1. I was very satisfied with the location, the pilot, and the staff. I highly recommend it. 100 points.

2. Since my seat was on the left side, all the highlights were on the right side of the journey. The aircraft blocked my view, and I couldn't take the photos I wanted, which was disappointing. I requested the pilot to make a turn, but it was only accommodated once. Minus 40 points.

We spotted them about five minutes after setting sail! After that, they continued to show us blows, breaches, tail slaps, and pectoral slaps one after another. Although we weren't very close, I was completely satisfied with how frequently they performed their "dance."

Fortunately, the Hilton Waikoloa where I stayed had a room at the very end facing the ocean, and during the morning and afternoon, I could see blows and breaches in the distance. I participated in the tour in early March, and it seems to be the perfect time for whale watching, as we encountered them frequently.

We were blessed with good weather; there were some waves, but the boat's rocking was less than I had worried about, making for a comfortable journey.

その後も続々とブロー・ブリーチング・テールスラップ・ペックスラップを見せてくれました。
距離はけっして近くなかったけれど、これだけ頻繁に“ダンス”を魅せてくれたので大満足です。

ツアーに参加したのは3月初旬でしたが、頻繁に出逢えるホエールウォッチングには最適・絶好の時期のようです。

好天に恵まれて、多少の波はありましたが心配していた船の揺れも少なく、快適な船の旅でした。

Also, it wasn't a landing tour to the waterfall, but I was hoping to see it, so I was a bit disappointed.

As we left the shoreline, the captain noticed several whales breaching in the distance. He asked if we wanted to go past the reef to see it and we all said yes, of course. We spent most of the 30 minutes whale watching from a distance. On our return trip, the crew still found time to pass over the reef and explain several interesting details not only about the reef but the animals the call it home. It was a great time and the crew did a great job!

I would not change one thing about this tour. It exceeded our expectations. the communication before the experience was excellent. Jason was an exceptional guide - so attentive! He is an expert in astronomy and Hawaiian history which we greatly enjoyed. He had a great telescope and a cool machine that takes pictures of celestial objects in the sky that he EVEN EMAILED TO US LATER! Just wow! The chicken stew was delicious too! Since I stayed at Waikoloa Village, I decided to book Dolphin Quest. The prices were high due to the weak yen, but I thought the experience for my child was priceless, so I made the reservation. The group was divided into two, with one team that understood English and another that did not. The team that didn't understand English had four Japanese and one Indian. Later, you can purchase photos for download.

This was my second helicopter tour, but it was my first time sitting next to the pilot. The view was wide and I highly recommend it. You can see down very well, so this tour offered great views of the waterfalls and canyons. I think 50 minutes is just the right length.

The pilot was very kind and cheerful. He seemed to be a former military pilot, so his skills were definitely impressive. All the staff were also very friendly. There are many wonderful views on the Big Island that you can't see from a car or land, so I think taking a helicopter tour to see them from the sky is a great experience. I've heard that during periods of volcanic eruptions, reservations fill up quickly and it's hard to get a spot. Definitely give it a try!

パイロットの方はとても優しくて陽気でした。元軍のパイロットだったらしく、腕は間違いないです。スタッフの皆さんもとても親切でした。ハワイ島は車や陸からでは見られない素晴らしい景色が沢山あるのでヘリコプターツアーで空から見るのは良い経験だと思います。火山が噴火してる期間は予約がいっぱいで取れないとか。是非試して見て下さい。

The location is a 15-minute walk from Ocean Tower, and it takes about 15 minutes by tram as well. Check-in for general seating is on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 16:45, so we lined up at 16:00 and were the first ones there. Premium seats are prioritized in the front, while general seating is in the back blocks. The show runs roughly until 20:30, and at the end, everyone can take photos. The meat at the buffet was delicious. Additionally, the American couple at the neighboring table kindly struck up a conversation with us, which made for a very enjoyable experience.
