The sun hid behind the clouds at a crucial moment, but according to our wonderful driver and guide, Neri, we were lucky enough to witness the sexy sunrise, which has only about a 5 percent chance of being seen!

Anyway, on this Haleakalā tour, Neri, the only female driver, was incredibly skilled as a guide and had perfect driving techniques.

The tour was on August 16, and it was really cold; even wearing a Heattech turtleneck and an ultra-light down jacket, I felt like I was shivering. I think it would have been nice to have ear muffs, hand warmers, and something like a blanket or a cape as extra gear.

My fellow passengers were from Germany and the United States (San Francisco, Chicago, etc.), and we all had a great time. The guide spoke in English, and I think I understood about half of it, but it wasn't a problem at all.

太陽は、肝心なところで雲隠れしてしまいましたが、素晴らしいドライバー兼ガイドのネリさんの言によれば、5パーセント程度での確率でしか見ることの出来ないセクシーサンライズ！を拝むことが出来てラッキーでした。
とにかく、このハレアカラツアーで一人しかいないという女性ドライバーのネリさんは、ガイドはこの上なく上手く、ドライブテクニックも完璧でした。
さて、8月16日のツアーでしたが、とにかく寒くヒートテックのタートルネックにウルトラライトダウンを着込んでも震えが来るような体感温度でした。
耳あて、ホッカイロ、毛布ようなマント？のようなものも備えとしてあれば良かったかと思います。
なお、同乗者はドイツ、アメリカ(サンフランシスコ、シカゴなど)のメンバーでしたが、十分に楽しむことが出来ました。
英語のガイドですが、何となく半分程度は理解出来たと思いますが、特に問題はありませんでしたよ。

As early as the pick up times for this tour, it was worth it!! The experience to watch the sunrise over Maui and right above the clouds of Haleakala was absolutely amazing!! Shuttle ride up the mountain was perfect to take naps before arriving to the summit. Pick a spot along the fence line as soon as you can because it gets crowded very fast!!

Now...all visitors, PLEASE understand that you are a VISITOR into the home of Hawaiian Islanders, RESPECT their boundaries on their land!!! DO NOT hop over fence lines!! There are barriers for a reason!!
1) They are protecting their island plants and animals as they aren’t very many anymore.
2) STAY OFF SACRED LAND!!! They welcomed you into their home, respect the places you are not allowed to enter!!

Don’t be ignorant!! Respect the land you travel!
There were MANY ignorant people that even when the park representatives came out to get people back over the right side of the fence were ignored!

They opened their home and welcomed you so that you can experience an amazing view, enjoy it by appreciating their hospitality and respecting their boundaries.

The natives will chant as the sunrises, it would be nice for everyone to quiet the conversation and bask in the chant and take in this spectacular experience.

This tour was so fun. We had a really nice driver that talked about the culture and history of Maui, and she even asked my wife and I questions about ourselves. She knew all the best places to stop & take pictures, eat banana bread, and what literally every plant was. She was truly and expert guide. At one point, she stopped at a waterfall for us to look at, and she said we could jump off of it and she'd take a video of us. And we did!! It was SO fun. Wow. I would do this again. Anyone who goes might want to bring a change of clothes/a towel in case you want to go for a swim!

I waited a long time for the whale to appear, and finally, it showed up. I was able to encounter it at the fountain. The weather was also perfect, and I had a great time.

なかなか現れてくれず、鯨をずーと待ってました。やっと現れてくれて。⛲と出会うこと出来ました。天気も最高☀️で満喫出来ました。

I was able to see the whales breaching and diving multiple times. However, this is a matter of luck, and since it was just before the season, I only saw one whale. Additionally, due to regulations, the boat has a set distance it must maintain from the whales, so we were at a certain distance away.

