additionally, there are staff members in front and behind you while riding! Just be prepared for muscle soreness the next day since the riding time is long! Mahalo!

I was satisfied with everything, including the guide's explanations, photo opportunities, lunch, cocoa with cookies, and their thoughtfulness. They prepare everything for cold weather, including upper and lower clothing, hats, and gloves, so if you prepare warm clothing in advance, you can truly enjoy the experience. However, be careful not to get too excited and make noise at the summit, as it can lead to oxygen deprivation and faintness. But the views are so stunning that you might find yourself wanting to celebrate! I highly recommend it!

ガイドさんの説明、写真撮影、お弁当、ココアにクッキー、
気遣いなどその全てに満足です。
寒さ対策で上下、帽子に手袋とすべて用意してくれるので
ある程度暖かい格好を事前に準備しておけば、心から楽しめます。
ただ、興奮し過ぎて山頂で騒ぐと酸欠で意識が薄れていくので
そこだけは注意してください。でも、思わずはしゃいでしまいそうな
くらいの景色を楽しめます。本当にオススメです！

This was really a fun and beautiful experience. Jessie was our guide, and he did a wonderful job. We were late starting, but that was because in the group prior to us he had a blind man and two elderly. It shows his patience that these three were able to complete this adventure. Let me state this is not for those who are not moderate to fit. The paddle can be tough if the wind is blowing (which it normally is). And the hike is beautiful (but can be muddy and you have to watch your step). We would highly recommend this trip for those up for the adventure. Again, Jessie is your man! It is beautiful, he is knowledgeable, and it was very fun!

I made a reservation for a course on July 20, 2013, at 8:30 AM. I participated with my husband, my daughter who is in high school, and my son who is in elementary school. I was quite anxious! Although I had been on a horse before, it was at a ranch in Japan where the ranch staff held the reins and we just rode around a designated area, so I was worried if we could ride here too.

The horse was quite tall, easily exceeding my height of 154 cm, and seemed to be about 175 cm. Once I finally got on, the view was different. At first, I was scared, but as I rode, I became completely okay with it. The horse was very calm and listened to us well. I was taught how to guide the horse with commands like stop, go, right, and left. Two young ladies accompanied us, one at the front and one at the back, with our family in the middle. They spoke English, but I was able to understand everything, so please don't worry.

The ranch on the Big Island of Hawaii is not flat like in Japan, so it was interesting with hills and valleys. It's better to speak to the horse in English for better understanding! For example, "thank you" translates to "THANK YOU," and "good" can be used for phrases like "it's okay" or "good job."

2013/07/20（土）の8：30～にコースで予約いたしました。
私、主人、高1の娘、小6の息子で参加しました。結構不安でした！馬になったことはあってもそれは日本の牧場で馬の手綱を牧場の人が持って私たちは乗ってるだけで、一定の場所を1周するという感じだったので、こんな私たちでも乗れるのか不安だったのです。
馬の背は高く私の身長（154cm)を優に超えて175cmあったようでした。そこにやっと乗ると景色が違いました。最初は怖かったですが、乗っているうちに全然Ｏｋになりました。馬も全然おとなしくてゆうことをきいてくれていました。止まれ！進め！右！左！の馬の誘導の仕方は教えていただけました。2人のお姉さんが先頭と最後尾についてくれて私たち家族を真ん中にして進みました。お姉さんたちは英語でしたが、全然理解ができましたので、ご安心ください。
ハワイ島の牧場は日本のように平ではないので山あり谷ありで面白かったですよ。
馬に対しては英語で話しかけた方が理解してくれますよ！ありがとう→THANK YOU,いいよとかよしよしとか→GOODという感じです。

The moment I jumped was scary, but before I knew it, I was flying, and then it was just a matter of falling. While I was falling, it was painful, and I wished it would end quickly, but when the parachute opened, a beautiful view came into sight. I was moved by the blue sky and the beautiful ocean unique to Hawaii. I think photos and videos don't have to be expensive, but the scenery was captured very beautifully.

