VERY COOL TOUR!!
Reviewed by: Luis, 2024/04/24This was such an awesome tour! This was my first time visiting Hawaii and this tour made it so much more special and memorable! I got to see so much marine life. I got to see a lot of sea turtles, fish, starfish, sea urchins, and even a seal lion. Robert and Andrew are amazing tour guides. They're very helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely do this tour again when I come back to visit. I highly recommend this tour! You won't be disappointed!
I do recomend you bring a snorkel mask that has a GoPro mount on it so you can have your own videos.

Waikiki's Most Affordable Turtle Snorkel Boat Tour - Mana Kai Catamaran
Awesome tour!!
Reviewed by: Luis, 2024/04/24This was a very cool tour! This was my friends and I first time visiting Hawaii and this tour made it very memorable for us! It was a lot of fun sitting on the net and getting splashed by the waves. The staff was super friendly and amazing. We got to see sea turtles and other marine life. Only downside is that there are other tour boats in the same location. So there's about a hundred people snorkeling in the water and it gets crowded super fast. People bumping and pushing each other or kicking each other in the water. Kinda felt like the scene in titanic lol. Other than that, it was a very cool tour! I'll definitely do it again when I plan my next trip!
I also recomend you bring a GoPro camera to take videos and photos.

- Available bins to store your items once on their boat [useful as a family member nearly dropped their phone overboard within seconds of sitting down]
- Included spam musubi and soft drinks
- PRESCRIPTION/Rx snorkeling gear [lifesaver as contacts are not an option while swimming and this is an amazing option that I never knew existed]
- Charismatic and protective crew [they keep the mood light and ensure you are well taken care of]
What I could change:
- Weather [though out of their control a lil extra sun wouldn't have hurt outside of a potentially bad sunburn]
Would I recommend this to others? Absolutely! I have already shared my positive experience with my extended family.

With the bay...
Fish weren't as plentiful as the pictures...by a long shot.
Perhaps planning on being there at high tide would help with making the space easier to snorkel.
Interesting process getting into the bay.
Great friendly service from the crew we booked with helping us manage these processes at the bay.
Food and drink options there are slim and no where to sit and eat them as you wait for transport back.

It was okay
Reviewed by: MJL, 2024/04/23The tour guide on the drive out was great, very friendly. Gear worked well and was clean. We got chairs and an umbrella which was really nice since we were there a while. I didn’t love the actual bay, however. The snorkeling was only okay and we didn’t see nearly as many types of fish as I would have expected for a place boosting great snorkeling. I have been to better. The reef was also super shallow so hard to navigate around the sections safely without touching the coral. It also was very sandy so the view wasn’t clear. Overall I would not pick this activity again just since the snorkeling wasn’t great. However, the driver and equipment was great so I didn’t want to knock their rating down just because the experience wasn’t amazing.

Once in a lifetime experience

Anthony, the captain, was personable and informative. He was happy to answer a LOT of questions, and provided insight into Hawaiian culture throughout the experience. When it came time to enter the water, Claire was an outstanding guide. She ensured that the kids (10 & 12) felt confident with the unfamiliar snorkeling equipment, and took the time to locate and identify a variety of sea life. The crew made this a memorable experience for our entire family, and we highly recommend this experience for visitors to Oahu.

Excellent choice

We learned a lot about the history of the sandbar as well as got to enjoy the water and sandbar area. We got lucky with the weather since it rained earlier in the day. The provided snacks and musubis were excellent. We were sad when it ended, but brought back many memories.

Excellent Snorkel experience

They were punctual, the equipment was in good condition. Turtle Canyon has turtles, but lots of other tour boats. They were very situationally aware which kept us safe. We also got some bonus dolphin activity on the way out and back. Two thumbs up.

Excellent crew, live music and a beautiful setting
Reviewed by: Jess from CA, 2024/04/20This was such a a fun time! The crew and musicians are what made it so good. They all exude the aloha spirit. The live music was such a a treat, they had really good rapport with our group and were so fun, and talented too. The crew was so wonderful and so nice.
The bay itself is a treasure, so so beautiful. The water is gorgeous, the mountains are stunning. They provide paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear, and volleyballs.
And the crew is very helpful with all of the gear and how to.use.it. I would recommend it!

Everyone was nice and funny!

The boat is great and overall really cool. I brought a 4 and 1 year old. We saw at least 4 sea turtles and they showed us star fish. I will go again.

Highly recommend, kid and family friendly.

The boat was very nice as well lots of seating and a restroom on it. Lunch was good burgers were tasty overall the only down fall was no cold water after the first like 15 min. So I would suggest bringing and insulated bottle thats filled. Would for sure recommend and do it again!

