Big Island
Wonderful night out on the water. Dominic was very charming while sharing his knowledge and experiences. Dave was also helpful and engaging. Thank you for the experience. Love to come back for a repeat.

This experience is hard to express in words. I definitely want you to see the sunset and the starry sky with your own eyes. The staff were great at explaining things, kind, funny, skilled at taking photos, and very helpful when I needed assistance. Thank you for a wonderful and enjoyable memory.
Great staff... friendly and kind... everything was perfect specially the mantas❤️

The Manta Ray snorkel experience was AMAZING! one of our favorite things we did on the Big Island. The crew was so fun and helpful. The hot chocolate after we got out of the water was the perfect touch. Definitely book this tour!!!
Aloha!
We love to hear all the positive feedback about our Manta Ray Experience from our guests'! Mahalo for joining us and we hope to see you again soon.
Best,
Team Iruka Hawaii
If you are looking for a tour to give you a quick peak at some really fun spots with a ton of information this is the tour to take. Thia is phenomenal and gives you a ton of extra information like her favorite food spots, Beach spots, or any kind of recommendation you could be thinking of. She was so knowledgeable, engaging, and took extremely great care of our group. Couldn’t recommend it more!
Aloha Alyssa,
Thank you for your review, we greatly appreciate it! We are proud of our tours and the guides who take care of our guests on tour. Thank you for your recommendation!
I stayed at the Royal Kona Resort, which overlooks the show venue. As mentioned in the reviews, you can also see it from the poolside, but if you want to see the entire show, which lasts just under an hour, I think it's better to sit in the venue. If you expect good seating and service, the premium seats would be a better choice.
As I read in the reviews beforehand, I lined up 15 minutes before the reception started to get a good seat. Upon entry, we chose our drinks at the counter in order, and then we had to go pick them up ourselves. In the premium seats, they come to take your drink orders and bring them to you.
When the meals are ready, they guide each table. I didn't have high expectations for the food, so I took a small portion, but I was able to finish it all, so I think it wasn't that bad.
The show started earlier than I expected, before sunset, and it ended with the sun going down. The dancing included Polynesian dances, including fire dancing, which got the audience involved and excited. At the end, you can take a commemorative photo with the performers on stage in the background. You can also purchase photos taken of your group upon entry.
Great time! We were four - My two teenage kids, my wife, and I. We loved it! Great guides. Very Safe. Great Views and wonderful vegetation. My wife was a little nervous before we went, but absolutely loved it. There are 7 zip lines and each one gets a little more adventurous.
Would highly recommend.
We took our young children on the tour (11 & 4 yrs) and the staff looked after us the whole evening. The kids had a great time and nothing was too much effort. Thanks Angeline for swimming us to the hot spot - what an experience!
The staff were really kind. It’s a tour that is friendly to Japanese people as well. I learned a lot about constellations. I would like to use this service again.
スタッフさんが本当に親切でした。日本人にも優しいツアーです。星座についてすごく詳しくなりました。また利用したいです。
Friendly, attentive and courteous crew! Good selection of beverages and fresh fruits and snacks were good (kid friendly). I liked that I saw the crew wiping down all the rails and high touch surfaces after the last group/ before we boarded. Saw some dolphins and plenty of fish, and a couple of flying fish! The crew and captain were very informative about the reef and preserving the reef life. One member even informed a kayaker that he was too close to the reef and could damage it. Will book with them again our next round.
Aloha Reif family,
We are so happy to hear you had a wonderful day out on the water. We look forward to making more memories with your family in the near future!
The zip team was great! They are confident with what they are doing. Location and the falls were awesome! Great job you guys!
The whole experience was great from start to finish! The guides and driver were kind, hospitable, very funny and knowledgeable about the history of the area and most importantly, zip lining! The course lines get increasingly longer as you progress, so I felt very comfortable with zip lining by the time I was going for longer distances and higher heights. The views of the waterfalls were breathtaking and the absolute best way to see these beautiful sites. This was a 10/10 for me!
We had a great time kayaking in the ocean. The scenery was absolutely beautiful along the coast. The weather was warm and the ocean water was refreshing. The kids enjoyed the cliff jumping. The sea cave was cool and the waves were moving us inside which was wild but fun. In all this was a great event. Our guide was friendly, informative and kept us safe.
It was a beautiful day and the crew was friendly and funny. Gear was provided and they had snacks available before lunch. The guava juice was especially delicious.
The swim itself was fantastic. There were so many colorful fish and one of the crew showed us a starfish. We enjoyed the adventure so much that snorkeling is officially our new favorite hobby.
A wonderful experience with outstanding hosts. The privacy and attention to detail was unbelievable. The lunch lacked greens/salad that we thought would be included. Snorkeling was less than expected visually. Overall the adventure of a lifetime for a mature couple. A wonderful experience with outstanding hosts. Overall this tour was the highlight of my trip to the big island (night swimming with mantas came in a close 2nd). It was super interesting and well paced. Our guide, Derek, really made the trip: he was informative, jovial, and generally lovely without being too jokey or overly pedantic, which really hit the tour guide sweet spot! I was solo, but this trip could work for anyone, families, couples, whomever. There is very little walking (a mile or 2), I might’ve actually preferred a bit more, but it made the trip very accessible to people of all ages and abilities
The sights:
Seeing a bubbling pool of lava was naturally the highlight. Most tours come in the day time, when we would’ve seen essentially nothing but steam. Our guide brought a telescope, so even though the activity in the volcano was pretty low key we could see spluttering and bubbling! The coffee plantation (orchard?) was a nice buzzy start to a long day. The black sand beach was ok
A well thought out experience:
The van was large and comfortable. Bathrooms were placed often enough that I didn’t have to avoid hydrating despite my tiny bladder. Enough food and snacks to keep everyone happy. Flashlights and jackets were provided, which was crucial!
Bring:
Long pants/sweatshirt - microclimates mean that it can be super hot in Kona and misty and cool at the park.
Binoculars - though the telescope was awesome, it would have been even better to have my own so I would t have to share.
A real camera - my iPhone 13pro was fine, but with such beauty, it’d be nice to have something with a little more control!
Aloha Cortney,
Thank you so much for posting your review, we really appreciate it! Your timing was impeccable, being here when the volcano was erupting. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for visitors, we are thrilled you were able to witness it! Derek is awesome too, you're right, he's such an amiable guide. Again, thank you!
The most amazing thing I have ever seen! Don’t miss this!
Aloha Amy!
Mahalo for your kind words, we're glad your group enjoyed the experience of a lifetime! Please keep us in mind for your future booking needs, and we offer a 20% discount for repeating customers.

