I heard that a wetsuit is essential for the ocean in Hawaii during winter, so I thought it would be convenient to have it included in the tour price without any additional fees. Since I was a beginner in both Hawaii and snorkeling, I hoped for a tour without needing to rent a wetsuit. We went at a leisurely pace and had an incredibly valuable experience, going to very deep spots. The kids seemed to be impressed as well, saying they were scared but excited to see the fish!

冬のハワイの海はウエットスーツ必須ですよ、とのことだったのでもう先にツアー料金に組み込んで頂き、追加料金の発生が無いと便利だなと思った。ハワイもシュノーケルも初心者だったため、ウエットスーツは頼まずツアー希望していた。ゆっくりペースでとても深いところまで行ったりしてすごく貴重な体験をした。子供達も印象的だったようで、怖かったけどお魚さん見れた！と興奮していた。

Since it was an English driver plan, there were more foreigners than Japanese participants, and all explanations were in English both on the bus and after arriving at Hanauma Bay. Although I barely understood English, I was able to confirm the final pickup location and time, so there were no issues. The driver was different for the outbound and return trips.

Perhaps because of the early pickup, we were likely the first to enter Hanauma Bay. Our return pickup was at 12:30 PM, so we had about five hours of free time at the beach after entering. It was nice that the weather was clear on the day we participated, but I think it would be quite cold if the weather were bad, especially after snorkeling.

I brought snacks with me, but there was a snack corner at the entrance, and when I went to buy more, I found out they only accepted card payments, so I ended up not being able to buy souvenirs or additional snacks. I brought cash for the entrance fee, but I was surprised to find that other places only accepted cards, so it would have been helpful to have that information listed in the items to bring.

Also, the snorkeling goggles that came with the rental kept coming off easily, so that was a downside, which is why I give it four stars. Hanauma Bay was wonderful, with plenty of colorful fish, and I had a lovely half-day there.

英語ドライバーのプランでしたので、参加の方も日本人より外国人の方が多くバスの中で説明も、ハナウマベイに着いてからも英語のみです
英語ほぼわからない私でしたが、最後のピックアップ場所と時間さえ確認できたので問題はありませんでした。運転手さんが行きと帰りで違います
早い時間のお迎えだったからか多分1番にハナウマベイに入れました
帰りのピックアップが12時30分でしたので入場してからしっかり５時間くらいビーチでのフリータイムがありました
私たちが参加した日は晴れていたのでよかったですが、もしも天気が悪い場合はシュノーケルしたあとなどはとても寒いと思います
食べ物などはお菓子など持参していったのですが入場口にスナックコーナーがあったので追加で買いに行ったら、カード決済のみだったため結局お土産も追加のスナックも買えませんでした
入場料は現金でもっていったのですが、まさかの他がカードのみとは知らなかったのでそのあたり持ち物に記載があるとありがたかったです
あとレンタルでついていたシュノーケルのゴーグルがすぐ取れてしまうものだったのでそこだけマイナスの☆4です
ハナウマベイやっぱり色とりどりの魚がたくさんいて素敵な半日が過ごせました

It felt just like the other reviews said.

It was more of a shuttle service to the hotel rather than a tour. Since it was completely in English, I think only those who can speak English would enjoy it. When we arrived at the entrance of Hanauma Bay, the guide left, and we had to buy our own tickets and were free to explore on our own. I thought the price was high considering it was just a shuttle service. I felt a bit reluctant to pay a tip on top of that.

There was also a place to rent snorkeling gear inside Hanauma Bay, so honestly, I think it would be best to rent a car and go there on your own.

Hanauma Bay itself was amazing, and I would love to go again if I have the chance! I highly recommend it!

ツアーというよりはホテルまでの送迎のみでした。完全英語対応だったので英語ができる方しか楽しめないと思います。
ハナウマ湾入口に着くとガイドは帰ってしまい自分でチケット購入し、自由行動という感じでした。
送迎のみの割には値段が高いと思いました。そこにチップを払うのは少し抵抗がありました。
ハナウマ湾の中にシュノーケルセットをレンタルできる場所もあったので正直自分でレンタカーして行くのが1番かと思いました。

ハナウマ湾自体は最高でまた機会があれば行きたいと思いました！！おすすめです！

This was my third time in Hawaii, and I visited Kailua Beach for the first time. It was much less crowded than Waikiki, making it a very romantic experience. I noticed many newlyweds, which was heartwarming to see.

