I was able to see several sea turtles swimming while on a cruiser to the sandbar. The guide made it easy to spot them. During snorkeling, I was moved when the guide pointed out sea turtles hiding among the rocks. The Japanese crew was very kind. However, in February, the weather wasn't very good and the wind was strong, so it was cold. I had a rash guard, but the water was cold, and the female participants were shivering in the boat. I think it would have been great if they had wetsuits available for rent.

ガイドさんが教えてくれるので見つけやすかった。
シュノーケリングでも岩場に隠れているウミガメを教えて頂き感動でした。
日本語クルーさんとても親切でした。
ただ2月で天気も余り良くなく風もきつかったので寒かった。
ラッシュガードを持っていたけど水は冷たく女性の参加者は舟で震えていた。
ウエットスーツの貸し出しがあればよかったと思う。

It was quite windy, but the boat was large and stable, so I was able to enjoy the experience without getting seasick. I appreciated how the crew boosted everyone's spirits and their serious focus on searching for whales.

In the first half of the cruise, no whales appeared, and I was starting to lose hope, but in the second half, we encountered whales multiple times, and it was an amazing experience to see them spouting water and even their tails.

I also used the shuttle bus service, but since various tour pickup buses arrive at the same time, I showed my voucher to the staff to confirm which bus was for my tour. I think it would be clearer if the Veltra logo was displayed.

かなりの強風でしたが、船が大きいので安定していて、船酔いすることなく楽しめました。クルーの皆さんが気分を盛り上げてくれたり、真剣に海を見つめてクジラを探す姿に好感がもてました。
クルーズ前半はまったくクジラが現れず諦めかけていましたが、後半で何度もクジラに遭遇し、潮をふいたり、尾びれまで見ることができて最高の体験になりました。
バスの送迎も利用しましたが、同じ時間帯に色々なツアーのピックアップバスが来るので、自分のツアーがどのバスなのかスタッフの方にバウチャーを見せて確認しました。
ベルトラのロゴ等が表示されているとよりわかりやすいと思います。

It was heartfelt and awesome....so much history that we need to appreciate

I participated in the luau in November 2023. The fire dance performance was truly spectacular! The powerful dance and unique techniques, along with a large number of male dancers handling fire, made for a very impressive luau!

The location is in the Kapolei area, a bit away from Waikiki, and the luau is held on the grounds of the theme park "Wet 'n' Wild." I visited using a rental car, but there are also paid shuttles available from Waikiki, so if you're feeling uncertain, using the shuttle might be a good option.

The luau starts around the time Wet 'n' Wild closes. Staff dressed in Hawaiian attire greet you at the entrance and place a lei around your neck. Along the way to the venue, you can take commemorative photos before entering the open-air venue. The seating consists of plastic chairs, but they are neatly arranged, and a staff member guides you to your assigned seat.

During the bright hours before all the guests arrive, you can experience Hawaiian culture. I tried making a crown using coconut leaves. It might be fun for families with elementary school children or groups to participate in. There was also a traditional fire-starting demonstration on stage. You can enjoy a friendly atmosphere while waiting for the show to start.

Once all the guests have arrived, the show begins. First, there is a welcome performance by strong male dancers, followed by the meal time. The meal is served buffet-style, and you take food in the order you are seated. Since there were many large guests from the mainland, some menu items were gone by the time I went for seconds... It might be a good idea to take enough food during the first serving.

The staff also provides drinks with the meal. I refrained from alcohol since I was driving, but there are menu items like Mai Tai cocktails that you can only enjoy in Hawaii! If you're coming with a shuttle or with family, I recommend enjoying the exclusive drinks.

After enjoying a hearty meal, it’s finally time for the dance show. By the time the show starts, the sun has set, and the torches on stage create an atmospheric setting. The audience also starts to get excited. The dance show features about eight performers, showcasing not only hula but also Tahitian dance and moody performances, all of which are very engaging.

The highlight of this luau is undoubtedly the fire dance! The number of performers, the intensity, and the main dancer's skills combined to create an overwhelming performance. It ended with a standing ovation and loud applause. If you want to enjoy a show full of excitement, this is definitely a luau you should participate in!

