The water is crystal clear, the coral is beautiful, and the fish, turtles, and spinner dolphins just complete a perfect day! Captain Ken tells you all about the monument and the events that led to Captain Cook's demise. As we arrived at Captain Cook, we found ourselves in the middle of a pod of well over 150 spinner dolphins who were playing in the area that day. They remained there the entire day! And on the ride home, we had a lot of fun mixed with several stops at caves or other points of interest where Ken would tell you the 'story' or explain the legend! This was just a great trip to a beautiful location. We will do it again the next time we am on the Big Island!
This was my second time in Hawaii, and I participated in snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay. Unfortunately, the weather was unusually cloudy for Hawaii that day. I was worried about whether I would be able to enjoy the beautiful sea, but I was able to enjoy it nonetheless.
By the way, I tend to get very seasick, and that was my only concern, but I managed to get through the trip without any seasickness.
I have participated in snorkeling several times in Japan and Hawaii, but this was the most beautiful and enjoyable experience. Since it was a memorable trip, I’m glad I was able to create good memories. I definitely want to participate again next time.
今回2回目のハワイで、ケアラケクワ湾の主ノーケリングに参加しました。残念ながら当日はハワイでは非常にめずらしい曇り空でした。当日は曇りで、きれいな海が見られるのか心配でしたがきれいな海を楽しむ事ができました。
ちなみに私は非常に乗り物酔いがはげしく唯一それが心配でしが、船酔いもなく無事に過ごすことができました。
今まで何度か日本国内やハワイでのシュノーケリングに参加したことがありましたが今回が一番きれいで楽しめました。記念の旅行だったので良い思い出ができよかったです。

We absolutely enjoyed the Fair Wind Catamaran Cruise activity. The crew was friendly and very accomodating, the snorkeling location was absolutely beautiful and was filled with sea life and the experience overall was wonderful. The staff was great. Good outdoor activity; even mm mother thought it was the best thing we did. Snacks should have been healthier, especially considering the price; more things like the pineapple, lose the chips.

The ratio of Japanese people was low. We sat at a long table, and the food was served buffet-style. The staff seemed to be considerate and seated us next to a Japanese couple. この写真については、以前から検索していて前評判が良くなかったと感じたのですが、実物の写真を見たらきれいに撮れていたので、せっかくだから・・・ と記念に購入しました。

The staff was a bit cranky at check in but once things got rolling, I think they woke up and all was good. I enjoyed the snorkle site but the sea cave exploration is little more than "here is the cave, it's not really deep, next please"......overall I had a good time but felt I paid too much for what I got. The parking lot designated from the Hilton Hotel where we stayed was quite a distance away, but the traffic flowed smoothly, and we arrived without getting lost and with plenty of time to spare. After checking in at the counter, we enjoyed some delicious coffee that was prepared while we waited for departure.
Once we set sail, we moved along the blue sea (at quite a speed!) next to the lava fields. There were just over ten participants, and only two groups were Japanese, including us. When we arrived at the spot, the guide explained the swimming area, and everyone entered the water at their leisure.
My English is at a middle school level, but the guide explained things with gestures, so there were no problems. It was my first time snorkeling, and although I was a bit scared in the very clear water, I quickly became captivated by the colorful, beautiful fish, and time flew by.
After swimming at two spots, we enjoyed BBQ hamburgers grilled on the boat, which left us both satisfied in our stomachs and hearts. We also visited several sightseeing spots and took lots of photos. The restroom on the boat was spacious and clean, making it easy to change into our swimsuits, which I personally appreciated. This is a great tour where you can see various aspects of the Big Island in just a few hours. I would love to participate again when I go back to Hawaii!