An amazing experience, once in a life time. A must!!
This was a great experience! Highly recommend doing!
We had a wonderful time hiking the Big Island's Kilauea Volcano! Our guide was very informative, patient, and willing to answer our many questions. Part way through our hike, we sat along the rim and ate a lovely lunch provided by our guide. We would recommend taking part of this hiking adventure to fully appreciate Kilauea!
Thank you for the wonderful day David and June!
Jennifer
We got to see a turtle and a pod of like 15 dolphins we learned were currently in a half conscious state and they can basically auto-swim!
Boat was a little crowded with the kids on board. Would prefer an option with adults only as they were a little much for our honeymoon.
Overall great time! The cooled lava caves were very cool and go up all inside the big island!
Emma and Riley were great guides. VERY funny and knowledgeable! Omg the waterfall is insane to zip over!!!
The crew was great and the experience was a must do while on the big island!!
We did the No Wiki Kona LUXURY SAIL, dolphin watching, snorkeling. This was the best Catamaran snorkeling sail we've ever been on! (and we've done quite a few)
The captain and crew were knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. They found us a fantastic snorkeling spot in a reef corner with LOTS of different fish and turtles and no other boats there at the same time. The breakfast and lunch was really great as well. I loved that they put cushioned chairs on the mesh canvas area up font so that you could sit so comfortably in the best spot on the boat! I would definitely do this again and highly recommend it
This is a MUST do if you're going to the Big Island Hawaii. It was really a great way to see a lot of the islands best highlights. Even my husband loved it, who really doesn't like doing "tours" with groups / crowds and doing one ALL day long at that (likes his relaxation time on vacation). Our guide was fantastic, he gave us so much good information about the island, it's history, places, and everything in between. He was super attentive and made things fun as well. We would highly recommend this tour and specifically this company for a wonderful trip on the Big Island.
Hands down the most amazing experience ever! The guides were knowledgeable, supportive and made you feel safe. The whole experience was just magical! Thanks so much!
Marcus was a very knowledgeable astronomer and answered any question our group asked.
This trip was so much more than I expected! We started with a quick tour of rainbow falls and boiling pots. our guide Marcus was exceptionally knowledgeable about the plant life and history of both places. We then explored the lava caves, which was an unforgettable experience. Finally, we got to watch a beautiful sunset, followed by stargazing. I can’t believe how much astronomy I learned in one night. The skies were spectacular and once again Marcus seemed to have an endless fund of knowledge, answering all our questions in detail. The trip was unforgettable and Marcus is clearly a great asset to his company!
-The Staff was incredible
-I loved the the boat, it was well equipped and safe
-People should bring a warn sweatshirt for the ride back
-The manta's were plentiful and exciting
-Best Ever excursion!!
-WORTH IT and MUST try it
Aloha!
We appreciate the kind words about our crew and staff, and are ecstatic that you enjoyed yourself out on the water with us! We do offer a repeater discount of 20% off, so please keep us in mind for future travel plans.
Mahalo,
Iruka Hawaii.
Our tour guide Dreu started our 12 hours together by telling us to set our expectations low. It was scheduled to be a rainy day but this is not what anyone wants to hear at the start of a long day you’ve paid hundreds per person to enjoy. The tour made all the promised stops. The coffee farm was interesting and everyone in our group enjoyed the hot box lunch. The bakery stop was too short considering how busy it was but everyone did have time to purchase something. The time in Volcano National Park was mostly whiteout due to rain. You could not see much during the first 2 hours there but the lava tube was great. I would warn others it is a steep incline on slippery steps to view it. Dreu is full of information but he did not share in an organized way. Hid commentary was scattered and jumped around making it hard to follow. Dinner was at Lava Rock Cafe and was average. They seemed short staff so very slow to get served. Dreu did great job anticipating our needs for bathroom breaks and provided motion sickness chews, rain gear, snacks, and drinks. He was not mindful of those with back or neck problems when he drove fast over speed bumps on the park yelling “hold on in the back!” I feel bad for anyone in our group with these problems as the van bounced and jarred us around each time he did this. The best part of the trip was last hour in park when we were able to do the twilight volcano viewing to see the red lava glow. Due to clouds we did not get to do stargazing and tour ended an hour early. Overall everyone in group was disappointed with this tour because of how dependent it is on the weather. If you get a day with rain or clouds, you will feel cheated out of most of what you signed up to see.
