I had missed the chance to see manta rays in Palau and Ishigaki Island, so I joined the tour with the hope that this time I wouldn't miss out. My family was actually quite skeptical, thinking it might be impossible. However, I’m really glad I went! On that day, three manta rays came to us, and they turned around multiple times, which was just amazing! This was the best memory from my experience on the Big Island. I hope everyone can have a wonderful experience at Manta University as well. If I have the opportunity to go back to the Big Island, I would love to participate again.

It feels like a friendly couple runs this place. Since we were supposed to gather at 9, I arrived 10 minutes early, but no one was there. The couple showed up right on time. We departed at 9:30, and they told us to eat bananas and macadamia nuts while we waited. I was worried about being able to ride the horse, but it seemed well-trained, so I had nothing to worry about. I had a very enjoyable time. I had previously looked at the scenery from above the valley, but this was a valuable experience that you can only appreciate by going down.

Oh, the restroom is extremely dirty. It stinks! So, I strongly recommend taking care of that before arriving at the meeting point. There is a public restroom at the Waipi'o Valley lookout, so it's a good idea to use that. It's not clean either, but it's much better than here.

Also, after the horseback riding, the couple leaves the customers behind to go for lunch. That was refreshing in a way.

ワイピオ渓谷の展望台に公衆トイレがありますのでそこを使うといいです。
ここも、決して綺麗ではないですけど、よほどマシです。

それと、夫婦は乗馬が終わったら
ランチに行くのでお客を置いて行ってしまいます。
それも、なんか新鮮でしたよ。

My 7-year-old daughter, my nephew, and my grandfather all participated. Since my daughter had ridden horses once in Hokkaido, she had some understanding of the process, but everyone was very satisfied as they were able to ride more than they expected. Unlike in Japan, where the instructor walks alongside holding the reins, here the instructor was also on horseback. At first, my daughter had some tears because she couldn't lift the horse's head well, but after a while, she seemed to be doing well.

The explanations were, of course, in English, so it seemed quite confusing for them. However, we had trouble finding the meeting point. We intended to arrive 30 minutes early, but we got lost and arrived right at the starting time, which caused inconvenience to those who had arrived earlier. It would be helpful to have more detailed information about the meeting point.

The weather was quite rainy, to the point where we thought it might be canceled, but the event went ahead. It stopped raining by the end, but I wished I had reminded everyone to bring raincoats based on the weather.

I participated in a different tour with my baby and mother, but the timing of the horseback riding experience worked out well, and I was able to pick them up properly.

My daughter said she wants to participate in horseback riding again and try running next time.

北海道で一度乗馬をしているので、ある程度の流れわかっていたのですが、思っていた以上に乗馬でき大満足のみんなです。日本とは違い、指導の方が歩いて手綱をひいて、、いう乗馬の方法ではなく、指導の方も馬の上からなので、初めは娘がうまく馬の頭を上げられなく涙する場面があったようですが、しばらくすると、うまく進んでいたようです。
説明はもちろん英語だったので、ちんぷんかんぷんだったようですが、、、、
ただ、集合場所がわからなく、30分前に到着しよう思っていたのですが、迷子になり開始時刻に到着。先に到着されていたみなさんに迷惑をかけてしましました。
もっと詳しく集合場所がわかるといいです。
お天気も、、、中止か、、とおもうくらいの雨でしたが決行されました。最後には雨は上がったのですが、、持ち物にお天気によりカッパ必要とあれば持たせていたのに、、と思いました。

私は赤ちゃんと母と別のツアーに参加していましたが、乗馬体験の時間といい感じで組み合わせることができ、お迎えにもきちんいくことができましたよ。

娘は、次も乗馬に参加して走ってみたい、、といっています。

On August 1st, I participated with six people, including two children. I think there is a need for improvement in guiding to the seats, but the buffet food was delicious, and the luau show was enjoyable with various performances like hula dancing and fire shows. I thought three hours from 5 PM to 8 PM would be long, but with the meal, the show, and the sunset along with the natural setting, I was able to enjoy it without getting bored.

座席までの誘導に改善が必要かと思いますが、ブッフェの料理もおいしくルアウショーもフラダンスやファイヤーショーなどいろいろな構成があり楽しかったです。

You can interact with the dolphins comfortably under the guidance of the trainers. However, all communication is in English. The trainers are very friendly and use gestures to express themselves, but it would be less stressful if you have a basic understanding of English.

The experience lasts for 30 minutes, but you won't be interacting with the dolphins continuously for that entire time. Depending on the dolphins' situation, there will be moments when you are separated from them, and then you will interact with them again under the trainer's guidance. However, it felt like the total time was more than 30 minutes.

The dolphins are truly adorable, and the experience of being able to touch them is very valuable.

Also, when participating in this activity, you need to bring a bath towel from your hotel room. I forgot mine and ended up purchasing a towel from the shop for $30.

あと、アクティビティー中は写真やビデオの撮影は一切できません。映像は各グループにつききっりの撮影者が付き、100ドルで購入可能です（映像の長さは20分間）。チェックインの際にお願いしなければなりません。写真はアクティビティーの後で、画像データを全部購入や、1枚ずつの写真印刷等、色々選べます。画像データは40カット全部を買うと125ドルですが、個別で買っても6画像ぐらい買うと結局それぐらいになります。

This was my second time riding in Waipi'o. This time, I tried going into the valley, and it was fun to go right into the river. Last time, it was a private tour with just the guide, my husband, and me, and the guide spoke slowly in both English and Japanese, so I understood well. This time, there were about ten people, and only one group of Japanese (two people), so I couldn't catch everything, but it was still enjoyable. The scenery was more impressive on the mountain climbing tour I took in 2014. However, this experience allows you to ride a horse casually, not worrying about getting wet, and going deep into the water, which is something you wouldn't imagine in Japan, all at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it.

