We had a wonderful evening at this Luau. The fire dancer was particulary amazing. Great buffet. One small complaint: $20.00 for one couple picture at the Luau seemed, to us, overpriced. We noticed that a lot of guests did not purchase it, probably for the same reason as us.

We challenged ourselves to kayaking for the first time as a group of four, and it was great to set off in a tandem kayak. However, it felt like we had to paddle hard to avoid being pushed back by the waves, so I'm glad we weren't in single kayaks. One person did get seasick and had to take a break at the snorkeling point, and after that, they had to give up halfway! Everyone, don't forget to take motion sickness medication! Even though I took it beforehand, if you're not feeling well, please don't push yourself.

They called the pod of dolphins and positioned the boat ahead of them. When I entered the water following their instructions, there were so many dolphins! Sleeping dolphins, dolphins on the move, and I was very lucky to encounter dolphins every time I entered the water. The snorkeling afterward was also fantastic, with many fish to see, and they introduced us to sightseeing spots along the way, allowing us to see places we wouldn't have been able to visit on our own. It was amazing!

My wife, her aunt, and I participated in this activity together. My wife's aunt is 75 years old and it was her first time snorkeling. The large boat was sleek and white, but we were the only Japanese among the staff and other guests, which made us a bit anxious... Although we couldn't communicate well, the staff was kind. My wife's aunt was able to safely experience snorkeling and saw yellow and blue fish. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and a bit windy, causing the boat to sway, and both my wife and her aunt got seasick before lunch, so they couldn't enjoy the delicious hamburgers. We didn't encounter a pod of dolphins, but on the way back to the port, four dolphins appeared at the stern of the boat, which made my wife's aunt very happy.

Elvis and the crew are great fun, they really seem to enjoy there jobs. You would think taking boat loads of tourist out everyday they would get old, if it does they hide it well. They are a safe group and care for the island they are sharing with you. On the way back he turned the boat around to get us a better look at a beautiful Manta Ray. Well worth the time and money!!

The office staff is also great, they will call you to confirm, give you directions, answer questions. Really a great group, not a "sketchy tourist trap"!

The Japanese staff provided a fun and entertaining helicopter cruise tour. We went with the intention of seeing Kilauea Volcano, but we were told that Waipi'o Valley is the number one spot. When we flew through the valley, we saw a rainbow from the waterfall, and I found myself moved to tears.

Since it's a place you can only reach by helicopter, it's definitely not overpriced. The grandeur of nature makes your worries seem insignificant. I can definitely recommend this experience. You can also purchase a DVD with footage of our flight route, the inside of the helicopter, the commentary, and background music (it was around $45). I will definitely ride again next time.

キラウエア火山目当てでいきましたが、ワイピオ渓谷がNo1と伝えられ、いざ渓谷のはざまをヘリで飛び、滝からの虹も見れ、気づいたら感動で泣いてしまったくらいです。

The person in charge of my son was an American woman who couldn't speak any Japanese. I think if a child doesn't have at least some English skills, they might feel lost. However, the female instructor who took over during the final dolphin photo session was able to give instructions in Japanese. From what I gathered in casual conversations with the staff, she seemed to be the only one who could speak a little Japanese.

My son, who has sufficient English skills, was able to swim in the lagoon and learn about marine creatures, and he said he had a great time! I believe that if you can understand English, the program is packed with content and worth the price. I was also very satisfied as I took plenty of photos of my child.

Here’s a summary of the program:
We sat in a circle in a hut and introduced ourselves, sharing our names and favorite animals. We were given boards depicting 12 types of marine creatures, which were explained to us.
↓
Then we moved to the lagoon to see those creatures. About three or four people held onto a float while being pulled by the instructor to observe in the lagoon (wearing life jackets).
↓
We returned to the hut to observe and touch small marine creatures indoors.
↓
Next, we moved to the corner of the dolphin pool. We were given boards depicting the fish that inhabit the dolphin pool and observed them (we didn’t enter the pool yet).
↓
Finally, we entered the dolphin pool and met the dolphins. Each child got to touch the dolphins one at a time, and photos were taken each time. (While one child was touching the dolphin, the others were instructed not to touch it.)

After the program, photos can be purchased at the shop by the dolphin pool. I think it was about $50 for three photos, and you could buy them starting from one photo (three photos had the best price).

それらを見にラグーンへ移動。棒状のフロートに３，４人がつかまり、先生に引っ張られながらラグーンで観察（ライフジャケット装着）
↓
小屋に帰り、室内で小さな海洋生物を観察、触る。
↓
イルカプールの隅に移動。イルカプールに生息する魚が描かれたボードが配られ、それらを観察（まだプールには入らない）
↓
いよいよイルカプールに入りイルカとご対面。基本一人ずつ触り、その都度撮影。
（一人が触ってる時は他の子は触らないように指示されていたそうです）

プログラム終了後はイルカプールサイドの売店で写真が購入できます。

Enjoyable but a little pricey, but worth it for the vip version!

