On November 5th, we participated as a newlywed couple. Originally, we were scheduled to join on the 4th, but there was unusually heavy rain. However, the person in charge contacted us in the morning and said it would depend on the weather the next day. We were anxious about the possibility of cancellation, but despite the heavy rain in Oahu, miraculously, Maui had clear skies, and we were able to participate on the 5th.
The tour had a total of three participants, including one other participant. On the way to Haleakalā, we were taken to have a snack and made some stops along the way, which eased our nerves as we headed up the mountain. The weather that day wasn't great, and we couldn't see the sunset.
As for the starry sky, we patiently waited while enjoying our meal for the clouds to clear, and finally, we were able to see a 360-degree view of a starry sky like we had never seen before! The stories shared were fascinating, and it was truly a heart-clearing experience. I felt it would be great for students and newlyweds.
I want to see it again. If you go to Maui, you absolutely must see it!!! Even now that we are back in Japan, we are both raving about it.

１１月５日に新婚夫婦で参加させていただきました。
本当は４日に参加の予定が、珍しくも大雨。でも担当の方から朝掛けに連絡があり、翌日の天気次第でという対応をいただきました。キャンセルになる不安もありましたが、天気予報も当日のオアフも大雨の中、奇跡的にマウイは快晴になり、５日に参加ができました。
ツアーは他の参加者さん１名との計３名での参加でした。
ハレアカラに上るまえに、道中、おやつを食べに連れて行ってくれたり、寄り道をしながら、緊張もほぐれて、山へ。
この日は雲行きがあまりよくなく、夕日は見れませんでした。
星空のほうはというと、雲が抜けてくれるのをじっくりとご飯を食べたりしてまっていて、遂に３６０度、見たことのない星空をみることができました！
お話も興味深いものがあり、本当に心が澄み渡るような体験でした。
学生の人や、新婚さんにおすすめだなぁと感じました。
また、見たいです。
マウイに行ったら、絶対に見たほうが良い！！！
と、日本に帰った今でも２人で絶賛しています。

This was my first time participating, and I was truly satisfied! The smoothness from application to participation was great, but the sunset from Haleakalā was beyond words... I was reminded that the Earth is round and that it is so beautiful.
This time, I participated with my 7-year-old child and my husband. My child seemed a bit tired and was in a bad mood, but later I heard that they secretly felt very moved and definitely want to go again! When we looked at the stars through the telescope, they were excited to see Saturn's rings, which sparked their interest in astronomy.
My husband, who usually doesn't praise people much, was surprisingly full of compliments for Yamapi during this trip. The homemade bento we had on the bus from Yamapi was also very warm and delicious!
Personally, I really liked the atmosphere of the shop we stopped by along the way; it had a great energy.
Haleakalā... It became a tour that I definitely want to experience again as it is such a sacred place.

本当に大満足でした！！
申し込みから参加までのスムーズさももちろんですが、
ハレアカラからのサンセットは言葉で言い尽くせないほどの感動。。。
地球は丸いんだ。。地球はこんなにも美しいんだ。。。
と再確認しました。
今回は７歳の子どもとパパと３人での参加でしたが、
子どもはお疲れ気味だったのかちょっと機嫌が悪かったのですが
後で聞くと、また絶対行きたい！！！
と、密かにとても感動していたようでした。
天体望遠鏡で星を見たとき、土星の輪っか迄見えて天体に興味を盛ったようです。
普段は人をそんなに褒めることが無いパパですが、
今回の旅行ではヤマピーさんのことも大絶賛で以外でした。
バスの中で食べたヤマピーさんお手製のお弁当もとても
暖かく、美味しかったです♪
私的には途中で立ち寄ったクラのお店がとても雰囲気があって
とても好きなエネルギーの場所でした。
ハレアカラ。。。
とても神聖な場所で是非もう一度行きたいツアーになりました。

However, it turned out to be about 9500% better than I imagined, and I'm embarrassed that my expectations were so low. My three little ones returned home, each with their hearts full of emotion. It truly fulfills a parent's wish to have come to Maui.
With the inefficient 7mm lenses of our generation and the children's light reception systems that can absorb, analyze, and record any light, the experience must be different.
As a father from an old physics school, I tend to ignore phenomena that don't make theoretical sense. But in reality, I yearn for things and the universe that cannot be explained with words. This time, I was able to let my children experience a world that I wanted to convey but couldn't teach them.
Thanks to this opportunity, I will soon get an affordable telescope after returning home.
A few years from now, my children might come back with many questions. I would be grateful if they could learn from "Yamachan" again.
The participation certificate delivered to the hotel was promptly laminated and displayed on the children's desks.
P.S. The lunch was delicious! Unlike cost-focused boxed lunches, it was a menu that Japanese people could enjoy. My child, who usually dislikes vegetables, finished the simmered dish completely.

