I had experience with dolphin watching, but I joined the tour expecting to swim with them. I thought we would only see them from a distance in the water, but they actually swam right next to us. I was captivated watching a baby dolphin nudging its mother and two dolphins racing alongside each other. As I got distracted by the dolphins behind me, I noticed there were dolphins on the side as well! Before entering the water, our guides, Mr. Nawata and Ms. Michi, told us to constantly be aware of our surroundings, and I found that to be true (laughs).

I was amazed that we could see them up close. Mr. Nawata mentioned, "They might not come close because they have a baby with them," and Ms. Michi added, "They are swimming fast today." I was surprised to learn that wild dolphins sometimes swim closer and slower.

It wasn't just the dolphins that impressed me. On this day, we had a hard time finding dolphins and spent quite a bit of time searching, but the staff worked hard to ensure that participants could see as many dolphins as possible. Once we found them and entered the water, the captain pointed out where the dolphins were from the boat, while the two guides continuously signaled us from the water. After the tour, Ms. Michi kindly offered to send me the dolphin photos she took, so I shared my email address, and she promptly sent me some amazing, clear images. We had tried to take pictures ourselves, but we couldn't keep up with the dolphins' speed, so I was very grateful for her thoughtful gesture.

The conversations on the boat were enjoyable, and they shared various ways to enjoy the Big Island. I think the tour was even more enjoyable because all the staff were genuinely pleasant. There were first-time snorkelers and elementary school children on this trip, and the attention given to them was very detailed, making it a tour that beginners could join with confidence.

The boat was a small one with a capacity of eight participants, which actually turned out to be good for swimming with the dolphins. We would find the dolphins and then enter the water ahead of where they were swimming, waiting for them to pass by. After they went by, we would get back on the boat and repeat the process. If the boat were larger, it wouldn't be as maneuverable, and with more people, it would take longer for everyone to get back on the boat, reducing the number of times we could see the dolphins.

This time, my wife saw online that Mr. Nawata's tour had a good reputation, so we decided to join both the manta and dolphin tours.

イルカウォッチングの経験はあったが、一緒に泳げることを期待してツアーに参加。とはいえ、少し離れた海中から見るくらいだろうと思っていたが、本当にすぐ近くを群れが泳いでいく。子供のイルカが母イルカをつついている様子や２頭が競争するように並走していく様子などを夢中で見ていると後にイルカ、そちらに気を取られると横にもイルカ！　
海に入る前にガイドの縄田さんやミチさんに言われたとおり、絶えず上下左右を気にしていないといけない（笑）
こんな間近で見られるとは、と感激していると、「今は子供がいるから少し警戒して寄ってこないのかもしれない」と縄田さん。ミチさんも「今日は泳ぎが速い」と。野生のイルカなのにもっと近くをもっとゆっくり泳いでくれることもあるのだと驚いた。

感激したのはイルカばかりではない。この日はイルカがなかなか見つからずかなり船を走らせたが、スタッフみんなが何とか参加者により沢山のイルカを見せてくれようと群れを探し、見つかって海に入るとキャプテンは船の上から、ガイドのお二人は海中でこっちこっちと常にイルカのいる所を教えてくれた。またツアー後もミチさんが自身で撮られたイルカの写真を送って下さるというのでメールアドレスをお伝えしておいたら、早速にとてもクリアな素晴らしい画像を送ってくださった。自分達でも写してはいたがどうしてもイルカのスピードについていけず、上手く撮れていなかったので大変嬉しい心遣いだった。

船上でのおしゃべりも楽しく、ハワイ島での楽しみ方もいろいろ教えていただいた。スタッフ皆さんが本当に気持ちの良い方ばかりだったのでよりツアーを楽しめたのではないかと思う。
今回はシュノーケル初体験という方や小学生のお子さんもいたが、そのアテンドも大変きめ細かく、初心者でも安心して参加できるツアーだと思った。
船は小さいボートで参加者も８名が定員だが、それがかえってイルカと泳ぐには良いよいのだそう。実際イルカを見つけては彼らが泳いできそうな所に先回りして海に入って待つ、イルカが通り過ぎると船にあがり、また先回りして海に入る、の繰り返し。船が大きいと小回りがきかないし、人数が多いと全員が船にあがるのにも時間がかかってしまい、イルカを見る回数が減ってしまうとのことだった。

I participated in several wild dolphin tours on Oahu. This time, I heard rumors that the dolphin tour on the Big Island is amazing, so I made a reservation. We chased dolphins on a boat that moved freely across the sea, taking us to a spot where the dolphins came very close. I was thrilled to see mother and baby dolphins and playful dolphins up close, but I was told that there were fewer tour staff than usual, which was disappointing. I wondered if I could really swim with the pod if I participated at the usual time! I decided that I would definitely make a reservation for the next time I visit the Big Island. Among the participants, there were beautiful underwater photos of dolphins taken with a 100% waterproof digital camera, so I want to bring a waterproof digital camera next time. After participating in this tour, I personally felt that while the recreational dolphin tours on Oahu are fun, I might be done with them...

オアフ島では何回か野生のイルカツアーに参加しました。今回はハワイ島でのイルカツアーは凄いらしいと噂を聞いて予約しました。イルカを追い求めてボートを海上に縦横無尽に走らせ、凄く近くまでイルカ達が来てくれる場所まで連れて行ってくれました。親子イルカや遊んでいるイルカ達を近くで見ることができて、大感激だったのですが、ツアースタッフの方々はいつもより少なくて残念と言ってました。じゃあ、いつもの時に参加できたら本当に群れと泳げるのか！！！と。次回のハワイ島では必ず予約しようと決めました。参加している方の中で防水100％のデジカメで撮られた水中のイルカ達の写真がとてもきれいだったので、次回は防水デジカメ持参で参加したいです。このツアーに参加した後に、オアフ島のリクリエーション的なイルカルアーは楽しいけれども、もういいかな、、、と個人的には思いました。

I was already satisfied just to meet the dolphins, but I even got to see a manta ray. I was really lucky. During the summer vacation, about four families participated, and there were three Japanese staff members, which made me feel at ease. They were very attentive. I would like to participate again.

