Departure Shuttle

Posted on: 2014/11/05

Their vehicle came on time and the driver was professional. Mercedes Splinter was pretty comfortable to ride in. The driver picked up about 4 more couples after me. We got to the airport on time. Would use again.

Good service

Posted on: 2014/11/05

When I arrived from Oakland, I looked for Speedi Shuttle desk on the baggage claim area. It was easy to find, and there were several staffs that were taking care of the arrival travelers already. We were then taken to the shuttle on the side of the airport, and we waited for 15 more min before we left for Waikiki. The driver was professional and we got to the hotel about 1 hour after arrival. I'd use them again.

Big Kahuna Luau!

Posted on: 2014/10/17

This is our 2nd time in Hawaii, and we wanted to do something different. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center a few years ago, and we wanted to make sure that we go to a luau again. We found this luau on VELTRA, and we are glad we did. It was very close to Waikiki, and the view was gorgeous! It was like a little hidden secret place in the busy Honolulu that no guidebook writes about. They welcomed us with some Mai Tai and pupus, and we had enough time to play Hawaiian games and learn how to hula. The show was pretty good, and the quality of entertainment was top notch. The food was ok, but the customer service was great. We'd go again next time.

First Timer

I've never had an experience with guns before, so when I found out that I could try it out in Hawaii, I decided to do it. I'm glad I did! Now I can say that I had shot AK47, M16 and Glock. The instructor was very friendly and safety oriented so I never felt any danger during the experience. The packages VELTRA offers are way better than the other sites, too. Try it!

Beautiful Luau

Posted on: 2014/06/18

I went to this luau with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. The oceanfront location was great, and we were staying at the Wailea Beach Marriott so it was convenient. The food was great. I know a lot of people were not keen to try their "poi" but what's the point of travelling if you don't eat something different? I personally liked it when I ate it with the "lomilomi." The fire-knife dancer was AMAZING. It's crazy how he's not burning himself! They also had a lot of vendors you can purchase souvenirs from. My wife bought some jewelry. Highly recommended.

Great Aquarium

Posted on: 2014/06/18

I didn't know what to expect before I got there, but they surprised me. The facility was very clean and organized, and the exhibitions were great. I learned so much about Hawaii's marine life, and they had a lot of unique species that only available in Hawaii.

I was impressed by the shark exhibition. I could be there all day watching these magnificent creatures. A perfect for everyone who is interested in the marine life. I went to the snorkel tour the next day, and I got to see some of the fish I saw at the Maui Ocean Center so it was very educational.

Thrilling!

Posted on: 2014/06/17

This was definitely an adventure not to be missed. We checked in with their friendly staffs at the shop, and we were off to go. The whole ride was exciting, and we were flying over the waves. Even though the weather looks fine in the morning, bring a windbreaker! It's a must. You will get soaked wet from the splash, and you are going super fast so you can get cold from the wind. Don't bring anything that you don't want to get wet as they don't have dry bags. It's not recommended for people with bad back or neck, as this is a rough ride. Super fun and highly recommended for those who are looking for "not your mama's cruise."

Kayak & Snorkel Fun!

Posted on: 2014/05/14

This kayak trip was awesome. I booked this tour since I heard that snorkeling is awesome in Kaneohe, and I wanted to get away from busy Waikiki. I was picked up from my hotel in Waikiki in the morning, and once we got to the state park, we were greeted by friendly staff at their gift shop where we checked in.

Make sure you bring your insect repellent. I got bit by mosquitos a few times. Once we were briefed and went down to the launch pad, our kayaks were tugged to the boat so we didn't have to kayak all the way to the first snorkel spot. The guide dropped us around the half way, and we kayaked about 15min to get to the Coconut island. The coral was BEAUTIFUL and there were a lot of tropical fish.

After 30min or so, we were then tugged again to the 2nd location. It was awesome since we were already a little tired from snorkeling. I liked the 2nd location at the sandbar, and this spot was also beautiful. The other snorkelers spotted a huge sea turtle.

We then had a chance to choose if we wanted to kayak back or tugged on the boat again. I chose to kayak back, and it was a perfect amount for kayaking for a day.

They had a fresh water shower at the park, and they took us to their BBQ lunch spot where we had a chance to eat delicious lunch with their staff.

Overall, this was a great tour. Especially recommended for families with small children or older people who can't kayak too long. Tugboat was awesome.

Highly recommended!

Whales!

Posted on: 2014/02/19

We had an amazing encounter with this one whale that came under our boat. It happens but it's very rare, and this male whale did it twice! We could really see how huge this animal was up-close. I'd highly recommend doing a whale watching cruise in Maui. It's AWESOME!

I flew like the Iron Man

Posted on: 2014/01/18

This was a blast! I've seen it on TV but I couldn't really imagine what to expect to operate one of those things. It was definitely challenging to operate but the helmet has the headset embedded so you can clearly hear the instruction from the pro (Nick). He did a great job explaining what to do, so I got up in the air no problem. It really did feel like one of those superheros with a jet attached to them. The key was to relax and let the jet do its job.

If I had a chance, I would go back and do it again so I can learn some cool tricks that I've seen on YouTube. You should try it!!!
