Due to traffic (not indicated by Google Maps) we were running late. I called the boat office and they would not hold the boat for me for 7 minutes, as that is all we needed after the traffic picked up to get to the pier. Extremely disappointed! It was our last night in Hawaii so we couldn't make it up. $450 in the air. Hopefully Veltra will understand and issue a refund.

This is my third time, and it's always great no matter how many times I participate. It's truly a wonderful time, like being in a dream. This time, I didn't see anything in the first half, so I gave up and went back to the boat, took off my wetsuit, and was drinking cocoa when suddenly it appeared! I hurriedly grabbed my camera, put on my snorkeling gear just as I was, and went back into the sea. I'm so glad I got to see it!

今回で3回目ですが、何回参加してもいいですね。
本当に夢の中にいるような素敵な時間です。
今回は前半全く現れず、諦めて船に戻りウエットスーツを脱いでココアを飲んでいたら現れたではありませんか！

We have been coming here for quite a while and have attended more luaus than I can count. The island breeze luau is the best. What makes this one great is the history of the island that is part of the program. Plus the buffet is the best one around. And just like in real estate, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!!!!
We recently moved here so a luau is always on the agenda when friends come. We still get as excited now as the first one we ever saw.

I was a bit worried before participating because there was a possibility that we might not see anything after coming all the way to the Big Island and paying money, but... we did see them (^_^). It was thrilling to see them up close. However, I did get seasick... I had never experienced motion sickness or seasickness before, but this time I was really affected (*_*). The boat rocked quite a bit before the manta rays appeared at the spot. I ended up giving up halfway, but the guide was very kind and reassuring throughout the trip. Since you get wet and it can be very cold on the way back, I definitely think you should bring something to wear over yourself!! My husband was shivering too (laughs). If you take motion sickness medication and are well-prepared, it’s a very satisfying tour☆

見られない可能性があるということで参加前は少し心配していましたが、、、見られました(^_^)
間近で見られて感激です。
ただ船酔いが…
今まで乗り物酔い、船酔いとしたことがなかったのですががっつり酔ってしまいました(*_*)
ポイントについてからマンタが現れるまでがかなり揺れます。
途中でギブアップしてしまいましたが、ガイドさんが終始優しく対応してくれて安心しました。
体が濡れて帰りはとても寒いので羽織るものを絶対に持っていった方がいいと思います！！
旦那も震えてました(笑)
酔い止め飲んで装備もしっかりしていけばとても満足なツアーですよ☆

Absolutely fantastic. Our two guides were extremely knowledgeable about the Island and told us things that you would only get on a tour. The kayaking was a blast and we had visibility to 100 feet. We went kayaking into a sea cave and were also able to snorkel there as well. We saw many fish, urchins, and even an eel in a tidal pond that our guide took us to. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to cross off their bucket list, kayaking across the bay/ocean, seeing ancient tombs, and being face to face with God's wonderful creation of the Island. This was my first stay at Hilton. Since I wanted to see a traditional show during this trip, I experienced the Luau & Hula Hawaiian Show. I reserved a premium seat, and I had the best position right in the middle of the front row! The show included traditional performances, unique acts, and fire dancing, and I was very satisfied with the content. The food was delicious too. I definitely recommend it if you're staying at Hilton.

The time spent playing with the dolphins was short, so I felt it might not be worth the cost in terms of enjoyment. However, you can see the dolphins up close, so that might be satisfying enough.

After reading everyone's reviews, we decided not to upgrade our seats and lined up in front of the reception about 30 minutes early to wait for it to open. Naturally, there weren't many people lining up that early, so we were first in line. As a result, we were guided to the best seats in the general area, which had a great view. The food was just okay.

This might be true for shows everywhere, but even though this is Hawaii, I was a bit disappointed that there were more revealing Tahitian dances than elegant Hawaiian hula. However, the final fire knife dance is always a highlight, no matter how many times you see it.

皆さんの口コミを見て、席のグレードアップはせず、30分くらい前から受付前に並び、開くのを待ちました。当然こんなに早く並んでいる人たちはおらず、私たちが1番。なので一般席の中でも1番前の見やすい席へ案内してもらえました。料理もまあまあかな。

This was my first time participating in horseback riding at the Kohala Coast. Previously, I rode in Waipi'o Valley. Riding in Waipi'o was quite thrilling, as the horse would wade through the river, almost getting our feet wet, and it was a lot of fun. However, this year, due to concerns about Zika and dengue fever, I opted for horseback riding in the mountains.

All the staff were women, and they were all adorable cowgirls. They let us run the horses at times, which gave a very free impression. Helmets, boots, and jackets for riding can be rented on-site. You can hang a pocket on the horse's back to carry water bottles, valuables, and cameras.