イルカに会えるだけで満足なのに、マンタにまで会えてしましました。本当にラッキーでした。夏休みの利用で４組ぐらいの家族が参加しましたが、スタッフも３人日本の方で安心で、至れりつくせりです。また参加したいと思います。

We went to the Big Island for our honeymoon and participated in ocean rafting on August 31. The staff only spoke English, but they kindly provided Japanese explanations for us. Upon arriving, we were supposed to call "Captain Zodiac," the company organizing the tour, for confirmation, but our English skills made it difficult to convey what we wanted to say, which was a bit challenging. However, the staff on the other end of the phone continued to explain how to get to the meeting point with great effort, and we could feel their determination to help us, which was very kind.

On the day of the tour, a male boat driver and a female captain (who acted a bit like a pirate) boarded the boat together. I was surprised by how to get on the boat. We sat on the inflated edges of the rubber boat, and as we hit the waves, it rocked violently while speeding along. If you weren't focused, it felt like you could be thrown off. It was incredibly thrilling, and I kept shouting "Waaaaaaah!!!! Gyaaaaaah!!!!" (laughs). There were eight of us participating together: a couple in their 40s to 50s, two grandmothers in their 60s, a Japanese parent and child, and us.

When we arrived at our destination, we enjoyed snorkeling in a coral reef filled with tropical fish. However, it was just after daylight saving time ended, and the temperature wasn't very high, so I got cold while in the water. Although we had time to swim again after lunch, I decided not to because I couldn't stop shivering. It was a shame since the coral reef was beautiful. It seemed that the spot we visited had cold water flowing from the mountains.

After enjoying snorkeling, we returned while looking at the famous sights along the coast from the sea. On the way back, we also sped along and made sharp turns with the boat, which was a lot of fun. I highly recommend this tour!

新婚旅行でハワイ島に行き、8月31日にオーシャンラフティングに参加しました。
スタッフは英語onlyでしたが、日本人用に日本語の説明書きを用意してくれていて親切でした。
現地に到着してから、このツアーを企画している「キャプテンゾディアック号」に確認の電話をすることになっていたのですが、私たちの英語力ではなかなか言いたいことが伝わらず、ちょっと苦労しました。ですが、電話のむこうのスタッフの方が、集合場所までの行き方などを一生懸命説明し続けてくれて、「なんとかつたえてあげなきゃ！」という気持ちが伝わってきて、親切な対応でした。
当日は、ボートの運転手（男性）と、案内をしてくれるキャプテン（海賊のイメージでちょっと悪っぽい感じに振舞う女性）が一緒にボートに乗り込みました。驚いたのが、ボートの乗り方です。ゴムボートの周りの膨らみの部分に腰をかけた状態で、波にぶつかり大きく縦揺れしながら、猛スピードで進んで行くのです。集中していなければ体が投げ出されてしまいそういでした。とってもスリリングで、ずっと「ワーーーーー！！！！！！！！ギャーーーーーーーーー！！」と叫んでいました（笑）一緒に参加していたのは、40~50代くらいのご夫婦、60代くらいのおばあちゃん２人組、日本人の親子、私たちの８人でした。行き着いた先では、トロピカルフィッシュが泳ぐ珊瑚礁でシュノーケリングを楽しみました。ただ、この頃はちょうどサマータイムが終わったころであり、気温があまり高くなかったため、海に入っている間に体が冷えてしまって、お昼を食べてからもう一度泳げる時間があったのですが、体の震えがとまらず泳ぐのを断念しました。せっかくきれいな珊瑚礁だったのに残念でした。特にそのスポットは山からの地下水が流れ出ており、少し水が冷たいところだったみたいです。
シュノーケリングを楽しんだあとは、海岸沿いにある名所を沖から眺めながら帰るという内容でした。帰りも猛スピードを出したり、ボートを極端に傾けてターンをしたりと、楽しませてくれました。
このツアーはおすすめです！！

I had been wanting to participate in a dolphin tour for a long time and did some research, but I decided to apply to Aloha Kona Tours for a couple of reasons: the small group size and the fact that they speak Japanese. Additionally, the numerous comments from past participants were decisive factors for me.

Participating in the tour was truly an amazing and moving experience. We were a couple not so young and complete beginners, but thanks to Mr. Nawata and staff member Tsuyako's thoughtful attention, we were able to enjoy snorkeling without any worries.

Of course, we got to see dolphins, and we even encountered a manta ray, which was incredibly moving. They made sure we could meet dolphins multiple times by getting the boat ahead of them, and we could even hear the dolphins' sounds and saw a mother and baby dolphin.

I am truly grateful to Mr. Nawata and Tsuyako, who were always smiling. It was a reassuring dolphin tour for beginners.

私たちは、そう若くない夫婦連れでしたし、全くの初心者でしたが　縄田さんとスタッフのツヤコさんに　細かい心配りを頂き　何の不安もなくシュノーケリングを楽しめました

We participated as a family. Since it was about wild dolphins, we were able to see a family of dolphins shortly after the boat started moving. At the front of the boat, we could also see many flying fish several times.

I wanted to see the dolphins a bit closer, but since snorkeling was the main activity this time, we traveled for about an hour.

For breakfast (light snacks), we could freely make our own bread and fruit, and the burgers for lunch were also delicious, along with fresh potato salad and vegetables. Maui chips were available as snacks, which was nice.

We could always have warm drinks, and there were many options for cold drinks. We could also have alcohol for an additional fee.

