Due to strong winds, the event could not be held as originally planned and was rescheduled for the following day, but I’m glad I participated! I was able to swim with sea turtles, which was a dream come true, and I had a great time snorkeling in the beautiful sea!

強風により当初の予定での開催が叶わず、翌日の催行となりましたが、参加して良かったです！夢だったウミガメとの遊泳が叶って、綺麗な海でシュノーケリングが出来て楽しかったです！

To enter Hanauma Bay on your own, it seems you have to win the reservation battle that only starts a few days in advance, so if you want to go to Hanauma Bay, I think it's safer to use the provided services. During our visit, we were fortunate with the weather, and since it was mid-March, we were able to venture further out. We were able to see sea turtles and yellowfin tuna, and it was great that we could later share photos. Since you snorkel for nearly an hour, I think it's a good idea to rent a wetsuit. The weather was good, but even so, I was glad to have the wetsuit towards the end.

自力でハナウマ湾に入るには（数日前にしか始まらない）予約争奪戦を勝ち取らなければならないそうなので、ハナウマ湾に行きたいなら無難に利用するのが良いのかなと思いました。我々の時は天候にも恵まれ、3月半ばだったこともあり、沖の方にも出ることができました。無事ウミガメやギンガメアジを見ることもできたし、写真も後ほど共有してもらえたりとありがたかったです。1時間近くシュノーケリングするのでウェットスーツを借りておくのが無難かなぁと思います。天候は良かったですが、それでも最後の方はウェットスーツがあって良かったなと思いました。

We participated as a couple on our honeymoon. Both of us were new to snorkeling and felt a bit anxious before joining, but once we got started, it was so much fun that we completely forgot our worries! The instructors were very friendly and taught us various things in a bright and enjoyable manner, and we got to see many beautiful fish and sea turtles. This was our first time having such a wonderful experience, and we had a great time! Thank you very much!

I went snorkeling with a light heart among young people. Thanks to the instructor who guided us without letting go of our hands, I was able to swim for an hour. The waves were rough that day, and I don't think I could have made it on my own, so I'm grateful. Because of that, I had the memorable experience of encountering turtles twice and swimming with them. I was tired, but it was fun.

若い人に混じって軽い気持ちでシュノーケリングしました。
インストラクターの人がずっと手を離さず先導してくれたおかげで、1時間泳ぎ切ることできました。
この日は波が荒く、ひとりでは泳ぎ切れなかったと思うので感謝です。
おかげで、亀にも2度遭遇して一緒に泳いだこと、とても記念になりました。
疲れたけど楽しかったです。

It was a cloudy and chilly day, and the guide recommended renting wetsuits to prevent injuries from the cold and coral. It was definitely the right decision to rent them since we passed very close to the coral.

I was truly thrilled to encounter sea turtles. The guide was bright and very kind, and I greatly appreciated their help. It was a memorable experience for the whole family.

If I have the opportunity to go again someday, I would love to join you.

曇り空で肌寒い日でガイドさんが寒さと珊瑚でケガをするのを予防する為、ウエットスーツのレンタルを勧めてくれました。
珊瑚の上ギリギリのところも通ったので貸りて大正解でした。

海亀と遭遇出来て本当に感激でした。
明るくとても親切でガイドさんには大変お世話になりました。
家族皆んなで参加出来、一生の思い出になりました。

It was very meaningful. Since it was my first time in Hawaii in a while and my stay was short, I wanted to make the most of my time. Choosing a tour with transportation instead of a rental car was the right decision. It included lunch, which was a great deal, and it satisfied my desire to go snorkeling and explore the city. The Japanese staff, Natsue and Emi, were very attentive to what the participants wanted, and I had a very pleasant experience. Thank you very much.

I communicated my lack of confidence in swimming, so they were attentive and held my hand, allowing me to swim without anxiety. Seeing the beautiful fish and coral made the stress from the long COVID-19 pandemic disappear. I was able to rent a bodysuit and prescription mask, and the two instructors who spoke Japanese were very kind. I would like to use this service again. Thank you!

泳ぎに自信がない事を伝えていたので気を配ってくれ、手をつないでもらい不安なく泳ぎました。
きれいな魚や珊瑚をみて長かったコロナ禍でのストレスが吹っ飛びました。
レンタルのボディスーツ、度付きマスクも借りれて日本語の分かるお二人のインストラクターの方が優しいです。
また利用したいです。

I chose Waikiki Beach because there are many high-rise hotels, and I wanted to spend time at a relaxing beach. Since I was with a toddler and a baby, we didn't do any specific activities; we just took a walk and played with the floaties we borrowed, but we were more than happy and satisfied. It was still a bit chilly for swimming, so there were few people, allowing us to fully enjoy the quiet and beautiful waters of Hawaii. The pizza for lunch had a mountain of minced garlic on it, so it might be a bit much for those sensitive to smells. In the afternoon, we went to the city and found many toys and goods from the popular Canadian anime, Paw Patrol, which we were able to purchase.

