If you like snorkelling mixed with a little history, this trip is a must. We have snorkelled all over Hawaii and this is as good as it gets. The water is crystal clear, the coral is beautiful, and the fish, turtles, and spinner dolphins just complete a perfect day! Captain Ken tells you all about the monument and the events that led to Captain Cook's demise. As we arrived at Captain Cook, we found ourselves in the middle of a pod of well over 150 spinner dolphins who were playing in the area that day. They remained there the entire day! And on the ride home, we had a lot of fun mixed with several stops at caves or other points of interest where Ken would tell you the 'story' or explain the legend! This was just a great trip to a beautiful location. We will do it again the next time we am on the Big Island!

This was my second time in Hawaii, and I participated in snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay. Unfortunately, the weather was unusually cloudy for Hawaii that day. I was worried about whether I would be able to enjoy the beautiful sea, but I was able to enjoy it nonetheless.

By the way, I tend to get very seasick, and that was my only concern, but I managed to get through the trip without any seasickness.

I have participated in snorkeling several times in Japan and Hawaii, but this was the most beautiful and enjoyable experience. Since it was a memorable trip, I’m glad I was able to create good memories. I definitely want to participate again next time.

　今回2回目のハワイで、ケアラケクワ湾の主ノーケリングに参加しました。残念ながら当日はハワイでは非常にめずらしい曇り空でした。当日は曇りで、きれいな海が見られるのか心配でしたがきれいな海を楽しむ事ができました。
　ちなみに私は非常に乗り物酔いがはげしく唯一それが心配でしが、船酔いもなく無事に過ごすことができました。
　今まで何度か日本国内やハワイでのシュノーケリングに参加したことがありましたが今回が一番きれいで楽しめました。記念の旅行だったので良い思い出ができよかったです。
是非、次の機会にも参加したいと思います。

I've been to Hawaii several times, but this was my first visit to the Big Island.

Of course, the main purpose was Mauna Kea!!

The cold was even more than I had imagined, but the satisfaction and emotional impact exceeded my expectations.

Such scenery is something you definitely can't see in Japan. I've traveled to various places abroad, but this has truly become one of the places I’m glad I visited.

Although it was a long day, listening to the guide's stories made me feel neither tired nor bored at all. The guides, who feel a deep reverence for Mauna Kea, provided guidance that was nothing short of divine.

It was a shock that felt like a double punch!!

Thank you, I want to go again.

Hello,

I returned to Japan with many wonderful memories after watching the setting sun and the star-filled sky at Mauna Kea.

Tomorrow, I'm heading to Los Angeles. I went to Hawaii to refresh my mind. Experiencing the slow-paced Hawaiian time and the warmth of the people helped me relieve my stress, and I had very fulfilling days.

I spent a month on the Big Island, but I really wanted to go to Mauna Kea. I applied to several companies, but was turned down because of my wheelchair. By chance, I called a nature school thinking it was a long shot, and I remember being surprised at how easily they accepted me.

The majestic nature of Mauna Kea was a precious experience and a memory I will never forget. It was an emotional day, touched by the kindness of the Japanese people I was with and Mr. Yamamoto.

Having someone kindly carry me and seeing numerous stars through the telescope for the first time became a lifelong memory for me.

After a year of training in graduate school, I am seriously considering going to Kona.

Thank you so much for everything. I will definitely contact you the next time I go, so please take care of me then.

マウナケアでの沈み行く太陽と空いっぱいの星を見る事が出来て、よい思い出いっぱいで日本にかえってきました。

明日、ロスに向かいます。
ハワイには心の洗濯の為に行きました。ゆっくりとながれるハワイアンタイムと人々の暖かさに触れて、ストレスを取り去り、とても充実した日々でした。

１ヶ月ハワイ島にいたのですが、どうしてもマウナケアに行きたくて、数社に申し込んだのですが、車椅子ということで断られ、偶然、手に入れたネイチャースクールにダメでもともとと思い電話しました。余りにも簡単に受け入れてくださって、呆気に取られていたのを覚えています。

重い自分を快く担いでくださり、望遠鏡からの数々の星を初めてみた事は自分にとって一生の思い出になりました。

あと1年、大学院での研修後は本気でコナに行く事を考えています。

I didn't expect it to be that cold, but we borrowed some great warm clothing and thoroughly enjoyed the mystical sunset and starry sky.

My daughter wants to go back to see her zodiac sign, Pisces. On the flight from Honolulu to Japan, she was shouting, "I don't want to go back!" (crying).

I have returned to the humid Japan.
Every day is spent commuting to work on a crowded train, filled with sweat and tears.

The sunset viewed from Mauna Kea, the shadows on the horizon, and the night sky of that day will never be forgotten. It wasn't the lights of buildings or the glow of a late-night vending machine... it was such a wonderful night sky that I could see artificial satellites with the naked eye, illuminated by the moonlight.

We thoroughly enjoyed this activity. The ride down and up from the Valley was challenging but we had an experienced driver who navigated the road expertly. Both of our guides grew up in Waipio Valley so they were well prepared to introduce us to its history and special characteristics. With a few simple instructions we were able to ride the horses along the valley trails and felt like we actually learned a bit about riding horses. The valley was beautiful and the ride was quite enjoyable. We throughly recommend this adventure.

The crew was friendly and very accomodating, the snorkeling location was absolutely beautiful and was filled with sea life and the experience overall was wonderful. Definitely recommend this activity. Will definitely repeat this activity when we visit the Big Island again.

The content of the luau show was all in English, and there were parts I understood and parts I didn't, but the atmosphere was fantastic and I had a great time.

