Thank you very much for all your help this time. Thanks to you, the weather was great, and I was able to see the vast Big Island of Hawaii and the long-desired Kilauea Volcano from the sky. If I had to say, it would have been perfect to see a bit more volcanic activity, but I suppose we can't go against nature (laughs). However, I was satisfied as I could clearly see the lava flowing.

I was a bit concerned about the budget, but considering it as a once-in-a-lifetime memory, I don't think it was expensive at all.

I was hesitant to participate because the price was high, but I really wanted to see the red lava, so I decided to join.

The helicopter with doors had a pilot plus six passengers, while the doorless helicopter had a pilot plus four passengers.

Check-in time is one hour before departure. I parked my rental car in the airport parking lot and paid about $7 at the parking lot exit on my way back. Luggage is generally left at the reception. If you want to bring items like cameras or smartphones, they must have a strap, so be careful. A short strap can be purchased for $2. I brought my smartphone in a waterproof cover with a strap since it couldn't have a strap attached. Long hair needs to be tied up.

Forty minutes before departure, we watched a video about lava and volcanoes, followed by a safety briefing from the staff regarding seat belts and other instructions.

It was my first time on a helicopter, so I was scared at first, but the view of the Big Island from above was wonderful. It rained on and off that day, and there were moments of heavy rain on the ground, but we were able to depart without any issues, and I didn't get wet inside the doorless helicopter. On the way to the volcano, we saw vast macadamia nut fields. I could easily spot the ocean entry from the smoke rising, but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't see the red lava. Along the way, we circled above the area where the red lava was visible among the black lava fields, allowing us to take photos. They circled so that both sides could take pictures, which made me a little nauseous.

At the crater, most of the surface was black, but I was very moved to see some red lava bubbling. (It was something I personally really wanted to see.)

After that, we returned to Hilo through breaks in the clouds. Along the way, we saw several waterfalls and the streets of Hilo. The pilot provided explanations in English throughout.

The flight lasted just under an hour, but I was very satisfied to see the red lava, adding to the extraordinary experience of being in a helicopter. I also considered a boat tour to see the ocean entry, but based on the activity in August 2017, it seemed that the ocean entry wasn't flowing with a lot of red lava, so I felt glad to have participated in this tour where I could directly see the red lava inside the crater.

荷物は基本受付に預けて置いていきます。
カメラやスマホなど持ち込みたいものはストラップ付きでないと不可なので気をつけて。

ストラップのつけられないスマホはストラップ付きの防水カバーに入れて持ち込みました。
長い髪は束ねる必要があります。
出発時間の40分前から溶岩・火山に関するビデオを見た後に係員によるシートベルトなどの説明がありました。

ヘリコプターが初めてだったので最初は怖かったけど上空から見るハワイ島の景色はとても素敵でした。
この日は雨が降ったり止んだりで、地上では一瞬強い雨の時もあったけど問題なく出発できましたし、ドアなしでも機内で濡れることはなかったです。
ボルケーノに向かう途中では広大なマカダミアナッツ畑が見れました。
オーシャンエントリーは立ち上る煙で遠くからすぐわかりましたが赤い溶岩は見えなくて少しがっかり。
途中、黒い溶岩の大地の中で赤い溶岩が見えているところの上空を旋回して写真を撮らせてくれたりしました。左右どちらに乗っても撮れるように旋回してくれたので若干酔いました。
火口では表面の大部分が黒いですが、一部赤い溶岩がふつふつと動いているのが見れてとても感動しました。
（個人的にとても見たかったものなので）

その後は雲の切れ間を通りヒロへと帰還。
途中いくつかの滝を見たりヒロの街並みが見れます。
パイロットが英語でひたすら説明してくれます。

合計1時間弱のフライトでしたがヘリコプターという非日常に加えて念願の赤い溶岩が見れて大満足でした。
オーシャンエントリーが見られる船のツアーとも迷いましたが2017年8月の活動の様子だとオーシャンエントリーではがっつり赤い溶岩が流れてくるというわけではなさそうな感じがしたので火口の内部の赤い溶岩を直接見ることができたこのツアーに参加して良かったと思いました。

I had missed the chance to see manta rays in Palau and Ishigaki Island, so I joined the tour with the hope that this time I wouldn't miss out. My family was actually quite skeptical, thinking it might be impossible. However, I’m really glad I went! On that day, three manta rays came to us, and they turned around multiple times, which was just amazing! This was the best memory from my experience on the Big Island. I hope everyone can have a wonderful experience at Manta University as well. If I have the opportunity to go back to the Big Island, I would love to participate again.