It takes about 30 minutes by powerboat from the meeting point to arrive off the Sheraton Hotel. The sunset is amazing.
When we arrived, there were about 7 or 8 boats gathered.
After the sunset, we held onto the boat and enjoyed manta ray watching for about 40 minutes.
During that time, we saw manta rays ranging from 50 cm to 100 cm about 10 times.
On the way back, we returned in the powerboat through the darkness for 30 minutes, but it started to rain and it was quite cold and uncomfortable.
I think a tour that meets near the Sheraton would be easier and quicker.

My 7-year-old son, who was experiencing the ocean for the first time, jumped in with a wonderful smile without any fear. Even for me, a first-time snorkeler, I was able to relax without a floatation device thanks to the guide's suggestion, "Mom, you'll be fine without a float, you can do it," and I entrusted my children to them, allowing us to fully enjoy the beautiful world of dolphins. I am truly grateful for being able to share such a happy experience with my children! I will not forget the smiles of the staff and the ocean of Hawaii, and I definitely want to visit the Big Island again.

I participated with my 70-year-old parents. My father struggled with snorkeling and gave up partway through, but during that time, our guide, Tori, frequently checked on him as we returned to the boat. My mother seemed to be having a great time, looking around in the water the whole time.

The manta rays come very close; it's an incredible experience!

Absolutely gorgeous morning...our guides Ben and Happy were amazing....they were really great....very helpful and very knowledgeable....it was the advertising of this event that I'm pissed about....me and my kids wanted to travel into sea caves....well....there was no sea cave...it was literally a hole in the mountain.....you don't go into a "cave" and explore and see amazing things....you literally go up to a wall and thats it. Had I known that....I wouldn't have dropped $85.00 bucks each to paddle out in a kayak to see a hole in a mountain!!! It's very misleading and I wouldn't waste the money on this.....we did see dolphins run by us in the kayaks, we did see some fish while snorkeling..even though my mask they provided kept fogging up...I eventually just gave up on the snorkeling and sat on a rock until it was time to go. No pictures to provide bc go pro didn't work.

After a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Kona, we arrived at the Kafa Ranch right at 8:30. Since I was only wearing a T-shirt, I decided to borrow a jacket and a helmet. After a brief lecture (it was in English, but even someone like me who can't speak it could understand somewhat. They taught us how to start, stop, and steer the horse.) they helped us choose a horse based on our body type. My horse was a sturdy gray named "Smoky," which was just right to support my 80 kg.

We set off in a line. The ranch itself is located in a high area, and we continued to ascend through the grasslands. Along the way, we encountered a thick fog. Borrowing the jacket was definitely the right choice. My glasses fogged up with water droplets. It was quite cold, but when the fog cleared, we were enveloped in refreshing air. After almost two and a half hours without taking a break, we were on the horses the whole time. The scale of this horseback riding experience was completely different from what I've experienced in Japan.

I absolutely recommend this activity!!

Ｔシャツしか着ていなかったので、上着とヘルメットを借りることにしました。簡単なレクチャー（英語でしたが、話せない私でもなんとなくわかります。動き出しや止め方、横に行かせる仕方などを教えてくれます。）を受けた後、体つきを見て、馬を決めてくれます。私の馬は、唯一の葦毛でどっしりとした「スモーキー」です。80キロの私を支えるにはちょうどいいかな。
列を組んで出発。牧場じたいがかなり高い地域にあり、そこからさらに草原を登っていきます。途中から、一面の霧。上着を借りていて大正解でした。メガネも水滴で曇るほどでした。かなり寒い思いもしましたが、霧が晴れるとさわやかな空気に包まれます。出発から２時間半弱、休憩も取らず、馬に乗りっぱなしです。日本の乗馬体験とは、とにかくスケールが違いました。
絶対におすすめのアクティビティです！！

The view of Waipi'o Valley was absolutely stunning. We went down to the bottom of the valley and rode horses at a leisurely pace, feeling safe as we progressed. The local guide's quick-witted jokes were fantastic and kept the guests entertained.

A great zipline course -- especially for young kids and first timers. Staff is organized, nice and safety focused. Terrain is tropical lush, with ziplines in close proximity to one another. We enjoyed it so much, we would have re-booked in next tour if it wasn't closing time!

My husband and two kids (12 and 9 y.o.) went on this kayaking tour. At first, I was nervous that 4 hours would be too long and my kids would not last. It turned out that my kids and husband loved it and could have gone longer. It was easy paddling. The day was perfect for kayaking - very relaxing and beautiful scenic route. Best part was snorkeling at Keauhou Bay. Our guide, Kevin, at King Kayak was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a good history overview. Would definitely do this again and want to go longer next time.

About 10 minutes after departing from Kona, we encountered dolphins.
After about 20 minutes, we proceeded to the diving point.
We played with colorful fish, slides, and inflatable rings that delighted the kids.
I was satisfied to see my child, who was not fond of deep water, happily swimming without any signs of anxiety.

I signed up because I wanted to go cave exploring, but we didn't go to the cave. There was no explanation for not going (there might have been one, but it wasn't heard by everyone over the sea). It ended earlier than planned. Snorkeling was fun, but I feel like I missed out.