On the day of the trip, we were the only Japanese people, but the staff kindly supported us, which made us feel at ease. They lent us prescription masks, and the facilities were well-equipped with showers, noodle and glass-bottomed boards to see below. The snorkeling spot had high visibility, and the waves were at a safe height, allowing us to swim comfortably even in deeper areas.

On the way back, we were also able to see a turtle, and we were very satisfied.

家族で参加しました。
野生のイルカということで、船が走り出してすぐにイルカの家族を見ることができました。船の先端では、たくさんのトビウオも飛ぶ姿も何度も見ることできます。
イルカを、もう少し近くで見たいところでしたが、今回はシュノ―ケリングがメインなのでしばらく一時間ほど移動しました。

朝食(軽食)のパンやフルーツ、昼食のバーガーも自分たちで自由に作ることができ、ポテトサラダや野菜も新鮮でおいしくいただけました。マウイチップスもスナックとしてあり良かったです。

また温かい飲み物は常時飲むことができ、冷たい飲み物の種類も多かったです。追加料金でお酒も飲むことができました。


当日、日本人は自分達だけでしたが、スタッフにやさしくサポートしてもらえたので安心でした。マスクも度付きのを貸出してもらい。ヌードルやグラスで下が見えるビート版等、シャワー完備と充実しておりました。シュノーケルのスポットは、透明度が高く、深くても安心して泳げる波の高さでした。

帰りにカメも見ることができ、とても満足しています。

I was thrilled to see not only dolphins but also manta rays! It was a truly unforgettable experience that I could never have in Japan, so I was very satisfied.

There were only two crew members, the captain and a guide, along with eight guests, which made for a more intimate atmosphere. I think it's great for those who dislike a noisy environment.

However, since it was my first time snorkeling, I panicked a bit when I jumped into the sea and swallowed quite a bit of seawater (laughs).

イルカだけじゃなくてマンタも見ることが出来て感激しました！日本では到底体験できない時間だったので大満足です。

船にはキャプテンとガイドの2名、お客さんの8名という少人数体制だったので、ワイワイガヤガヤした感じが嫌いな人は良いと思います。

ただ、シュノーケルは始めてだったので、最初に海に飛び込んだ時はかなり海水を飲んであせりました（笑）

This time we went to the Big Island, and visiting Kilauea and Mauna Kea was a must. I looked into what else there was to do and found out that you can swim with dolphins, so I joined this tour, which had great reviews compared to others.

It turned out to be a fantastic choice! First of all, the guide was really nice and amazing! The quality of a tour is definitely important, but the guide makes a huge difference!

The tour itself was filled with dolphins, and I was truly moved. I was surprised to see so many dolphins up close!

Apparently, the types of dolphins on the Big Island are different from those on Oahu, and they swim in large groups, which is why you can see this incredible sight.

I highly recommend it if you visit the Big Island!!

今回はハワイ島ということで、キラウエアとマウナケアは必須、他にどんなものがあるのかと探してみてイルカと泳げるということがわかり、他のツアーと比較しても評判の良かったコチラに参加。
結果これが大正解！まずガイドさんが感じが良くて凄く良い！やっぱりツアーは内容はもちろん重要ですが、ガイドさんでほぼ決まりますね！

ツアー内容もそこら辺イルカだらけで感動しました。
こんなにたくさんのイルカが、こんなに近くで見られるとは驚きでした！

なんでもハワイ島はイルカの種類が他のオアフ島なんかとも違うため、大きな群れで泳ぐのでこの光景が見られるそう。

ハワイ島に行ったら是非おすすめです！！

I participated in the morning tour with my wife. The entire guide was in English, but we received a Japanese notice sheet during check-in at the reception, which I think is almost the same as the verbal instructions given when boarding. As someone who struggles with English, I understood less than half, but reading the notice in advance helped me grasp the general idea. Just watching the beautiful coral reefs and colorful fish made me feel happy. On the way there, we even saw dolphins playing in the waves created by the boat. The food and drinks were more than enough to fill us up. There were many children present, so I believe people of all ages can enjoy this experience. There are also floaties available.

It seemed that most of the participants were travelers from the mainland United States, but there were a few other Japanese participants as well. However, I got the impression that the staff didn't engage much with the Japanese participants. Of course, it wasn't neglect; it might be due to the language barrier, leading to the impression that Japanese people are "hard to engage with." The staff properly offered equipment rentals and food and drink guidance, so it was reassuring, and I think it's perfectly fine to ask questions in broken English if you're unsure about something.

午前中のツアーに妻と参加しました。
すべて英語での案内ですが、受付でのチェックインの際に日本語の注意事項の用紙を渡されますので、乗船の際の口頭での内容とほぼ同じかと思います。英語が苦手な私は理解できたのは半分以下ですが事前に注意事項を読んでおけばなんとなく理解できます。綺麗なサンゴ礁にカラフルな魚を眺めているだけで幸せな気分でした。行きには船が作る並で遊ぶイルカも登場。食事や飲み物も充分お腹いっぱいになります。お子様もたくさんいらっしゃいましたし、老若男女が楽しめると思います。浮き輪もあります。
米国本土からの旅行者がほとんどのようでしたが、日本人参加者は他に数組いらっしゃいました。しかし、スタッフがあまり日本人に絡んでこない印象も。もちろん、放置ということでなくて、おそらく言葉の問題から日本人は「絡みにくい」という経験からの印象なのかもしれないですね。用具の貸し出しや飲食の案内などちゃんと声をかけてくれますので安心ですし、分からないことは遠慮なくカタコトで声をかければいいと思います。

After searching online for family-friendly activities on the Big Island, I decided to go with Aloha Kona Tours, which had great reviews. My son (7 years old) and daughter (9 years old) joined me, and the staff was always attentive. The kids were able to see a pod of dolphins right in front of them while holding onto floating rings.

