For our honeymoon's final day, we were considering a dinner cruise. When I talked to friends and did some searches, "Star of Honolulu" came up as the top option, but I wondered if there might be better ships out there, so I did some research myself. However, the results still showed that Star of Honolulu was the best choice, so even though it wasn't cheap, I went ahead and booked it. The buffet-style meal was delicious, and I was very satisfied with both the taste and the menu. Our seats were on the second floor with a great view! There was live music and dancing, making the two hours fly by. The scenery outside the ship was amazing, with a rainbow appearing and a beautiful sunset. It became a wonderful memory, and I was very glad I made the reservation! It was a truly satisfying dinner.

What a fantastic experience, from the time we were picked up by the bus, our tour guide cousin T was fanatastic. She was funny, informative and super helpful. This is a very big luau so expect lots of people however there are many different activities you can do. Perhaps another activity for the kids could be facepainting? My next suggestion would be a printed schedule on the tables. I was very pleased with this luau, highly recommended.

I wanted to see some kind of show when I went to Hawaii, so I attended the Rock-a-Hula show, which also included a buffet. The location was easy to find on the fourth floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, and it was convenient for using the trolley afterward, which was reassuring. We ate at the buffet under the tent on the terrace before moving to the show venue. The meal started with a Mai Tai drink, and they asked whether we wanted it alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The staff guided each table in turn to the buffet. While we were eating, we could enjoy dancing and singing, which heightened the feeling of being in Hawaii. The show had free seating in the second-floor section. Video and flash photography were not allowed, but taking photos was okay. An Elvis impersonator came around, which was a bit challenging for everyone, but it was fun. The dancers changed costumes quickly and performed energetically. If you mainly want to see hula dancing, you might find it a bit different. However, as a show, the dancing was excellent, and I enjoyed it without getting bored until the end, which left me satisfied. After the show, they also took photos and signed autographs in the lobby, providing excellent service.

By choosing a window-side reserved seat, I was able to feel the sea breeze and enjoy a leisurely meal. The staff also taught me how to eat the lobster. All the dishes were delicious.

We were blessed with good weather, and since it was Friday, we were able to fully enjoy the fireworks. The sunset and the performance show were also fun.

I participated with the option of the night view from Tantalus Hill, which was a one-star experience. The hula show on the ship was amazing! I was able to see a lot of dances that showcase the unique characteristics of each Hawaiian island, so just watching this hula show is worth it. After departure, you can freely move between seats and the deck. During the all-you-can-eat crab, a guy with a bucket full of crabs came around to our table multiple times, offering more. The night view from Tantalus is a must-see! It seems like you can only get there by car, so I was glad I signed up. I took some photos, but seeing it with my own eyes was much more beautiful. I'm very satisfied. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Book the Luau with transportation, had a rental but wanted to relax. Paradise Luau is a very beautiful place and great entertainment. This is my second time visiting Paradise Luau and I felt that the entertainment did not disappoint again. I did feel a little bummed out about the food because they didn't have the delicious fried chickens. Most of the food was good but I didn't even go for seconds this time. Anyways, overall a great luau and I do recommend it.

If you want a typical Hawaiian luau this show is not for you. But if you enjoy music going as far back as the 1930's then this show is highly recommended. Most of the music was done by Elvis and Michael Jackson. The performers were great. The fire dance was great but was very short/limited. The performance was done indoors in a theater with theater seating which was great but again if you want to experience an outdoor luau this show is not for you.

The location of the show is in the heart of Waikiki Beach on the 4th floor of a mall. We drove from Marriott Ko olina Resort which is about 20 miles away and took is about 45 minutes to get to the show. So if you are planning to come from the Ko olina/Aulani Resort area plan to drive for 45-60 minutes. There is ample parking to self-park. The parking is free for the 1st 3 hours with validation. After the show you can walk around in the area for shopping. The check in experience was great and was very fast. All the workers were very helpful and hard working. The food was simple, tasty and healthy, especially the curry fish.

overall my family and I enjoyed this show and would recommend it to others.

We participated for the first time as a family of three generations: parents, a couple, and children. Although we had reserved Golden Circle seats, it seems we were shown to regular seats. When it was time to eat, we were kept waiting, which made us anxious, so we asked, and it turned out we were not in the Golden Circle seats (the ray was cast over everyone).

In a hurry, we were finally guided to the actual Golden Circle seats, but the buffet had a long line. In the end, we ended up getting our food last, which was very disappointing. It seemed that we were supposed to receive select drink tickets at the beginning, but we were not given those tickets, so our drink orders were also delayed.

I had high hopes for this commemorative trip with my parents, but our enjoyment was halved. The show itself was entirely in English, but we were able to enjoy the atmosphere.

Was a great night with good food and good entertainment to follow. Rose was our server and what a fantastic job she did, she had a number of tables to look after (as servers do over there) yet she gave intimate tables of two just as much as large group tables.
Overall a well run experience from pickup to drop off couldn't fault it at all

This time, I used the Terrace Luau Buffet & Show. After arriving, I had the buffet on the terrace of the Hawaiian Center. There were about 10 dishes, including roast beef, huli huli chicken, and whole roasted pig, which left me completely full. Additionally, during the meal, I was able to enjoy ukulele performances and dance close to my seat. After that, we moved to the show venue, and we had seats right in the middle of the second floor! It was very easy to see. The show included rock music, hula, and fire dancing, and I was able to enjoy it all the way to the end without getting bored. I was moved by the performances of Michael Jackson and Elvis. Being able to see authentic hula made for a wonderful memory!

