This is a cozy tour guided by the friendly couple, Dan and Chieko. We participated as a group of five, from my 64-year-old mother-in-law down to our 7-year-old son. There was also another family of four, making a total of nine people on the tour. From the moment we were picked up to the time we were dropped off, we felt their constant care and attention. During the main snorkeling activity, the experienced guides ensured that everyone in the group had a great time, and they especially stayed close to my mother-in-law, allowing her to enjoy snorkeling with peace of mind. Although we didn't encounter any turtles, the hospitality we experienced made this tour feel worth more than the price we paid. I believe that snorkeling can vary depending on the weather and time of day, so you might not see everything you hope for, but I think it's worth participating.

　上は６４歳の妻の母から下は７歳の息子まで５人で参加しました。他には家族４人で参加しているグループと計９人でのツアーでした。迎えの車の中から帰りの送迎の間まで常に私たちに心遣いをしてくれていることが感じられるツアーでした。メインのシュノーケリングではベテランガイドらしくグループのすべての人たちが楽しめるよう気遣っていただき、特に妻の母にはほぼつきっきりでいてくださり安心してシュノーケリングを楽しむことができました。カメに合うことはできませんでしたが、おもてなしの心遣いが感じられることで、値段以上の価値を感じられるツアーです。シュノーケリングは天候や時間帯により見えるものは違うので思ったものが見えない可能性はあると、思いますが参加して損はないと思います。

The weather was a mix of sunny and cloudy... Our first trip to Hawaii! Leaving our eldest and second daughter in Japan, it was a trip for just the four of us: Dad, Mom, our eldest son, and our youngest daughter.

Being a sporty family, we first got hooked on beach volleyball, and while Dad took photos, there was a flurry of high-fives between us! The hamburgers for lunch were delicious—though we tried to recreate them at home and were disappointed that they didn't taste the same.

Seeing sea turtles up close had our high school senior son and middle school junior daughter in a frenzy! This two-shot at the beach was also refreshing!

Dad and Mom are determined to live long lives! We definitely want to go back again. Nature is amazing. The only downside was that the round-trip bus took way too long to arrive.

We boarded a large bus at the Sheraton Waikiki bus center and set off. As expected from a popular tour, the bus was nearly full. It was a comfortable ride towards Kaneohe. Since it was early in the morning, I thought I would try to sleep, but I found myself captivated by the beautiful scenery outside the window until we arrived. We then boarded a nearly motionless boat from the port and set off. On the way to the sandbar, we enjoyed some sea turtle watching. The turtles peeked their heads out from the beautiful emerald green sea, and each time, there were cheers of excitement.

Upon arriving at the sandbar, we took a stroll towards it with our cameras in hand. Everyone enjoyed taking photos, and after a while, we returned to the boat to drop off our cameras and put on our snorkeling gear to head back to the sandbar. We had a great time snorkeling there.

After encountering many fish, we returned to the boat, where delicious sandwiches and drinks were waiting for us. The boat smoothly made its way to Kaneohe Bay.

I truly had a wonderful time in the beautiful sea. Thank you very much.

We went as a family of four, including two elementary school children.

The water level at the sandbar was just below waist height. Honestly, I was quite disappointed because I had imagined the sand would be more exposed. That said, the weather was nice, and the clear water and white sand were beautiful.

After returning home, I did some research and found that various conditions are needed for the sand to be exposed, so it seems to depend on luck and timing. I feel there should be a bit more communication that it’s not guaranteed the sand will be visible!

The BBQ lunch consisted of hamburgers made with patties grilled on the boat. It might be clearer to call it a BBQ hamburger. There was quite a line, so it took a long time, but that’s understandable. We were able to see 2-3 sea turtles during the sea turtle watch, and the kids were satisfied. It was unfortunate that it started to drizzle during snorkeling, and the water became dim. After getting out of the water, it was so cold that I recommend bringing a change of clothes.

