There was a good amount of free time, and we strolled around the city while asking our driver for recommendations on places to visit. We were very lucky to see sea turtles swimming at Haleiwa Beach. The garlic shrimp was plump and very delicious. It was a great town with a different atmosphere from the city center, and you could really feel the local vibe. I definitely want to visit again if I have the chance.

There were about 10% Japanese guests, and while the menu had some items in Japanese, all orders and communication were in English. The introductions of the musicians and the engaging talks were also all in English, so having some understanding of the language would make it more enjoyable.