2023年11月に参加させていただきました。1にも2にもファイヤーダンスが圧巻のパフォーマンス！大迫力のダンスと他に類を見ないような技術の数々、火を扱う男性ダンサーの数も多く、非常に見応えたっぷりのルアウでした！

場所は少々ワイキキから離れたカポレイ地区、テーマパーク「ウェット＆ワイルド」の敷地内で実施されているルアウです。私はレンタカーを使って訪問しましたが、ワイキキから有料送迎も出ているので不安な方は送迎利用も良いかもしれません。

ルアウの開始時間はウェット＆ワイルドの閉園と近い時間。入口でハワイアンの装いをしたスタッフさんたちが出迎え、1人ずつレイを首にかけててくれます。会場までの道中で記念写真を撮っていただき、オープンエアの会場へ。座席はプラスチックのイスですが、きれいに整頓されており、自分の指定席にスタッフさんが案内してくれました。

お客さんが全員揃うまでの明るい時間帯はハワイアン文化の体験ができます。私はココナッツの葉っぱを使った冠作りに挑戦。小学生連れのご家族やグループで楽しんでみても良いかもしれません。ステージの上では昔ながらの火起こし体験も実施されていました。ショー開始までの時間、和気あいあいとした雰囲気を満喫することができます。

会場にお客さんが揃った頃からショーの開始です。まずは屈強な男性陣によるウェルカムパフォーマンスがあり、そこからお食事タイムへ。食事はブッフェ形式で席に座っている順番に取り分けていく流れです。大柄なアメリカ本土のお客さんが多かったせいか、おかわりを取りに行った頃にはなくなっているメニューもいくつか…1回目のとりわけでしっかりと食べる分は取っておくと良いかもしれませんね。

お食事と共にスタッフさんがドリンクを提供してくれます。私は運転があったのでアルコールは控えましたが、マイタイカクテル等、ハワイでしか飲めないメニューも！送迎つきで来られている方やご家族で来ている場合は、限定ドリンクを楽しむのもお勧めです。

お腹いっぱいまでお食事を楽しんだ後は、いよいよダンスショータイムになります。ショー開始の頃には日も沈んで夜も更けており、ステージ上の松明が世界感を演出。会場に合わせて、客席も盛り上がってきます。ダンスショーは男女8名程度の構成で、フラダンスはもちろん、タヒチアンダンスやムーディーなダンス等、見応えたっぷりの演目が続きます。

このルアウの見どころはなんといってもファイヤーダンス！人数、迫力、メインダンサーの技術など、総合して圧倒的なパフォーマンスでした。最後はスタンディングオベーションで大拍手喝采。とにかく迫力満点のショーを楽しみたい方には、是非参加いただきたいルアウショーでした！

非常に見応えたっぷり、参加して良かったです！

It felt just like the other reviews said.

It was more of a shuttle service to the hotel rather than a tour. Since it was completely in English, I think only those who can speak English would enjoy it. When we arrived at the entrance of Hanauma Bay, the guide left, and we had to buy our own tickets and were free to explore on our own. I thought the price was high considering it was just a shuttle service. I felt a bit reluctant to pay a tip on top of that.

There was also a place to rent snorkeling gear inside Hanauma Bay, so honestly, I think it would be best to rent a car and go there on your own.

Hanauma Bay itself was amazing, and I would love to go again if I have the chance! I highly recommend it!

ツアーというよりはホテルまでの送迎のみでした。完全英語対応だったので英語ができる方しか楽しめないと思います。
ハナウマ湾入口に着くとガイドは帰ってしまい自分でチケット購入し、自由行動という感じでした。
送迎のみの割には値段が高いと思いました。そこにチップを払うのは少し抵抗がありました。
ハナウマ湾の中にシュノーケルセットをレンタルできる場所もあったので正直自分でレンタカーして行くのが1番かと思いました。

ハナウマ湾自体は最高でまた機会があれば行きたいと思いました！！おすすめです！

This is our second time with Captain Bob's, and we will definitely return.... We recommend this group because they are very knowledgeable, you get to play on the sandbar, enjoy a great lunch, snorkel around a small reef and they take you to a spot to see many turtles!!!!
Our captains were so helpful with our family members that needed extra help, they were so attentive to their needs and were watching our for them all the time...... They were so friendly and pleasant to be around..... Awesome, fantastic, wonderful, excellent were the words my family of 6 kept saying over and over...... We highly recommend Captain Bob's and will definitely return when we come back to Oahu....

We enjoyed all aspects of this luau and highly recommend it. The host was phenomenal, as were the dancers. And the food was incredibly tasty.

