Great sailing trip to Lanai!

Really enjoyed the day sailing to Lanai from Maui with Captain Turtle! The captain and his crew made it fun and a day of adventure. We did the Snuba when we got to Lanai and Shamus did a great job working with everyone and keeping things safe. Courtney, Shamus and Clay were great on the boat keeping us entertained and personally served everyone.

We saw whales, flying fish and some whitecaps which made for an adventurous trip back.

What surprised me the most when I arrived was that there was absolutely no Japanese guide. Everything was conducted in English, so I felt misled by the title of this tour.

We had the best time! Loved our time snorkeling and going to see turtles. Saw a huge turtle. Biggest I have ever seen. It was great that there were only a few of us on the boat that day. Would have loved to have a grill for burgers, but lunch was good nonetheless.

All the crew members were nice and had positive attitudes. They were thankful for the tourists as it’s hard to travel to Hawaii right now. The BBQ lunch provided was way better than a wrap sandwich that was pre-made. Would totally book with them again. And saw lots of whales too.

A hidden gem!

This tour is one of the most interesting and enjoyable activity one can take while on the island of Maui. The tour includes the Ferry from Lahaina Harbor to the Island of Lana’i. Once there we were greeted by our tour guide Bruce and off we went in a Chevrolet Suburban. Bruce was so knowledgeable and shared his experiences living on the island.
He shared the history of the island as well as the myths of the gods in the valley of the gods. We were able to see the entire island which has so many different highlights.
This was our second time we have taken this tour and I would highly recommend it for everyone. There is so much to see. A real gem. .

Went out on Aqua Adventures and felt they were a bit understaffed for the amount of passengers they had. Pre paid for Snuba but my husband didn’t even try. No contact for refund. Food served was minimal and not the best quality.

Crew was friendly, ferry was clean, and it was just a fun way to see the whales---I suggest doing this than paying for a whale watching experience because we saw more whales here on our way to Lanai. Overall, great experience with snorkeling tour. I would have given 5-starts other than the two issues, 1 - One of the staff was little rude (white blonde seemed little racist attitude), however everyone else on the staff was super nice, 2 - the second issue, snorkeling place was little muggy water and it was little hard to sight any turtles, even though I saw one but my family couldn't see any. However, we sighted bunch of whales on the way, with couple of them very close to our boat (little scary for few seconds) which was awesome.

A great day trip to a wonderful island paradise

After years of annual vacations on Maui we finally planned a day-trip to Lanai. Out of respect for the native culture and not wanting to violate any sacred areas we decided to hire a local guide to show/drive us around. That was a great decision and great fun. We went all over the island hearing stories of the olden days and current events. If you are at all curious about how Maui (and other Hawaiian islands) looked and felt decades ago, than a trip to Lanai should be on your next itinerary. Like many other Maui adventures, you have get an early start as the first 45 minute Ferry run to the island leaves Lahaina at 6:30am. Enjoying sunrise on a boat in paradise can't be beat. We were greeted at the harbor by our tour guide, who has lived on the island for 20 years. He knew every inch, nook and cranny of the island. He told us about his growing up on the island, and stories old and new of life there.

After lunch in Lanai City we had time to shop in the few local shops and boutiques. Life is a much slower pace there, with way fewer cars and less people. We continued on our tour with a few more afternoon stops, ending at a beautiful beach a short walk to the harbor. We caught the last ferry back to Maui and enjoyed an evening ocean cruise back to Lahaina.

I would highly recommend a day trip and guided tour of Lanai. It's great fun and you never know who you might bump into on this unpretentious paradise island!

The staff of this tour are great, from the moment you get picked up until the end. The food is great and the boat is really nice. My only issue was that the waters were quite choppy at the molokini crater and it was not the easiest snorkel experience.

Unfortunately I picked this tour for where it said we were snorkeling. The crew made a last minute decision to change our snorkel spot due to winds.

We had a great tour of the pineapple plantation on our last day in Maui. Our guide was Ken and he was fantastic. He provided so much information and history that it really made the tour worth it. The tour is only 1:30 hours which makes it quick and easy in case you have other activities planned that day.
We enjoyed the fresh cut pineapple samples from the field and seeing the different stages of pineapples throughout the fields.
Well worth it. We had a great experience

We did the full day tour with Isaac, a semi-retired local who knows the ins and outs of the island of Lanai. We're glad we took the full day tour otherwise you only get to see a glimpse of the island. Don't expect a beach day here, you'll rather get a ride all aroud the island with the history (old and recent) of the place on top of the usual sites: garden of the gods, shipwreck beach...

The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The apps are still filled with local foods. Every time we go to Maui, we try to book with Sea Maui. it was just what we were looking for and more.

How could we vacation in Hawaii without going to a luau? We were in Maui during winter break, so things were very busy. This luau was the only one I could find with openings. The show itself was very fun and interesting. It gave us some background about Hawaiian culture and history. The food was just ok. All drinks are included (even alcoholic ones). It’s definitely pricey, but overall it’s a fun Hawaii-specific experience.