At scenic spots, they took photos for us. I highly recommend horseback riding on the Big Island!

今回、コハラ・コーストでの乗馬ははじめての参加です。以前はワイピオ渓谷での乗馬でした。ワイピオも水に足が浸かりそうな程ジャブジャブと川の中を馬の背に揺られたりしてかなりスリリングな体験ができて楽しかったですが、今年はジカ熱やデング熱の心配があるからと、山の上での乗馬にしました。
スタッフは全員女性。かわいいカウガールばかりでした。途中で走らせてくれたり、かなり自由な印象です。乗馬用のヘルメットやブーツ、上着などはその場でレンタルできます。馬の背にポケットを下げて、ペットボルや貴重品、カメラなどを持つことができます。
景色の良いところでは、写真を撮っていただけました。
ハワイ島での乗馬はおススメです！！

The guide, Tori, was bright and kind, a really nice person! I was a bit worried about the night snorkeling since it was my first time, but we just held onto a board with lights and floated, so there was nothing to worry about at all. I was more moved by the manta rays that kept coming right up to us. We were in the water for about 30 minutes, so after getting out, it felt cold, so it's essential to have something to wear. I also think it's a good idea to bring a waterproof camera. You can take photos up close!

Eka Canoe provided a great tour. The small group size gave a really good guide/tourist ratio. The fact that the boat sailed from Keauhou Bay meant that we only had a short (about five minutes) ride to the viewpoint. The experience of watching these creatures was fantastic. They are wild animals, so one never knows what to expect. I did not see the "inverted loop" feeding behaviour that is usually shown in promotional videos, but I saw four mantas cruising mid-way between the bottom and the surface. It was a remarkable experience. The crew and guide looked after us well. They were booked up for the remaining evenings that I had on the Big Island or I would have returned for a repeat tour!

Since I was staying at the Sheraton near Keauhou Bay, it was easy to get around, and because it was an early morning tour, I was able to spend my time meaningfully. Although I didn't encounter any dolphins or sea turtles, kayaking was a fun experience that I don't often get to do. Compared to Oahu, the water was very clear and beautiful. Viewing the Big Island from the sea was interesting as I could feel the volcanic rock formations and the lush greenery.

ケアウホウ湾近くの、シェラトンに宿泊していたため、移動が楽で、早朝ツアーということもあり、時間を有意義に過ごせました。イルカやウミガメには出会えませんでしたが、カヤックを漕ぐことが、普段なかなかできない体験なので楽しかったです。オアフ島と比較して、海もとても澄んでいて綺麗でした。海の上からハワイ島を見ると火山性の岩の地形や、緑の自然を感じられて面白かったです。

It was such an amazing experience, my husband and I decided to buy a kayak, at some point. The guides were also awesome and they told us some history, as well as helped us found objects that we dropped out of they kayak. One guide actually found my husbands wedding ring that fell off his hand when he jumped off one of the cliffs. It was truly amazing and such a fun time with the group!

I had previously participated in horseback riding in Waipi'o Valley on the Big Island, but this time I joined a horseback riding tour for the first time at the vast "Kohala Coast," which is less than an hour from Waikoloa Beach Resort. The view from the high elevation overlooking the coastline leading to the ranch was spectacular, and I really enjoyed the drive with the rental car.

There were only four of us women on the tour, which made me a bit anxious, but the guide communicated in broken Japanese, and we managed to confirm the necessary precautions through gestures, allowing us to start safely. The explanations during the tour were in English, so I didn't understand much. However, all the horses were calm and well-trained, so I felt safe letting myself go. I enjoyed the fresh air in the vast grasslands while admiring the scenery from horseback, and I had a great time on the "one and a half hour course"!

今までハワイ島でワイピオ渓谷での乗馬に参加していましたが、今回ワイコロアビーチリゾートから１時間弱、大草原「コハラ・コースト」での乗馬に初めて参加しました。標高が高く牧場へ向かう海岸線を見下ろす眺望は素晴らしく、レンタカーでのドライブも結構楽しめました。
ツアー参加者は私達女性４人のみで多少不安でしたが、案内は片言の日本語で何とか身振り手振りで諸注意事項も確認し合い無事にスタートが切れました。途中での説明は「英語」なので、分からない。どの馬も大人しくて良く調教されているので安心して身を任せ、大草原の中美味しい空気を吸いながら馬上から見渡す景色にも感嘆しつつ「１時間半コース」を満喫！！できました。

We participated as a family of four, including my parents and my 5-year-old son. Fortunately, we had a private tour just for our family. Since my son wasn't feeling well the day after we arrived on the Big Island, we were able to change the usual course and enjoyed kayaking in the nearby bay area. They were very considerate, and my parents even tried snorkeling, which seemed to make them very happy. I would love to participate again if there’s another opportunity.