うちの3人のチビどもは、それぞれ感動を胸に秘めて帰りました。
頑張ってマウイ旅行に来た、親の冥利に尽きます。
我々の年代のような効率の落ちた7ミリのレンズと、どんな光でも吸収・分析・記録ができる子供たちの受光システムでは、きっと感動が違います。
父親の私は旧物理学校出身なので、理論的に筋が通っていない事象は無視します。
でも本当は、言葉で解明できない物や宇宙にあこがれます。
今回は、自分が子供たちに、伝えたくとも教えられなかった世界を体験させてもらえました。
きっかけを作っていただいたので、帰国後早々にお手軽な望遠鏡を入手します。
何年か後に、たくさんの質問を抱えて、子供たちがお邪魔するかもしれません。
また「やまちゃん」に勉強させてもらえれば幸いです。
ホテルに届けていただいた参加証明書は、さっそくラミネートして、子供達の机に飾りました。

コスト重視の仕出し弁当とは違い、日本人が美味しくいただけるメニューでした。
普段野菜を嫌がる子供が、煮物を完食していました。

自分は昔お爺ちゃんの住んでいた秩父にある羊山と言う所に連れられて
よく星を見たものでした。
星座とかはわからくても、その時の空気とか温度とかが今でも思い出されます。
その後空をみあげるようになり、ＵＦＯを小さい頃に見て専門誌を親に買ってもらい
巻末のＵＦＯ探知機！？の作り方にはまり、大学は電気工学でしたからね～笑
子供のうちに☆を見ることは本当に将来色々な形での
影響があるように思えてなりません。
うちのツァーは皆様が喜んでもらえるように元レストランシェフを生かしての

I participated in the stargazing option at Mauna Kea on the Big Island in the past, but it ended in disappointment due to bad weather. This time, I had high expectations for the stargazing at Haleakalā. First of all, I am filled with gratitude for our guide, Mr. Yamauchi. On the way to Haleakalā, we made various stops, including a famous donut shop and an ice cream shop in Maui, and I was surprised by the exceptional service we received. The explanations were thorough and very kind. The sunset was blocked by huge clouds, and just when I thought we might fail at stargazing again, thanks to Mr. Yamauchi's decision, we were able to see a magnificent starry sky a little below the summit. It was the first time I saw the Milky Way so clearly, and while listening to Mr. Yamauchi's stories, my husband was moved to tears. There were six participants in total, and we all lay on the ground at the end, imprinting the starry sky in our memories. It was the best option that made me realize how small and trivial my worries really are, prompting me to think about how I want to live my life moving forward. Lastly, the summit is really cold, so please dress warmly when you participate. I wore a T-shirt with a fleece and jeans, and even though I borrowed a thicker jacket and gloves on the day, I still felt cold. I think wearing tights and bringing hand warmers would be perfect.
私は過去にハワイ島のマウナケアスターゲイジングオプションに参加にましたが悪天候で残念な結果に終わり今回ハレアカラのスターゲイジングにかなり期待して参加しました。まずはガイドの山内さんに感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。ハレアカラに向かうまでの道で色々寄り道をして頂きマウイで有名なドーナツ屋さん、アイスクリーム屋さんに寄っていただき期待以上のサービスがあったのでびっくり。説明も丁寧でとても親切。サンセットは巨大な雲に邪魔され、今回もまたスターゲイジング失敗かと諦めたころ山内さんの判断で山頂から少し下がったところで素晴らしい満天の星空を見ることが出来ました。初めてあんなはっきりした天の川を見て、山内さんのお話を聞きながら私の旦那は涙していました。全員で6名の参加で皆で最後は地面に寝転び満天の星空を目に焼き付けました。自分の悩み事が本当に小さくつまらないことだとこれからの自分の生き方を考えさせてくれる最高のオプションでした。最後に、山頂は本当に冷えていますので、十分厚着をしてご参加下さい。私はTシャツにフリースを着込み、ジーパンで参加し、当日厚めの上着と手袋を貸してもらったのに寒いと思ったのでタイツを履いたりカイロを持っていったら完璧かなと思いました。

I joined the "Haleakalā Summit Sunset & Stargazing Tour" that I randomly found during a trip to Maui, which I decided on after being invited by a friend. It felt like fate (laughs).
I was lounging by the pool all day with my lazy friend, saying things like, "It's nice to drive to Haleakalā, but it's a bit far, and I'm worried about the way back. But if someone is taking us, I want to see the stars!" However, it turned out to be an incredibly well-organized tour (laughs).
Our guide, Yamapee, truly loves Maui. But he speaks really fast—he has so much to share with us that he just keeps speeding up, and it's true (laughs).
Even though I had only been away from Japan for two days, I was so happy to have Japanese bento and thought, "Warm tea is the best!" I found myself smiling like an old lady, enjoying those little moments outside of the activities.
The sunset in Maui felt like it was saying, "Welcome!" It blew away the daily hustle and small stresses. When I was surrounded by stars in the pitch-black darkness of a silent world, my heart simply trembled. I can't put it into words. I couldn't find the right words to express it. For the first time in my life, I felt a warmth deep in my belly, and tears overflowed.
Hearing my friend, who usually struggles to express emotions, say "Amazing" made me inexplicably happy (laughs).
By the end of the tour, I found myself wanting to thank Yamapee and feeling a sense of respect for him. It's strange, isn't it? Because Maui is wonderful and great (laughs).
If I could have seen the sunset here at Haleakalā as a child, my life might have changed. Even as I grow older and become a grandmother, how wonderful it would be to see the stars here at Haleakalā. たまたま見つけた「ハレアカラ山頂サンセット＆星空満喫ツアー」に参加。
これが運命でした（笑）
「ハレアカラにレンタカーで行くのはいいけど、ちょっと遠いし帰り道も心配だね
でも連れて行ってくれるんだったら、星もみたいしいいね~」なんて
面倒くさがりな友人と日がな一日をプールサイドで過していたのですが。
これがなんと、ふたをあければ至れり尽くせりのツアーでした（笑）
本当にマウイを愛しているんだな~と感じるYamapeeさんのガイド
でも実はとっても早口なんです~たくさんのことを私達につたえてくて