くじらが上に飛び出す姿と、ダイビングする姿が何度も見れました。
しかし、これは運ですが、時期もシーズン直前ということで、一匹しか見れませんでした。
また、船はルール上くじらに近づける距離が決まっているため、ある程度離れた位置になります。

The crew was really awesome, the food was delicious and much more appealing than any Luau dinner that I have attended. I like the fact that cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served before dinner and the ceremony. I enjoyed the ambience of sailing on the ocean, during the ceremony. The captain of the vessel was a delight. I highly recommend this adventure.

I thought the boat tour hadn't started yet, but I found a tour here and contacted you right away. Thank you for your prompt response regarding the Japanese interpreter, even on such short notice. In the end, it was too early in the morning, so I couldn't make it, but it turned out to be a wonderful whale watching experience, and I was truly moved. I've been on boats many times, but it's been a while since I was able to capture a photo of a jump. The pictures I took with my smartphone are a bit blurry, but I'm so thrilled that I got to see and capture it. Thank you for your attentive support.

まだ船のツアーが始まっていないのかと思っていたのですが、こちらでのツアーをみつけ早速連絡させて頂きました。
急にもかかわらず、日本人通訳の事のお返事頂きありがとうございました。結局、朝早かったので、無理でしたが、とても素晴らしいホエールウォッチングになり感動しました。
何度も船に乗ってますが、ジャンプの写真が撮れたのは、久しぶりです。
スマホで撮ったのでボケてますが、見れたこと、撮れたことに感動です。

I absolutely wanted to visit Haleakalā when I went to Maui! Unfortunately, the sunrise wasn't very clear due to the weather. However, the sea of clouds was magnificent and had its own mystique. Everything was explained in English, and we could also borrow an audio guide. The guide was very considerate towards us, a Japanese couple, and spoke to us a lot. My husband, who doesn't speak any English at all, also enjoyed it. The pancakes for breakfast were delicious as well. I hope to see the sunrise next time I go to Maui!

マウイに行ったら絶対行きたかったハレアカラ山！ご来光はお天気の加減できれいに見えませんでした。でも雲海が素晴らしくてそれもまた神秘的でした。全て英語での説明。一応オーディオガイドもお借りできます。ガイドさんは私たち日本人夫婦をとてもよく気遣ってくださり、たくさん話しかけてくれました。全く英語が話せない主人も楽しんでいました。朝食のパンケーキもとても美味しかったです。次マウイに行く時はご来光がみれますように！

I was a bit worried about the early morning, or rather late night, pickup, but I was relieved when they arrived earlier than scheduled. Since it was an English tour, I was anxious, but the warm hospitality put me at ease. Also, the driver and guide, Neli, was fantastic!

It was a shame that I only understood about half of what was said, but he talked about important things in Hawaii (probably... haha) in a captivating way, which, combined with the enchanting nature of Haleakalā, made for a mysterious experience. During sunrise, he chanted, and that alone almost brought me to tears. It was truly a great tour. After descending the mountain, we enjoyed breakfast in a lovely place with a view of Haleakalā. MAHALO Nui Loa!!

早朝？というか夜中のピックアップで少し心配でしたが、予定より早く来てもらい安心しました。英語のツアーなので不安でしたが、温かい対応でほっとしました。また、バスを乗り換え、運転手兼ガイド、Neliが最高でした！！
半分ぐらいしかわからなかったのが残念でしたが、ハワイの大切なこととか（多分・・笑）話してくれるのですが、こちらが引き込まれるような語り方に、ハレアカラの幻想的な自然と相まって不思議な体験ができました。また、日の出の時には、チャントを唱えてくれてそれだけで涙が出そうでした。本当にいいツアーでした。山を下りてからの朝食も、目の前にハレアカラを望みながら、雰囲気のいいところでおいしく頂けました。MAHALO Nui Loa!!

Great trip! Nice cruising both ways. Took the 0900 ferry, had lunch at the Four Seasons, then caught the 1400 ferry back to Lahaina. We even had some whale sightings! Very nice. Have done this before, will do it again!