On August 1st, I participated with six people, including two children. I think there is a need for improvement in guiding to the seats, but the buffet food was delicious, and the luau show was enjoyable with various performances like hula dancing and fire shows. I thought three hours from 5 PM to 8 PM would be long, but with the meal, the show, and the sunset along with the natural setting, I was able to enjoy it without getting bored.

You can interact with the dolphins comfortably under the guidance of the trainers. However, all communication is in English. The trainers are very friendly and use gestures to express themselves, but it would be less stressful if you have a basic understanding of English.

The experience lasts for 30 minutes, but you won't be interacting with the dolphins continuously for that entire time. Depending on the dolphins' situation, there will be moments when you are separated from them, and then you will interact with them again under the trainer's guidance. However, it felt like the total time was more than 30 minutes.

The dolphins are truly adorable, and the experience of being able to touch them is very valuable.

Also, when participating in this activity, you need to bring a bath towel from your hotel room. I forgot mine and ended up purchasing a towel from the shop for $30.

Additionally, during the activity, you are not allowed to take any photos or videos. Each group has a dedicated photographer, and you can purchase the footage for $100 (the video lasts for 20 minutes). You need to request this at check-in. あと、こちらのアクティビティーに参加する際にはホテルの部屋からバスタオルを持っていかねばなりません。忘れてしまい、ショップのタオルを30ドルで購入しました。
あと、アクティビティー中は写真やビデオの撮影は一切できません。映像は各グループにつききっりの撮影者が付き、100ドルで購入可能です（映像の長さは20分間）。チェックインの際にお願いしなければなりません。写真はアクティビティーの後で、画像データを全部購入や、1枚ずつの写真印刷等、色々選べます。画像データは40カット全部を買うと125ドルですが、個別で買っても6画像ぐらい買うと結局それぐらいになります。

It takes about 30 minutes by powerboat from the meeting point to arrive off the Sheraton Hotel. The sunset is amazing.
When we arrived, there were about 7 or 8 boats gathered.
After the sunset, we held onto the boat and enjoyed manta ray watching for about 40 minutes.
During that time, we saw manta rays ranging from 50 cm to 100 cm about 10 times.
On the way back, we returned in the powerboat through the darkness for 30 minutes, but it started to rain and it was quite cold and uncomfortable.
I think a tour that meets near the Sheraton would be easier and quicker.

They guided us with careful encouragement while cherishing Hawaii's nature and dolphins, ensuring that guests could fully enjoy snorkeling. My 7-year-old son, who was experiencing the ocean for the first time, jumped in with a wonderful smile without any fear. Even for me, a first-time snorkeler, I was able to relax without a floatation device thanks to the guide's suggestion, "Mom, you'll be fine without a float, you can do it," and I entrusted my children to them, allowing us to fully enjoy the beautiful world of dolphins. I am truly grateful for being able to share such a happy experience with my children! I will not forget the smiles of the staff and the ocean of Hawaii, and I definitely want to visit the Big Island again.

My husband and I had a wonderful time with Kevin! He made us feel safe and comfortable. We had an amazing time snorkeling and the cave was awesome. Would recommend this to anyone and would also do again when we go back to Hawaii!

I participated with my 70-year-old parents. My father struggled with snorkeling and gave up partway through, but during that time, our guide, Tori, frequently checked on him as we returned to the boat. My mother seemed to be having a great time, looking around in the water the whole time.

The manta rays come very close; it's an incredible experience!