We payed for the VIP package, and we're really glad we did. Ringside seats made the show amazing, but it wouldn't have been worth it from the nosebleeds. The food was great, with a broad selection anx generous portions. Whilst table service was provided by a delightful and industrious server, the buffet/bar were so easy access that it probably wasn't nescessary. A great show worth a watch.

This tour was absolutely awesome. Chris and Nick, our guides, were very knowledgeable and fun. They clearly pride themselves on what they do, which makes them stand out from the average. The meals were good, especially the beautiful dinner. We had the steak which was fantastic, and the service was perfect and so friendly. We saw beautiful sights all day, ending at the volcano which gave us a good show. Would do again in a heartbeat. Thanks guys!

Short, I'll blame it on the hurricane

It was a very short trip and we only saw 1 cave and a very small one. The guide was great, however due to the approaching hurricane he said that it was not save going further. I'm not an expert on weather, but the waters/wind did not change for the entire time we were there. If I would've known what it was going to be, I would've prefer they had cancelled the trip and we would have either planned for another day or received our refund.

We didn't have the best start for our manta ray snorkeling - trouble checking in for our flight the day after stressed us a lot, so we were not really in the mood. But despite me getting pretty seasick, being in the water and experiencing these magnificent and majestic fish feeding was an amazing experince. I so much wanna do it again - but next time without being seasick :) Thanks to the crew and captain for being so nice to me

It was the first time for my husband and children to ride horses properly. After a brief explanation in English, each person was assigned a horse, and they quickly got on. From the moment they mounted, they held the reins themselves and started moving! At first, my sons were nervous, but after about 10 minutes, they seemed to be having a great time. They enjoyed the beautiful scenery while riding. Then, after about 30 to 40 minutes, when the instructor asked, "Do you want to try running?" they all nodded and started to run together! My eldest son enjoyed running several times afterward, while my younger son, who was scared, took his time walking, which was nice as everyone could progress at their own pace. After more than an hour and a half of riding, we finished, and it was interesting to see the contrasting feelings between the exhausted parents and the kids who wanted to ride even more. As a side note, it seemed beneficial for my sons, who are learning English, that everything was conducted in English.

Jim Cary was our tour guide and he did a great job. He was extremely knowledgable of the Hawaiian and Polanisian culture which made the day that much better. The vehicle was not as comfortable as I expected a Mercedes to be, definitely the only downfall of the whole trip. All in all, a high 9/10

As expected, Big Island‼︎
The views from the sky were breathtaking.

The opportunity arose on our first day in Hawaii Island when we found the helicopter pad, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, on the way from the airport to the hotel‼︎
Originally, we planned to go to Kilauea, but the moment I saw the helicopter... I couldn't suppress the desire to see everything from above(^^;;

On our last day on Hawaii Island, we had a morning flight at 7 AM to Honolulu, and fortunately, we were blessed with clear skies. We were able to fully enjoy places and views that we could never have accessed on our own, and we had a wonderful time.

The English guide was entertaining and explained things in a clear manner, sometimes seriously, and he engaged with us throughout the flight. At the scenic points, he maneuvered the helicopter 360° so that everyone could see the same view. Thanks to the pilot's kindness and cheerfulness, the atmosphere was relaxed throughout the journey♪
For my husband and me, who were visiting Hawaii Island for the first time, it was the perfect activity.
And this year, our late summer vacation will be... Maui!
I think we will be relying on VELTRA again.
I'm looking forward to it☆

空から眺める景色はどれも圧巻でした。

きっかけは、ハワイ島初日、空港からホテルに向かう途中に見つけたヘリポート、ブルーハワイアンヘリコプターズ‼︎
元々、キラウエアに行く予定でいましたが、ヘリを見た瞬間…上から眺めたい欲望が抑えられませんでした(^^;;

ハワイ島最終日、お昼にはホノルルへ向かう為、朝イチ7時のフライトでしたが、運良く晴天にも恵まれ、決して自分達だけでは行けない場所、見れない景色を十分に堪能でき、素敵な時間を過ごすことが出来ました。

英語ガイドでしたが、面白おかしく、時には真面目に分かりやすく説明して下さり、何かと声を掛けて頂き、絶景ポイントでは全員が同じ景色を見れるよう360°操縦してくれます。パイロットの優しさと陽気さで、移動中は終始和やかムード♪
初ハワイ島の私達夫婦にとっては、ピッタリのアクティビティでした。
そして、今年も遅い私達の夏休みは…マウイ島！
VELTRAさん、またお世話になると思います。
今から楽しみです☆

It was very convenient to walk from the hotel to the meeting place, so there was no time loss. However, the meeting place was vague and there were no specific instructions, so I was quite anxious until the guide arrived. Since it was a small group, there were only four of us from our family, along with the pilot, a female guide, and a female guide-in-training.