飛び降りる瞬間は怖かったですが、いつの間にか飛んでしまうのであとは落ちるのみです。
落ちている間は苦しくて早く終わってほしいと思いましたが、パラシュートが開くと綺麗な景色が飛び込んできます。
ハワイならではの青い空ときれいな海が一望できて感動しました。
写真とビデオは高いのでなくてもいいかと思いますが、景色がとても綺麗に写っていました。

We enjoyed this excursion! alot of fun, exciting especially, going to the top Lihue Sugar Plantation Hawaii Garden Isle and The Tunnels. The Staff is very helpful and experienced. Rain or shine it is worth the time also there is a stop for Lunch which is a good thing so we can take a break.

I was worried about altitude sickness, but as long as I followed the precautions, I was fine. The sunset was truly beautiful and refreshing for the soul. I was moved to see the starry sky for the first time after it got dark. I'm really glad I chose the tour with Nature School. I was also able to download the photos. Thank you very much.

心配していた高山病も、注意どおりにしていれば問題なく大丈夫でした。
夕日が沈む様子は本当に美しく、心が洗われるようでした。
暗くなってから満天の星空を初めて見て、感動しました。

Mount Fuji has been registered as a World Heritage Site, but I don't think there's another mountain where you can drive up to such a high elevation.

The road conditions can be quite poor, so those who are prone to motion sickness should be cautious. (However, since it can be troublesome to feel sleepy at high altitudes, it's worth considering medication...)

The view is absolutely breathtaking; looking down at the clouds, the sunset, and fortunately, it was close to a new moon, so I was moved to see how many stars are actually visible. If I ever come back to Big Island or if someone I know is going, I would definitely recommend this tour. I think going on your own would be very difficult, so I recommend participating in a tour.

As for keeping warm, it can be quite cold even near the Onizuka Visitor Center. It's a good idea to bring long pants and an additional layer like a sweatshirt or hoodie. Wearing the provided cold-weather gear will also keep you warm enough.

富士山が世界遺産に登録されましたが、それより高い山頂付近まで車で登れる山
ココ以外にないのではないでしょうか？？

道路事情は非常に悪い道も通りますので、酔いやすい方はご注意ください。
（ただ高地で眠くなると困るので、薬の服用は要検討で・・・）

非常に絶景で、雲を眼下に眺める景色、サンセット、幸いに新月に近い日だったこともあり
こんなに多くの星空が本当は見えるんだな、と感動しました。
またビックアイラインドに来ることがある、もしくは知り合いが行くことがあれば
絶対にオススメしたいツアーです。
なお個人で行くのは非常に困難だと思いますので、ツアーで参加をオススメします。

また防寒ですが本当にオニヅカビジターセンター付近でも十分に寒いです。
長ズボン＋１枚羽織れるトレーナやパーカー等の持参がよいです。あとは貸し出しの防寒具を
身に着ければ十分大丈夫ですよ。

Amazing ride.. Would definitely go again!! Thank You Sarah for a wonderful time...first time on an ATV- easy to maneuver. Beautiful countryside to explore. Well worth the $ spent! Teenage boys had a blast too!

Best activity in Hawaii. Kualoa valley was incredibly beautiful. The 2 hour ride was absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

Great glider ride. Very beautiful and quiet. Mr. Bill was great and very friendly. Would recommend for a good adventurous activity while in Hawaii.

About eight years ago, I participated in a stargazing tour. As I was visiting Maui again after a long time, my entire family unanimously wanted to join once more, so we made a reservation.

On the day of the tour, there were some thin clouds, and I was worried about whether we would be able to see the stars, but when we looked up at the observation point, we were greeted with a sky full of stars. The beauty of the stars seen through the telescope was, of course, breathtaking, but I was truly moved by Mr. Yamauchi's explanations and stories.

During dinner, there was a question about what food you would want to eat as your last meal in life, and I can say without hesitation that if I could only visit one place before I die, it would be to see this starry sky. Of course, with Mr. Yamauchi's explanations... Thank you!

