Spirit of Aloha Kohala Coast Snorkel Tour with Lunch & Drinks - Hawaii Nautical
It was OK -- crowded

I've been on many catamaran snorkel trips on different Hawaiian islands over the years, this one was just OK compared to the others. The things that brought the experience down a bit for my family were the number of people on the boat, it was very crowded, the way food was handled (you're paying handsomely for some chips and a pretty bland sandwich -- they ask you what you want when you sign up for the boat but on the boat it's a free-for-all, so you might end up with something you didn't want or pay for), and lastly (and again) the number of people on the boat. The first 15 minutes of snorkeling was just spent trying to get away from everyone else so you didn't get kicked in the face or torpedoed by some mid-westerner trying to play aquaman by diving under the water and surfacing right into your abdomen. So yeah, it was OK -- wouldn't do it again for the price though.

Fun experience with great guides!

We saw fish, turtle, sea urchins, sea cucumbers and had a great time! Guide and captain were very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for a quick and short excursion!!! We stayed at Hilton Waikoloa and we were 5 min drive.

It was nice overall. The staff are friendly and worked hard. Food taste was okay. Generous portion. The boat is small and with waves, my 5 years old got sea sick and was throwing up.

It's unfortunate that your five year old experienced motion sickness. Our vessel is a sixty-five foot long double decker catamaran. The good news is that most guests do not experience motion sickness. For guests who know they have a propensity to experience motion sickness we recommend an over the counter remedy such as Dramamine at least an hour before boarding. The site for the luau was gorgeous. The food was excellent. We couldn't see the show at all because we were in the back and had kids , although none of us could see it. We left early. We haven't gotten our pictures because we didn't get a chance to do it quick enough. The old method of bringing to the guests was better.

Best place for snorkeling in Hawaii island

The Kealakekua Snorkel Tour is very well-organized. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the bay, which is incredibly beautiful. The staff on the boat are very friendly and provide support and assistance when needed. The coral and tropical fish in the bay are stunning, and it's very easy to observe the underwater scenery.

It was nice. The staff enjoyed educating on your surroundings The staff were very friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a fun time.... I wouldn't call it fun... nice and relaxing is what it was. We realized on this trip that this was geared more for kids and elderly.

Fire performance was as the cool kids say these days....fire!
The buffet food was better than average. I go to Hawaii every year and we always do luau. This was the more memorable ones. Dessert buffet table was really good too.

This celebration and event was perfect and one we will never forget. The staff, atmosphere, entertainment and food were all spectacular! We loved it and recommend everyone goes for an unforgettable, lovely evening!

Kilauea Volcano Doors-Off Helicopter Tour from Hilo [Not Operating]

I ask others to go with me, and get...
'is it a big helicopter? must be stable'
'need a seat in the middle up front or I'll barf'
'doors off, are you nutz?'
Don't let them ruin it for you. Small copter with doors off is the full woohooo. The ride is smooth and stable enough. The view out the open door is wondrous. Accept nothing less. Watch a video in the comfort of your couch or get the whole experience.
