★Reasons for a 3-star rating
This is a type where you wrap something around your waist instead of wearing a life jacket. It can be dangerous for elementary school children who lack swimming skills. In fact, children and elderly individuals returned to the boat early. After the tour, I translated the English waiver I signed on-site, which stated that participants should be skilled swimmers.
This is not suitable for children, those who are not good at swimming, or people who are afraid of deep water.

Just when I was feeling disappointed, a sea turtle came close to the boat, and I was thrilled to see it up close. My husband and son seemed to have a great time snorkeling and watching the sea turtle. After that, we enjoyed a long sailing time taking in the scenery, and it seemed like we were looking for whales. We were able to see a whale in the distance, which got the whole family very excited.
I had planned to make a separate reservation for whale watching, but I canceled that and was able to schedule something else, which turned out well.

Sailing was a great experience.

ライフジャケットではなく浮くものを腰に巻き付けるタイプです。小学生のお子さんは泳力がないと危険です。実際、子供や高齢の方は早めにボートに戻っておりました。その場でサインした英語の免責書をツアーが終わってから翻訳したところ熟練した泳ぎができる人の参加とのこと書いてありました。
子供や泳ぎが苦手な人、深い海が怖い人には向きません。

残念だなと思っていたところ、ウミガメが船に近づいてきてくれてしっかり見る事ができて喜びました。主人と息子はシュノーケルでしっかりウミガメ見れたようです。その後、セーリングの時間が長く景色を楽しんでいたあと、どうやらクジラを探しているようで、遠目にですがクジラまで見る事ができ家族みんな大興奮でした。
ホエールウォッチングも別に予約するつもりでしたがそちらはキャンセルし、別の予定を入れられたので良かったです。

セーリングは良い体験でした。

Our weather want great but they still made sure we had a fantastic time. Highly recommend

This is by far the best adventure we had on our vacation in Honolulu. An experience underwater with the aquatic life was truly one of a kind. We will do this again when we return next season.

On the day I arrived in Honolulu, the weather was bad and cold the next day, and I ended up catching a cold. I thought it would be impossible to go into the ocean in such cold weather, so I immediately contacted the tour company. However, they told me that since it was just three days prior, there would be a 100% cancellation fee. Reluctantly, I went anyway, but it was very cold, and I ended up just waiting inside the boat for my companions. Many other people also didn't go into the ocean because of the cold, so I really think this tour should be avoided depending on the season. No matter the reason, having a 100% cancellation fee three days before is quite harsh.

今回ホノルル到着日、翌日とお天気悪く寒くて風邪をひいてしまいました。
これでは寒い中海に入るのは無理と思い、直ぐにツアー会社に連絡をしましたが、丁度3日前でキャンセル料が100%かかると言われ、仕方なく無理して行きましたが、とても寒くやはり船の中で連れを待っているだけで終わってしまいました。
他にもたくさんの人が寒くて海には入っていなかったので、
このツアーは時期によってはやめた方がいいとつくづく思いました。
どんな理由でも、キャンセル料が3日前で100%と言うのもかなりきついです。

I participated in a dolphin watching and snorkeling tour. Overall, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the views of the sea and mountains were beautiful, which really lifted my spirits during the trip. Although I couldn't swim with the dolphins this time, I was lucky to see them up close, and it was said that encountering two different species of dolphins is quite rare (about once in ten times). The sight of the dolphins surfing on the waves created by the boat was also impressive.

During snorkeling, I was able to see many sea turtles and schools of fish, which made me very satisfied. The underwater world was more lively than I had imagined, and time flew by. The sandwiches for lunch and the potato chips for snacks were delicious and added a nice touch to the experience.

Among the participants, we were the only Japanese, but Ken provided interpretation and support, making the trivia and explanations easy to understand, which allowed us to enjoy the tour with peace of mind.