You can rent mats and beach chairs from the shop, so after a relaxing time on the beach, we returned to the shop for lunch. There were many delicious lunch options available.

The half-Asian driver and the shop staff were kind, efficient, and easy to talk to, making them wonderful people. The lockers, changing rooms, and restrooms were clean and easy to use.

This time, after the beach, I was taken to Kailua Town for shopping, but next time I want to rent a bike and visit Lanikai Beach. Thank you to all the staff!

ハワイ三度目にして、初めてカイルアビーチに来ました。
ワイキキより人も少なくてとてもロマンティックに過ごせます。新婚旅行？のお二人が多い様に感じられ、見ていて微笑ましかっです。
お店でゴザとビーチチェアを借りられるのでまったりビーチで過ごした後、お店に戻りランチしました。ランチの種類も多くて美味しかったです。

送迎のハーフのお兄さんもお店のお姉さんも優しくてテキパキしており、話しやすくて素敵な方達でした。
ロッカーも着替えルームもトイレも綺麗で使いやすかったです。
今回は、ビーチの後にカイルアタウンに送ってもらい買い物しましたが次回は自転車レンタルしてラニカイビーチにも行きたいと思います。

The pickup time for the hotel was about 10 minutes late, and at the meeting point, there was only a Korean couple besides us. They confirmed in broken English whether we were users of the Hanauma Bay shuttle service, which eased our anxiety a bit. After that, we were able to communicate with the Korean couple and had a valuable experience.
This was my fourth time at Hanauma Bay, and the restrictions are becoming stricter. The first time, the entrance fee was the only cost, but starting from the second visit, there was one day a week when the bay was closed, and from the third visit, it became two days a week. This time, I was surprised to find that it was completely reservation-only.

ホテルへのピックアップ時間が１０分位遅れ、集合場所には私たち以外は韓国人夫婦でしたが、拙い英語でハナウマ湾シャトルサービスの利用者であるかの確認をし、少し不安が和らぎました。その後韓国人夫婦とコミュニケーションがはかれて貴重な体験が出来ました。
ハナウマ湾は、今回が４回目でだんだん制限が厳しくなりました。
最初の時は、入場料だけで２回目からは週１日休場日ができ３回目からは週２日休場になり、今回からは完全予約制でびっくりしました。

My 12 year enjoyed a lot. I am a non swimmer but with Faith guide it was a very good experience.

It was my first time snorkeling, and it became a wonderful memory! Having a Japanese guide was a great help for me since I'm not good at English. They swam alongside beginners and provided thorough explanations, which made the entire snorkeling experience enjoyable! If I have the opportunity to participate again, I look forward to it!

We were in Waikiki and I was able to book on Wednesday for a snorkeling trip on Friday. We were picked up on time, Veltra had all the supplies we needed (get an umbrella...there's no shade and you are there for a long time). The bay was beautiful. They picked us up from the bay on time. We had an amazing day. Thanks, Veltra!!!

Hotel pickup and drop off was on time. Everyone very Nice and polite.

The One thing i didint like was that they ask You for You to bring cash to pay for the entrance. And give your money to another guest, and ask Himmler to pay for the whole party. Is confusing and weird. Specially after finding Out that at the entrance the DO accept cards.

When we were planning our honeymoon trip to Oahu, my parents discouraged us from using a rental car, and I felt a bit sad thinking, "Oh, we can only sightsee around Waikiki..." While trying to find a way to enjoy areas outside of Waikiki on our own, I came across this tour!!

Since I can't speak any English and couldn't use a rental car, having a shuttle service with Japanese-speaking staff was truly reassuring ( ; ; ) Ai and Natsue kindly guided us to local recommended spots like snorkeling points and shopping areas, and Tomo, who provided the shuttle service, was very friendly. His speaking to us in Japanese made us feel at ease right from the moment he picked us up (＞＜).

We were blessed with great weather, and both Kailua and Lanikai had stunning views, making for an exciting snorkeling experience with my husband!! I highly recommend this tour to everyone ⭐︎ Thank you so much!!!

新婚旅行でオアフ島に行く計画をしていたとき、レンタカーでの行動を両親に止められてしまい「あ〜、ワイキキ周辺しか観光できないのか...」と寂しい気持ちになっていました。
どうにか自分たちの足でワイキキ以外の地域も堪能できないかと調べていた時に、このツアーを見つけました！！
英語が全く話せず、レンタカーも使えないため、送迎付きで日本語スタッフの方に対応いただけたのは、本当に心強くて安心でした（ ; ; ）

We had a wonderful time in Hanauma Bay with our awesome guide, who was knowledgeable and patient. Transportation was very convenient and comfortable. We would highly recommend!

