Maui
Amazing experience , great crew. We were able to see 3 turtles which make it so special the tour
Thank you for joining us! We hope to see you again.
This was the main tour of my trip to Hawaii. However, I thought I had enough time and went to Paia, which caused me to miss the meeting time for the tour. Just when I was at a loss, I received a call from our guide, Yamapi, who was able to pick me up along the way. I'm so grateful!
The sunset and starry sky from the summit were more beautiful than I could have imagined. I was surprised to even see the Southern Cross. It was a wonderful experience, thanks to Yamapi for helping me and teaching me about the stars. Thank you very much!
I was overwhelmed by the majestic landscapes of Maui, and my heart was captivated by the sparkling sea and beautiful nature. Above all, the guide explained the island's history and plants in clear English, which made me feel close to Maui. It was a day filled with continuous amazement. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review!! We are so happy to learn that you loved our island. There is a reason Maui is world famous. It truly is a magical, and impressive place to explore. We wish you all the best!
I'm not going complain about the food, it's good but they need to improved their seating and luau stage, you have to be vip to be able to see the performance. All you see it's people's head if you are seated in the middle or back seat. The dancers don't give a chance to take a nice picture. Not recommend unless you pay vip
Happy you enjoyed the food. Sorry to hear you didn't have a great view from your seat. I wish you had said something to a manager so we could have tried to accommodate. We will soon be moving to an elevated stage but have to wait for approval from the county liquor department. Until then we have added elevated seating in the back to help guests be able to see better that are seated in the farthest rows. We also try to put groups with children close to the front so the children can see since they are shorter. We hope you were still able to enjoy the music and show and hope you will give us another chance in the future.
Crew was entertaining and extremely helping in making the trip safe and fun, wil book again on our next trip
We were visiting Maui for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and celebrating with our 4 children and spouses and 7 Grandkids - 16 total. We wanted a small boating trip that would accomodate everyone's individual ideas of a snorkeling trip - not too long, too many people, too choppy, etc. Then I found Aloha Blue charters online, it sounded perfect. They had a 2 hour private afternoon boat trip available for a reasonable price for the whole boat. Our Captain Larry and assistants Jeren and Sienna were a delightful team that made our trip very memorable. 13 of us were in the water for a little over an hour enjoying the underwater sealife and the others watched and enjoyed themselves on board. I would recommend this "customized" trip (2-4 hours - snorkeling, sightseeing and/or fishing) to all families visiting Maui that don't want what is offered on most of the more expensive trips advertised. We will book again on a return visit. Thanks!, Vicki and Jack
We took the ferry over to the neighboring island of Lana’i and spent the day there. Our awesome tour guide, Clive regaled us with stories of his life there on Lana’i and took us to the Garden of the Gods (looks like Mars landscape), then checked out Shipwreck Beach, visited the Cat Sanctuary and then spent the rest of the afternoon in Hulopo’e Beach.Thank you to Clive for bring friendly, knowledgeable and making us feel like ohana!
Great vacation activity to be a part of super nice scenery and I definitely would do it again.
Accommodation was in Kaanapali, and we were to meet at 8:45 AM.
The reviews mentioned it would take about an hour. In hindsight, that was based on a time when there was no traffic and no getting lost.
We decided to take the longer route. The reason was that we thought it would be easier and clearer to drive on a straight road without going through the city.
I estimated that it would take about two hours, allowing for some extra time.
On the day of the trip, however, my hotel alarm clock was broken, and I woke up at the scheduled departure time, leaving 15 minutes late.
Even so, I felt relaxed thinking that there would be little traffic on the longer route.
As we actually drove, it took less than 30 minutes to feel like we were on a mountain road. There were hardly any cars, and I thought we might arrive early while enjoying the scenery.
After a while, the road began to narrow, and I stopped seeing any houses; the only thing in sight was a warning sign for falling rocks.
At this point, I felt I couldn't turn back and had to trust my instincts to keep going.
As the meeting time approached, I was filled with anxiety, but then I saw a sign for horseback riding, and I was so relieved and excited.
We managed to arrive just in time, taking about 100 minutes.
We completed the check-in, and other participants started to gather. The briefing on horseback riding safety began at the scheduled time.
I can hardly speak English, but they kindly assisted me, and I understood the instructions on how to ride and the precautions through gestures.
Finally, it was time to ride. I was the first to get on a horse, and surprisingly, it was quite easy to mount, which relieved me. There were even small children riding.