One point to note is that the air conditioning on the bus was quite strong, making it very cold, and I noticed several people around me wrapped in beach towels. I also used a beach towel to keep warm, so I think having something to wear would be reassuring. Additionally, after coming out of the water, I felt quite cold, so a jacket is essential. It was mentioned that the boat can sway quite a bit on certain days, so having motion sickness medication ready would also be a good idea.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable and memorable tour.

イルカウォッチング＆シュノーケルに参加しました。全体的に雰囲気がとてもよく、海と山の眺めもきれいで、移動中から気分が上がりました。今回はイルカと一緒に泳ぐことはできませんでしたが、船のすぐ近くでイルカを見ることができ、さらに2種類のイルカに出会えたのはとてもラッキーだったそうです（見られるのは10回に1回くらいとのこと）。イルカが船の波で楽しそうにサーフィンしている姿も印象的でした。

シュノーケリングでは、たくさんの海亀や魚の大群を見ることができて大満足。海の中は想像以上ににぎやかで、時間があっという間に感じました。ランチのサンドイッチやおやつのポテトチップスも美味しく、ちょっとした楽しみになりました。

参加者の中で日本人は私たちだけでしたが、Kenさんが通訳やフォローをしてくれて、豆知識や説明も分かりやすく、安心して楽しむことができました。

一点だけ、行きのバスがかなり冷房が効いていてとても寒く、周りでもバスタオルをかぶっている人が何人かいました。私もバスタオルで寒さをしのいだので、羽織れるものがあると安心だと思います。また、海から上がった後もかなり体が冷えるので上着は必須です。日によっては揺れが強いこともあるそうなので、酔い止めも用意しておくと安心だと思います。

全体として、とても楽しく思い出に残るツアーでした。

I participated with my 85-year-old mother and daughter, making it a three-generation family outing. The seawater at the sandbar was unexpectedly cold, and my mother decided to wait on the boat instead of going in. However, thanks to the very attentive staff's support, she was able to enter the water, and we had a wonderful experience riding on a SUP together.

Surrounded by magnificent scenery, we spent meaningful time in the crystal-clear sea, and I am very satisfied with the experience. It has become a great memory for us. There was also a live performance on the boat heading to the sandbar, and listening to music while enjoying the breathtaking views was the best feeling.

One issue I encountered was that I wished the meeting point had been indicated with a map in the email. The email stated that the meeting point was Kalakaua Avenue, but in reality, it was Paoakalani Avenue. When the bus didn’t arrive on time, I tried to check the email for confirmation, but I couldn’t access it without logging in. Since I was in a hurry, it took me a while to find my ID and password, which was quite troublesome. I managed to call and get assistance, so I was able to catch the bus, but I was a bit late and ended up inconveniencing those who were already on board.

85歳の母と娘と３世代家族で参加しました。サンドバーの海水が予想外に冷たく、母は海に入ることを諦め船で待っていましたが、とても親身なスタッフのサポートのおかげで海に入ることができ、娘とSUPに乗ったりと素晴らしい体験ができました。
壮大な景色に包まれ、透き通る海の中で有意義な時間を過ごすことができとても満足しています。とても良い思い出になりました。
サンドバーに向かうまでの船の中でもライブパフォーマンスがあり音楽を聴きながら絶景を見れ最高な気分でした。

一つ困ったことと言えば、待ち合わせ場所をメール内で地図等で示して欲しかったです。送られてきたメールには待ち合わせ場所はKalakaua Avenueと書かれていましたが、実際はパオアカラニ アベニューでした。時間になってもバスが来なかったので送られて来ていたメールで確認しようとしたら、ログインしないと確認できず、急いでいたのでIDやパスワードを調べるのに時間かかって大変困りました。電話をかけ対応していただけたので何とかバスに乗れましたが、少し遅れてしまい既にバスに乗車していた方々に迷惑をかけてしまいました。

I was really looking forward to snorkeling at Hanauma since it had the highest ratings, but I found that other places in Hawaii had more abundant fish and coral. The weather was sunny, and there was a bit of wind, but the visibility was only about 3 meters, and the coral close to the beach was almost dead. I thought, "Well, if tourists come here every day, this is what happens." I apologize for my honest opinion, but the water in Izu, Japan, is much clearer.