The tour with Dan and Chieko, who are well-versed in Hanauma Bay, was fantastic. They guided us through a great course that matched the day's sea conditions. Even as someone who isn't confident in swimming, I received kind support and was able to enjoy it safely. The bay's conditions were good, and I was able to see many beautiful fish and sea turtles! I definitely want to participate again when I visit Oahu!

It was an unfortunate day with light rain and cloudy skies, a bit chilly, but the sea was very calm, and the instructors were very kind, making it a fun experience! They taught us various things, including where to find sea turtles, and we were able to see them up close!

The couple was our guide. The wife is Japanese and the husband is American, and he speaks fluent Japanese. They were incredibly kind both underwater and on land. We got to see sea turtles twice, and they took us to areas with lots of fish, which was a lot of fun.

ご夫婦でガイドさん。奥さんが日本人で旦那さんがアメリカ人で日本語がペラペラ。水中でも外でも超親切なお二人でしたよ。海ガメとは2回も会え、魚が沢山いるエリアに連れて行ってくれるのでとても楽しかったです。

I didn't encounter any sea turtles at Hanauma Bay, but I did see the state fish. However, half of the one-hour swim was spent searching for sea turtles in an area where there weren't many fish, so there wasn't much time to enjoy watching the fish.

Additionally, after the tour, photos are uploaded to Facebook the same day, but ours were missing. There seemed to be some confusion during the tour regarding the number of participants (was it 8 or 10?), which raised concerns about their awareness. I also received no response when I inquired about it.

Even though I tipped generously, I felt that this tour company was dishonest, as they provided no support after payment. If I receive a response, I will revise my review. Please contact me for now.

ハナウマ湾でウミガメには出会えませんでしたが、州魚を見れました。ただ1時間の遊泳のうち半分は魚があまりいない場所でのウミガメ探しになってしまったので、ゆっくり魚を見る時間はありません。
また、ツアー後は当日中にFacebookに写真がアップロードされますが、私達夫婦の分が漏れており(ツアー中も参加者8人？10人？など揉めており、認識不足が垣間見えました。危険では？)、問い合わせても一切応答なし。
チップも十分払っているのに、、お金を払ったら後は一切対応しない不誠実なツアー運営だと思いました。連絡あれば、評価を修正します。とりあえず連絡ください。

It was canceled due to bad weather. It's a bit disappointing, even though it's nature. However, the guide was very attentive and we had a really enjoyable time.

天候不良で中止になりました。自然とはいえ、少し残念。でもガイドさんは丁寧に話してくれて、とても楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

The waves were calm that day, so we were able to go out to the special area. Although we didn't see any turtles, we saw plenty of colorful and large fish. I thought an hour would be short, but it turned out to be quite tiring, and I got seasick and felt fatigued from the flight. In the end, I managed to return slowly. I had prepared a waterproof case to take photos underwater, but I didn't have the energy to do so. Let's make sure to remember everything with our eyes. Both my child and I felt unwell, but the guide was very accommodating and didn't show any displeasure, which was a relief. Thank you very much.

その日は波が穏やかだったとのことで、特別に行ける沖にいったそうです。
カメは見られませんでしたが、カラフルで大きな魚はたくさん見れました。
1時間は短いかと思いましたが、やってみるとかなり疲れるのと波酔い、飛行機疲れのため酔ってしまいました。最後は休み休み、何とか戻ることができました。
水中で写真撮るかと思い、防水ケースを用意していましたが撮る余裕はありません。目でしっかり焼き付けましょう。
親子で体調が悪くなりましたが、ガイドの方が嫌な顔することなく対応してくださり助かりました。ありがとうございました。

I visited Hanauma Bay for the first time in 2019 and was impressed by its beauty and the abundance of fish. However, since then, tours have been discontinued and reservations are now required for entry, making it difficult to visit on my own. This time, I participated in a tour. Although the morning is early, I think it's nice because there are fewer crowds. Even if you're not good at English, as long as you ask about the meeting place and time for the return, there shouldn't be any problems. I was worried about strong winds the day before, but I was lucky that the weather was good on the day of the tour.