We boarded the boat and started looking for dolphins, but the dolphins today were not very friendly, and the groups were small. We jumped off the boat several times after spotting them, but we couldn't meet them easily. The pilot suggested several times, "Let's go towards the pier," but the female guide stubbornly refused, saying, "The visibility is poor over there..." Eventually, since we weren't finding any dolphins, we ended up going towards the pier. There were already many tour boats for foreigners there, and there were plenty of dolphins, with everyone chasing them around. The female guide said, "Please don't chase the dolphins for their sake." When we entered the water, the visibility was actually not much different, and there were many dolphins swimming right below us, occasionally coming towards us! I tried to take photos with the underwater camera I purchased for this day, but I was too flustered to get good shots. The dolphins here were also not very friendly, so it didn't feel like we could swim with them, but we did see many dolphins. I thought if we had come here earlier, we could have swum with the dolphins more leisurely, but I also understand that we don't want to stress the dolphins... It was a complicated feeling.

Not wanting to spend too much time, as we would run out of snorkeling time, we reluctantly got back on the boat and headed to Kealakekua Bay while sightseeing the lava cliffs. The visibility here was truly amazing; it was the clearest sea I had ever seen. I was so absorbed in swimming that time flew by. When called back to the boat, they had prepared fruits and warm tea for us. The grapes and pineapple were very delicious. They also gave us potato chips, and we ate while heading back.

Since I participated with my parents in their 60s and my elementary school son, the small group size (which ended up being a private tour) was very helpful. One disappointing thing was that I had requested prescription masks, but they were not prepared (the wetsuits I requested at the same time were properly provided). At the site, I was shown something like a reservation form (which was different from the form I filled out) and was told, "It's not written here." I thought I might have forgotten to input it, but when I checked after returning, it was properly entered. I believe there was a communication issue between the VELTRA system and the local company. My father, who has poor eyesight, had brought prescription goggles just in case, so it worked out, but he looked very disappointed, saying, "I couldn't see well." I don't think the local staff is at fault, so I hope they ensure proper communication.

ボートに乗り込み、はじめにイルカを探していきますが、今日のイルカたちはあまりフレンドリーではなく、群れも小さく、何度か見つけてボートから飛び降りますが、なかなか会えず。操縦士の方が、「ピアのほうに行こうよ」と何度か提案するのですが、ガイドの女性が「あっちは透明度が悪いから・・・」と頑なに拒否。でもなかなか見つからないので、結局「ピア」のほうへ。そこにはすでにたくさんの外国人向けのツアーボートがいて、イルカもたくさんいて、みんなで追い回しているような感じ。ガイドの女性が「イルカたちのために、追わないであげてください」と。我々も海に入ると、実際には海の透明度は大して変わらず、真下にたくさんのイルカの群れが泳いでいて、たまにこっちに向かってくる！この日のために購入した水中カメラで撮影を試みるも、焦ってうまく撮れず。ここのイルカたちもあまりフレンドリーではなかったので一緒に泳ぐ、という感じではなかったですが、たくさんのイルカには会えました。もっと早くここに来ていたら、もっとゆっくりイルカと泳げたのになあとも思うけど、イルカたちにストレスをかけたくないのもわかるし。。。複雑な気持ちでした。
あまりゆっくりしているとシュノーケルの時間がなくなってしまうので、後ろ髪引かれながら再度ボートに乗りこみ、溶岩の岸壁などを見学しながらケアラケクア湾へ。ここの透明度は本当にすばらしく、こんなにきれいな海は初めてでした。夢中で泳いでいるとあっという間に時間がたっていました。呼ばれてボートにあがると、フルーツと温かいお茶を用意していてくれました。ブドウとパイナップルがとっても美味しかった。ポテトチップスもくれて、食べながら帰りました。
60代の両親、小学生の息子を連れての参加でしたので、少人数制（結果的には貸し切り）でとても助かりました。
一つ残念だったのは、度つきマスクをリクエストしていたのに、用意されていなかったこと（同時にお願いしたウエットスーツはきちんと用意してありました）。現地では予約表のようなものを見せられて（申し込み時のフォームとはちがう形式のもの）「こちらに書いていない」と言われてしまい、私が入力しわすれたのかと思っていましたが、帰ってきて確認すると、きちんと入力されている。VELTRAのシステムから、現地の会社に伝達がうまくいっていないのだと思います。目の悪い父は念のために度つきゴーグルを持参していたのでなんとかなりましたが「あまり見えなかった」ととても残念そうにしていました。
現地の方は悪くないのではないかと思うので、きちんと伝達を徹底してほしいです。

Very cool experience. There were 12 Mantas swimming around us. The crew were safety conscious and handled a guy that freaked out in the water very professionally. No shame and wanted everyone to have a good time. Hot Chocolate provided with fresh fruit.

The sunset dinner cruise my wife and I took lived up to the hype. The food was excellent! The western coast of the Big Island was just beautiful at that time of day. We also got to see a pod of dolphins (I would say at least 20 jumping out of the water) along the way. Can't recommend this activity enough!!!