今回初めての参加でした。早朝からのコースで行きました。船はとても広く屋上等も上がることができ、海が一望できました。清潔でトイレなども付いておりとても良かったです。ツアーの前にスタッフからクジラについての説明やクジラが見えた際の方向の指示の説明等があったため助かりました。出航後は何回もクジラを見ることができ、Tail Slap（テールスラップ）も見ることができました。帰りも船の中でゲームのような形でスタッフの方からクイズがありとても楽しめました。スタッフの方は皆さん親切な方ばかりで、クジラが出た方向の指示を聞き逃してしまった時もクジラの出た方向に連れて行ってくれたりしました。とても楽しかったです。また行きたいと思います。

The pickup time for the hotel was about 10 minutes late, and at the meeting point, there was only a Korean couple besides us. They confirmed in broken English whether we were users of the Hanauma Bay shuttle service, which eased our anxiety a bit. After that, we were able to communicate with the Korean couple and had a valuable experience.
This was my fourth time at Hanauma Bay, and the restrictions are becoming stricter. The first time, the entrance fee was the only cost, but starting from the second visit, there was one day a week when the bay was closed, and from the third visit, it became two days a week. This time, I was surprised to find that it was completely reservation-only.

ホテルへのピックアップ時間が１０分位遅れ、集合場所には私たち以外は韓国人夫婦でしたが、拙い英語でハナウマ湾シャトルサービスの利用者であるかの確認をし、少し不安が和らぎました。その後韓国人夫婦とコミュニケーションがはかれて貴重な体験が出来ました。
ハナウマ湾は、今回が４回目でだんだん制限が厳しくなりました。
最初の時は、入場料だけで２回目からは週１日休場日ができ３回目からは週２日休場になり、今回からは完全予約制でびっくりしました。

We were so excited to go swim at the sandbar and are so glad we decided to take a boat. Excursion includes a ride to the sandbar with refreshments, crew-led snorkeling, and free time. Was nervous that I wasn't able to swim too well for the snorkeling portion but Jayson was awesome and floated me & three other people through the deep water. Great experience for folks of all ages and backgrounds!

The Chief was entertaining and the show was great. I always wanted to see a Luau. Highly recommend

I joined the tour at the meeting point. I received a boarding sticker to place on my chest and boarded the ship. The boat was quite a large sightseeing vessel.

About five minutes after leaving the dock, we slowed down. I was able to see a baby whale. This was the closest I got to a whale, and I was able to take great photos with my 250mm lens.

After this, I saw whales spouting from a distance several times, but they only appeared small in the viewfinder. I didn't see any whales jumping, but I was very satisfied with the sense of openness.

現地集合で参加。受付で乗船シールを胸に貼って乗船。船は結構高い観光船。
桟橋を離れて5分くらいで減速。子ども鯨が見れた。これが1番近くで見れた鯨で250mmレンズでバッチリ撮れた。
この時以降遠くて塩吐く鯨は何度か見れたがファインダーの中に小さく映る程度。ジャンプする鯨は全く見れなかったが、開放感にとても満足、

It was a nice day with good weather.
I used the shuttle bus, and the driver, Chris, was very kind. The bus was large, clean, and comfortable to ride.
During the bus ride, we could watch a video explaining the ship and safety instructions in both English and Japanese.
The service from the cruise staff was also very good.
Unfortunately, we couldn't see any whales, but we received a voucher for a free ride, so I would like to try again.

天気も良く気持ちいい日でした。
送迎バスを利用しましたが、ドライバーのクリスさんとても親切な方でした。バスは大型で綺麗で乗り心地もよかったです。
バスで移動中、ビデオによる船内の説明と安全に関する説明を英語と日本語で見ることができます。
クルーズスタッフの方々のサービスもとてもよかったです。
肝心なクジラは残念ながら見ることができませんでしたが、リベンジ乗船券をいただいたので再挑戦したいと思います。

Not only did we get to see dolphins jumping around having a blast, but the sunshine was out!! It was a great day.

My kiddos had a blast, it was so worth it if you do have kiddos as Chief S really incorporates everyone in the crowd!

Arizona comes with the tour, which is half the troubles on the park. Great and easy experience!

The day we experienced was a rough day at sea, and even though it was a very large ship, it rocked quite a bit. Wandering around the deck was somewhat better, but still, my child seemed to get seasick and ended up sleeping on the sofa partway through. We saw whales closer than we expected, and we also spotted dolphins. The tour itself was enjoyable, but I think it's a good idea for participants to bring motion sickness medication just in case.

体験した日は海が大荒れの日でとても大きな船だったのですがよく揺れました。
デッキをうろうろしていると幾分マシでしたがそれでも子供は酔ったようで途中からソファーで寝ていました。
鯨は思っていたより近くに見え、さらにイルカも見えました。
ツアー自体は楽しかったのですが参加される方は念のため酔い止めを持って行かれるのがいいと思います。

Both the participants and the staff created a great atmosphere, making it a memorable page in my travel experiences! I was able to see more animals than I expected. The food was delicious too.

