After reading Satomi Kobayashi's "Aloha Spirit," I was looking forward to experiencing horseback riding in Waipi'o Valley when I visited the Big Island! About half of the participants were Japanese, and the other half were from English-speaking countries. There were only Japanese among the Asian participants.

It was my first time horseback riding, and I was nervous, but it was a very kind and enjoyable experience. I walked through the river and felt that I would like to try horseback riding again. It was a great experience to feel the great nature of Waipi'o Valley up close.

I'm afraid of heights, but I wanted to try something like this at least once in my life, driven by curiosity! I thought if I was going to do it, I wanted to do it in Hawaii, not Japan.

The scenery was truly beautiful, and while traveling in the Cessna, the clouds spread out before us! The ocean looked incredibly beautiful as well.

It was a new moon, so I was amazed to see more stars than I had imagined. The explanations about the stars were clear and detailed, using a laser pointer, which made it interesting. I brought two Uniqlo Ultra Light Down jackets, but since they offered to lend ski wear, I thought I would be fine and only wore one. I regretted that at the summit because it was really cold with the strong wind. But overall, I was very satisfied!

新月だったこともあり、想像以上にたくさんの星が見られて感動でした。
星の説明もレーザーポインターを使いながら分かりやすく詳しくしてくださり、面白かったです。ユニクロのウルトラライトダウンを二枚持参しましたが、スキーウエアを貸してくださるので大丈夫かと思って、1枚だけしか着なかったことを山頂で後悔しました。風が強いと本当に寒いです。でも大満足でした！

I tried it based on a recommendation from Zenji, who I met on a tour of the North Shore last time.

On the day we participated, there happened to be a small number of participants, so there was no waiting time.

Usually, there might be a bit of a wait, but it seems that waiting time is influenced not only by the number of people but also by the weather. If the weather is bad and you have to wait for it to improve, there could be a wait...

The instructor I had was almost fluent in Japanese, so I understood the explanations right away. My friend mentioned that the explanations in English were a bit hard to follow. However, during the jump, I think there isn't much need for explanations since you mostly leave everything to the instructor.

For first-timers, I believe that if you check a bit online about what skydiving is like beforehand, you can try it without any anxiety.

It was a beautiful day, so we could see whales and various landscapes from the sky; it was a breathtaking attraction. The photographer also captured great moments, including a two-shot with my friend and scenes where we looked nervous, which are really memorable. I definitely want to participate again next time.

前回参加したノースショアのツアーのぜんじさんにおすすめしていただいてチャレンジしてみました。

私たちが参加した日は参加人数がたまたま少なかったため待ち時間はありませんでした。

普段はもう少し待ち時間が出るようですが、待ち時間は人数だけでなく天候に左右されるようです。
お天気が悪く、良くなるのを待たないといけない場合待ち時間が出るとか…。
インストラクターの方も私がついていただいた方はほぼ日本語が話せる方だったので説明がすぐわかりました。
友達は英語での説明が少しわかりにくかったと話してます。
しかし、飛ぶ最中はほぼインストラクターに全ておまかせ状態なので、あまり説明も必要ないかと思いました。
初めての方はスカイダイビングがどのようなものか事前にネットで少し確認しておけば、不安もなくトライできると思います。

とてもいいお天気だったので、空からクジラやいろんな景色も見れて、絶景アトラクションでした。
カメラマンの方も一緒に参加した友達とのツーショットや私たちが緊張してて、後から見ると笑えるシーンも撮ってくださり大変思い出になります。
また次回ぜひ参加したいです。

On my first skydiving experience, I was really scared since I'm not good with thrill rides, but once it was over, I immediately wanted to jump again. It was that much fun! The breathtaking scenery was right in front of me without anything blocking the view. The moment I jumped, I didn't feel alive, but from there on, it was the best feeling. It seems that if there are even a few clouds, it can take quite a while to wait for the weather, but that day was clear and it was a less crowded day, so I was able to return to the hotel by early afternoon.

I have experienced horseback riding in Hawaii several times, and here you can ride through the river, and the dogs that are kept here are adorable, which is irresistible for dog lovers ❤. My daughter (who might be under 18) didn't want to wear the helmet because it smelled bad, but the cuteness of the horses made up for it. I wore water shoes so that my shoes wouldn't get dirty. ハワイでの乗馬体験は数回利用してますがこちらは川の中を乗馬したりこちらに飼われているワンコたちも愛らしくて犬好きにはたまらない❤
ただ、蚊が乗馬中に襲ってくるので刺されまくり、娘は（１８歳未満だったかな）はヘルメット着用がヘルメットが臭いので嫌がってましたが馬の可愛さでチャラになります。

I was worried about the cold, but it turned out to be a warm and enjoyable tour. We stopped at various places to take photos, and at the summit, they took pictures of us in recommended poses, which was very kind. The weather was great that day, and the sunset sinking into the sea of clouds was beautiful. The starry sky I had been looking forward to was also clearly visible, and we took plenty of time to enjoy the explanations of the constellations. It was moving to see the Milky Way and shooting stars. The lunch box (with miso soup) and the tea and cookies we had along the way were also great.

The instructor was cheerful and made sure we were properly equipped, which made me feel safe. It's a unique experience that I think you should try if you're interested. However, I did experience ear pain due to changes in air pressure. Without that, I think I would have enjoyed it even more. When you request photos, they also take a video, but you can ask for whichever you prefer at the end. I only requested photos, but they took over 200 shots for me.

I was scared when falling, even though I'm not afraid of heights!