まだ２日しか日本を離れていないのに、日本食のお弁当が嬉しくって
やっぱりあったかいお茶よね~なんて、おばあさんみたいにニコニコになったり
そんなアクティビティ以外の所でその都度喜んでしまいました私たち。
マウイの夕日~夕空は「よくきたね」って言ってくれているようで
日々の慌しさ、小さなストレスを吹き飛ばしてくれましたね。
漆黒の闇、音の無い世界で星に囲まれたときにはただただ心が震えました。
言葉になりません。うまく伝える言葉も見つかれません。
私は今まで生きてきた中で、お腹のそこがじ~んと熱くなり
涙があふれたのは、初めてでした。
感動のわかりづらい一緒に行った友人がもらした「凄い」の一言
私はこの一言を聞けたこともなぜか凄く嬉しかったんです（笑）
そんなツアーが終わる頃には、なぜかYamapeeさんに感謝したくなる
なぜかYamapeeさんを尊敬してしまう自分がいて~
おかしいですよね、だってマウイがすばらしく＆マウイが偉大なのに（笑）
子供のときにここ、ハレアカラで夕日を見ることができたなら
人生が変わっていたかも。歳を重ねて、おばあちゃんになっても
ここ、ハレアカラに星を見ることができたら、どんなに素敵な人生だろう~
そんないろんなことを考えながら、日々またハレアカラに行く事を目標に

I had an amazing time on the tour, and it's no surprise that there are so many repeat visitors!
Previously, I participated in a stargazing tour on the Big Island of Hawaii, and since there was a high mountain and Subaru for astronomical observation in Japan, I honestly didn't have high expectations. (I'm sorry)
However, those expectations were wonderfully overturned. The starry sky and sunset were breathtaking, but what truly stood out was Mr. Yamauchi's passionate talks about stars and the universe. It made me realize how incredibly small I am in the vastness of billions of light-years.
Now that I'm back in Japan, I cherish the precious time I spent gazing at the stars, and it has become an unforgettable moment in my life. I received energy from Haleakalā, and I want to transform that energy into my own power next time!

Two years ago, I happened to join this tour, but the experience far exceeded my expectations. That's why, whenever I have the time, I return to Haleakalā to heal my tired body and mind. This tour itself has become a therapy for me that surpasses any pleasant spa or massage.

I participated in this tour with my mother because we wanted to see a beautiful sunset. The sunset at Haleakalā was even more wonderful than we expected, and we were enchanted by the pink-hued sea of clouds, taking lots of photos together.
As if that wasn't enough, the main event was stargazing! I was moved by the starry sky and felt the mysteries of the universe when looking through the telescope at the beautiful stars and planets. It might have been the most touching experience of my life! Even if you don't know much about stars, our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, explains everything in a fun and engaging way with his extensive knowledge, making it truly enjoyable. He's quite the star enthusiast (laughs).
Moreover, from stories about stars to our everyday events, Mr. Yamauchi's heartwarming tales really touched me and made me feel warm inside. It can be cold at the summit, but they lend you jackets, gloves, and blankets, so it's all good. It's also nice that they serve warm tea at just the right time.
Overall, it's a fun and moving tour, and I hope as many people as possible get to experience the beautiful sunset, the starry sky, and Mr. Yamauchi's kindness. I will definitely go again! Thank you for the wonderful experience, Mr. Yamauchi.

ハレアカラで見る夕焼けは期待以上にすばらしく、ピンク色に染まる雲海に
うっとりし、母と一緒にはしゃいでいっぱい写真を撮ってしまいました。
これだけでも大満足なのに、メインはスターゲイジングだったんですね~。
満天の星空に感動し、望遠鏡で見せてもらう美しい星たちや惑星には

I was captivated by the grandeur of nature and the mystery of the night sky, and I couldn't stop laughing at Yamapi's interesting stories.
He showed us plenty of stars, and his explanations were thorough, complemented by a light-hearted talk filled with dad jokes that made it enjoyable.
I strongly felt that our guide, Yamapi, had a genuine desire for his guests to have fun. Not only did he show us the sunset and stars, but he also took us to a popular donut shop along the way and showed us a crater that was used in a movie shoot. It was absolutely beautiful!
The stories were fun, the sunset and starry sky were breathtaking, and the bento was hearty and filling... In fact, the tour itself was so meaningful that time flew by, and you will definitely feel "full"!
This tour is an incredible "hit"! If you're going all the way to Maui, it would be a shame not to experience it! It will undoubtedly change your perspective on life!

このツアーは物凄い“あたり”です！！ マウイまで折角行くのでしたら、体験しないともったいない！！ いままでの人生観変わる事間違いなしですね~

It was a wonderful tour where I could clearly recognize that the sunset changes colors and dyes the sky, and that the Earth is round. I was able to see with my own eyes how many stars twinkle in the night sky. My parents were captivated by Yamapee's lively talk and were engrossed in gazing at the night sky. It was a heartwarming tour that cleansed the dust accumulated in our hearts, provided healing, and for some reason, moved us to tears.
My elementary school child was thrilled and cheered at the constellations they had only seen in textbooks. We could see an incredible number of stars with the naked eye, but with the telescope, we could observe them closely, and Yamapee's detailed explanations were easy for children to understand. They said, "It's much more interesting than what the school teacher talks about!" Thanks to this, their dislike for science has improved! Now, they are observing stars at home that are not easily visible.
I believe experiences from childhood become treasures for a lifetime, so participating in Yamapee's tour and creating wonderful memories was truly priceless. The fact that we could share those memories as a family is even more valuable! My child says with a big smile, "The best memory in Maui is going to Haleakalā." Thank you! Next time, I definitely want to go with my daughter to see the stars of a different season.