参加者もスタッフもいい雰囲気で旅行の思い出の１ページになりました！動物も思ったより多く見れました。ご飯もおいしかったです。

This was my first time participating.
It was a snorkeling experience in the calm coral sea.
I can't swim at all, but I felt safe because I wore a life jacket and the staff guided me by pulling a float.
I was able to see many sea turtles and fish.
On the boat, we were served spam rice balls, snacks, and warm drinks.
Since February is the rainy season, we got caught in the rain on the way back, and it was cold.
I think it's a good idea to bring a hotel beach towel and a cover-up.

初めて参加しました。
珊瑚の穏やかな海のシュノーケリングでした。
全く泳げませんが、ライフジャケットを付け
スタッフさんが浮きを引っ張って誘導してくれたので安心でした。
海亀や魚が沢山見れました。
ボートではスパムおにぎりやスナック菓子
温かい飲み物がいただけます。
2月は雨季と言う事で帰りにボートの上で雨に降られて寒かったです。
ホテルのビーチタオルと羽織りは持って行った方がいいと思います。

I participated in the tour on February 22. I added transportation to the departure, which allowed me to arrive at the boat without any confusion. Additionally, we were blessed with good weather and were able to see mother and baby whales faintly. Feeling the sea breeze, the view of Diamond Head and Honolulu from the boat was very lovely. The interior of the boat was spacious, allowing us to see Honolulu from various angles. On the return trip, I got off at the Waikiki Prince Hotel and was able to walk directly to Ala Moana Center. It was a very satisfying tour!

2/22のツアーに参加しました。
行きの送迎も追加し、迷うことなく船に到着することができました。
また、天気に恵まれ、体全体、うっすらと親子クジラを見ることができました。
海風を感じながら、船から見るダイアモンドヘッドとホノルルの景色がとても素敵でした。船内はとても広いため、いろんな角度からホノルルを見ることができました。
帰りの送迎では、ワイキキプリンスホテルで下車し、そのまま徒歩でアラモアナセンターまで行くことができました。
とても満足なツアーでした！

The day we boarded, the waves were incredible and the ship was rocking a lot. As I stared at the choppy sea, I started to feel seasick, haha. I was able to see the whale's tail and it spouting water. The dolphins also swam alongside us, which was quite a unique experience. The first mate provided a lot of explanations, and I became interested in the ecology of whales. However, it was really unfortunate how rough it was (though it's to be expected with nature). It was a large ship, but everyone was lying down on the sofa seats, making it quite a tough tour.

揺れる海面をじっと見ていると船酔いしました笑
鯨は尻尾と、潮を吹いているところが見れました。
イルカも並走してくれてなかなかできない経験でした。
副船長の方もたくさん説明してくださり、鯨の生態にも興味が持てました。
しかしとにかく揺れがひどかったのが残念でした。(自然相手なので仕方ないですが)大きな船ですが、ソファー席にみんな寝ていてなかなか過酷なツアーでした。

The Dole farm and factory were a lot of fun. The ocean was beautiful as well. For lunch, a sandwich lunch box was provided. No Japanese guidebook was handed out. However, at the Dole plantation, there was a staff member who spoke Japanese and explained important parts in Japanese (it might have been a coincidence). Additionally, the guide could speak some Japanese, so there were times when they communicated using Japanese words. During the transfers, the guide explained various things about Hawaii in English. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand most of the explanations, but I still enjoyed each of the places we visited.

ドールの農場も工場もとても楽しかったです．海もきれいでした．お昼はサンドイッチのランチBOXが配布されました．
日本語の案内書は渡されませんでした．しかし，（偶然かもしれませんが）ドール農園では，日本語を話せるスタッフの方が同行してくださり，重要な部分を日本語で説明してくださいました．また，ガイドさんも多少日本語が話せる方でしたので，日本語の単語でコミュニケーションを取ってくださることもありました．
移動中はガイドさんが，英語でハワイの様々なことを説明してくださいます．
残念ながら，私はその解説の大半を理解することができませんでしたが，それでもそれぞれの訪問地を十分楽しむことができました．

We were in Waikiki and I was able to book on Wednesday for a snorkeling trip on Friday. We were picked up on time, Veltra had all the supplies we needed (get an umbrella...there's no shade and you are there for a long time). The bay was beautiful. They picked us up from the bay on time. We had an amazing day. Thanks, Veltra!!!