We were seated at a table in the bow section on the first floor. Although we were guided there, our group's seats were no longer available. When we informed the staff, they kindly asked other guests to move and prepared the best seats in that room for us. (I later found out that there was a group using extra chairs for their luggage.) While they were preparing our seats, they made sure we weren't bored by asking, "Where are you from?" and the musician made jokes to entertain us. During the meal, they kept us entertained with singing and dancing, and I was impressed by the sense of unity we experienced in the same room.

I was at the designated location 15 minutes before the pickup, but when I called the tour company 20 minutes after the scheduled time, they told me the bus had already left and that I would have to pay for my own transportation. Their response and attitude were utterly shocking.

I've signed up for local tours dozens of times, but this is the first time I've experienced something like this, and I can't contain my anger.

I will never go on such a frustrating tour again.

I believe that no matter what mistake happens, the way it is handled can make all the difference.

It was more fun than I had expected.

It came with two drink tickets, which was enough.

The meat and lobster were delicious. The stage show changed over time, keeping things interesting.

I occasionally went out on deck to enjoy the views before sunset, the sunset itself, the night scenery, and the fireworks.

The staff were great at getting everyone excited, and before I knew it, I was participating and dancing along.

Finally, the bus driver who took us back to the hotel was incredibly funny.

We were given two drink tickets per person and headed out. The table staff were friendly and nice. I chose shrimp and fish for the meal, and both were really delicious. We also got to see a rainbow from the boat, which was great. There was a hula dance and a show where everyone danced together, which was quite lively.

I arrived at the venue at 6:30 and was first guided to the buffet. I sat at a long table and waited for my turn to go to the food table. I could choose from about ten different dishes, including green salad, macaroni salad, sautéed sweet potatoes, curry-cooked white fish, and chicken. The photo shows all the dishes I took a little bit of on two plates. The roast beef and pork were really delicious.

At 7:30, the show began. It was incredibly fun. There were performances featuring nostalgic songs from Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, along with hula dancing. Michael Jackson's performance was particularly impressive; his moonwalk was very skillful and moving. The hula and Tahitian dance segments were short but very authentic and enjoyable to watch. I was seated near the center, which was a great spot, allowing me to enjoy the show even more.

I’m really glad I got to see this show.

6:30に会場に到着してから、まずはビュッフェへ案内されました。長いテーブルに座って順番がくるまで待ち、料理のあるテーブルへ。グリーンサラダ、マカロニサラダ、さつまいものソテー、白身魚のカレー煮、チキンなど10種類くらいから選びます。写真は二枚の皿に全ての料理を少しずつ持ってきたものです。ローストビーフとポークは本当に美味しかったです。
7：30からはショーへ。これはとてもとても楽しかったです。懐かしのマイケル・ジャクソンやエルヴィス・プレスリーの歌とフラダンスのショー。特にマイケル・ジャクソンは圧巻で、ムーンウォークはとても上手で感動的でした。フラダンスとタヒチアンダンスの部分も、短かったですが、とても本格的で見ごたえがありました。席は優先的にセンター付近に案内してくれました。本当にど真ん中のとても良い席で、ますますショーを楽しむことができました。
今回このショーを見れて本当に良かったです。

We went along to this night not knowing a lot about the performance, other than it was in a very convenient location for us and that it was a very reasonable price. We left being blown away by the sheer professionalism, talent and wow factor of the performers and entire evening.

The pre show dinner was tasty and filling, the service friendly & prompt.

The show was in a lovely theatre with exceptional stage and lighting setup and from the moment the show started our eyes were glued to the stage.

The singers and dancers never missed a beat or note, the lighting was beautiful and the music fun and fabulous. We enjoyed the range of pop performers throughout the eras with Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators as stand out performers! Even at the meet and greet afterwards Michael was perfectly in character - when I asked him how long his show makeup took he replied in a wonderfully accurate voice "makeup? What makeup??"

The fire dancer was also phenomenal with even bar staff remarking that they tried to align their breaks with his performance to go watch from the back of the theatre! Who needs to go to an overpriced louwow when you've got wonderful traditional hula dancers and performers right here.

5 stars - all round a phenomenal night and a "must see" for all visitors!

I thought I would probably never experience a cruise in Japan unless something special happened, so I participated as a memorable dinner during my trip. With a three-star booking, I was able to enjoy a beautiful view, oversized lobsters, and delicious steaks! I was also happy to have two drinks included. I thoroughly enjoyed the live performances and shows, and I had a wonderful time that exceeded my expectations!

クルーズは、日本ではよほどのことがなければ体験しないであろうと思い、旅行の思い出ディナーとして参加しました。
3スターの申し込みで、綺麗な景色のもと、大きすぎるロブスターや、美味しいステーキを堪能できました！
ドリンク2杯付も嬉しかったです。
生演奏やショーも満喫することが出来、期待以上の時間を過ごすことが出来ました！

The personal attention that you receive during the dinner and pre-show entertainment made you feel so special. The staff remembered your name and details about you — such as where your from, the drinks you like, etc was above and beyond. The food was delicious. My daughter is a vegetarian and they went out of their way to create a vegetarian plate just for her!! The food options on the buffet were all delicious. Both the prime rib and the pork melted in your mouth.

Once we were seated in the theater the videos enriched the show. One of my favorite parts was how the hula girls appearance changed throughout the decades. Elvis was great and Michael Jackson was very impressive. It was more like a musical show than I expected. It was a great surprise. Best night I had in Waikiki ,,,