2019年に初めてハナウマ湾に行き、美しさとたくさんの魚を観ることが出来、感動しましたが、その後ツアーが無くなったり、入場予約が必要になったりで個人で行くのも難しく、今回、このツアーに参加しました。朝は早いですが混雑が少なくていいと思います。英語が不得手でも帰りの集合場所と時間さえ聞いておけば問題ないです。前日まで風が強く心配でしたが当日は天気良くラッキーでした。

I participated in my first snorkeling tour because I wanted to create memorable experiences on my honeymoon! Although I had some anxiety, the instructor spoke Japanese fluently, which made me feel very secure, and I was able to enjoy the experience without any difficulties, even as a beginner.

At first, I struggled to get used to breathing underwater, but the instructor held my hand and supported me throughout, always keeping an eye on all the participants. It seemed like we had good conditions that day, as we were able to go quite far and even encountered six sea turtles. However, depending on the type of participants (some were too scared to go deeper) and the sea conditions (like wind and waves), experiences may vary on different days, so some might find it less satisfying.

I truly had a wonderful experience, and thanks to Dan and Chieko, my honeymoon became an unforgettable one! One thing to note is that since it was my first time snorkeling, I felt a bit seasick, so I wish I had taken motion sickness medication beforehand. As someone who gets cold easily, even with a wetsuit, I still felt chilly at the seabed. Swimming for about an hour was quite tiring physically. I think it would be more enjoyable to participate in good health, especially considering the fatigue from traveling.

I noticed that they were attentive to those who seemed unwell, offering support and even having them sit in the front seat of the car on the way back. I believe they provided the best service possible. I highly recommend it!

不安もありましたが日本語を完全に話せるインストラクターさんなのでとても安心でき、初めてでも不自由なく過ごすことができました。
潜ってすぐは呼吸に慣れず手こずりましたがずっと手を繋いでサポートしてくれ、終始参加者全員のことを気にかけてくれていました。
条件がいい日だったようでかなり奥まで行けてウミガメ6匹とも会うことができましたが、参加者のタイプだったり（怖がって奥まで行けない方もいると仰ってました）、海の状況を見て（風や波など）参加日によってかなり違うと思うので物足りない方もいるのかもしれません。
私は本当に素晴らしい体験をさせて頂き、ダンさんチエコさんのおかげで一生忘れられない新婚旅行になりました！
注意点は初めてのシュノーケリングだったので少し波酔いしてしまったので酔い止めを飲んでおけば良かったと思います。冬の参加で寒がりの私はウエットスーツをお借りしても海底は寒く感じました。1時間ほどずっと泳ぐのでかなり体力的には疲れを感じました。旅の疲れもある中で体調は万全にして参加した方がより楽しめるかと思います。
気分が悪そうな方には声をかけていたり帰りの車は助手席に乗せていたり常に最善のサービスを届けて下さったと思います。おすすめです！

The female guide provided very detailed explanations, allowing us to enjoy the experience with peace of mind until the end. Additionally, she shared helpful information about local restaurants, which was very useful. Thank you very much.

Dan did a great job working with our kids and giving them a great first experience.

Everything that was listed happened, they came to pick us up on time, the equipment was in perfect shape, the small training for beginners was clear and well done.
I went with my 7-year-old daughter, and both guides where all the time paying special attention to us, to see that were ok, taking special care of us. I felt very well looked after and secure. They know what they do and are very professional.
The experience is really amazing, we saw so many fishes and a turtle.
We both loved it.

Hanauma Bay is very beautiful, and I was able to see a lot of fish. The swimming time is about an hour, which was just right for me as a beginner.
*For those who regularly engage in water sports, it might feel a bit short.

I think it's essential for participants in the winter season and beginners in snorkeling to rent a wetsuit.

In winter, the seawater is a bit cold, so the wetsuit helps alleviate that, and it provides buoyancy, allowing you to focus on snorkeling with peace of mind.

I will definitely book this tour again when I go to Hawaii.