ハナウマが1番評価高かったので、シュノーケリング楽しみにしてましたが、同じハワイの他の場所の方が魚やサンゴが豊富でした。
天気も晴れて、少し風はあったのですが、3Mも視界はなくて、サンゴも砂浜から近い場所はほぼ死んでいたので「そりゃ、観光客がこんな毎日来たらこうなるよな」と思いました。
正直な感想でごめんなさい。日本の伊豆の海の方が全然透明度高いです。

We participated as a family of three, and instructors Chie and Dan provided a lot of thoughtful care, allowing us to enjoy snorkeling safely and comfortably. Thank you very much. It was great to see a sea turtle as well. The wetsuits had good buoyancy, making it easy to enjoy.

家族３人で参加、インストラクターのちえさん、ダンさん、沢山の気配りをして頂き、安心、安全にシュノーケリングを楽しめました。ありがとうございます。ウミガメにも会えて、良かったです。ウエットスーツは浮力があり、楽でした。

I wanted to go snorkeling in Hawaii, so I joined this tour. It was great that we could watch a video on the bus, allowing us to smoothly enter without waiting once we arrived. If you're traveling alone and find it difficult to make reservations, or if you won't be using a rental car during your stay, I recommend participating in this tour. There were Japanese staff members at the meeting point and after we arrived at the location, so I think it's easy for those who are not confident in their English to join. The snorkeling was wonderful, and I was able to enjoy the very clear ocean. There were many fish among the coral reefs on the left side!

ハワイでシュノーケリングがしたく、こちらのツアーに参加させていただきました。
バスの中で映像を見るので、着いてから待つことなくスムーズに中に入れたことが良かったです。
個人だと予約が取りにくいことや、滞在中レンタカーを使わない場合はこちらのツアーに参加されることをオススメします。
待ち合わせ場所や、現地に着いた後も日本人のスタッフの方がいらっしゃったので英語が苦手な方でも参加しやすいと思います。
シュノーケリングもとても透明感のある海でできてよかったです。左側の珊瑚礁の中には魚が沢山いました！

I participated in February 2026.

For the pickup, there was someone who understood Japanese, which made the check-in process smooth. The bus was a large tour bus with a clean interior. The video was in English, but there were Japanese materials available, which was helpful. Inside the bus, I received a wristband and entered under the guidance of the tour guide.

Since it was right after a state of emergency due to bad weather, I made the reservation at the last minute. The water was somewhat murky. Additionally, since it was a plan without a guide on the beach, I was a bit worried about whether I would see any fish, but it was more than enough! It was a lot of fun and became a precious memory!

I heard that making a reservation for entry on your own can be quite difficult, so choosing this plan with tickets was definitely the right decision!

2026年2月に参加しました。


行きのお迎えは、日本語のわかる方がいらっしゃってスムーズに受付することができました。
バスは大型の観光バスで清潔な車内でした。
ビデオは英語でしたが、日本語の資料があり助かりました。
バスの中で、リストバンドを受け取りガイドさんの案内のもと入場しました。

緊急事態宣言の悪天候の後だったので、直前に予約しました。水中は多少濁っていました。
また、ビーチ内のガイドのないプランだったので、魚が見れるか不安もありましたが十分でした！
とっても楽しく、貴重な思い出になりました！　

入場予約を自力でとるのは大変らしいので、チケット付きのこちらのプランで大正解でした！

スタッフ対応は良かったけれど、肝心のウミガメに出会う事はほぼあり得ないと感じました。
場所も湾と言うよりは街並み岸からも近いし、海底も綺麗じゃない。餌付けで寄ってきた小魚がいるだけで集合した人間の数からもウミガメは近寄ってこない。
船上から行きで海面を泳いでいた小さなカメ、帰りに並走して泳いでいたイルカを見れたのが、せめてもの救いでした。
お勧めしません！