The ratio of Japanese people was low. We sat at a long table, and the food was served buffet-style. The staff seemed to be considerate and seated us next to a Japanese couple. They mentioned that they had been to Hawaii many times, and thanks to them, we received helpful tips about convenient places near our accommodation.

Before entering the venue, they took our pictures, and during the meal, they asked, "How about purchasing?"

Regarding the photos, I had been searching for them for a while and felt that the reviews weren't very good, but when I saw the actual photos, they were beautifully taken, so I decided to purchase one as a keepsake.

The other guests, upon realizing we were on our honeymoon, were very friendly, and we were able to chat a little in English, which was enjoyable.

The dancing was powerful and interesting, and the food was delicious!

I think if you have language skills, you could enjoy it even more!

ルアウショーの内容は全て英語で、所々分かったり分からなかったりでしたが、雰囲気も抜群で楽しかったです。

日本人の比率は少ないです。長いテーブルに座って料理はバイキング形式でした。
スタッフの方が気を使ってくださったのか、日本人のご夫婦とお隣にしてくれました。ハワイは何度も来ているそうで、おかげさまで、宿泊先近辺の便利な所を教えてくださったりで、とても助かりました。

会場の方が、入場する前に写真を取ってくれて食事中に「購入はどうですか？」という感じで聞かれます。

この写真については、以前から検索していて前評判が良くなかったと感じたのですが、実物の写真を見たらきれいに撮れていたので、せっかくだから・・・　と記念に購入しました。

私達がハネムーンだと分かった周囲のお客さん達も、とてもフレンドリーで少しだけ英語でお話したりできて楽しかったです。

ダンスも迫力があって面白かったし、料理もおいしかったです！

語学力があれば、もっと楽しめると思います！

We participated as two women.
We were the only Japanese participants, and although we couldn't speak Japanese, the staff's thoughtfulness and cheerfulness made us feel completely at ease and allowed us to enjoy ourselves.

The cruise to the snorkeling point offered a view of the Big Island from the sea, allowing us to see a different side of Hawaii. We were lucky enough to encounter a pod of dolphins!

The snorkeling experience was incredibly satisfying with the beautiful Hawaiian sea and fish! Even those who are not confident swimmers can borrow floatation devices, so there’s no need to worry.

For lunch, the staff treated us to homemade hamburgers. There were also desserts like brownies! Everything was very delicious. They took us to two snorkeling points, and we were very satisfied both in our stomachs and hearts!

The staff was a bit cranky at check in but once things got rolling, I think they woke up and all was good. I enjoyed the snorkle site but the sea cave exploration is little more than "here is the cave, it's not really deep, next please"......overall I had a good time but felt I paid too much for what I got. If you have never been kayaking in Hawaii and want to, then I would have no problem recommending this outfit. I just think you may get more value from a less green more motorized adventure.

The parking lot designated from the Hilton Hotel where we stayed was quite a distance away, but the traffic flowed smoothly, and we arrived without getting lost and with plenty of time to spare. After checking in at the counter, we enjoyed some delicious coffee that was prepared while we waited for departure.

Once we set sail, we moved along the blue sea (at quite a speed!) next to the lava fields. There were just over ten participants, and only two groups were Japanese, including us. When we arrived at the spot, the guide explained the swimming area, and everyone entered the water at their leisure.

My English is at a middle school level, but the guide explained things with gestures, so there were no problems. It was my first time snorkeling, and although I was a bit scared in the very clear water, I quickly became captivated by the colorful, beautiful fish, and time flew by.

After swimming at two spots, we enjoyed BBQ hamburgers grilled on the boat, which left us both satisfied in our stomachs and hearts. We also visited several sightseeing spots and took lots of photos. The restroom on the boat was spacious and clean, making it easy to change into our swimsuits, which I personally appreciated. This is a great tour where you can see various aspects of the Big Island in just a few hours. I would love to participate again when I go back to Hawaii!

　私達が宿泊していたヒルトンホテルから指定の駐車場まではかなり距離がありましたが、車は順調に流れ、迷わず余裕持って着くことができました。
カウンターで受付を済ませ、出航まで準備されていたおいしいコーヒーを飲んで待っていました。
出航すると溶岩大地と並走するように碧い海を（結構なスピードで!）進んで行きました。参加者は１０人ちょっとくらいで、日本人は私達入れて２組だけでした。スポットに着くと添乗員が泳ぐ範囲などの説明をして、各々好きな時に海に入って行きました。
私の英語は中学生レベルですが、添乗員の方がジェスチャーを交えて説明してくれたので問題ありませんでした。
初めてのシュノーケルで、しかもかなり透明感が高い海で怖さも少しありましたが、すぐに色とりどりの綺麗な魚に見入ってあっという間に時間は過ぎていきました。
２ヶ所のスポットで泳いだ後に船上で焼いたBBQのハンバーガーを頂き、お腹も心も大満足でした。
観光スポットにもいくつか回り、写真もたくさん撮れました。船上のトイレは広くて清潔感があり、水着の着替えをしやすかったのが個人的には嬉しかったです。数時間でいろいろなハワイ島の姿が見られるお得なツアーです。またハワイに行ったら参加したいです！！

Having grown up in Hawaii, I have grown very fond of Mauna Kea and it is definitely my favorite place to be. This trip, though pricey, is well worth the expense. When will you ever see both the North Star and Southern Cross in one place? And when will you ever feel like you can just reach out and touch the stars. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions and concerns. This is by far the best tour I have ever taken on the Hawaiian islands. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique adventure or anyone interested in the stars!