最高の体験でした。
初めてのシュノーケリングで不安もありましたが、
ガイドさんがフォローしてくださるので初心者でも安心して参加できるツアーだと感じました。

ハナウマ湾はとても綺麗で魚もたくさん見ることができ、
遊泳時間は1時間程度ですが、初心者の私にはちょうど良い時間でした。
※普段からマリンスポーツをされている方には、もしかしたら少し物足りないかも

また冬シーズンの参加の方、シュノーケリング初心者の方は、
ウェットスーツのレンタル必須だと思います。

冬は海水が少し冷たいのでその緩和と、
浮力があるので安心してシュノーケリングに集中できます。

またハワイに行く時はこのツアーを必ず予約します。

I couldn't enjoy myself freely because I was with people I didn't know well. I would like to have a bit more free time. Although we got in early, we could only swim for about an hour, so I couldn't go to the places I wanted to. I didn't think Hanauma Bay was more beautiful than it was four years ago. It was nice that the fish were used to people and didn't swim away. The guide was kind and helpful. Since I didn't need water or snacks, I would have preferred a lower price or at least to have about two hours of free time.

初めての人たちと一緒だったので自由にできなかった。ある程度自由時間がほしい。早く入れたが実質泳げるのが1時間程度なので、行きたいところに行けなかった。4年前より、ハナウマ湾が綺麗だとは思えなかった。魚は慣れていたので逃げないのは良かった。ガイドさんは親切で良かった。水もお菓子もいらないので、もう少し安くするか、せめて2時間くらいは自由にしたかった。

I heard that the water has become clearer thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, so I visited Hanauma Bay for the first time in 42 years. I feel like the water was clearer back then compared to this visit. However, there were so many sea cucumbers that there was hardly any space to stand, making it uncomfortable to land on the sandy bottom. This time, I hardly encountered any sea cucumbers, and I felt there were many types of fish. I'm good at free diving, but since I borrowed a wetsuit for the season, my body was buoyant, making it difficult to dive deep, which was a hassle. It seems just right for looking down from the surface without diving.

コロナパンデニックのお陰？で水がきれいになったと聞き、42年ぶりにハナウマ湾に行ってきました。
その頃は今回より水は綺麗だったような気がします。
ただ、足の踏み場が無い程の大量のナマコがいて砂地の着地は気持ちが悪かったです。
今回はナマコには殆ど遭遇せず魚の種類も多く感じました。
素潜りは得意の方ですが、季節柄ウエットスーツを借りただけに体が浮き深く潜る事ができにくく厄介でした。
潜らず水面から下を眺めるにはちょうど良いようです。

Dan and Chieko were phenomenal! My husband and I were first timers and both Dan and Chieko were kind and patient and very thorough in making it a great experience for us. We saw so many fish and even a sea turtle!! I highly recommend Blue Hawaii Divers. They are the best!!!

I visited Hanauma Bay for the first time in over 10 years. Previously, I could take a direct bus from Waikiki and freely enter the water, but it seems that after COVID, you can no longer enter without a ticket. I gave up on getting a ticket since they are sold online only two days in advance, so I joined this tour instead.

The guides were a very kind and wonderful Japanese woman and a gentle foreign man who spoke fluent Japanese. From the entrance to the explanatory video and entering the water, it was a bit complicated, so I felt it was difficult without a Japanese-speaking guide.

They took us to a snorkeling spot with lots of fish, which was really fun. Although I didn't see any sea turtles, I was glad to see many different types of fish. I recommend this for anyone wanting to visit Hanauma Bay. Also, if you're going in winter, a wetsuit is essential. The sun is hot, but the water temperature is surprisingly low.

10年以上ぶりにハナウマベイに行きました。
以前はワイキキからバス1本で行けて、海にも自由に入れましたが、コロナ後は入場チケットがないと入れなくなったようです。しかも2日前からオンライン販売と、チケットを入手するのは難しいと諦め、こちらのツアーに参加しました。
ガイドは日本人のとても親切で素敵な女性と
、日本語ペラペラの優しい外国人男性です。
入場から説明ビデオから海に入るまで、少しややこしいので、日本語のガイドさんがいないとやはり難しかったなあと思いました。
シュノーケルも魚がさくさんいるポイントに案内してくれて、とても楽しかったです。
ウミガメは見れませんでしたが、様々な種類の魚がたくさん見れて良かったです。
ハナウマベイに行かれたい方には、おすすめします。
あと、冬に行かれる場合は、ウェットスーツが必須です。日差しは暑いですが、水温は意外と低いです。

Snorkeling with Mickey was so much fun! It was good to see that he was enjoying it as much as we were, even though it’s something he’s done many times. He really knows how to make you feel at ease while in the water, even for first time or lesser experienced swimmers. The activity itself was very cool. We got to see some interesting animals at the ocean floor, such as sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and even some fish. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is thinking of signing up for it, and for such a reasonable price too. Surprisingly the photo’s actually turned out quite well too.