We had such an amazing experience on our Kaneohe Sandbar tour. The crew from start to finish was friendly and comforting. They made us feel right at home. Loved being able to purchase snacks and drinks on board. The snorkel experience was so intimate and way different than any other that I’ve done in Hawaii. We got one on one tips and knowledge on the sea life we were witnessing. The sandwich was delicious. I brought my two year old on this tour and she loved it and was able to experience a lot for her age group. 10/10!!!!!

Despite the declaration of a state of emergency and the bad weather, the event went ahead. I inquired via email the day before, and I was very grateful for the prompt response in Japanese.

Due to the rain and wind, and the low water temperature, we got out of the sea after an hour. After that, we enjoyed a pleasant time with live music. The staff were very polite, and we had a great time.

It was a pity that we couldn't see the color of the sea well under the blue sky, but they circled the bay on the way back, so we were able to fully appreciate the atmosphere. Although it was cold and windy, there were many fish in the water, and I was glad to have participated. Thank you very much! 😊

緊急事態宣言が出された中、悪天候でしたが催行されました。前日にメールで問い合わせさせていただきましたが、すぐに日本語でお返事をくださったので大変助かりました。

雨風の中、水温も低かったので1時間で海からあがりました。そのあとは生演奏の音楽の中、心地よく過ごしました。
スタッフの方はとても丁寧で楽しく過ごせました。
青空の下で海の色がよく見えなかったのが残念でしたが、引き上げるときに湾を周回して戻ってくれたので雰囲気は十分に感じ取れました。
雨風が強く肌寒かったですが、水の中はたくさんの魚がいて、参加できて良かったと思いました。

Weather was bad - cold and windy, not something controllable. (Although given such wind and low temperature , it might have been ethical for the tour to cancel itself.) But 1) the bus had all of the boat waiting after the trip for about 30 minutes, 2) there wasn’t a sufficient wind shelter for everyone, meaning old ppl and babies were exposed to cold wind. The lunch was also meh - bbq is an overstatement for hamburger patties and buns. Crew was friendly.

The dolphin tour was amazing! ❣️

Captain Jason was full of energy from the start, and I couldn't contain my excitement at that point!

Before we set sail, we all sang the Hawaiian prayer song "E Ho Mai," which was a very moving moment that made us feel grateful for the ocean and nature.

Even if you don't understand English, you can feel at ease because the Japanese staff, Ken and Yuya, provide support in Japanese with great care. Additionally, for an extra $70, Yuya takes beautifully styled photos! I felt comfortable entrusting my travel memories to him.

The female staff member, Brooke, was also very attentive and wonderful.

This time, due to timing, I couldn't swim with the dolphins, but we encountered a few dolphins at first, and by the end, we saw dozens of dolphins and even a whale, which was incredibly moving!

It was an unforgettable experience where I could fully feel the greatness of nature and the warmth of Hawaii.

キャプテンのジェイソンさんが最初から元気いっぱいに説明してくださり、その時点でもうワクワクが止まりませんでした！

出航前には、ハワイの祈りの歌「エホウマイ」をみんなで歌い、海や自然への感謝を感じる時間にとても感動しました。

英語が分からなくても、日本人スタッフのケンさん、ゆうやさん達が丁寧に日本語でサポートしてくださるので安心。
さらに、写真は追加70ドルで、ゆうやさんがセンス良く素敵に撮影してくれます！旅の思い出を安心して任せられました。

女性スタッフのブルックさんもとても丁寧で素敵な方でした。

今回はタイミング的にイルカと一緒に泳ぐことはできませんでしたが、最初に数頭のイルカに出会い、最後には数十頭のイルカと、なんとクジラまで見ることができて大感動！

自然の偉大さとハワイの温かさを全身で感じられる、忘れられない体験になりました。

On February 13th, four women participated. We boarded Captain Jason's boat, with staff members Ken, Brooke, and the super camera guy Yuya! Everyone was energetic and cheerful, and we got on the boat in a fun mood. The weather was great that day, with calm waves, making for the best conditions.