ワイキキビーチは高層ホテルが多いので、のんびりした雰囲気のビーチで過ごしたくて申し込みました。幼児とベビー連れだったので、アクティビティは特に何もせずに、お散歩と貸してもらった浮き輪で遊びましたが、充分喜んで満足していました。まだ、海水も少し冷たい時期なので人も少なく、静かで美しいハワイの海を満喫できました。ランチのピザはみじん切りのニンニクが山ほど振りかけてあるので臭いの気になる人は微妙かもしれません。午後は街に行ってマートに日本でも人気のカナダのアニメ、バウパトのオモチャやグッズがたくさんあったので購入することもできました。

The driver was half-Japanese and handsome, and his Japanese was also very good. After arriving at Kailua Beach, there were Japanese staff members who kindly taught us various things. You can rent lockers, which is helpful for storing your belongings when going to the beach. It was quite windy on the day we visited, and the sea was a bit rough, but Kailua Beach was very beautiful, and the water was wonderfully clear. I think the coral reefs would look even more beautiful on a sunny day. Next time I go to Hawaii, I want to try again on a nice weather day.

The pizza we chose for lunch was a quarter size, but it was really big and incredibly delicious. The bike options available were also enjoyable, and we rode to town while taking in the scenery like locals... If you bring Wi-Fi with you, you can navigate anywhere without getting lost!

送迎の彼はハーフでイケメン、日本語も上手です。カイルアビーチ到着後も日本人スタッフの方がいて、とても親切に色々教えて下さいました。
ロッカーを借りれるのでビーチに行く時の荷物もたすかります。当日強風で海が少し荒れていましたが、カイルアのビーチはとても綺麗で海の透明度も素敵でした。お天気ならもっと珊瑚のリーフが綺麗だろうなと思います。次回ハワイに行く際はお天気の日に再度チャレンジしたいと思います。
ランチにチョイスしたピザも4／1サイズですが、
すごく大きくてめちゃくちゃ美味しかったです。
選べるオプションの自転車も気持ちよく、タウンまで街並みを見ながら地元っ子のように…
Wi-Fi持参してるとどこでも迷わずいけちゃいますよ！

The guide's friendly demeanor was great. During the round-trip shuttle ride, there were various explanations about the area, which were helpful.

ガイドさんのフレンドリーな対応が良かった。行きかえりの送迎車の中でも、地域のいろいろな解説があり、参考になった。

The Hanauma Bay tour, which resumed in February, had a limited number of participants, so I felt safe joining.

I participated in the afternoon, and the low tide made everything look beautiful. The water is shallow, so it's reassuring even for beginners. They also taught us how to handle situations when water gets into the mask, and we gradually progressed, so I wasn't scared. For those who still find it challenging, the instructor stays with you the whole time.

I was very satisfied to see a variety of colorful fish and turtles. It's also comforting that communication in Japanese is perfectly fine.

2月から再開したハナウマ湾ツアー、人数制限もされていて安心して参加できました。

午後の参加でしたが、引き潮で綺麗にみえました。
浅めなので初めてでも安心です。
水がマスクに入ってしまったときの対処法なども教えてもらいながら徐々に進んでいくので怖くありません。
それでも大変な方はずっと先生についてもらえます。

色とりどりの魚にカメもみられて大変満足でした。
日本語で大丈夫なのも安心です。

I suck at swimming but our instructor Kyle made us feel safe and had me in good hands

My husband is not a strong swimmer, and Zola was patient and encouraging with him the whole time. Can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!

I think this tour is quite a bargain. After all, it includes hotel pick-up, lunch, rental bicycles, lockers, and free snorkeling and board rentals! Is there such a great tour available?

You can also shop in Kailua, swim in the beautiful sea, and we even got to see a honu (sea turtle)! Many of the staff spoke Japanese and were very helpful in answering any questions we had! Natsue, Emi, and Tomo were all friendly and pleasant!

I highly recommend this tour! ♪

このツアーはかなりお得だと思います。
何しろホテルまで送迎付き、ランチ付き、レンタル自転車付き、ロッカー有り、シュノーケリングやボードも無料で貸してくれる！
こんなお得なツアーあるでしょうか？

カイルアで買い物も出来るし、綺麗な海でも泳げるし、何とホヌにも会えました！
スタッフも日本語分かる方が多く、分からない事は丁寧に教えてくれました！
なつえさん、えみさん、ともくん、みんな気さくで感じ良かったです！
お世話になりました！

It was a great beginner class, got to see lots of fish, and a star fish. Great first time experience.

Driver Tomo was incredibly friendly and shared a lot of local information with us. The staff at the Kailua shop were also very friendly. Since my youngest daughter is 9 years old, we couldn't rent bikes, but they kindly inflated a small float for her, allowing us to enjoy the beach all day. Bodyboarding was also fun! For lunch, the kids ordered pizza, and I ordered barbecue, both of which were very delicious! I definitely want to come back here next time.