It was the first time for our entire family to go horseback riding. Although there were various troubles along the way, such as the horse eating grass and getting lost, those troubles turned into funny stories later, and everyone said they had a great time.

We had a great time exploring Haleiwa and experiencing horseback riding. It was our first visit to Haleiwa, and we were able to enjoy some leisurely shopping and dining, making for a fulfilling experience. The horseback riding course took us along the beach and through some gentle hills. The sea breeze we felt from atop the horse was very pleasant. On our way back, we stopped by a beach and encountered a sea turtle. We had heard from our guide that it was rare to see one, so we were both thrilled.

1) On the day I participated (January 2), I later heard at the hotel that there was a severe storm on the mountain, and all other companies had canceled their tours. While it's true that mountain weather can be unpredictable, I believe it was reckless to proceed with the tour. In the end, we ate our bento at the visitor center, couldn't go outside due to the heavy rain, and of course, we couldn't see the sunset. After that, we moved to a lower area where we could see stars through the gaps in the clouds, and we only looked at the moon through a telescope (even then, it was very windy). While I understand that weather is beyond control, if there was a storm on the mountain, I think the tour should have been canceled and refunds issued. I didn't join to see the moon from the side of a regular road.

2) When I changed the date, I realized I had made a mistake with the day of the week. When I called back to confirm, the man who answered said in a harsh tone, "It should be fine this time, right?" which left me feeling unpleasant.

3) On the day of the tour, I was told to arrive 50 minutes early, but in the end, the bus arrived 30 minutes later than the time given. The driver didn't offer any apology. It felt like the participation fee and time were completely wasted on this tour.

Kualoa Ranch Zipline Tour & Jurassic Valley Adventure

The zipline at the Kualoa Ranch was great. I've always wanted to try it, so when I heard that they started zipline there, I signed up without hesitation. After the check-in, a nice bus guide took me on an off-road ride to the zipline station in the back of the valley. It was pretty cool to see a working cattle ranch that was used for many movies and TV shows. Once I got there, I was greeted by 3 guides who escorted our group to the tour. They did a pretty good job explaining the botanical information around each course, and of course, setting us up on the zipline to fly across the valley! There were 7 courses and a couple of suspension bridges. It was great, and I recommend this to everyone!

This was my second dive, following last year. This time, I flew through the sky with my sister. Just when I thought it was all over because of the clouds, we got the signal to go. While I was excited, my sister looked worried. But in an instant, we were in the clouds and then dove down!!
I was giving a relaxed Aloha sign, while my sister was giving a desperate Aloha sign. Both became wonderful memories. Skydiving is the best!!

去年に続き２回目のダイブ。今回は妹と一緒に大空を飛びました。雲がかかり、もうダメかと思った最後の最後、Ｇｏの合図。わくわくする私の横で、心配そうにする妹。でもあっという間に雲の中へそして一気にダイブ！！

Words can't describe how amazing it was to skydive with them! My sister and I, 18 &22 had the time of our life! It was the highlight of our vacation and both agree that we will go again. We were both a bit anxious, but excited and are so glad that we followed through. The staff was friendly and understanding, as well as very reassuring! We were always comfortable when dealing with them. It's a must!

I traveled around the Big Island by rental car, but since you can't drive to the summit of Mauna Kea in a private vehicle, I joined this tour. The experience, including the guide's explanations, exceeded my expectations. It was my first time at an altitude of over 4000 meters, so I felt a bit of altitude sickness (nothing too serious though...). However, the view from the summit, the sunset, and the starry night sky were beyond imagination.

ハワイ島ではレンタカーで回ってましたが、マウナケア山頂まで自家用車でいけないのでこのツアーに参加しました。ガイドさんの説明も含めて予想以上のすばらしさでした。山頂では初めての4000m以上の高さなので私一人高山病ぎみでした(大した症状ではないですが。。)
でもその頂上から見る景色、サンセットそれと夜空の星は想像以上でした。

If you're tired of slow horseback riding in Kualoa, want to gallop like a cowboy from a Western, or simply love Western riding, I believe GUNSTOCK is the perfect ranch for you.

I experienced horseback riding at 1. Kualoa, 2. Koko Crater, 3. Turtle Bay Hilton, and 4. GUNSTOCK, and among them, this one is the best.

2 also offers a great view from a small hill, but it's more British. 3 was a horseback trek along the beach. At 4, during the trek, they were practicing roping calves in the back arena.

Next time, I hope to stay overnight at this ranch for a cowboy experience. (Note: For those who want to experience Western riding in Japan, Eldorado in Chiba is the best.)

We have visited Hawaii many times, but this was our second time on the Big Island.
Renting a car for island sightseeing and experiencing the Mauna Kea sunset and stargazing were our top two priorities.

Kipu Safari Adventure - Zipline, Hike, Kayak & Waterfall Swim with Lunch

While we stopped in two muddy holes for swimming, there was no waterfall swim as announced.
Kayaking was really nice and peaceful. While the zip lines are long there are only two of them (not the three as described). Also a special note for the lunch, best lunch from all the activities we did, that has been improved since the previous reviews.

It was called Sashimi fishing, but no Sashimi. The wind was too strong when we went, so we got very seasicked. The staff was friendly, but one of the guy was flirting with my friend and even patted my friend's leg, and we don't like it.

My grandmother and my 4-year-old son participated. I thought he would be scared, but he wasn't scared at all. I was also impressed that they were regular horses, not ponies.

During our riding time, we were able to play at the ranch, so we were never bored.

怖がるかと思いきや全く怖がることありませんでした。