I wanted to sign up for the Japanese tour, but it was fully booked with no cancellations, so I reluctantly joined the English tour, which turned out to be the right decision. The van was large enough that I could use two seats by myself, making it quite spacious compared to the number of people, and they provided a Japanese tablet for explanations, so my anxiety about the language was alleviated. The meal at the golf course café was warm and delicious.

Unfortunately, it rained on the day of the tour, and at times it felt like we were driving through the clouds, so I couldn't see the scenery around us. However, when we reached the summit, the clouds cleared for a short time, and I was able to enjoy the crater and the sunset. The English tour ends at sunset, so we didn't get to see the starry sky, but I didn't feel disappointed since I thought the clouds would have blocked the stars anyway.

It can be cold at the summit, so it's best to dress warmly. There were participants in shorts and short-sleeve shirts who borrowed jackets from the driver, and they looked cold. I also spotted the Japanese tour vehicle at the summit, and compared to the English tour, it seemed smaller and likely cramped since it was fully booked. For those who get motion sickness, I recommend the larger van from the English tour.

日本語ツァーに申し込み希望でしたが、満席でキャンセルもなかったので、仕方なく英語ツァーに参加しましたが、結果的にはこれが大正解でした。
バンは大型で1人で2席が使えるほど人数に比べゆったりとしており、説明も日本語のタブレットを貸していただいたので、英語の不安はなくなりました。
食事もゴルフ場のカフェで温かい美味しくいただきました。
ただ、当日はあいにくの雨天で途中は雲の中を走っているようで周りの景色は見えませんでしたが、頂上に着くと短時間でしたが雲も去り、クレーターと夕陽を堪能できました。
英語ツァーは夕陽までで星空を見ないで帰ってしまいますが、この日は雲で星が見えなかったと思えるので、残念には感じませんでした。
頂上は寒いので防寒はしっかりいておいた方が良いですよ。短パン・半袖シャツで参加されていた方は、運転の方のヤッケを借りましたが寒そうでした。
なお、頂上で日本語ツァーの車を見かけましたが、英語ツァーに比べると小型で、かつ満席で窮屈だったのかなと思えました。
車酔いするかたは、英語ツァーの大きなバンがお薦めです。

We loved our day trip to Lana’i. We saw whales on the way to Lana’i right from the ferry. We rented a Jeep and enjoyed exploring the island. We enjoyed the 5th Friday festival en took the evening boat back. Great day!

Everything and everyone exceeded our expectations. Your greeted with a lei and a drink take you to your seats explain how things work suggest trying all the drinks on the menu answer any questions host is there with drinks & appetizers whenever you request show food drinks all great parking was free without having a long walk.. Highly recommended especially if you are only doing 1

My husband and I had date night and had an amazing time! Great Sunset, food and drinks. Everyone who worked on board was also fantastic and very helpful. I highly recommend.

The guide, the tour participants, and the weather were all great. It seems that the conditions were unusually good. Personally, I think I could have spent the time more meaningfully if I had prepared my listening skills.

ガイドさんとツアーの参加者、お天気の三点でよかった。まれに見るコンディションの良さだったらしいです。自分としてはリスニングを準備すればもっと有意義に過ごせたと思います。

Perfect amount of time. Food was delicious and staff was great. Loved the energy and music while cruising the coastline. We were there for 10 days with a large group so it was a perfect “getaway” one evening for me and my husband. Would definitely recommend this!

My first luau dinner I have been to and oh my! It was beyond beautiful! From the beginning the staff were friendly, smiling, welcoming and so welcoming, the open bar had some amazing most delicious drinks! The show at the end was breathtaking and so fun to watch!! Thank you to this company for giving us a great evening with delicious food and drinks and an amazing show! Thank you to our waiter too! Amazing!

It was a small group. And being so the crew was very personable and excellent and with the kids. It was nice having one on one time with various crew members.

As for the sights it was very poor visibility. The water due to abnormally large swells that had debris churned up. You couldn't see ten feet.

