Our group was looking forward to our first luau and as we arrived at the destination it started raining. While the hosts were quick to hand out rain ponchos, the rain affected the event.

First, the hosts were rushed to get folks registered and get things moving. As a result, our group was never able to get our picture taken before the event started. Knowing this was an outdoor venue and its rainy season, I would have expected that certain things would have been under cover - like the photo area, the stage and honestly even the seating.

The food was under cover and was good. Not spectacular but good. A couple of our group had raw fish and were all sick that night so having certain foods outside for an extended period was not smart.

The performance from the warriors was good. They tried to show the different dress/dance of various polynesian groups but it would have benefited from more clarity on their differences as they all stared looking the same.

The ONE performance I was looking forward to was the fire dance. It was a disappointment. I expected all the adult performers to have choreographed a phenomenal dance of fire, complete with fire twirling, throwing etc. Instead they handed the "fire dance" off to one young boy for a solo act and two young boys to show off what they learned. YES, they were very good! but the magic of a "warrior tribe" dancing the fire dance was lost. The adults did come back for a grand finale - but it seems confusing at best.

The window-side seat on the top floor had a great view and the food was delicious. However, the size of the steak was clearly smaller than those at the surrounding tables, which was disappointing. Additionally, they did not bring water to us or other Japanese guests.

I felt a bit sad about various things, but the evening and night views were wonderful, and we could see the fireworks well, so I think it was still a good experience. I believe those who participate can enjoy it if they have a relaxed mindset.

Last year, we registered our marriage and, being a bit older, we weren't considering a wedding ceremony. However, after researching sunset cruises, we found an option for a vow renewal. We updated our marriage vows for our second anniversary and received a certificate, commemorative photos, and a bottle of champagne for toasting.

We were seated at a couple's table by the window, allowing us to enjoy the view while dining. The sunset and the night view of Honolulu were absolutely wonderful. There were hula dances and various performances, and everyone on the boat had a great time. I chose the one-star meal since I have a small appetite, but the portion was more than enough.

I was wondering if there would be some variation in the arrival time, but it arrived quite on time! The trolley driver was also accustomed to Japanese people and answered my questions about the destination in a friendly manner. The course that goes around to catch the sunset took us to Ala Moana Park at just the right time, and we were able to see a beautiful sunset. I started using it from the day I arrived in Hawaii, but I couldn't use it due to jet lag, so I recommend carefully considering the start date before using it.

Most of the time took pictures and saw the historical hollywood filming locations. The best part was when a staff took pictures for us at a ranch and made us run from one side to another. Absolutely had no clue of why we had to run but there was a video recorded by the staff which was incredible. There was a toy dinosaur that looked like it was chasing after us (like one of the scenes you see in the movies). The ways how they record you on video and take photos are splendid and their ideas are so creative.

I requested a private seat or a window-side seat. The seat was at the very back, right next to the aisle, and close to the restroom, with people constantly passing by, making it impossible to enjoy my meal in peace. Furthermore, the window was partially blocked by stairs and a wall, so there was hardly any sense of privacy or a window-side experience. I was very disappointed, especially since I paid an additional fee to participate. If it had been that seat without the extra cost, I could have accepted it as just bad luck, but given that I paid extra for such a terrible seat, I cannot recommend it... It was very disappointing as it was the last meal of my trip.

The staff were very kind, and I was impressed by their consideration for my grandfather in a wheelchair and their interaction with the children. The cruise ship was large and spacious, and the views were exceptionally beautiful. We chose a plan that included photos, and the pictures turned out to be surprisingly beautiful, capturing everyone well, so I was glad we opted for the photo package. Since we booked it for our last night, it was a wonderful experience to reflect on our trip to Hawaii while enjoying the night view of Waikiki.

I made a reservation for this day thinking it would be great to see the Hilton fireworks. Before boarding, we were welcomed with a show.

Once we boarded and were shown to our seats... I had the impression that in Japan, it's common for two people to sit facing each other, but we were seated side by side instead. I thought it was a considerate arrangement to make conversation easier, but it felt a bit awkward. In front of us were a child and their father seated in the same manner. Next to us was a Japanese couple seated facing each other... I was a bit confused about the seating arrangement.

Before I knew it, we set sail!! The sun gradually began to set.

The food was served in order after we departed. Honestly, there was quite a wait. We had salad, rice, yakisoba, sautéed swordfish, miso grilled chicken, and the main dish, roast beef. The taste was decent. Personally, I found the roast beef a bit too rare for my liking...

While the food was just okay, I really felt the hospitality from the dancers and staff. The show was a lot of fun, and the staff also showcased their dancing skills!! It was a bit strange, but it really got everyone excited!!

Finally, we returned to port after watching the Hilton fireworks. There were various ups and downs, but in the end, it was a very enjoyable time!!