出航すると溶岩大地と並走するように碧い海を（結構なスピードで!）進んで行きました。参加者は１０人ちょっとくらいで、日本人は私達入れて２組だけでした。スポットに着くと添乗員が泳ぐ範囲などの説明をして、各々好きな時に海に入って行きました。
私の英語は中学生レベルですが、添乗員の方がジェスチャーを交えて説明してくれたので問題ありませんでした。
初めてのシュノーケルで、しかもかなり透明感が高い海で怖さも少しありましたが、すぐに色とりどりの綺麗な魚に見入ってあっという間に時間は過ぎていきました。
２ヶ所のスポットで泳いだ後に船上で焼いたBBQのハンバーガーを頂き、お腹も心も大満足でした。
観光スポットにもいくつか回り、写真もたくさん撮れました。船上のトイレは広くて清潔感があり、水着の着替えをしやすかったのが個人的には嬉しかったです。数時間でいろいろなハワイ島の姿が見られるお得なツアーです。またハワイに行ったら参加したいです！！

案内された目的地では、シュノーケリングに適した湾に２箇所ほどで思う存分サンゴ礁の上を泳ぐことができました。透明度も高く３０ｍほどはあったと思います。バタフライフィッシュをはじめ熱帯地区特有の様々な魚を観る事ができました。事前情報から海亀と出会えることを期待してましたが、残念ながら夢かなわず…。しかしながら、１ｍほどの大きなタコと遭遇することができました。
ランチには焼きたてのビッグハンバーガーとフルーツをおいしくいただき、日光浴をデッキの上で楽しみました。穏やかな波でしたし、船酔いの心配も特にないと思います。また、オプションでダイビングも１本楽しめるツアーですが、シュノーケリングとスキンダイブだけでも存分に楽しめるツアーです。
クルージングの帰路では、キャプテンクックの記念碑やコナ地区のコーヒーベルト地帯とその近くのプウホヌア・オ・ホナウナウ国立歴史公園の案内があり、海からのちょっとしたハワイ島観光も楽しめました。そのときの英語はナチュラルスピードで、なんとなくでしか内容の説明はわかりませんでしたが…。あらかじめ予習しておくといいかも知れません。
そしてなんといっても印象的でしたのが、野生のイルカと出会うことができ、ドルフィンジャンプも見ることが出来たことです。綺麗な嬉しく楽しい思い出となりました。

This was an amazing experience to witness. You are probably five minutes off the shore by the sheraton resort and are left to swim with huge manta rays that swim right up next to you. It is a little scary at first but after the first few minutes you get used to it. The staff on the boat are very friendly and pretty humorous. You definitly get your moneys worth on this activity because you are in the water for about 45 minutes and they dont let you get in until a manta ray shows up so your time with the manta rays isnt wasted. The only bad things I have to say about this activity which was kind of a personal problem was that I got stung in the butt my something. It hurt pretty bad but the stinging went away in about a hour. I dont think anyone else had this problem though so I wouldnt be too worried about it. I would definitly sign up for this activity is I was you!
I was at first a little hesitant to do this activity because I thought that I wasnt going to enjoy it very much but it ended up being me and my boyfriend's faviorite activity that we did! This activity is definitly worth the money that you pay. Not only do you kayak in beautiful clear water, but you get to jump off a 30 ft rock, go into a cave, and snorkel. What more can you ask for??? Everything about this activity was fun and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hawaii. Now that I know how much fun kayaking is I plan on doing it in the future. This is a must do!!
The trip to Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, etc was GREAT!!! Our driver talked constantly. We left from the Big Island, Please let people know that the parking lot does not open until 5 AM and ask people to be there before then. It was not open when we got there and had to park in the overflow which was quite a distance from the airport to walk.
We had a wonderful time. Not very please about the buffet. But we had the perfect view.... the shows are very entertaining. Mahalo!!!!!
My friend Nancy and I purchased this tour on the Fair Wind as a Father's Day gift for our husbands, Jay & Jim. Jay & I had taken a similar tour in Kauai last summer. We were expecting a similar activity this time, but were pleasantly surprised to find that it was so much more. The catamaran was so much nicer, the snorkeling was wonderful, the crew was so attentive to our every need and the food was great also. We all had a wonderful time and will definitely do the same thing the next time we are on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was also great that the departure place was only a five minute walk from the resort where we were staying. The crew was very helpful in instructing us as to where to snorkel and find the most fish. My husband got some great pictures with his underwater camera. The boat was not over crowded.