小学生の子どもは教科書でしか見たことのなかった星座の数々に大歓声をあげて興奮していました。 肉眼でも降ってきそうなくらいの数の星を確認できるのですが、望遠鏡でじっくりと観察できる上 Yamapeeさんの詳しい解説は子どもでも十分理解でき「学校の先生の話よりずっとおもしろい！！」と言っていました。 お陰で理科嫌いが改善されました~！ 今では自宅であまり見えない星を観測していますよ。
子どもの頃の体験は一生の宝になると思うので、今回Yamapeeさんのツアーに参加して、素晴らしい思い出を残してあげられたことは、まさにプライスレスです。親子でその思い出を共有できた事はもっと価値があります！！

I thought Haleakalā was famous for its sunrise, but I'm really glad I chose the sunset instead!!
Even if it's cloudy at ground level, it's fine at the summit because you're above the clouds. The hour after the sunset was incredibly beautiful.
The starry sky felt like it was going to fall down, and I was truly moved by the warm personality and thoughtfulness of our guide, Mr. Yamauchi. The stories about the stars were wonderful too☆
The chairs, warm blankets, and hot tea were really appreciated.

This was my first visit to Hawaii, and I also visited Maui for the first time. We came to Hawaii for our wedding and honeymoon, and since my husband loves stars and I love the sky, we decided to join this tour. I was much more moved than I had expected, and I definitely want to participate in this tour again. The sky, the stars, and our guide, Yama-chan, were all wonderful, and it brought back pure feelings from the past that can only be felt in this place. The relaxed hearts of the people of Maui, the slow passage of time, the sky, the rainbows, and the stars seemed to question us: why are we rushing through life so much? While there are truly beautiful sights and moments in Japan, it felt like something was calling to us more strongly here.
As my husband looked at the stars, he remembered his childhood feelings and was brought to tears. Yama-chan's wonderful explanations about the stars, the beautiful presentations, and the lovely stories further awakened our sincere feelings. At the summit, we were told that 80% visibility is good even with rain, and I was half disappointed and ready to give up thinking we wouldn’t see anything today. However, the rain cleared up, and we were able to see a double rainbow, which doubled our joy. The double rainbow is said to grant wishes, and I found myself sincerely wishing for something, which, looking back, may have been influenced by a mysterious pure feeling.
If we are blessed with children someday, I definitely want to return to that place when they grow up. The constellations we saw were winter constellations, but I want to visit in a different season and see the sky and stars with a sincere heart again. I was truly moved much more than I had anticipated. Yama-chan's repeated words, "the spirit of not giving up," are very important.
今回初めてハワイを訪れ、マウイも初めて訪れました。ウェディングとハネムーンをかねて訪れたハワイで、星が好きな旦那様と空が好きな私の意見があい、このツアーに参加しました。予想していたよりずっと、感動を抱き、必ずまたこのツアーに参加しようと思いました。空も星も案内人の山ちゃんも素敵で、この地でしか抱けない昔の純粋な思いがよみがえりました。マウイの人たちのゆったりとした心や、ゆっくりと流れていく時間、空、虹、星達が、今の自分達が何をそんなに急いで人生を過ごしていくの？と問いかけてくるようでした。日本でも本当に素敵な景色や時間は必ずありますが、何かもっと強く訴えてくるような感じでした。
旦那様は星を見ながら、子供の頃を素直を気持ちを思い出し、涙してました。
素敵な山ちゃんの星達の説明や、素敵な演出、素敵なお話がなお一層、素直な気持ちを呼び起こした気がします。山頂は雨で80％はきれいに見えるんですが。。。って言われて、今日は見れないな~って半分残念で諦めかけてたのですが、途中から
雨もあがり、ダブルレインボーも見れて、喜びは2倍でした。ダブルレインボーは
願いがかなうっていうことも、少し素直に願いごとをしてる自分がいて、今思えば何か不思議な純粋な気持ちがそうさせたのかもしれないですね。いつか、お子を授かれば、子供達が大きくなった時に、必ず、またあの地に戻りたいですね。
私達が見たのは、冬の星座達でしたが、また違う季節に赴いて、また素直な気持ちで空と星を見たいです。本当に思っていたよりずっと、感動をもらいました。
山ちゃんが何度となく言った言葉「諦めない気持ち」大切ですね。

I participated in this tour for my honeymoon. I believe that Japan is currently facing a lot of serious crime and that there are many stressed individuals. Although I joined this tour during what should be the happiest time of my life, I honestly had many anxieties about relationships and parenting in my future, which caused me stress. However, after participating in this tour, under a sky full of stars, listening to Mr. Yamauchi's talk, I was filled with the desire to fully enjoy this brief life of less than 100 years and to live peacefully with nature every day. It would be such a waste to go all the way to Maui and not visit Haleakalā, and to return without seeing the sunset or the starry sky there! (laughs) At first, I thought it would be simple, like "I can see the sunset and the stars from the top of the mountain," but I was already overwhelmed by Haleakalā before the sunset. The vast crater spread out before me, along with the nene and silversword plants. It was filled with things I had never seen or experienced before. Looking at the unique nature of Hawaii that remains in Haleakalā, I couldn't help but wonder what ancient Hawaii was like...
The sunset, with its colors changing every second, took my breath away. I couldn't afford to look down! (laughs) The changes in the sky after the sun went down were even more beautiful! The happiness of being able to exclusively enjoy that sky with just the people on this tour at the mountaintop, where no one else was around!
The beauty of the starry sky is beyond words. I never imagined there could be so many stars in the sky! It was astonishing. Yamapee showed us many stars and explained them, but more than that, through the stars, he made me reflect on my life, my role, the importance of peace, and so much more. It felt less like looking at a starry sky and more like looking at the universe. My usual worries seemed so trivial.
I had planned to wish on a shooting star for the year-end lottery, but that seemed unimportant after all (though after returning home, I thought maybe I should have made that wish—laughs). I was filled with gratitude for Haleakalā and the starry sky, which made me realize many things and reset my heart. I appreciate Yamapee's thoughtfulness in providing comfortable chairs, blankets to keep warm, and even warm tea when I was feeling cold, ensuring that we could truly enjoy ourselves. せっかく遠いマウイに行って、ハレアカラに行かずに、そしてハレアカラのサンセットや星空を見ずに帰ってきてしまうのは、あまりにもったいないです！（笑）
最初は「山の上でサンセット見て、お星様が見られるのねー」なんて簡単に思っていたのですが、サンセットの前にすでにハレアカラに圧倒されていました。
目の前に広がる広大すぎるクレーター、そしてネネや銀剣草。
見たことないこと、経験したことないことだらけでした。
ハレアカラに残るハワイ固有の自然を見て、昔のハワイはどんなところだったのだろうと思いを馳せたり・・・。
そして一秒ごとに空の色が変わっていくサンセットは息をのみました。
下を向いてる場合じゃありません（笑）。
陽が沈んでからの空の変化はまた一層素敵！！
自分で見に行ってたら、陽が沈んだところで寒さに負けて帰ってしまっていたでしょうね。
それを見せてくれるのもYamapeeさんのツアーだからこそなんですよねー。
他にはだーれも居なくなった山頂で、あの空をこのツアーのみなさんとだけ独占できる幸せ！！