Great Time with the Family

One of the staff had a speed boat and took our family out for a cruise to look for sea turtles. We got to see a huge turtle swimming out in the ocean and it was definitely a highlight for our trip.

日本語の対応のスタッフが、たまたまいて対応してくれたので、説明も分かりやすかったです
ヘルメット装着の際は、1度海に潜ってヘルメット被る形になり、後はインストラクターが1人ずつついているので、スクーターも動かしてくれるし、何もやらなくて良かったです。
小さいお子様は少し難しいかもしれません
お魚さんと至近距離で触れ合えて、とても楽しかったです
写真も動画もとってくれて、後で購入する形です
集合場所まで、行きは、ホテルからタクシーで向かったが、帰りがタクシーがつかまらないような場所なので、Uberを呼びました。
周りにレストランやカフェもあるので、お昼も食べれます

引き潮ではなかったので、幻想的なサンドバーではありませんでしたが、supやボート、シュノーケリングで十分楽しめました。
帰りの船では寒さを感じたのですが、バスタオルを多めに持参してたので凌げました。

Such a fun day!
Reviewed by: Jen F., 2024/04/13 This was by far the best cruise excursion I have ever participated in, and I’ve done quite a few on Oahu.
Pickup was well organized and on time. The ride out to the boat was pleasant.
The crew in itself felt like family. They were the nicest people, very welcoming and knowledgeable.
Captain even jumped in the water with the kids and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Bbq lunch was great.
We saw manta rays and turtles that came right up to the boat,it was a really wonderful day and I can’t tell them thank you enough.
I will absolutely book this again next time we visit.

あまりにも綺麗な海でしたので、もっと長時間シュノーケリングしたかった！というのも同時に思いました。
安全/安心を考慮するとツアー参加でもちろん良いと思いますが、泳ぎ・体力にも自信あり、ハナウマ湾のルールを事前に確認されている方であれば、長時間のツアーや個人での参加も視野に入れて良いかと思いました

I appreciated knowing that we were in good hands and they made sure we were all safe while having a great time! Very knowledgeable, personable and helpful Guide. We had an amazing time and Checked snorkeling off our bucket list. It was an easy and fun way to experience this as we were picked up and dropped off from our hotel and everything we needed was supplied.

Friendly crew and so much marine life

The crew were such a pleasure to be around every one of them was nice, knowledgeable and friendly. The boat was small but that was the best part because then we had a much more intimate experience and were able to feel comfortable with our crew(not hard they were all so nice). We were out for over an hour but could hang out on the boat and reenter the water whenever we felt like. The boat had a nylon strap front you could sit on and get wet which we did on our way back to shore after the snorkeling. It was a great relaxing and fun time. Definitely would recommend this company because the price is great, the crew was amazing and the trip was not overly packed.

This is a must do activity while you are in Oahu. I think this is the #1 reason to visit Oahu so don’t miss out!!!
Reviewed by: Anniversary couple , 2024/04/12KBOS was an amazing company to book with. We paid for the transportation, but if you plan to rent a car I would skip that part. It is a little tour bus and there are no bathrooms and no easy way to stop for restrooms. Just take your own car if you have one.
The experience itself was spectacular! The entire crew was super nice and went out of their way to make sure everyone had a good time.
The boat is huge- it is the largest boat at the end of the harbor area- you can’t miss it.
It has big tables with benches. Plenty of room for everyone. There are bathrooms on the boat and a room to change in. bring a towel with you if you think you might get cold. We went in bathing suits only and it was fine. A little chilly on the ride back in to shore, but not bad.
We paid for all the activities in advance and it was worth every penny. The banana boat ride was fun. I’m extremely overweight and I was still able to do the banana boat ride. They held the banana boat so I could easily get on and off.
The sandbar is beautiful! It is a must do experience and we loved it.
I would recommend water shoes, but some people didn’t have any and seemed to be fine.
The captain let us go up top and took a picture for us. Great view and perfect pic opportunity.
You can snorkel if you want- they have everything on the boat. We saw fish without snorkeling.
There is some music they play and it is really a nice way to spend some time. It is just the perfect amount of time to be out there too. Just enough time to do all the activities and enjoy the experience.
Bring snacks or drinks on the boat if you want. You can leave your bag and valuables right on the boat where you were seated. It seems super safe.
There is a little store at the harbor just before you get in the boat that sells alcohol and sunscreen and other items you may want.
The crew was super friendly and really tried to make it fun and make you feel welcome.
Bring tip money for the crew and for the band.

They are fun, engaging and knowledgable. We had a blast the entire day. Lunch was really good and we had a very enjoyable time!