Although they took breaks due to seasickness, the staff continued to check on them, which made the kids very happy. It was also great that all the staff were Japanese, allowing us to snorkel without any stress. I never imagined I would see so many dolphins jumping and spinning right in front of me; it was incredibly soothing.

They were punctual and very efficient. A waterproof camera is a must. I highly recommend participating as a family. Our summer vacation diary was filled with dolphins.

I definitely want to be a repeat customer. Thank you for everything!

久々のハワイ島で何か家族で楽しめるのものはないかとネットで検索したところ、評価の高かったこちらのAloha Kona Toursさんにお世話になることにしました。
私と息子（7歳）娘（9歳）での参加でしたが、スタッフの方が常に気を配ってくれ、子供たちは棒状の浮き輪につかまりながらイルカの群れをすぐ目の前で見ることができました。
途中、船酔いで休んだりしてましたが、その間もずっと声をかけていただき子供たちもすごく喜んでいました。
スタッフ全員日本人ということもあり、何のストレスもなくシュノーケリングができたことも良かったと思います。
回転しながらジャンプするイルカを何頭も、目の前で見れるなんて想像もしなかったですしすごく癒されました。

時間に正確だし、手際も良かったです。
防水カメラは必需品です。
家族での参加はおすすめです。
夏休みの絵日記にはイルカがいっぱいでした。

またリピーターになりたいと思います。

I hoped to be a Japanese pilot, but I ended up participating in an English tour without any mention of that. The scenery was wonderful, and I was moved, but since I was seated next to the pilot (the computer assigns seats based on weight), I kept seeing the pilot yawn, which made me nervous. When I asked, "Are you sleepy?" he replied, "No!" so I took his word for it. The first hour was over Kilauea, and the second hour was over Waipi'o Valley. There was a stop at Hilo Airport for a break. Anyway, I'm glad we arrived safely.

日本語パイロットを希望したのですが、全くそれに触れられることもなく、英語のツアー参加になりました。
素晴らしい景色で、感動しましたが、パイロットの方の横の席になったせいで（体重でコンピューターが、席を決めます）、パイロットのあくびが何度も目に入り、緊張しました。
「Are you sleepy～」と聞いたら、「No!」と言われたので、それを信じて乗っていました。
前半１時間は、キラウエア、後半１時間は、ワイピオ渓谷です。途中、ヒロ空港に立ち寄り休憩があります。
とにかく、無事に着いてよかった。

You can purchase a DVD featuring the scenery from the helicopter you boarded, but the picture quality (color reproduction) was poor, and the recorded date was completely wrong, which was very frustrating. It's disappointing, especially since the actual scenery was beautiful.

搭乗したヘリコプターからの景色を写したＤＶＤを購入できるのですが、画質（発色）が悪く、記録年月日も全く違うという非常に困ったものでした。
実際の景色がきれいであっただけに残念です。

My first snorkeling experience in Hawaii was a bit disappointing because it was a little cold, but the hamburgers and other food were really delicious, and the ocean was beautiful.

As rumored, the power of seeing a manta up close was incredible.

One thing to note is to not forget your motion sickness medication. You might get seasick.

One point of concern is that for the first 30 minutes or so, you cruise around the bay before starting to prepare to see the mantas. It's unclear whether you're waiting in line because of many competing companies or for some other reason, but cruising around the bay at sunset was not interesting at all...

噂どおり、間近で見るマンタの迫力は凄い迫力でした。

注意点としては、酔い止めを忘れない事。
多分船酔いします。

気になった点として、最初の30分ぐらいは湾内を船で周回（クルーズ？）してからマンタを見る準備をはじめます。
競合他社が多い為に順番待ちをしているのか、何なのか不明ですが、陽が沈んだ湾内をクルーズしても何も面白くありませんでした…。

I heard that you can swim with dolphins, but I was not expecting to be able to swim so close to them, which was truly moving.

I think the small number of participants is also an appeal of this tour. If you're lucky, you might even swim with manta rays. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any manta rays, but we were completely satisfied with just the dolphins.

For those meeting on-site, the meeting location is a bit hard to find, so it's important to confirm it.

イルカと泳げると聞いてましたが、こんなに近くで泳げると思ってませんでしたので感動しました。

参加人数が少ないのも、こちらのツアーの魅力だと思います。運が良ければマンタとも泳げるそうです。私達は残念ながらマンタに会えませんでしたが、イルカだけで大満足でした。

現地集合する方は、集合場所が少し分かりづらいので要確認です。

There were other dolphin tours available, but the limited number of participants was a deciding factor for me. The staff were very accommodating, which made me feel secure participating in the tour. There was one child who joined with their mother, and I appreciated how well the staff interacted with the child.

I was able to see many dolphins up close (the staff were shouting from the boat, directing us to look this way and that. It's surprising how you might miss them even when you're right next to them), and it was a very enjoyable tour. I will definitely participate again when I visit the Big Island.

The staff seemed to almost forget to collect the fees from the participants on the day, so that might be why there were no snacks provided. However, we did receive juice. Well, that's not something I was primarily expecting, so it wasn't a problem at all, but I wanted to mention it for future reference.