I was taken by my sister to participate in the ☆Maui Allstars tour!☆ and I became captivated by the charm of this tour.
As we slowly drove to acclimate to the high altitude of Haleakalā, the conversations with Yamapee and the background music in the car... I felt they only heightened my anticipation for the experiences to come. And the cluster of “silver sword” flowers we saw near the summit—it's said that this year has an unusually high number of blooms... Lucky!
The sunset at the summit! From orange to crimson, and then from deep purple to pitch black... Being able to immerse myself in the ever-changing nature during that timeless moment! I really want many people to feel this excitement. If you get tired of being chased by time in the big city, I recommend visiting the healing island of Maui. Surely, you will sense something special!
Moreover, the joy of finally encountering a sky full of stars, which has been a dream for decades, is beyond words. Especially, meeting the Milky Way made one of my dreams come true. Hooray!
As someone who has passed the halfway point of life, I want to be in that great nature and timeless flow once again... and to spend blissful moments embraced by the starry sky. Really, I feel a rush!

ハレアカラが高地のためその環境に慣れるためゆっくり車を進められる間の

そして、山頂付近で見た“銀剣草”の花の群れ

I have been to Maui many times, and each time I participate in this tour, it becomes an unforgettable experience.
Perhaps it's because of the nature of Maui, but it's often said that Maui is a place that evokes memories. I truly believe that. It feels like home, a comforting place. Among all the experiences, the Maui All Stars Tour refreshes my spirit every time I go, and each visit brings different emotions. The journey to Haleakalā, the views from the car window along the way, the sea of clouds from the summit, the sun setting on the horizon, and the starry sky above... and then there's our guide, Mr. Yamauchi.
His warm, personable guidance and the detailed explanations about the stars were incredibly enriching. I can confidently say that this is a very worthwhile tour, just thinking about it brings back so many great memories.
It will undoubtedly become a lifelong memory, especially for couples, so I highly recommend participating!
私は何回もマウイに行っているのですが、そのたびにこのツアーが忘れがたく、参加しています。
マウイという土地柄のせいなのか、マウイは何かを思い出す場所、とよく言われます。私も本当にそうだと思います。故郷のような感じで、落ち着く場所です。
そのなかでも、このマウイオールスターズツアーは何回いっても心が洗われる気がし、また、行く度に違った感動をあたえてくれます。あの、ハレアカラまでの道のり、途中の車窓や山頂からみえる雲海、地平線へと沈んでいく太陽、そしてあの満天の星空……そして、ガイドの山内さん。

It was reassuring to have everything in Japanese. The explanations about nature and the stars were easy to understand, which was great. I felt the temperature drop steadily from sunset until the stars appeared, but it was so enjoyable that I forgot about the cold. I participated on a friend's recommendation, and it turned out to be a great experience. The bento we ate in the microbus was also delicious. I participated in October, but I would like to go again at a different time. Thank you very much.
やっぱり日本語なのが安心でした。自然や星の説明もわかりやすくて良かったです。日没から星が見えてくるまでどんどん冷え込みを感じましたが、寒さも忘れられるくらいでした。友人のすすめもあって参加してみましたが良い経験となりました。マイクロバス内で食べたお弁当も美味しかったです。１０月に参加しましたがまた違う時期にも行ってみたいです。ありがとうございました。