The course was a mountain path with ups and downs, and we rode slowly, which made it enjoyable and pleasant. I had the leisure to enjoy the scenery as well.
When we reached our destination after descending the mountain, there was an explanation about the history of the area. On the way back, we took a different route for part of the journey.
It was a great experience, and I had so much fun.
By the way, the return trip took about 90 minutes on the shorter route.
I would love to go again someday, this time taking the shorter route (laughs).

We went to the top of Haleakala with Yoshi, and it was a wonderful experience. We felt safe which was great. I would recommend going with a tour if you're going to go stargazing because the drive down the mountain esp in the dark can be a little daunting....no guardrails between 7,000-10,000 ft, winding roads on side of cliff, with no/very little lights on the sides of the road.
The stars and the sunset were breathtaking!!! We were literally above the clouds. Everything was provided like hot tea, blankets, warm jackets, a telescope and a pair of stand-up binoculars.
Highlight of our trip. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness of our tour guide Yoshi - the donuts for everyone, opportunities for photo taking...Thank you Yoshi!!!
Must do in Maui best excursion ever.
The check-in lines were confusing. Not enough clarity on which line was for preferred attendees and which was for general. Stood in the wrong line for 20 minutes before realizing we were in the wrong one. Check-in was about 20 mins late, which added to the frustration. The lawn at the Sheraton was not in great shape which was surprising compared to other times we've visited the property. Drinks were okay but the food and entertainment were very good. Overall, a good time for our families but was hoping for a bit more for the price.
The view was amazing. We were so well taken care of... the guide has been doing this for 20 years and HE made the experience. I would recommend this excursion. It was beyond what we expected!
It was a fabulous cruise with a great crew, food, music snd drinks!
Nice and easy water cycling, first time doing it but caught on quick!
The clear water in Maui was so nice and we saw so many local island fishy!
Mahalo for joining us!
The sunset through the clouds was what we were waiting to see on Maui! Was unreal!
Had an excellent experience - pickup from our location on the western side of Maui was easy and extremely convenient. The guide, Yoshi, is very friendly and knowledgeable about the island, and a very courteous travel leader. It's a long ride up the mountain, but there are plenty of spots to acclimate to the changes. It gets cold no matter the time of year, but the provided coat and warm drinks will help considerably! Still, safe to bring more warm gear like a hoodie.
The sunset and stargazing part of the tour are breathtaking. It's a truly one of a kind location and expeeience that I can't recommend enough to anyone curious about it.
Too many people for the size of the boat. Hot dogs (what can I say). Afternoon is a snorkel near to the coast that is accessible from shore (not their fault except the say they will try to go to Molikini when there is zero chance in the afternoon). Best advice is to get up early if you really want a good snorkel experience and find a boat the is not so crowded.
I would highly recommend this activity. Everyone was so kind, since I was a little nervous, and helped me calm my fears. They are knowledgeable and fun as guides. And it was great that our party of 8 all got to ride together in solo ATVs! The only thing that could have made it even better is a little longer stint in the "free like a bird" ride...lol. But overall we all had a great time
I can't recommend this trip enough. We had a fantastic boating experience, the snorkeling was wonderful and the crew was the best. They went above and beyond and really worked to make the experience a special one. And the food was excellent, too. My wide and I had truly amazing time.
Our entire family (ages 17 to 55) really enjoyed this tour. Yoshi was a great guide and made sure we enjoyed the experience by providing chairs, warm clothing, blankets, and hot drinks. He also took pictures and gave hints on taking great pictures. Haleakalā is a great experience and is truly another world. You go above the clouds at 10K feet, so you don’t need to worry about visibility, and the star gazing is amazing. Unique and great experience!
I took a day trip to Lanai Cat Sanctuary, using the ferry that departs Maui at 6:30 AM and returns from Lanai at 5:30 PM.
Both on the way there and back, you just need to show the reservation email or state your name at the boarding area, and the staff will quickly confirm and issue your ticket using a tablet. The ferry has plenty of seating, and they broadcast what seems to be a local Hawaiian TV station.
I didn't feel much on the way there, but on the return trip, the waves were higher in the evening, causing the ferry to sway significantly, and I experienced severe motion sickness. According to my family, there is a part where the ferry briefly goes out into open water, which can change the tide flow suddenly.