他にもイルカのツアーはありましたが、定員の数が少ないというのも決め手でした。スタッフのみなさんの対応も大変よくて安心してツアーに参加できました。ひとり、お子さんがお母さんと参加していましたが、そのお子さんに対するスタッフさんの対応も気持ちがよくて私は好きでした。

たくさんのイルカを間近でみることができ（スタッフさんも海の中、船の上からこっち、あっち~と叫んでくださいます。そばにいても意外と気づかなかったりするものなんですね）とても楽しいツアーでした。ハワイ島に行ったらまたぜひ参加します。

当日参加の方の代金の回収すら忘れちゃいそうになってるスタッフさんだったのでその延長かもしれませんが、スナックはありませんでしたね。ジュースはいただきましたけれど。まあ、そこはメインで期待している部分ではないので全然問題ないですが一応記載事項でしたので今後のためにも書いておきます。

It was a lot of fun to enjoy multiple activities on one optional tour. We had plenty of time for banana boating, dolphin watching, exploring historical sites, and snorkeling among coral and many fish, which left us very satisfied. Although there were no whales in August, many dolphins came close to the boat, making it feel like we could touch them. There were quite a few baby dolphins as well. We were the only Japanese people there, but there was a staff member named GEN who understood a bit of Japanese, so explanations about the caves were fine. Before departure, they provided us with a Japanese guidebook at the office, which helped us understand even though we aren't very good at English. It was surprising that even those who couldn't swim were able to snorkel with the staff's guidance. On the way out, we relaxed in the back seats of the boat, but on the return trip, for some reason, we ended up in the very front, speeding over the waves, which caused a lot of jolting and a roller coaster-like up-and-down motion that was tough on the back. My arms were exhausted from gripping the rope tightly. Everyone was cheering and having a great time. I had muscle soreness for a couple of days, but I want to go again to see the beautiful sea.

一つのオプショナルツアーで複数のアクティビティを満喫できるとてもたのしいものでした。バナナボート的、イルカウォッチング、旧跡めぐり的、珊瑚や多くの魚がいる素潜りなどそれぞれがたっぷりと時間とってくれて大満足でした。8月で鯨はいませんでしたが触れそうな感じにボートにたくさんのイルカが寄ってきます。赤ん坊連れのイルカもかなりいました。日本人は私たち夫婦だけでしたが、日本語が少し分かるスタッフGENちゃんがいたので洞窟等の説明も大丈夫でした。出発前に日本語の解説書をオフィスでくれましたので英語の得意でない私たちでも理解できました。泳げない人でもスタッフの指導でシュノーケリングできるようになったのはびっくりでした。ボートも行きは後ろの席でのんびりと、帰りは何故か一番前になって波の上を高速で行くもんだからガンガンと衝撃がキツいのとジェットコースターみたいな大きな上下動で腰にきます。腕もロープを必死でにぎるのでヘロヘロになった。みんなで声を出して大はしゃぎでした。二・三日筋肉痛でしたがまた行きたい、綺麗な海を見に。

I was able to see dolphins jumping nearby many times.
I also enjoyed snorkeling.
The guide knows some basic Japanese words, so there is no danger, but the announcements are in fluent English at a normal speed.

すぐ近くでジャンプするイルカに何度も会えました。
シュノーケルも楽しみました。
ガイドが日本語の単語は知っている（最低限）ので危険はありませんが、アナウンスは普通のスピードの流ちょうな英語です。

On June 30th, I went on a snorkeling cruise to Kealakekua Bay on the Big Island (with breakfast and lunch included).
Five years ago, I went on an evening plan, so this was my second experience as I wanted to see the beautiful sea in the morning.
On the Fair Wind, I enjoyed a tour of the Big Island where Japanese was not spoken.
The weather was cloudy, but it was great because I could see well underwater without getting sunburned.
I particularly enjoyed the colorful tropical fish that gather in the shallow waters, and it was a great experience for families who are not strong swimmers, from a 4-year-old child to a 65-year-old lady.
Especially, the free rental of bodyboards to peek underwater was very popular.
The slide extending from the second floor feels high at first, but elementary school students can enjoy it without any problems.
I hesitated a bit at the diving board, but next time I want to dive in headfirst.
For meals, breakfast included bread and fruit, and for lunch, we had BBQ hamburgers cooked on the boat.
The hamburgers eaten in the beautiful sea were incredibly delicious.

6月30日に、ハワイ島　ケアラケクア湾へのシュノーケルクルーズ（朝食・昼食付き） に行ってきました。
5年前に行った時は、夕方のプランだったので、午前中の綺麗な海を見たく、2度目の体験です。
フェアウィンド号では、日本語が通じないというハワイ島のツアーを満喫出来ました。
天気は曇りでしたが、日焼けをしない中でも、水中は良く見えて良かったです。
特に浅瀬に集まる熱帯特有の色とりどりの魚を楽しむ事もでき、泳ぎが得意ではないファミリーや、4歳の子どもから、65歳のおばさんまで満喫出来ました。
特に、水中を覗けるボディーボードを無料でレンタル出来て好評でした。
2階席からのびている滑り台は、最初高さを感じますが、小学生ならば問題なく楽しめます。
飛び込み台は、少し躊躇してしまいますが、次回は頭から綺麗に飛び込みたいです。
食事は、朝食は、パンとフルーツ、昼食は、船の上で焼いたBBQは、ハンバーガーとして食べました。
綺麗な海で食べるハンバーガーは大変おいしかったです。

My husband and I loved it. Never flew in a helicopter before. Exciting! Safety conscious pilot-Roger was great! Music in headphones enhanced the experience. Views of volcano were wonderful. Roger gave all occupants plenty of photo taking opportunities. This was one of our favorite activities on our trip to Hawaii.

It was amazing! I was also grateful that the pilot happened to be Japanese. While flying in the sky, he provided a thorough guide. I ended up sharing the ride with a Canadian family, and we enjoyed the English guide while sharing our excitement together.
One issue I encountered was when I arrived at the hotel and needed to make a call, but the person on the other end only spoke English. Since I hardly understand English, I ended up asking for help from the Japanese desk at the hotel, which resolved the situation.
The price is high, but it is well worth the experience. I recommend this tour for both couples and families.

