This was likely our last family trip as a family of four, with my daughter and son now adults. We chose this tour as it seemed to leave the deepest impression on everyone. Additionally, it was perfectly timed as our last night fell on a Friday, allowing us to set it up for the fireworks display. The steak was delicious, the crab was all-you-can-eat, and the Hawaiian dance show was fantastic. Just after the passing of Hideki Saijo, the song "YMCA" played at the end of the cruise, and we all danced together, reaching a peak of excitement that truly created unforgettable memories for our entire family.

We didn't arrange for pick-up, so we went directly to the meeting point by bus and on foot without any issues, but I would also recommend the limousine service as it is reasonably priced.

送迎はつけなかったので現地集合時間にバスと歩きで直接行き何の問題も無かったのですが、リムジン送迎もリーズナブル価格なのでリムジン利用もお薦めでした。

Since it was a trip combined with our honeymoon, we decided to indulge a bit and went for the lobster course at the cruise dinner! The lobster was delicious! This is true; I had lobster at three other places, but this was the best!

As for the other dishes, they were just average, maybe a bit too American in flavor?

However, the view from the cruise was amazing, and it really made me feel like I was in Hawaii! I originally made a reservation for the last day, but unfortunately, it was fully booked... If you're hoping for a Friday cruise, I highly recommend making your reservation as early as possible!

During my honeymoon in Hawaii, I participated in a 3-star cruise. The atmosphere was cheerful, and I enjoyed the food while watching the show. The portion sizes were just right, not too much. Additionally, there was plenty of time to enjoy the scenery freely, allowing us to take many memorable photos on the boat.

However, I was quite confused about whether the tip was included in the tour price or not before boarding. I decided to prepare for it just in case, thinking I would give a tip if I saw other participants doing so. Upon researching, it seemed that when booked through other companies, tips were often included in the tour price, and since it appeared that the surrounding guests were not tipping, we decided not to either. (Though there might have been some who tipped without us noticing...) The voucher from Veltra did not mention tips under "what's included," so I would appreciate it if it could be clearly stated whether tips are included or not to help alleviate any concerns before boarding. I find it quite confusing that the inclusion of tips varies between companies even for the same tour.

As a participant, I found the cruise itself very enjoyable and felt it was worth participating. However, my honest impression is that it would have been more reassuring to book with a company that clearly states their tipping policy.

陽気な雰囲気で、ショーも、見ながら料理を楽しむことが出来ました。料理の量も多すぎず、丁度良かったです。また、自由に景色を楽しめる時間も充分にあるので、船の上で思い出に残る写真も沢山撮ることができました。

ただ、チップがツアー代金に含まれるのか含まれないのかが良く分からず、乗船前にすごく戸惑いました。周りの参加者を見て、チップを渡しているようだったら渡そうと決め、念のため準備をして行きました。調べると、他の会社で申し込んだ場合はツアー代金に含まれると書いてある場合が多いようで、周囲のお客さんは渡していない様子だったため、私たちもそうしました。（気づいていないだけで、渡している方もいらっしゃったかもしれませんが…）
ベルトラさんのバウチャーの、「含まれるもの」にチップは載っていませんでしたが、乗船前に不安なく楽しめるように、含まれないなら含まれないと明記して頂くとありがたいなと思いました。同じツアーでも申し込んだ会社によってチップが含まれている場合と含まれていない場合が混在していてとても分かりづらいなと思います。
参加者としては、クルーズ自体はとても楽しく、参加して良かったと思っています。ただ申し込む際は、チップの事をきちんと明記してある会社で申し込んだ方が安心して参加できたなと思ったのが率直な感想です。

It's a buffet style with live music.

The show was really enjoyable. There were clouds and a little bit of rain, so the weather was my biggest concern, but I was able to see a beautiful sunset! It took a little time for the food and drinks to be brought to the table, and in the end, it got a bit rushed.

Since we decided to meet on-site, I will head to the venue by 6:30 PM. If you show your reservation screen at the reception, they will guide you. First, we will toast with a welcome drink, then enjoy a buffet while listening to music and watching hula performances. The dining area is right next to the reception, not inside the venue.

I thought it might be fine not to include a meal, but since there will be hula performances during the meal and the people who bring drinks are also part of the show, I think it would be nice to remember their faces for a different kind of enjoyment during the show.

After the meal, we will enter the venue and freely look at the exhibits before heading to the second-floor seating. The seating arrangement is determined by the order of entry. When we went, we were able to sit in the very front of the second floor. It seems that on the first floor, you can watch the show while dining.

The show starts with visuals, upbeat music, and hula dancing. The impersonation show is entirely in English, so if you don't understand English, you might miss some of the fun. However, the Elvis impersonator came to the second floor and even shook hands, making it a vibrant show that I would recommend for those who love glamorous performances and rock music.