Since the rain intensified, I wonder if we returned to the dock early... We were unsure which bus to take and whether any buses were even coming. There was no one to explain, so we had to ask all the drivers. In the end, we had to wait about 20 minutes for the shuttle bus to arrive. It was quite comical to see everyone wandering around in the light rain without umbrellas. I think everyone would feel more at ease if they could come to pick us up with a bit more time to spare. Therefore, I give it ★★★.

行列になっていたのでかなり時間がかかりましたがこれは仕方ないですね。
海ガメウオッチは２～３頭見ることが出来子供たちも満足していました。
シュノーケリングの頃から小雨が降り出し、海面も薄暗くなってしまったのは残念でした。
海から上がった後は震える程寒く、着替えを持参することをお勧めします。

雨も激しくなってきたので早めに岸壁に戻ったのでしょうか…。
どのバスに乗るのか…そもそもバスが来ているのか…
説明してくれる人も居らず、全てのドライバーさんに聞いて周りました。
結局は迎えのバスが来るまで２０分ほど時間がありました。
誰も傘を持っていない中、戸外で小雨に濡れながら全員が右往左往している姿はまさに滑稽でした。
余裕をもってお迎えに来てもらえると皆安心出来ると思います。
よって、★三つです。

I wasn't sure what a sandbar was, but I participated anyway. It was a wonderful place. I was able to see a lot of sea turtles, and snorkeling was fun. It felt like I was in an aquarium with so many fish around. The hamburger that was prepared when I got hungry was also delicious.

My long-awaited visit to Hanauma Bay. We were blessed with beautiful weather, and the sunlight streaming into the water made it incredibly clear. There were so many fish swimming around. All that was left was to encounter a honu (sea turtle), but unfortunately, we missed out on that.

From the hotel pickup, everything went smoothly thanks to Chieko-san's assistance. If we had gone on our own, I think we would have struggled with the entry process, watching the pre-entrance video, and taking the tram. Most importantly, the guide adjusted the course based on the participants' conditions. The hour flew by.

Even with my 50-year-old stamina, I managed to last the hour. For my daughter, who has swimming experience (6th grade), it was a piece of cake. However, the father of the American family accompanying us seemed to lack stamina and got out shortly after we started snorkeling.

After we finished, they provided water and snacks, and I was very grateful for their thoughtful attention. The male guide leading us took many photos for us. It’s okay if you don’t have an underwater camera; you can download the photos later, so you can keep those memories.

We participated as a group of 12 people, including six children (three aged 5 and three elementary school students) and six adults from three families. Our family used this service for the second consecutive year! Due to the large number of participants, we split into two boats: one with mostly Japanese passengers and the other with a mix of foreigners and a few Japanese. Based on the children's request, we boarded the boat with more foreigners. However, there were also Japanese guides, and the announcements were made separately for Japanese and foreigners, with us receiving information in Japanese.

We departed from the hotel at 9:00 AM, and thanks to the good timing of the tides, there were spots at the sandbar where the 5-year-olds could stand, and they had a great time with the floaties. The adults set up a court with poles right there, and we played beach volleyball. During the sea turtle watching, we spotted several turtles, and those who entered the water early encountered a large resting turtle very close to the entry point! It seemed to swim away after some noise, so those who entered later missed it, but those who saw it were lucky. We were able to float and observe the turtle for several minutes right above it! It might be better to prepare for snorkeling early to increase your chances. They also provided free rental vests, fins, and snorkels for the kids, which was convenient.