We did see lots of turtles and a few small fish. The divers did there best in showing us what they could. And they compensated us nicely in the end.

I would do it again.

I had requested a tatami seating area, but I ended up watching from the very front in the middle of the stage. Also, the staff crew was very considerate, and I truly appreciated the love and aloha of the night. Thank you very much.

Beautiful Evening! Great service and entertainment.

Aloha!!! Had an awesome time. Food was good as well as drinks. Loved the entertainment. I wore a dress with heels. I didn’t think that one through. My advice to the ladies...wear something flat footed and you will feel more sure footed on the boat. Would recommend this experience for everyone. There were all ages in the cruise including kiddos. Overall great experience for price.

The key to this excursian are the husband and wife do everything team. The only legitimate south Pacific experience on Maui. Thanks to the great staff. Everything else on the island felt fake-nice.

The cruise had a delayed start since they were waiting for a number of people from a large group (wedding party). It was great that they waited and they extended the length of the cruise to coincide with the time spent at the habour.
The staff who managed the bar were very efficient, they also provided the dance show which was very good. The Dance show made the evening!
Good food, and an enjoyable evening.

I arrived on Lanai Island by ferry and wanted to take the shuttle bus to the Four Seasons Hotel, but I missed it. However, a driver from one of the only two taxis on Lanai Island offered to help, and I was able to enjoy a tour of the island.

ラナイ島にフェリーで着いて、フォーシーズンズホテルのシャトルバスに乗りたかったけれど、乗り遅れていまいました。しかし、ラナイ島で２台しかないタクシーのドライバーが声をかかてくれて、島内観光が出来て楽しめました。

This is our first time to Maui and we had the most amazing experience with this dinner sail. The staff were so nice and personable from the beginning to the end. There happened to be a big pre-wedding party on board with us. We were initially worried that the passengers would be too many for the crew to handle. On the contrary, once we are on board, we did not feel crowded at all. There were plenty of food and drinks for everyone. The staff were so attentive that they made sure that everyone was taken care of. They even helped some of the guests to carry the food/drink to the upper deck when needed. The dance and cultural performance were very unique and created a nice ambience. The sunset view was so breathtaking!!

After the sunset, with the drink and dessert, all of the guests were seemed very relaxed and happy. The captain put on the music and some of the guests were dancing on the upper deck. It was great to see so many happy faces!

All and all, this is the best dinner cruise I have ever experienced. It had exceeded my expectation and I would recommend it to everyone going to Maui!

Coming to Hawaii/Maui for the first time was a dream vacation that came true. We booked The Pride of Maui Sunset Luau Dinner cruise with open bar& Polynesian dance. The cruise was a lot of fun. The crew members were very nice. The food was very tasty/ delicious, and the drinks at the open bar were exceptionally good! While we cruised the calm Pacific Ocean enjoying the beautiful scenery we also got to watch the hula dancers that were very nice and friendly,and amazing dancers. As the Pride of Maui sailed into the sunset was a breathtaking view. Then the full moon appeared from behind the mountain tops it was astonishing. The lovely songs that the hula dancers were singing made me feel very special and relaxed and welcomed.As our cruise come to an end the crew hugged us and thanked us for coming. So like you ever get a chance to visit Maui we would recommend you to book this beautiful experience! You will never forget it ! MAHALO!❤❤

The Sunset Cruise was OUTSTANDING!!!!! We visited Maui as a family of 12 people. We wanted to find something that allowed the kids as well as adults to enjoy. This AMAZING cruise was just that, there was enough seating for us all to hang out together as a family. The Polynesian dance was AWESOME, they encouraged audience participation which the kids really enjoyed. The crew were very friendly and welcoming as we boarded. I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting Maui.

I would recommend the Pride of Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise. The staff was very kind and generous, even offering to bring my drinks for me to the top deck. The food and drinks were amazing, entertainment/luau show was great. And a beautiful sunset capped off a great evening. Thank you for a great evening!