最高でした！たまたま操縦士の方が日本人だったことも，ありがたかったです。上空を飛んでいるときには丁寧なガイドをしてくださいました。カナダ人の家族と同乗することになりましたが，英語のガイドも楽しみつつ，みんなで感動を分かち合いました。
困った点としては，現地でホテルに着いたときに連絡をするのですが，その電話先の方が英語しかわからなかったことです。私も英語はほとんどわからないので，結局ホテルにある日本語デスクの方に協力をお願いして事なきを得ました。
値段は高いですが，この感動には十分見合った金額です。カップルでもファミリーでもおすすめのツアーです。

After an hour on a swaying boat, I arrived at the point while enjoying the interactions with the other participants and the beautiful blue sky and sea, despite being prone to seasickness. With the gentle and fun guidance of Koichiro and Michi, we had a great encounter with the dolphins, and there were moments when they swam alongside us. Experiencing the graceful and charming movements of the dolphins brought me immense happiness.

揺れるボートで1時間、酔いやすい自分も参加されていた方々からとのふれあいと空と海の青さと輝きで楽しみながらポイントに到着。　幸一郎さん・みちちゃんのやさしく楽しいリードで、しっかりイルカちゃんたちと遭遇、一緒においでくれるところもありました。　いるかの優雅でご愛嬌の泳ぎに気持ちがとっても幸せになること享けあいです

It was incredibly powerful. They come so close that they almost bump into you. They swoop right in front of you again and again! Four to five mantas came by repeatedly.

They come to eat the plankton gathered around the lights, and it was my first time consciously noticing the plankton itself, so it was very refreshing.

The meeting point is the office at the Kona Shopping Center. You check in there. There are no staff who speak Japanese. They didn't provide specific guidance on the wetsuits, but there was staff in the next room who lent them out. I participated in July, and I think it’s better to wear a wetsuit as the night sea can be a bit cold, especially for Japanese people who tend to feel cold more.

After borrowing the wetsuit, everyone moves to the harbor past the Sheraton. It’s easier if you have a rental car. If you ask the staff at the office, they can call a taxi for you. I considered taking a shuttle, but the timing didn’t work out.

Once we arrived at the harbor and boarded the boat, we enjoyed a cruise while watching the sunset, and when it got dark, we finally entered the sea to see the mantas. We held onto a pole and waited for the mantas to come to eat the plankton. After a while, one large manta, then two!! Four to five came by. We could see right into their mouths.

There are days when you might not see many, but we had mantas coming by repeatedly, and it was an impressive and wonderful experience. Everything was in English, but if you have courage, you can manage. It was just amazing.

体にぶつかるほど近くまで来ます。
べろ~んと目の前で何度も何度も旋回!
4~5枚のマンタが代わる代わる何度も来ました。

ライトに集まるプランクトンを食べに来るのですが、プランクトン自体も意識して見たのは初めてだったのでとても新鮮でした。

集合はコナショッピングセンターの事務所。
そこでチェックインします。
日本語を話せるスタッフはいません。
ウェットスーツの案内は特にしてくれませんでしたが隣の部屋にスタッフがいて、そこで貸してくれます。
7月に参加しましたが、夜の海は少し寒くウェットは着用するべきだと思います。
日本人は特に寒がりなので。

ウェットを借りたら、シェラトンの先にあるハーバーまで各自で移動します。
レンタカーがあると楽です。
事務所のスタッフに頼めばタクシーを呼んでくれます。
シャトルでの移動も考えましたが、時間が合いませんでした。

ハーバーに着き船に乗り込むと、夕陽を眺めながらのクルーズ、暗くなったらいよいよマンタを見に海へ入ります。
棒につかまりプランクトンを食べに来るマンタを待ちます。
しばらくすると、大きなマンタが1枚、2枚!!
4~5枚来ました。
口の中もバッチリ見ることが出来ました。

あまり観ることが出来ない日もあるようですが、私たちは何度もマンタがやってきて、迫力ある素晴らしい体験が出来ました。
すべて英語対応ですが、勇気があればなんとかなりそうです。
とにかくすごかったです。

This was my first time participating in Mr. Nawata's tour, but it was my second time on the dolphin tour in Hawaii Island. Since it was my second time, he tried to take us to a different northern point than last time, but unfortunately, we were informed that there were no dolphins in the north that day... so we moved back to the same southern area as before. However, I was really happy about his consideration.

During the first swim, dolphins were everywhere around me. No matter how many times I went in, there were dolphins all around. Dolphins to the right, dolphins to the left, dolphins in front, behind, and below. They even swam right in front of me on purpose, spinning around, and it felt like I jumped right into the pod! It was truly blissful to swim leisurely while looking into the dolphins' eyes. The ultimate healing experience. I also got to see manta rays swimming gracefully.

Such an exciting and fulfilling activity always feels fresh and brings new discoveries, no matter how many times you experience it. I am grateful for the great nature of Hawaii Island and for Mr. Nawata. Thank you very much.

縄田さんのツアーは初めて参加させていただきましたがハワイ島でのイルカツアーは2度目。
2回目ということで前回とは違う北のポイントに連れて行ってくれようとしてくれましたが、残念ながらその日北にはイルカがいないと連絡が…
以前と同じ南に移動。
しかし、その気持ちがとてもうれしかったです。

1回目のスイムから周り中イルカ。
何度入ってもイルカだらけ。
右にイルカ、左にイルカ、前も後ろも下もイルカ。
私の目の前をわざと横切ったり、くるくる回ってくれたり、群れの中に飛び込んじゃったみたい!
イルカの目を見ながらゆったりと泳げるなんて本当にしあわせ。
最高の癒しです。
ゆったり泳ぐマンタも見ることができました。

こんなにエキサイティングで心が満たされるアクティビティは何度体験しても新鮮で新しい発見があります。
ハワイ島の大自然と、縄田さんに感謝です。

I participated in early December 2011. Unfortunately, I had joined a tour to see the lava in 2009, but due to the wind direction of the gas, I couldn't see the ocean entry. I thought about getting a revenge tour, but I was informed that there wasn't much volcanic activity and the ocean entry couldn't be seen, so I decided to join the helicopter tour to see it from above. This time, there was a bit of light rain, and I could only see the moving lava with the naked eye to a limited extent. I was able to see trees being consumed by the lava and flames rising, as well as lava flowing down the cliffs like a thin waterfall. I plan to get revenge during a time of more active activity. However, it was enjoyable to see the town of Kalapana, which had been swallowed by lava in the past, with houses starting to be built again, and the beautifully planted macadamia nut farms. It seems that the seating is determined by weight at check-in, and luckily, I was seated next to the pilot. On the way back to the airport, everyone enjoyed chatting, but I regretted not studying English conversation more. There were participants from various countries.