In late August, I participated in a tour with my children! I have visited Maui many times, but one of the goals this time was stargazing. I wanted to show my children, who rarely have the chance to see stars, a sky full of them, and of course, I wanted to see them too and be moved by the experience! With that thought in mind, I found the ☆Maui Allstars tour☆ organized by Mr. Yamauchi!
While munching on a delicious Krispy Kreme sugar-glazed donut, we slowly drove up to the summit. Enjoying the scenery of pineapple fields sprawling at the foot of Haleakalā, vast ranches, and the Kula Lodge, the pleasant music playing in the car made my heart race with excitement. At one point, when Mr. Yamauchi opened the car window, a refreshing breeze flowed in, and before I knew it, a sea of clouds appeared below us! After getting out of the car, Mr. Yamauchi explained the ecosystem and geography of Haleakalā in detail.
When we reached the summit, it truly felt like the "House of the Sun." It was a very mystical sacred place! The crater, which was said to be the filming location for "2001: A Space Odyssey," had an overwhelming scale that made it hard to believe it was on the same planet. The sunset from 3,000 meters above sea level was quite magical. Every second, the sky transformed into shades of orange and crimson without ever showing the same expression... During this time, Mr. Yamauchi was busy taking photos of us participants and pointing out the Earth’s shadow (isn't that amazing?).
After the sun set, we returned to the car for dinner. Having eaten mostly Western food in Maui, the bento box we received was surprisingly delicious. The warm tea was also comforting. As soon as I sat down in the chair provided and looked up at the sky, countless stars filled my vision. The Milky Way, shooting stars—everything I had hoped for was there! It was truly a natural planetarium! Mr. Yamauchi used a telescope to show us many stars, including the Pleiades and the Andromeda Galaxy. He also shared many moving stories! His grand view of the universe seemed to remind us of important things we often forget. I am confident that the children also felt something significant!
It was truly a satisfying tour, thanks to Mr. Yamauchi's warm and attentive guidance. Just having the materials is not enough; it really takes a professional to create an experience.

自分も見たい、感動したい！！そんな思いを胸に出会ったのが山内さんが主催する☆Maui Allstars tour！☆でした。
クリスピークリームのシュガーグレーズドのドーナツ（これがまた美味しいんですっ！）を口にほおばりながら、車はゆっくりと山頂へ。ハレアカラの裾野一面に広がるパイナップル畑、広大な牧場、クラロッジ、猫屋敷など景色を楽しみながら、車内に流れる心地よい音楽も手伝って期待に胸がワクワク、ドキドキ、
途中、山内さんが車の窓を開けるとひんやり冷たい空気が車内に流れ込んで、気がつけば波のような雲海が眼下に！！ 車を降りて、山内さんからハレアカラの生態系や地理など詳しく教えて頂きました。
山頂に到着するとそこはまさに”太陽の家”。とっても神秘的な聖地！
”２００１年宇宙の旅”のロケ現場になったと云うクレーターはとても同じ地球上のものとは思えない圧倒的なスケール！そして、山頂３０００メートルから臨むサンセットはかなり幻想的。一秒、一秒、決して同じ表情を見せることなく空を橙色、茜色に染めて、、、その間、山内さんは私達参加者の写真を撮ってくれたり、アースシャドウ（地球の影、ってスゴクないですか~）に気付かせてくれたりとフル稼働！
日が落ちてからは車中に戻ってディナータイム。マウイでは洋食ばかり口にしていたので、頂いた幕の内弁当が妙に美味しかった。暖かいお茶もなごみました。
車外にでて、用意して頂いた椅子に座り空を見上げたとたん無数の星が目に飛び込んできました。ミルキーウェイ、流れ星、私が期待してたものが全てありました！まさに天然プラネタリウム！！山内さんからは天体望遠鏡を使って、昴やアンドロメダ星雲など沢山の星を見せて頂きました。そして、感動的なお話も沢山！
彼の壮大な宇宙観は、普段私達が忘れてしまっている大切な事を思い出させてくれたような気がします。そして、子供達にも何か絶対伝わったハズと確信してます！

It's also appealing that even children can safely drive up this mountain. Kids capture the stars in the universe with pure, straight eyes, so I definitely recommend seeing the stars while they're still young. We call this starry sky "Tenpura." (laughs) It's a natural planetarium. We're looking at light that traveled here thousands of years ago, so there are stars that won't be visible next year. Children are very welcome—looking forward to seeing you again!

I am a repeat participant in the Maui All Stars Tour. When you think of Maui, you think of nature and the ultramarine blue sea, but the starry sky seen from Haleakalā brings new emotions every time I experience it. The silver stars shining in the night sky can blow away any darkness in your heart. If you keep your head down in worry, you won't be able to see the stars. By participating in this tour, everyone can lift their heads and gaze at the starry sky with ease. I believe that the tears that naturally fall are due to the sense of security that comes from being watched over by the stars. Our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, has a heart as beautiful as the starry sky. I think the warmth I feel is thanks to him. His attentive service is simply wonderful. There are so many things that words cannot express. Please be sure to participate in the tour. I am sure you will create a wonderful story. I will definitely visit this tour again.

I initially planned to travel only to Oahu, but I participated in this tour based on a recommendation from an acquaintance who said that if you're going to Hawaii, you absolutely must go to Maui. I'm truly glad I joined this tour. I believe everyone should experience this incredible feeling! So, I highly recommend it to all of you.
I've participated in various tours at different travel destinations before, but I would be willing to go to a place just for this tour! No, I want to go again! I absolutely will go again! This is the only tour that made me feel this way: the Haleakalā Sunset & Stargazing Tour.
What’s amazing is the natural beauty that can only be seen on Maui, the vibrant sunsets, the twinkling stars, the moonlight... it’s simply exquisite! (You can see this clearly from the comments of others.) Honestly, it’s beyond words!!!
Moreover, the reason I recommend "this" tour is because of the wonderful guide, Yamapee, who helps us internalize the beauty of nature that we thought could only be seen in Maui. It’s natural that he has extensive knowledge of astronomy, geography, and history. Based on that, he helps us feel the importance of nature, the heart, and the future, making it understandable even for someone as clueless as me.
It’s not difficult like school studies, nor is it pushy; it’s much more heartwarming, and he conveyed so much warmth during the limited time of the tour. (I’ll leave the details for those who participated to enjoy...)