8年ほど前に参加させていただいた星空観測ツアー。久しぶりにマウイを訪れるにあたり、家族全員一致でもう一度参加したいとの思いで予約しました。
当日は若干うす雲が広がり、星空が見えるかどうか気がかりでしたが、いざ観測地点で見上げると一面の星空。
天体望遠鏡を通じてみた星々の美しさはもちろんでしたが、山内さんの解説や話の内容にただただ感激のひとときでした。
食事中に、一生のうちで最後に食べたい食べ物は何？などという質問がありましたが、死ぬまでに一カ所だけ行けるとしたら、文句なしにこの星空を見に行きたいと言えます。もちろん、山内さんの解説付きで…

This was an awesome and excellent experience and our ride guide Kaui was wonderful! She took out pictures whenever us the riders wanted out pictures took at photo sites. The 2hr ride is much more hands on and allows you to see the property a lot better than the 1 hour ride. I had such fun and I recommend this event to all would might be curious about this ATV ride.

This was probably our favorite thing we did in Hawaii. Matteus (sp?) took us on an amazing jungle hike and even took photos along the way. We ended up and an awesome waterfall that you could never find on your own. The downhill bike ride was fun too, despite the pouring rain.

On July 14th, which was exactly between the new moon and the full moon, we were able to see a wonderful sunset with no wind. This was my second trip to Maui, and I traveled with my family (including my 87-year-old mother), but this tour was attended by my six siblings. Since we used a car for the entire itinerary, there wasn't much walking involved, and I thought my mother could have joined us. I was moved by the amazing sunset and the romantic starry sky, and I was very satisfied with the explanations and personality of our tour guide, Yamapi. I would like to participate again during the new moon next time. I absolutely recommend it.

サンセットを見ることができました。今回マウイは二回目、旅行はファミリー（８７歳の母を含む）でいきましたがこのツアーは兄弟姉妹６人で参加しました。全行程車利用でしたのでそんなに歩くところもなく、これなら母も参加すればよかったと思いました。素晴らしいサンセットとロマンあふれる星空に感動、ツアーガイドのヤマピーさんの説明や人柄等とても満足のいくものでした。次回は新月の時にまた参加したいと思っています。

We participated as a family. We took a taxi to the ranch. It took about an hour by car from the Hilton where we were staying (it might take longer if you're not familiar with the roads), costing around $100. Our family of three joined a group of four young foreigners, and we had two female guides. Excluding the safety instructions and equipment explanations, we had a full two hours of riding time. The guides spoke broken Japanese, but there were no issues. The horses were very gentle and seemed to remember the path on their own, so they moved forward just by riding them (though some cues were needed when they were slow). Those who wanted could canter, and my companion, despite being a beginner, managed to canter. It was said that there are some cold spots on the ranch, and the guides provided windbreakers for us. The guides, although speaking broken Japanese, were attentive to us, making for an enjoyable two hours. I booked the activity for the first time through Alan, and the process was smooth with no particular issues.

家族で参加しました。牧場まではタクシーを使いました。泊まっているヒルトンから車で飛ばして１時間（道に精通していなければ多分もっとかかります）、100ドルほどです。われわれ家族３人と外国人の若者グループ４人が参加して、ガイドの女性が２人つきました。注意事項や装備の説明を除いて乗っている時間はたっぷり２時間はありました。ガイドは片言の日本語ですが、問題はなかったです。馬は大変大人しく、自分で道を覚えており、乗っているだけで進んで行ってくれます〈遅い時は、多少の合図は必要です〉。希望者はキャンター（駆足）も可能で、連れは初心者にも関わらずキャンターをしてました。牧場内では寒くなる場所もあるそうで、ガイドがウインドブレーカーも用意してくれました。ガイドは日本語を片言ですが、われわれにも気を配ってくれて楽しい２時間でした。アランさんを通じて初めてアクティビティを予約しましたが、手続きはスムーズで特に問題はありませんでした。

I participated in the beach horseback riding plan. The horses were all gentle, making it safe for beginners, and the ocean was very beautiful. The garlic shrimp at Macky's, recommended by our guide, was incredibly delicious. The guide also suggested the marinated tuna, which was tasty too! (It was available at a supermarket in Haleiwa.)