Both during the meal and the show, the vibe is very American, so I had the impression that, including us, the Japanese audience might not be fully in sync. 食事のあとは会場内に入り展示品などを自由に見てから２階席へ。入った順番で座る場所が決まります。
私たちの時は２階席の一番前に座ることができました。１階では食事をしながらショーが見れるようです。

ショーは映像と軽快な音楽とフラダンスではじまります。
ものまねショーはすべて英語なので英語がわからないと面白さは若干劣るような気がしますが、2階席までエルビスのそっくりさんが来てくれたり握手をしてくれたりするので華やかなショーやロックが好きな方にはおすすめです。

食事中もショー中もノリがアメリカンなので私たちも含め、日本人はノリ切れてないかなー？という印象でしたが、1時間ちょっとのショーの中で衣装もステージの印象も短時間で変化をさせながら迫力あるステージで最後まで飽きさせない演出はとても素晴らしく楽しい夜を過ごせました。

I was served the dishes out of order and felt like I was being discriminated against; everything was terrible! The meat was tough, the crab legs were thin, and there were no forks for the crab! I will never participate in such a tour again.

What I love about this show is its variety performance. It has hula dances, Michael Jackson, Elvis and fire eater. All the performances were very good. I love Elvis. I would have loved to see more hula dances but overall it was good. Also, I wish it was a little longer. We opted for the pre-performance buffet dinner and it was good too. The band was good as well. I highly recommend this show to everyone. It is worth it. It is not the usual luau but it had a las vegas impersonators. My family enjoyed it including my teenage kids. It is for all ages. Very well choreographed. Love that it is inside an indoor theatre.

I highly recommend this show. It is one of a kind show. It is a luau with Las Vegas flare. I particularly loved Elvis. I wish he could have sang some more songs but it was still a great show. All the performances were outstanding. The band was good too. Also the fire dance was great. My kids enjoyed it. Do not hesitate to watch the show. When I come back to Honolulu I want to watch it again. We had the dinner buffet before the show and the food was great too. It included a free maitai. I also like that it was in an enclosed theatre. Rock a hula, you rock. I would not hesitate to watch it again.

Basically, everyone serving food spoke English, but there was a Japanese menu at the table, so it wasn't too difficult. It's an all-you-can-eat crab, but there were no crab spoons or scissors, which are common in Japan, so I struggled a bit to eat.
The ship was cold. If you want to enjoy the food slowly, a jacket is essential. At the end, they served a very delicious macadamia nut ice cream, but I ate it while freezing (laughs). Each dish was labeled with "from the famous XX restaurant in Hawaii," which made it even more delicious.

The sunset was very beautiful. I thought we could go up to the top of the ship, but it seemed to be reserved that day, so I watched from the deck on the third floor.
Since it wasn't a plan with transportation included, I took a bus to Aloha Tower. The routes are easy to understand, and the system hasn't changed, so I think riding the bus in Hawaii is a good experience.

サンセットがとても綺麗でした。船の屋上まで出られるのかと思っていたのですが、この日は貸し切りだったようで上がれませんでしたので3階のデッキから見ました。
送迎付きプランではなかったのでアロハタワーまでバスで行きました。路線も分かりやすいですしシステムも変わらないので、ハワイのバスに乗ってみるのも良い体験と思います。

However, by the end of our trip, we were exhausted and had even had an argument the day before, so we boarded the boat in silence. This was a great show. We have been to luaus before and we promise not to do it again because we feel that they are way overpriced but we decided to gamble on this one since it had great reviews and it sounded different with the rock and roll and boy it did not disappoint. Our whole party of 6 really enjoyed the show from beginning to end. I highly recommend this show to everyone. My favorite was Elvis. Its like watching Vegas in Hawaii. The buffet dinner was good too. Honestly guys, this is a must do when you go to Oahu. You get to learn about the Polynesian culture while having fun! The center was huge and there’s lots of activities to do throughout the day. There’s several shows that we’re OUTSTANDING!!! The food at the luau was amazing as well. The final show: HA, was sooo good, it’s a must see. Highly recommend!

We didn't apply for VIP, so we first had a meal on the terrace while listening to music and watching hula. The food was delicious! We moved indoors and got to see a lot of songs and hula in the show. The hula was really cute!

The tour itself was very good and interesting, especially if you're a history buff. Only disappointment was we had to pick up 1 tour member at the airport and waited for over a half hour for him and he wasn't even there, he showed up later on. We could have used that extra half hour for site seeing on the USS Missouri or other museums at Pearl Harbor. Guide Jay was knowledgeable and engaging. Overall, a great tour with lots to see!

Paradise Cove Luau on the Beach at Ko Olina Resort

The whole experience was amazing. The show was spectacular. They even made the bus ride fun. The staff treated us like royalty. The pre show activities were fun. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this luau to anyone.

The steak and lobster were both very delicious! I made a reservation for Friday because I wanted to see the fireworks from the boat, but the singing and music performances were so amazing that watching the fireworks felt like an added bonus! Thank you for the wonderful food and performances!

The appetizers, lobster, steak, and cocktails were all delicious. When we went outside, the view was breathtaking and the sunset was very beautiful. The local staff were all wonderful, and watching the show and dancing together made for an incredibly fun experience and the best memories! I chose a plan that included photos, and I think it’s worth it because the quality exceeded my expectations! I definitely want to participate again! ☆