何がスゴイかって、マウイ島でしか見られない自然のすばらしさや美しさ、
あざやかなサンセットや、星の瞬き、月の灯り、、、、、それはもう絶品！

もう、もう、本当にね、言葉では語りつくせないほどです！！！！！
そして、それ以上に、私が「この」ツアーをおすすめするのは、
マウイでしか見ることのできないと思っていた自然の美しさを
私たちの心の中に落とし込んでくれるガイドのYamapeeさんのすばらしさ。
天文・土地・歴史などの知識が豊富なのは、当然のこと。
そういうものをベースにして、自然の大切さや心の大切さ、未来の大切さを
今の自分の生きている場所（私の場合東京です）の生活の中でも
感じることができるように、こんなお馬鹿な私にもわかるように、
かみくだいて自然に気がつかせてくれるのです。
学校の勉強のように難しいことでもなく、おしつけでもなく
もっとハートウォーミングな心がぽかぽかと暖かくなることを、
限られたツアーの時間の中で、彼にはたくさん伝えてもらいました。
（内容は参加した人だけのお楽しみに、私が言うのは避けておきますが。。。）
マウイに行く前と行った後で、東京の空は、たぶん少しも変わっていないんだけど
☆が一個でも出ているだけで、私はなぜか癒されるようになってしまいました。
あ~、マウイの空も、この空もおんなじなんだよなぁ、、、って
今でも、あの時の気持ちをよーく思い出します。
（ちなみに私が行ったのは、2005年の夏ですから、もうだいぶ前ですね、、、）

あまり褒められると木に登るタイプなので、、笑 でもきっと星を見たい人は同じ周波数があるような気がします。よく言うんですけどわざわざ寒い山に登って星を見たいと思うのは良い意味で変わり者ですからね。笑 興味が無い人はきっとお買い物三昧でき暖かい所で寝転んでいたいものです。人間の欲求は永久にあってなかなか止められないものなので、どこかでピリオドを打って自然に目を向けられるのが安らぐ秘訣なのでしょう。お年寄りが花に水をあげて成長を喜ぶように、他人が喜ぶ事をきっと自分の幸せに置き換えられたら素晴らしいのでしょうね。常に感謝です。

In Maui, while there are many sunrise tours, I wasn't confident about waking up early, so I searched and found this sunset and stargazing tour. As a result, I was able to relax by the sea and poolside in the morning, and the guide, Mr. Yamauchi, provided a rich tour filled with laughter and emotion, making it the highlight of my trip. Last time, I forgot to make a wish to the spirits, so I definitely want to participate again!
マウイはサンライズツアーが多い中、早起きに自信がなかった私は探しに探して、このサンセット＆星空ツアーにたどり着きました。
結果、午前中は海やプールサイドでノンビリできたし、山内さんのガイドは笑いから感動までと内容の濃いツアーだったので、旅一番の思い出になりました。
山頂でのひとときは慌しい日常やストレスを完全に忘れさせてくれます。
雲海に日が沈んでゆく様には、我を忘れてボーっと(呆然と？）見入ってしまいました。
そんな私たちの写真を撮ってくれていた山内さんのカメラには精霊までもが写っていました。
こんなのって日本じゃ絶対に見られない現象ですよね。
ちなみに、ハレアカラの精霊に願い事をすると願いがかなうと言われてるそうです。
日没後の夜空には日本では見たこともないような満天の星･･･
天の川も肉眼で見ることができたのには超感動でした☆
その星空の下で、山内さんが静かに、でも熱心に語ってくれる星や宇宙の話にはとてもジーンときてしまいました。。。
ホント涙が出てもおかしくないです。
ハレアカラ山頂は本当に寒いですが、至れり尽くせりのツアーで心はぽかぽかになりました。
是非たくさんの人にあの感動を味わってもらいたいです。

I participated with two friends. In the morning, we relaxed at the beach, and from 3 PM, we joined this tour. Haleakalā is about the same height as Mount Fuji, and we took our time going up, while our guide, Yamapee, shared stories about Maui's history, nature, geography, and culture as we enjoyed the scenery from the car. I thought it was just going to be about the stars, so I felt very lucky!
The sunset was breathtaking, with the deep blue sky gradually turning red, and we witnessed the rare green flash! It transported us into a world of darkness and silence. The gradient of colors was something I had never seen before! I realized how many vibrant colors there are.
As for the starry sky, we could see so many stars that I wondered which one was the North Star. However, with the latest telescope, they explained the birth of stars, constellations, and the future of the universe, which left me very satisfied. We even saw shooting stars and satellites!
I have been to a sunrise before, but I think the sunset is better! Watching the beautiful sky and stars made me feel so happy that I went to bed feeling content. Also, the heartfelt hospitality from our guide, Yamapee, was wonderful. I am thinking of going again in February next year to see the spring constellations! I believe there is no other tour that satisfies all five senses! It will change your perspective on life! I highly recommend participating!
友人と3人で参加しました。午前中は、海でゆっくり遊んで、午後3時から、このツアーに参加しました。
ハレアカラは、富士山と同じぐらいの高さで、ゆっくり、休憩を取りながら上がったのですが、車中、景色を見ながら、マウイの歴史、自然、地理、文化の話などをガイドのYamapeeさんがしてくれました。星の説明だけだと思っていたので、とってもラッキーでした！
サンセットは、真っ青な空が、序々に赤へと染まりだし、めったに見れないグリーンフラッシュ！そして、暗闇で静寂の世界へと連れていってくれました。今まで見たことのない色のグラデーション！色ってこんなにもあって、鮮やかなんだな~って。
星空の方は、どれが北極星？というぐらいたくさんの星が見れました。でも、ちゃんと、最新の望遠鏡を使って、星の誕生、星座、未来の宇宙のことを説明してくれたので、大満足でした。流れ星も人工衛星も見れましたよ！
私は、サンライズにも行ったことがあるのですが、サンセットの方がいい！と思います。キレイな空と星を眺めて、幸せな気分でベットに入って、おやすみｚｚｚですので・・・
あとは、やっぱり、ガイドのYamapeeさんのハートフルなおもてなしでしょうか。また、来年2月に春の星座を見に行きたいと思っています！五感すべてを満足させてくれるツアーは他にはないと思います！人生観変わりますよ~！！ぜひ、参加してみてください！