We brought our own floaties, but there were also several floating tubes available on the boat that we used (the 5-year-old was taken with a floatie, vest, and floating tube to see the sea turtles). During snorkeling, there were areas with a depth of several meters, and since it was all coral, there were no areas where you could stand. The distance from the boat to the coral area where the turtles were was about 10 meters, so as long as the children are not afraid of deep water, they should be fine. There were also many beautiful small fish. I think it would be better to change clothes before getting on the return bus since it can be cold. We brought one rental beach towel for each child from the hotel, which was a good decision. The hamburgers for lunch were delicious! The beer we had on the boat after swimming (additional charge, settled upon disembarking) was also excellent. 5-10才までの子ども６人（５才３人小学生３人）、大人６人計３家族１２人のグループで参加しました。小生家族は昨年に続き２年連続の利用です！人数が多かったため日本人ばかりの船と、外国人＋日本人少しの船に別れ、子どものリクエスト！により外人が多い方に乗船しました。といっても、ガイドは日本人の方もいて、途中案内は日本人外人別々に、我々には日本語で行って頂けました。朝9:00ホテル発でしたが潮のタイミングが良く、サンドバーでは５才の子ども達も立つことが出来るような場所もあり、浮き輪で充分楽しめました。大人はその場でポールを立ててコートを作ってくれたので、ビーチバレーで遊びました。ウミガメウオッチでは何匹かのカメを発見、シュノーケリングでは早くに海に入った人が、エントリーポイントすぐ近くにいたかなりでかいお休み中のカメに遭遇！途中で騒がしかったのか泳いで行ってしまい、後から入った人は見れませんでしたが見れた人はラッキーでした。数分間は休んでいるカメの真上でぷかぷか浮きながら観察できました！早めにシュノーケリングの準備をして入った方がチャンスがあるのかも。子供用のベスト、フィン、シュノーケルも無料で貸して頂けたので便利でした。浮き輪も持参しましたが、浮き輪代わりの浮くチューブは何本も船に用意してありそれも利用しました（５才児は浮き輪＋ベスト＋浮くチューブで連れて行きウミガメを見せることができました。シュノーケリングの時は水深数メートルのところもある上、サンゴばかりで立つことが出来るエリアはありません。船からサンゴエリア・ウミガメのいたところまで10mほどでしたので、水と深いのが怖くなければ子どもも大丈夫だと思います。きれいな小さな魚もたくさんいました）。帰りのバスは寒いので着替えてから乗車した方が良いと思います。ホテルのプール用のレンタルバスタオルを子どもの分も１人１枚持参しましたが正解でした。昼食のハンバーガーは美味しかったです！泳ぎ終わった後、船の上で飲んだビール（別料金、下船時に精算）も最高でした。２年続けて同じツアーを利用しましたがハワイらしさを感じることができ、充分満足でした！

Although it was supposed to be a Japanese guide, the bus from the pickup point to the destination was entirely in English with a foreign guide. Moreover, the guide spoke loudly in English, continuously rambling about things that made no sense, which was not only noisy but also very unpleasant. On the return bus, unfortunately, it was the same foreign guide, and there was no proper explanation or guidance, leaving some people confused about which bus to take.

I participated in the morning session with three friends. Most of the other participants were Japanese as well.

On the boat, there were thorough explanations about the direction to see sea turtles and how to snorkel at the sandbar, making it a fun experience that exceeded the cost of the tour. If the timing is right, it seems the sandbar also appears above the water's surface, so I think it's worth experiencing at least once if you go to Oahu.

Exactly what was expected. Very Very Helpful, warm couple as guides and instructors.
This was a great experience ... plenty of time to accomplish the instruction portion and allow the participants to enjoy the experience. Swimming was fun and a real experience to interact with beauty of the Pacific Ocean and its inhabitants.
Look forward to scheduling with this company again.

Hanauma Bay was very beautiful! Dan and Chieko were friendly and easy to talk to, and they provided very thorough explanations for snorkeling! The equipment we borrowed was also clean, which made us feel safe. The fish were colorful and we could see them up close; although we didn't see any turtles, we did get to see a very large moray eel, which was fun! I didn't bring an underwater camera, but I was very happy to receive the photos Dan took from Facebook as a nice service! When I go to Hawaii again, I want to visit Hanauma Bay! The first tour of the day was fully booked (due to low tide), so I joined the lunch and snorkeling package. The sandbar had water up to my knees, which was nice for a while. The snorkeling afterwards was even better than I expected, as I got to enjoy a variety of fish and even saw a sea turtle, which was amazing.

Too overcrowded and dirty.

Too many people snorkeling in the same area, the snorkeling spot was horrible, not too many tropical fish and the water was murky. Definitely not what they advertise. Bathrooms were old and dirty and the smell was pretty bad. On the other hand, sandbar was good and the staff was friendly but we would not recommend this snorkeling tour to anybody.
