Big Island
Fantastic crew, tasty food, comfortable cruise, playful dolphins, and a beautiful sunset!
Our experience could not have been any better! The water was calm, weather was perfect, even with the clouds, which made it more beautiful! The captain and crew, Jack, Ian, and Taiyo were so attentive, gracious, and kind towards us, as we scattered our mother's ashes. It was a day we will always treasure. We highly recommend it and look forward to another sail in the future (just for fun!). Mahalo and blessings from our Ohana to yours!
Dolphins and whales plus a beautiful sunset with excellent service and guidance by crew.
The Crew was Awesome and the Sunset was Priceless. We had breaching whales all evening. Fun was had by the whole family. We were surprised when they served a meal, but it was delicious.
We had the best experience with our two five-year olds! They were both got a little nervous about the snorkeling and the crew patiently offered different options until they agreed to the kick boards with lenses. A big hit!! We saw a variety of fish and enjoyed the beauty (and history) of Cooke Cove The slides were also entertaining as the kids watched different people (including mom and dad) zoom down!! If you are concerned about the all veg breakfast and lunch, don’t be. As meat eaters, we all agreed the food was outstanding. To top it off, the Captain’s historical knowledge and witty comments made the ride to and from the coral reefs a lot of fun. We highly recommend tour!
I get anxious snorkeling and this was a fantastic alternative. The guide was super knowledgeable and funny. My 5 year old son loved it too and we could chat about what we were seeing in real time, which I loved.
Great Capitan + crew! Beautiful views! Very clean and organized! Loved the history given by crew members! Would definitely recommend!!
Aloha Courtney,
Mahalo for sharing your beautiful pictures and for your wonderful recommendation. We hope to have the pleasure of seeing you in the near future!
Lovely crew, delicious Mai Tai, amazing wildlife viewing. I have never seen a humpback whale do a complete breach, and this was just supposed to be a sunset sight cruise! We laughed and truly enjoyed the time. Our plans changed from going to see the stars to this, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Wish I had understood I would be barefoot the whole time (I likely didn't read the memo). Would have changed which shoes I wore to board.
This was such an amazing tour. Forrest was very knowledgeable of the Hawaiian history and legends of the valley. He knew each local resident by name. It felt very special to get to see such a remote, sacred part of the Big Island.
The Hawaiian show with the sunset over the ocean was wonderful. Since it was outdoors, I was worried about the rain, but it was fine.
海をバックに夕陽が落ちてのハワイアンショーは素敵でした。
屋外なので雨も心配しましたが大丈夫でした。
Three generations trip and this was a last minute addition.
The staff was amazing, the boat was easy to board and comfortable, and we saw turtles!!
Completely enjoyable and would readily recommend!!

We really enjoyed the glass bottom boat cruise. We had a frustrating experience earlier with snorkeling and we were happy to have an opportunity to see the reefs and the fish from the comfort of a boat. We even got to see some sea turtles under the boat! We also thought that the price for the cruise was more reasonable than many of the attractions in Hawaii. After the cruise we went hiking on the beautiful Ala Kahakai Trail which extends north from A-Bay. The glass bottom boat cruise is a can't miss experience on the Big Island!

The crew was friendly, funny and attentive. Thought we were just getting snacks with our drinks, but also got a teriyaki chicken bowl, which was a pleasant surprise. It was a cloudy day, so no sunset. As such, it would have been nice if they had tried to get us closer to the whales we saw in the distance, to make up for the impending lack of a sunset.
Kids loved it! Highly recommend. Can't wait to come back :)
Magnificent performance from all involved dealing with the history of the hawaiin islands and the Polynesian empire. The buffet was way too much to take in!!
The entertainment was first rate and the food was surprisingly good. You don’t expect food served to hundreds of people at once to be hot and tasty but they have the logistics well organized and the buffet line moves fast.
The fire stick dancers were excellent, and the whole evening had a very authentic feel.
This was our first luau and it was exceptional! The staff was courteous, professional, welcoming, and overall delightful! The food was very well prepared and there was a wide variety of selections. The show was both entertaining as well as informative and all of the performers ( host, dancers, and musicians) were great!!
I would love to do this again some time!
This was a very beautiful night! The luau experience was everything we were looking for. It felt like a true traditional experience
We had a great time on this cruise. Sipping cocktails, watching the sun slip beneath the ocean, looking for the legendary green flash. A perfect evening.
Perfect family friendly glass bottom boat tour. At ~35 min, perfect length for our four-year old.
Staff very friendly, marine expert was great at pointing out the different species and interesting traits.
Tour also launches from a very nice, calm protected beach which would be worth visiting again, as the calm waters would allow even the youngest children the chance to walk and splash in the water with maybe a few small fish swimming by.
We had a wonderful experience with Tiana as our helicopter pilot. She was extremely skilled at flying and was a wealth of information regarding the areas we were flying over.
I enjoyed a traditional luau and music show in a lovely atmosphere. The fire dance was wonderful.
The seating was communal, which can feel a bit uncomfortable when it's crowded.
The buffet was decent in taste.
We had a great experience on board! The guides were educational and friendly! Our children (3y & 14m) had a lot of fun and enjoyed being able to see all the creatures! We saw turtles, an eel, and so many fish!
Tianna was our pilot and was a phenomenal one. She handled that very tiny helicopter without a problem. I have a tendency to be motion-sick and I had zero problems with her at the stick.
We were disappointed that there wasn't any lava flowing but we got great views of Kilauea's craters and the changes since we were last on the Big Island. She made sure everyone got a good view of what we were seeing and was quite knowledgeable about the area.
They give you advice about what to wear and I fully advise everyone to pay attention to it. Temp in the chopper was ~50°F with buffeting winds from the rotors. Because we listened, we were comfortable. The only complaint was the wind was strong enough to make my eyes water and it was hard to see at times. That said, it was a fun experience and I highly recommend it.
My family loved this tour. Great for kids. We loved not having to get in the water to see coral and fish.
We had hoped the weather would clear, but, unfortunately, despite our tour guide’s best efforts to find some clearing, we were beaten by the weather. Our guide, Hunter, was extremely knowledgeable and tried really hard to wait for some sign of being able to observe anything, but had to cancel with no luck. I can imagine it would have been spectacular to see and hear the wealth of information he would have been able to provide if we could have seen it.
Food was great especially the pork and salmon. Show was nice, small if you’ve been to some on the other islands. But overall a nice evening.
I was lucky to be in a small group for this tour so the guide was very flexible with the schedule and we had enough time to enjoy each place. Our guide was a very knowledgeable local man who knows a lot about Hawaiian history and how the different spots we visited have changed through time.
All the stops we made at the volcano's park were totally worth it but my favorite spot in this tour was the Akaka Falls, what a gorgeous place!!!
Mahalo for spending the day with us Laura! Glad you enjoyed your visit...and yes Akaka Falls is a magical place!
I was able to see stunning scenery such as the lava of Kilauea and waterfalls on coastal cliffs that you can't see from the drive. The bilingual pilot and guide had extensive knowledge, and I enjoyed the experience more than I expected.
ドライブでは見られないキラウェアの溶岩や海岸の絶壁にある滝等、圧巻の景色を見ることができました。バイリンガルのパイロット兼ガイドの知識も豊富で想定以上に楽しむことができました。
We loved going on this tour! It was great to learn about the local traditions of Waipio Valley and to view it on the only tour available at the time. The group mentioned it as one of the highlights of our Big Island trip!