２０１１．１２月初旬に参加しました。
あいにく２００９に溶岩を見に行くツアーに参加しましたが、溶岩のオーシャンエンターがガスの風向きで見れず、リベンジをと思いましたが、火山活動があまりなくオーシャンエンターは見れないとのことで、ヘリで上から見てみたいと参加しました。今回も小雨混じりで動いている溶岩は肉眼で少し確認できた程度でした。生えている木が溶岩に呑まれて炎が上がっている様子や、細い滝のようにがけを流れている溶岩が見れました。　また活発な活動の際にリベンジです。　しかし上空から昔溶岩に飲み込まれた町カラパナにまた家がぽつぽつ建ちだしている様子や、壮大にきれいに植えられているマカダミアナッツ農場を見れたりと楽しかったです。受付時の体重で席は決められるようで、ラッキーなことにパイロットの並び席でした。空港に戻る際にはみんなで会話を楽しむかんじでしたが、もっと英会話べんきょうしとくべきだったといつもの後悔でした。いろんな国の方が参加されていました。

We participated as a couple with a 6-year-old child (kindergarten age).

We were able to see them properly! I think there were about 10 of them. It's definitely different from an aquarium! It’s magical, but some people might feel a bit scared because it’s quite dark.

We held onto a raft with downward-facing lights while waiting for the manta rays. You can float on your stomach with your feet on the float, so it’s easy and you don’t have to kick or tread water.

It seemed like they were coming closer to the brightest spot. Other tour rafts and divers were brighter, so they didn’t come too close, but we enjoyed it enough.

Since our child can’t swim yet, we used a jacket that we brought with us that inflates with air. They generally don’t use jackets, so if you need one, you should ask for it.

Also, it’s quite cold. Even people who usually handle the cold well were feeling chilly. Wearing two wetsuits keeps you warm, so it might be a good idea to ask if you can rent two when you get there.

I think it would be great to have a waterproof camera that can record video. For still images, you really need a big camera.

夫婦+6歳児（年長）での参加でした。

ちゃんと見られました！
10匹弱いたと思います。やっぱ水族館とは違いますよ！
幻想的ですが、真っ暗でちょっと恐怖感を感じる人もいるかもしれませんね。

下向きのライトが付いたイカダに掴まってマンタを待ちます。
うつ伏せで足をフローターに乗せて浮かんでいられるのでキックや立ち泳ぎすることもなく楽ちんです。

一番明るい場所に寄ってきているようでした。別のツアーイカダやダイバーの方が明るかったのであまり近くには来てくれませんでしたが十分楽しめました。

子供はまだ泳げないので持参した空気を入れて使うジャケットを装着して入りました。基本的にジャケットは使用しないようなので必要な方は言わないと出てこないと思います。

それとかなり寒いです。
寒さに強い印象の白人さんもかなり寒がってました。
ウエット二枚重ねると暖かいのでレンタルの時に二枚借りられるか聞いてみるといいかもしれません。

防水の動画が撮れるコンデジがあるといいと思います。
静止画はどでかいカメラじゃないと無理ですね。

Swimming with dolphins has been a dream of mine for many years, perhaps influenced by the show "Flipper" I watched as a child.

I never expected to swim with so many dolphins...

As I entered the water at the call of Mr. Nawata, I found myself surrounded by a pod of dolphins.

The dolphins were swimming in a playful cluster, some were with their young, and when I was focused on the ocean floor, they would suddenly appear right in front of me.

I could even hear the sounds the dolphins made and clearly see their droppings!

Changing spots, I jumped back in at the command of "Okay, go down," and to my surprise, there was even a manta ray! I was so captivated by the manta ray that I completely forgot about the waterproof camera I had bought for this day.

I tried to dive like Leo, who was with us, but unfortunately had to give up due to the weight of the fat on my body.

When I returned to the boat and learned that Leo was a national record holder in freediving and had connections with Jack Mayol, I was astonished...

After enjoying another round of swimming with the dolphins, I felt completely satisfied.

I apologize for any unpleasantness caused by my seasickness during the trip... but it was such an amazing experience that I forgot all about it. I never imagined I would be able to swim with dolphins at such a close distance!!

Next time, I definitely plan to join a manta ray tour. Thank you, Mr. Nawata and Leo. I look forward to seeing you again!