As soon as we set sail, while we were saying the Ehomai prayer, three dolphins appeared, and our excitement was at its peak! Unfortunately, we couldn't swim with the dolphins afterward, but we were very satisfied to swim with sea turtles. On the way back, we were thrilled to see 30 dolphins and even a whale, making for a truly happy experience!

This is a tour I would definitely like to join again. Having Japanese staff members Ken and Yuya made me feel safe and comfortable participating. Thank you very much. I highly recommend it! AHOHA!

ジェイソン船長号で、スタッフはケンさん、ブルックさんとスーパーカメラのユウヤさん！
みなさん元気で明るくて、楽しい気分で船に乗り込みました。
その日はお天気で、波も少なく最高のコンディションとのこと。
出航してすぐに、エホマイのお祈りをしていると、三頭のイルカ登場でワクワク感MAX！
そのあと残念ながらイルカと泳ぐことはできませんでしたが、海亀と泳げて大満足でした。
帰りは30頭のイルカが現れてくれたり、クジラも登場してくれて、本当に幸せな体験ができました！
またぜひ参加したいツアーです。
日本人スタッフのケンさんとユウヤさんがいてくれて、安心して参加できました。

It was winter when I participated, but I enjoyed it because there was no wind. I recommend afternoon trips on cold days. The performance until we reached the shallow area was also great.

冬場の参加でしたが、風の無い分楽しめました。寒い日は午後からの便をおすすめします。浅瀬に着くまでの演奏も良かったです。

Absolutely amazing dive. Felt very safe. Would definitely do it again

On the morning of the event, a bus came to pick us up near the hotel, and we were able to get to the site without any inconvenience. There were Japanese staff members at the site, and we were able to enjoy ourselves from start to finish! We were able to see dolphins and sea turtles from the boat, and since the wind was strong and the waves were high, we ended up entering the sea at a different spot than usual. However, there were many fun activities available, such as a slide from the boat and stand-up paddleboarding, so we were able to have a great time throughout!

当日の朝、ホテルの近くまでバスが迎えに来てくださり、何も不自由なく
現場まで行けました。
現場には日本人のスタッフさんがおり、最初から最後まで楽しむことができました！
船からイルカやウミガメを見ることができましたし、風が強く波が高かったため
いつもと違うポイントで海に入ることになりましたが、船からの滑り台や、サップなど多くの遊べる環境が整っていたため、終始、楽しむことができました！

There was a captain who could speak Japanese, and he made the conversation very entertaining with jokes. I was very satisfied because we could see not only dolphins but also whales and turtles! The lunch was a buffet style and very delicious. The snorkeling was the same as in Japan!

日本語話せるキャプテン（船長さん）がいて、ジョークを交えて話してくれるのでとても面白かった。イルカだけでなく、クジラやカメも見ることができて大満足でした！
ランチもバイキング形式でとてもおいしかった。シュノーケルは日本と同じです！

I only did snorkeling and banana boating, but I was very satisfied! Most of the participants were Japanese, but there was a staff member who spoke Japanese well, so there were no communication issues! The live music was lovely, and the luxurious shuttle bus was a comfortable and pleasantly surprising point.

Since it was a tour, we only watched the educational video on the bus, and we were able to go to the beach without having to stand in long lines or wait after arriving. The trolley was also free and very smooth. It was the best!

ツアーだったので、教育ビデオもバスの中で見るだけで、到着してから長々と並んだり待ったりせずに、海に行けました。トローリーも無料で、とてもスムースでした。

I participated in a tour at Dolphin Middle School this time. I was anxious about snorkeling for the first time, but Ken, a Japanese guide, taught me carefully, which made me feel very secure participating! In fact, I was able to see a large group of dolphins about three times and even swim with them! It was a very satisfying tour!