I participated in this tour for the first time just last year at the end of the year. I remember the driver who picked me up at my condo saying that the tour led by Mr. Yamauchi is different from ordinary tours, and since he is a star expert, it will surely be an amazing experience. Then this summer, I came back to Maui again to join this tour! This time, the weather was favorable, and I was able to witness a wonderful sunset and a sky full of stars like I had never experienced before. 滞在先のコンドミニアムまでピックアップに来てくれたドライバーの方が、今回連れて行ってくれる山内さんのツアーはそんじょそこらのツアーとは一味違うし、彼は星博士だからきっと感動するよ~と一生懸命に言っていたのを覚えてます。でも、残念ながらこの時は天候が悪く星を見ることができませんでした・・・。
そして今年の夏・・このツアーに参加するため再びマウイにやって来ました！
今回は、天候にも恵まれこれまでに体験したことのない素晴らしい夕日と満天の星を見ることができました。刻々と変わりゆく雲海上のサンセットを見ながら、ポイントポイントで写真を撮ってもらいました。そして、車の中で温かいお弁当とお茶をいただいた後、待ちに待った瞬間がやってきます。空を見上げるのをグッとこらえ、山内さんが用意してくれたリラックスチェアーに腰を下ろし（暖かい膝掛け毛布も用意されています）ここで初めて空を見上げました。目の前に広がる大パノラマにしばらく言葉が出ませんでした・・。そして、ステキな曲とともに山内さんの星の説明や限りない宇宙へのお話、人間のちっぽけさなどのお話が始まります。感動のあまり涙してしまう人も・・・（実は私も！？）
このツアーの魅力は、山内さんのお人柄によるものが大きいと思います。
ツアーに参加されていた子供さん達にさえも手を抜くことなく楽しんでもらおうという姿勢が伝わってきました。
私も今まで色々なツアーに参加しましたが、終始こんなに至れり尽くせりの優しさや思いやり溢れるツアーは初めてでした。ハワイに来ると不思議と自然にやさしい気持ちになれるのですが、山内さんのツアーに参加した後はそれ以上にやさしくなれる自分がいます。是非、この感動をたくさんの人に味わってもらいたいです！！

I love Hawaii and have visited many times, participating in various tours. I truly feel that the tour experience is determined by the guide! I got completely hooked after joining a tour last summer♪
The view of the sea of clouds and the sunset from the summit is indescribably beautiful. (The sky after the sun sets is especially stunning!) After enjoying a delightful Japanese bento and warm tea, we finally moved on to stargazing☆☆
The explanations about the stars and the love for the universe under the starry sky reflect the essence of life itself. That is an emotional experience you can't find anywhere else! I couldn't help but bring a few dear friends along to share it with them (＾＾) Everyone was moved to tears... I was so satisfied~♪
They even stop by the delicious Krispy Kreme donuts. I believe this tour will continue to gain repeat customers through word of mouth!!

I participated in this tour in November. Since I was joining alone, I was a bit anxious at first, but I felt reassured to see others who were also solo travelers, friends, and even newlyweds. Everyone was really nice, and I made some wonderful friends there.
Now, I’m really glad I participated in this tour. The journey was filled with fields of sugarcane, horses, and cows, making the trip enjoyable and exciting. The crater where part of "2001: A Space Odyssey" was filmed was incredibly majestic, and I saw a perfectly round rainbow that felt otherworldly. The sunset from the viewpoint at 3,055 meters was so beautiful it almost brought me to tears. The 360-degree sunset, the fleeting green horizon visible only for a moment as the sun set, and the sea of clouds dyed in lavender were all sights I had never seen before.
The lunch was delicious and catered to Japanese tastes, and they even provided warm tea, down jackets, and blankets—everything was well thought out. The stargazing was fantastic; I saw the moon's craters, the Andromeda Galaxy, and the Milky Way, which left me very satisfied. I heard that Saturn can be seen in winter, so I definitely want to go again someday.

一人での参加だったので最初は少し不安に思っていたのですが、私と同じ一人の方や友達同士、そして新婚さんと色々な方が参加していて安心しました。とっても良い人達ばかりで、そこで素晴しい友達もできました。
さて、このツアー、参加して本当に良かったです。
途中の道には一面のさとうきび畑、馬や牛たち、行くまでの道のりも楽しくて、テンション上がりっぱなし。
「2001年宇宙の旅」の一部が撮影されたという火口はすっごく壮大で、サークル状の真ん丸な虹も見れてこの世のものとは思えないくらいの素晴しい景色でした。標高3,055ｍにあるポイントから見た夕日も、涙が出そうになりました。360度の夕焼け、日が暮れた時ほんの一瞬だけ見える緑色の地平線、ラベンダー色に染まる雲海。初めて見るものばかり。
お弁当は日本人好みで美味しかったし、温かいお茶、ダウンジャケットにブランケットまで用意してくれていたれりつくせり。スターゲイジングは月のクレーターとかアンドロメダ星雲とか、天の川が見れて大満足でした。冬は土星が見れるらしいので、いつか絶対にまた行きたいと思います。