下の娘が9歳のため、自転車をレンタルすることができませんでしたが、わざわざ小さい浮き輪を膨らませてくれて1日中ビーチで楽しめました
ボディーボードも楽しかったです！

Amber was a great instructor. She provided clear instructions on how to put on the equipment properly, breathing techniques and made us feel at ease.

Was a little nervous because I have never really enjoyed putting my face under water but Amber made me feel relaxed and comfortable. She was knowledgeable and you could tell that she enjoyed her job. Would recommend you tie your hair back so as to keep it out of your face. Had a wonderful experience.

We heard we had to try snorkeling on our first trip to Hawaii but neither of us are super-confident swimmers, especially not in the ocean. If that sounds like you, START HERE. This snorkeling experience ended up being just right for two reasons 1) excellent instructor, Zola and 2) excellent location, Magic Island Lagoon. I was excited to try snorkeling, but when it came time to put the mask on, stick my face in the water, and breathe - I couldn't do it. After patient and friendly coaching from Zola, I was finally floating around and breathing under water. I owe it to Zola that I felt ready to sign up for another, more challenging, snorkeling tour later in the week where I got to see more fish and turtles. The location is this peaceful, blue and beautiful lagoon that's protected from the ocean's strongest waves by a barrier. The water is clear and just lovely to swim in. I would go back just to enjoy the beach.

The sea is beautiful! They recommended great meal options and spots, and I was very satisfied! I chose cycling and pizza, and it was the best! Snorkeling and bodyboarding were of course fun too!

It's more like a rental shop provided at the meeting place rather than a tour image. The staff are all friendly and approachable!

Since we didn't plan to go into the ocean that day, we only used the bicycles. The bicycles have wider tires compared to those in Japan, and they move quite well with just a light push. The brakes have their quirks (laughs), so definitely experience them on-site.

For those planning to go snorkeling, Kailua Beach is nice, but it might be a bit challenging to go all the way to Lanikai.

Especially, managing your belongings might be difficult.

There are various shops to enjoy while exploring Kailua. A great souvenir for women is Kanikai Bath & Body!

Also, there are a lot of wild birds. Additionally, since the tour time can be quite long, if you're confident in your stamina, I recommend climbing up to the Pillbox.

Regarding lunch, you can choose from three options, and we went with the BBQ plate and pizza. As mentioned in the comments, the pizza is different from what you find in Japan; it's oily, and the crust is thick yet crispy and delicious.

The BBQ plate is also tasty, but the eating area might be a bit questionable in terms of hygiene. The area in front of the pizza shop was clean! Since you're overseas, it's probably best not to worry too much about it!

私達は当日は海に入る予定がなかったため自転車のみ利用でした。
自転車は、日本と違いタイヤの幅も大きく軽く漕げば結構すすみます。
ブレーキは一癖あり（笑）是非現地で体験してください。

シュノーケリングされる予定の方はカイルアビーチは良いですが、ラニカイまでいくとなるとちょっと大変かも。

特に、荷物管理が難しいかもしれませんね。

カイルア散策ではいろいろなお店もあり楽しめますよ。
女性向けのお土産で良かったのはKanikai　Bath&Bodyです！

あととにかく、野鳥が多いです。
またツアー時間が結構長くとれるので、体力に自信がある方はピルボックスの方まで登るのはおすすめです。


ランチについては、3種類から選べるのですが、
私達はBBQプレートとピザにしました。コメントのあるようにピザは日本のとはちがいオイリーで生地はふといのにサクサクでうまいです。

BBQプレートも美味しいのですが、食べる場所はちょっと衛生的に微妙かも。ピザ屋さんの前は綺麗でした！
海外ですのであんまり気にしすぎないほうが良いですね！

First time snorkeling for my husband and I. Zola was very thorough and showed us all kinds of sea life! 10/10 recommend!! Will have to try scuba diving with Zola next!!

They called to let me know I needed passes to Hanauma Bay (which I didn't realize). This saved our whole day because I didn't realize I had to be there so early to secure 4 tickets to the park which sell out by 8:30 am (latest). This info was a life saver as we showed up to rent our snorkelling gear by 7:30 and were at the park before 8am to secure walk-up tickets. Tip: get your tickets to Hanauma Bay online at 7am 2 days in advance (they sell out in 2 minutes). Then you don't have to wait in line at the park on the day of.

We had a great experience. The guide was super friendly and patient with us throughout while we didn't even know how to swim.

We wanted to snorkel without taking a boat ride. This was a great option. Our party of 3 (grandparents with granddaughter) were all beginners to snorkeling. They provided nice equipment so we didn’t need to purchase anything. The instructor, Ryan, was very knowledgeable. He showed us how to wear the items properly. He taught us the simple steps of snorkeling - breathing through the tube and floating. The lagoon was a perfect, protected place. We saw many different fish and sea creatures. Ryan’s patience with beginners was much appreciated. This was money well spent for an experience we will never forget.