I went with a 9-year-old girl. I was surprised by the number of impressive slides, but none of them were too scary; in fact, they felt quite nice, and the child rode them repeatedly. Since it was the off-season, there was hardly any waiting time, which was great. They were closing one slide next to another and opening the other, so there were some we couldn't ride, but they switched them around over time, so we were able to experience most of the attractions during our day there. We added a free drink option, but it was cold, and there were only carbonated drinks available, so we only consumed the water we brought with us; we didn't really need the free drink. Since we had a light appetite, it was cheaper not to include meals. In February, even wearing a rash guard, it was cold when the wind blew on our wet bodies. It was nice to have some warmth when the sun was out. I thought it was a bit odd to come all the way to Hawaii to play with artificial attractions, but I heard the child would enjoy it, and I ended up having a great time as well.

９歳の女の子と２人で行きました。結構迫力のあるスライダーが多くて、驚きましたが、どれもそれほど怖くなく、むしろ気持ちが良くて、子供は何回も繰り返し乗っていました。オフシーズンだったのでほとんど待ち時間がなかったのも良かったです。隣り合うスライダーを一つをクローズして片方をオープンする、ようにしていたので、乗れないものもありましたが、時間が経つと逆になっているので、１日滞在しているうちにはほとんどの施設を経験可能でした。フリードリンクを付けましたが、寒かったことと、飲み物は炭酸飲料くらいしかなかったので持参した水のみしか消費せず、フリードリンクはなくても良かったです。食事も少食なので付けていない方が安くすみました。２月はラッシュガードを着ても、濡れた体に風が吹くと寒かったです。日差しがあるとあたたかくて助かりました。
わざわざハワイに来て人工的なもので遊ぶのもなー、と思いつつ子供が喜ぶと聞いて来たのですが、大人も十分に楽しめました。

One ride was not open. The lady that greeted us was awesome and our concierge…gave her a 20 tip …we stayed primarily in the wave pool. Wasn’t really clean but clean enough to get in. Food was okay and the rides were very short.. lots of walking up steps to get to them. You had to carry the tubes up the steps which were very heavy cause I guess we’re weaklings . A residence…young teen carried it up like a champ. Was fun nonetheless but spent so much on that waterpark as much as universals studios almost but no where close to as many rides at all!

The Bay itself is amazing.
Hotel pickup and drop off was on time. Everyone very Nice and polite.

The One thing i didint like was that they ask You for You to bring cash to pay for the entrance. And give your money to another guest, and ask Himmler to pay for the whole party. Is confusing and weird. Specially after finding Out that at the entrance the DO accept cards.

We participated as a couple. The hotel pick-up and drop-off was convenient. Upon arriving at the departure port, we boarded a large cruise ship, where the staff and captain provided thorough safety instructions and explained the ecology of whales and viewing points. Then, the whale watching began. Since it was a large ship, we were satisfied just enjoying the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from offshore while cruising steadily. Once we reached the spot, we were able to see the whales' backs and spouts several times, and I thought it was a great experience.

夫婦で参加いたしました。ホテルまで送迎があり便利でした。出発地点の港に到着すると、大きなクルーズ船に乗り込み、スタッフやキャプテンの安全の説明やくじらの生態や見るポイントなどを丁寧に説明がされたあとに、くじらホエールウォッチングが始まりました。大型船なので安定した走行の中で沖合からワイキキの街並みとダイヤモンドヘッドを眺めるだけでも満足。スポットに到達すると、くじらの背中と潮吹きを何度か見ることができ、良い体験ができたと思いました。

Since it was the rainy season in January, unfortunately, there was a bit of rain and strong winds on the day, and the waves affected the visibility while snorkeling. I was able to see some fish! It seems there was a sea turtle during snorkeling, but I was swimming ahead and by the time I turned back, it was gone, so I couldn't see it. It was just bad luck. I thought I could also do stand-up paddleboarding, but due to the strong winds, we couldn't do any activities other than snorkeling, and in the end, it turned into a cruise searching for sea turtles. The handmade spam onigiri was delicious! It was disappointing this time, but I would like to try again next time when it's not the rainy season. ☺︎

一月の雨季の参加だったのもあり、残念ながら当日雨が少しと風が強く、波もあってシュノーケルの時、海の透明度はあまりよくありませんでした。お魚は見る事が出来ました！ウミガメもシュノーケルの時いたみたいですが、私は前を泳いでいて戻っていくうちにいなくなってしまって見る事が出来ず。運ですが。supなどもできるかと思っていたのですが、風が強かったせいかシュノーケル以外のアクティビティは出来ず、最後はウミガメ探しのクルーズになりました。ます！手作りのスパムおにぎりは美味しかったです！今回は残念でしたが、次回は雨季じゃない時にまたトライしたいと思います☺︎