子供の頃に見た「わんぱくフリッパー」の影響からか、
いるかと泳ぐことは、長年の夢でした。（歳がばればれ）

それが、まさか、こんなにもたくさんのいるか達と泳げるとは・・・

縄田さんの掛け声のもと海に入ると、
そこは　もう　いるかの群れの中。

いるか達がだんご状態になって泳いでいたり、
親子連れだったり、
海の底ばかり見ていると、目の前に現れたり。

いるかの発する音や　うんち（！）まではっきりと見えました。

ﾎﾟｲﾝﾄを変えて、
「はい、降りて。」の声のもと再び飛び込むと、
そこには、なんと、マンタまで！！
この日の為に購入した防水デジカメそっちのけで、
マンタに釘付け。

同行されたレオさんを真似て潜ってみようとチャレンジしましたが、身体に背負った脂肪のせいか、あえなく断念。

ボートに戻って伺ったら、なんとレオさん、フリーダイビングの全米記録保持者で、
あのｼﾞｬｯｸ・ﾏｲﾖｰﾙとも親交があったとは・・・

その後、もう一度いるか達との泳ぎを満喫し、
満腹気分で終了となりました。


途中、船酔いのためお見苦しいところをお見せして申し訳ありませんせした・・・
が、船酔いなんて忘れるくらい素晴らしい体験でした。
まさか、いるかが手に届く距離で一緒に泳げるとは思ってもみませんでした！！

次回は、ぜひマンタのツアーに参加しようと思っています。

On the second day in Hawaii, I had a reservation, but it was canceled due to bad weather in Hilo (tears). It was disappointing since Waikoloa had nice weather. Due to my schedule, the only available day was the checkout day, so I rescheduled it as that was my last chance. On the final day, while waiting nervously, I was told it was okay to go today.

For those with flexible schedules, I recommend making reservations as early as possible, and if the tour is canceled due to weather, it's good to have a backup date.

Now, the actual flight was amazing. Unfortunately, the volcano was in a state of calm, so I couldn't see the dynamic lava flows or ocean entry, but I could see lava from a hole in the ground! I also saw black streaks that made me think lava was flowing underground, which was both exciting and a bit scary. It was great to see the charm of Hawaii Island's green lava landscape from the sky. However, since it was an English tour, I didn't understand most of the explanations, but even without them, seeing the scenery in front of me was more than enough to enjoy.

I participated with my 4-year-old and 1-year-old, and the kids were satisfied too!

ハワイ島２日目に予約していましたが、
ヒロの天候が悪いとのことで、催行中止に（涙）
ワイコロアが良いお天気な分残念でした。
日程的にチェックアウトの日しか予定があいていなかったので、その日がラストチャンスということで振り替えをしました。
最終日、どきどきしながら待っていると、今日はＯＫと言ってくれました。
日程に余裕がある人は、できるだけ日程の前の方に予約をしれて、
もし天候で催行されなくても振り替え予備日を設けておくと良いとおもいます。

さて、実際のフライトは、すばらしかったです。
残念ながら火山は小康状態だったので溶岩の流出やオーシャンエントリーというダイナミックな状態はみれませんでしたが
大地にぽっかり開いた穴から溶岩がみえました！
おそらく地中を流れているなと思わせる黒い筋もみえて
嬉しさと怖さ？とでぞくぞくとしました。
その他島の緑溶岩の大地というハワイ島の魅力を空からみれたのもよかったです。
ただ、英語ツアーだったので、説明の大部分がわからなかったのですが
それでも、説明がなくても百聞は一見にしかず、で
やはり目の前に広がる景色で充分楽しめました。

４歳と１歳の子ども連れで参加したのですが
子ども達も満足していましたよ

Just returned from trip with my niece and nephew - 10 and 12 yrs. old -
we did this Sea Quest snorkel on our first morning, and couldn't have been happier -
Drew and Capt. Bill were professional, funny, and informative. Drew was excellent with the kids. Very safe conditions for all - definitely recommend for a snorkel excursion - more personalized than the big boat excursions.

I participated in the Ocean Rafting & Lava Cave Adventure at Kealakekua Bay snorkeling.

I was a bit anxious about the meeting place, but it was easy to find.

The check-in process was smooth. It seems there are no changing rooms, so it's better to wear your swimsuit beforehand.

The rubber boat accommodates about ten people, but it felt stable and was not scary at all.

The guide spoke only English, but was friendly and made an effort to explain things using gestures, which was appreciated since we are not very good at English.

Racing across the Hawaiian waters was quite exhilarating. I was lucky to sit at the front and enjoy the speed.

Along the way, we encountered a pod of whales. It seems you can't always see them, so it was a great experience. A baby whale came quite close, and it was adorable.

We also saw dolphins playing and sea turtles.

As for snorkeling, as others have mentioned, the clarity of the water is amazing. Tropical fish are swimming very close to you.

Other tour participants brought their own snorkeling gear. If you're a bit nervous, it's better to prepare your own. If you're unsure about swimming, I recommend borrowing a life vest to enjoy it even more.

With the guide watching nearby, you can enjoy the Hawaiian waters relatively safely, so I recommend this tour.

ハワイ島　オーシャンラフティング＆溶岩洞窟アドベンチャー　ケアラケクア湾シュノーケル
参加しました。

集合場所が不安でしたが、わかりやすい場所です。

受付もスムーズに行えました。
特に更衣室などは無いようなので、水着は着用しておくほうがいいようです。

１０人乗り程度のゴムボードですが、安定感はあり恐くはありません。

ガイドの方は英語オンリーですが、フレンドリーな対応で
英語が苦手な私たちにも　身振り手振りを交え、一生懸命
説明をしてくれて好感がもてました。

スピーディーにハワイの海原を疾走するのは　かなり気持ちいいです。
フロント側に座れたので、スピード感が楽しめラッキーでした。

途中には、クジラの群れに遭遇できました。
毎回、出会えるわけではないようなので、かなりお得な体験でした。
かなり近くまで子クジラが近づいてきて可愛かったです。

ほかにもイルカが遊んでる様子やウミガメも見れました。

シュノーケルは、ほかの方も書き込みしていますが、透明度の高い海は最高です。
手が届く近さにトロピカルフィッシュが群れています。

ほかのツアー参加者はシュノーケルグッズ持ち込んだりしていました。　
神経質な方は用意していったほうが良いです。
泳ぎが不安な方はベストも借りるとより楽しめますので遠慮せずに借りることを薦めます。

ガイドが近くで見ているので、比較的安全にハワイの海を楽しめますので　お勧めのツアーです。