料理は、出航してから順番に案内されます。正直、結構待ちます。
サラダ、ライス、焼きそば、カジキマグロのソテー、みそ焼きチキン、そしてメイン(？)のローストビーフ。
味は、そこそこおいしかったです。ローストビーフは自分的には少し生っぽくて・・・ダメでした。
ま、料理はそんな感じでしたが、ダンサーやスタッフの皆さんのおもてなしはすごく感じました。
とても楽しいショー、そしてスタッフも負けずとダンスを披露！！これがなんだか微妙なんですが、とても盛り上がりました！！
そしてヒルトンの花火をみて帰港。
いろいろありましたが、終わってみたらとても楽しいひと時でした！！

The tour was fun! Our Drivers gave us information about sites as we drove along! We stopped at the macadamia nut farm and fruit stand!! He gave us options about what was available for us to do! I was with a big group, we chose hiking to the waterfall and kayaking/paddleboarding!! The hike was along a paved road so not much hiking but swimming in a waterfall was worth it!! Make sure you wear water shoes that can tolerate walking on rocks if you get in at the waterfall! And while paddle boarding, I saw a turtle then ate gelato at one of the vendors near the lake!
Overall 9/10 experience!!! Would have loved to have gone to the beach as well but time didn’t permit

Celebrating my wife's birthday on the Star of Honolulu! It was organized from the time we were picked up at our hotel by bus to being seated at our reserved table. The ship is divided by what package you purchase (excellent idea). We got a chance to watch fireworks from the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel beach. But was wonderful was the breezes off the ocean in addition to the wonderful sunset while you have your meal. Your meal is brought to your table by the fantastic wait staff. Live music is performed while dining. Later, there is a hula/chaka show. Before you know it, the night is over. My wife received a special birthday cake that was light as a feather and delicious. We ended our stay in Oahu with this dinner cruise. Best time spent. Would do it again just for the sunsets.

Buffet: Simply put, it’s not good. They advertise roast beef, but it’s just tough. I was astonished that they would serve this quality of food for this price. I think it’s better to buy prepared food at ABC Store.

Staff: I believe it’s just a lack of training, but the quality of guidance and service is not good. The waiter was unfriendly, and after disembarking, there was no greeting or farewell atmosphere; it felt like they were just rushing us off the ship and onto the bus.

Show: They are desperately trying to hype things up. Despite that, the singing isn’t good; it felt like they were just trying to create an atmosphere of excitement by getting everyone to dance. At the end, they called out someone celebrating a birthday, but the surrounding atmosphere was filled with a sense of “???” which made it quite awkward.

Tour Company: They are just replying with template responses to experience posts, so I don’t think there will be any dramatic improvements in the future. They write things like “to strengthen customer service,” but I doubt it will get better.

Sunset: It looks great for photos from the ship. I think it’s better to take proper shots with a DSLR or something similar.

Fireworks: It’s nice that you can see them from the ship. Since people start reserving spots fairly early, it’s better to secure a place for the fireworks rather than watching the meal or show.

Overall: If you’re going to spend this much, I think it’s better to choose another restaurant or upgrade your hotel. Unless you absolutely want to see the fireworks from the ship, I don’t think it’s worth participating, especially on a trip to Hawaii.

ツアー会社:体験談の投稿に関して定型文で返信してるだけなので今後劇的に改善されることは無いと思います。「カスタマーサービス強化のための〜」とか書いてありますが、まあ良くなることは無いでしょう。
サンセット:船上から見るので写真映えはします。一眼レフなどでしっかり撮影した方が良いと思います。
花火:船上から見られるのでそこは良いと思います。ある程度早い時間から場所取りが始まるので食事やショーを観るくらいなら花火を観るための場所取りをして待機しておくくらいの方が良いと思います。
総評:この値段を出すくらいなら他のレストランを選ぶことや宿泊ホテルのグレードを上げる方が良いと思います。絶対に船上からの花火を観たいという人以外はせっかくのハワイ旅行ですので参加するべきでは無いと思います。

The tour with our guide Susumu and driver Mahia was bright and fun! The meeting time was strictly adhered to, and we never experienced any delays in departure. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sea turtles due to nature's unpredictability, which was disappointing. Nevertheless, it was a gourmet-filled tour from the moment we got on the bus until we got off! We enjoyed a day's worth of Hawaiian cuisine! For those considering participating, please join without having breakfast. There are various reviews out there, but in my personal opinion, the tour's success depends not just on the guide but also on the participants finding joy in the experience, which can lead to a wonderful journey!

From the greetings to fireworks everything was on point. The food was delicious and the wait staff was impeccable. The live jazz music was great. I recommend you get the luxury experience with all the options. We enjoyed the 5 star treatment. It was classy and sophisticated. This will be a very memorable experience.

The staff's service was very good! The food was a bit off for Japanese people, and the only thing I liked was the fruit; the rest didn't suit my taste!

The fireworks were farther away than I expected, and I thought it would be nice to see them from the beach! I wouldn't recommend making a reservation if there were no fireworks!

This was my second time attending, after participating before the pandemic. Previously, there was a dance at the end where all the participants joined in. That was fun in its own way, but this time, the final hula dance show was also great. I happened to have a seat right in front of the main stage, so I was able to enjoy the best show up close.

The plan with transportation to the hotel was reassuring. We were able to see a beautiful sunset and took many great photos. The hula show was wonderful, and I was a bit surprised that the ladies serving drinks also participated in the show.