今回イルカ中学でのツアーに参加しました。
初めてのシュノーケリングで不安でしたが日本人のケンさんが丁寧に教えてくださり、とても安心して参加できました！実際に、イルカの大群を3度程見ることができ、一緒に泳ぐことができました！大満足のツアーでした！

We weren’t impressed at all about the voyage you take to the sandbar . We literally just went backwards in the boat for 100 yards and we were there. The pictures make it seem as you travel a ways to a destination …. The music was awesome and so was the light skin Hawaiian 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽……. The crew was nice but for our party of 6 , we all agreed it was lame .

First of all, I was surprised by the speed of the high-speed boat! I'm glad I took motion sickness medication. In no time, we were out at sea, looking for the crew members. We also searched for them, using a flock of birds as a hint. I honestly felt anxious about whether we would find them, but as expected, we discovered a pod of dolphins!

Then, we anticipated the direction the dolphins were swimming and jumped off the boat at the right moment to swim with them. At first, I was scared, but it was so much fun. It was said to be a lucky day with an enormous group of dolphins. The water was truly amazing, both on the surface and below. This time, Ryuichi-san accompanied us and explained everything in Japanese, which made it very enjoyable. Thank you so much, Captain Steph, Koa, Katie, and Ryuichi-san. Unfortunately, due to the waves, we couldn't see any sea turtles, but I want to try again!

まずは、高速船のスピードにびっくり！
酔い止め飲んでてよかったぁ。
あっという間に沖にでて、クルーの皆さんがいるかを探します。
鳥の群れをヒントに私たちも探します。
ほんとに見つかるのかなぁって正直不安になりましたが、さすが！イルカの群れを発見！

そして、イルカの泳ぐ方向に先回りをしてイルカと泳げるタイミングで船から飛び込みます。
最初は怖かったけど、楽しかった。
ものすごい大群でラッキーだったそうです。
確かに水面と、底とめっちゃくちゃいました。
今回、りゅういちさんが私たちについてくれて
日本語で説明してくれたのでとても楽しめました。
キャプテンステフ、コア、ケイティ、そして、りゆういちさん、本当にありがとう。
波があったので、残念ながら海亀は見れませんでした。またリベンジしたいです。

The weather was great, making for an incredibly fun activity. I also tried stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and the waves were calm, so I was able to stand up and paddle right away. Being pulled at high speed on the bumper tube and banana boat had me laughing more than ever this year. I was also very satisfied to see sea turtles up close.

There are staff members who speak Japanese, and they provided donuts, juice, and water, so it was no problem even if I missed breakfast.

天気にも恵まれて最高に楽しいアクティビティとなりました。SUPにも挑戦しましたが、波も穏やかなのですぐに立って漕げるようになりました。
バンパーチューブとバナナボートで高速で引っ張って貰い今年一番笑いが止まりませんでした。
ウミガメも近距離で見れて大満足。

日本語を話せるスタッフもいますし、ドーナツとジュース、水も提供してくれるので朝ごはん間に合わなくても大丈夫でした

Friendly tour guides, excellent beach for snorkeling. All around good time.

The guide was very friendly and wonderful, and they took us snorkeling all around Hanauma Bay. However, considering the fee to enter the ocean, the water clarity was low, and there were only dull-colored fish, which was disappointing given my high expectations for snorkeling. It was the morning sea, after all... But the guide was amazing!

とてもフレンドリーで素敵なガイドさんで、ハナウマ湾をくまなく？シュノーケリングしてくれました。ただ、お金を払って入る海の割には透明度が低く、魚も地味な色の魚ばかりで、期待が大きかっただけにシュノーケリングは残念でした。朝いちの海なのに…。でも、ガイドさんは最高！でした。