When I immediately told the staff that I felt unwell, they handed me a bag and instructed me to "go out to the deck." Many passengers followed suit, so it seems that motion sickness is quite common. I recommend taking motion sickness medication beforehand.
Once I got to the deck, it was difficult to even reach the restroom, and I spent about 30 minutes hunched over with my face in the bag. However, a crew member, who seemed to be the captain, kindly gave me a bottle of water and said, "Putting this on the back of your neck will help." Unfortunately, I still felt unwell, but I was relieved that the crew was completely accustomed to dealing with seasick passengers and treated everyone calmly and kindly.
It was an intense experience, but despite the mishaps, my trip to Lanai has become a wonderful memory, and I definitely want to visit again. While it seems there is also access by plane, I would absolutely choose to take the ferry again, prepared for motion sickness.
This was a great time for my family!! The check in process was very easy and we got many great pics! Dinner was also great and the staff was super polite. The weather can't be helped and we had a windy time on the water, but we all managed.
Michael (Mike) was our tour guide and created an exceptional experience for us. He was very welcoming and building rapport almost seemed second nature for him. He knew how to keep the audience engaged during the entire experience. The ride to pick up and start the event was just about the right length of time. I especially liked the fact that he could use a microphone while driving and that everyone in the vehicle could hear him. My family had our eyes opened on the lush landscape, history, and culture that Hawaii has to offer. Mike ensured that every angle was covered, and I honestly wish we could have strapped an audio recorder to him so we could capture all that he had to share. We all had ample time at the stops for swimming and pics. Mike was even nice enough to make an additional jump off the waterfall cliff with my go pro (I shared that video, feel free to use it) as I wasn’t brave enough to take that plunge. Our only constructive feedback on this event would be to tighten up the “meet up” process at the local shops. We were unsure where or how we needed to check in. Once we saw the white van arrive with the logo we understood.
Sammie was our pilot, and we were fortunate enough that it was just our family on the flight. She made us all feel extremely welcomed and took the time to learn our names, which made our flight that much better. We also all enjoyed the fact that our pilot was an instructor and a female (the world needs more female pilots) With a smaller group it’s easier to be more open and ask more questions about what you’re seeing. No one in our family has ever ridden on a helicopter, but we have all flown and it was awesome!! Planes can only maneuver so much, but helicopters give you a different look and feel of flying. Regardless of where you are sitting you get the opportunity to see all that nature has to offer firsthand. It’s also nice to know that everything was being videoed so you can spend more time looking and less time trying to capture it on your phone. She also was a wealth of knowledge around all things in Hawaii and offered recommendations on additional things for us to see.
Our tour guide was ready and waiting for us at the airport as we landed from the helicopter tour with Sammie. He was extremely welcoming and easily buildings one on one relationships with people. He had a very rich background of experiences which he easily incorporated into all aspects of the tour. From local language, culture, history, nature, driving habits of locals vs. tourists, and stops to get one of a kind eats (shave ice… not shaved ice) we experienced it all. My family was the only group, so we all got to spread out and experience that limo van. We had a beachside lunch overlooking black sand beach and got to experience local foods and stories of the area. We got time to visit the beach and got some great pics within a lava tube. The beach was a little busy, but we still found a spot. He also had a vast knowledge of everything we drove by and experienced. We were also surprised at how smooth the ride was. We had just done the Garden of the Gods a few days before.
Aloha Jessie,
We are so very happy that you all enjoyed your tour with us. I will be sure to let your pilot and guide know of your wonderful email.

This was our first experience on Hawaii (ever) and we were ecstatic at the outcome. This event is very well coordinated with scheduling and the showtimes. Since this was our very first time, we also opted for the VIP experiences. My wife, son, and I attended and because we booked online very early, we were at table 2 which was at the stage. Very nice combo of Hawaiian culture, language, meanings, and audience engagement. Food was excellent with multitude of buffet options. My only constructive feedback from this experience would be to reexamine how the check in process is done. Our check in was done in one lone single line and was also rather manual (paper verification and ticketing). Many other VIP ticket holders (ourselves included) found us at the front of the line (standing next to others) asking if we should wait in the line or if we should check in elsewhere. In summary, excellent event that is well worth the time and investment.
Captain Jill, Silas, and Jen provided an amazing trip, complete with hundreds of spinner dolphins passing the boat along the way to Lanai.
The snorkeling near Lanai was incredible, with crystal clear water, beautiful coral, sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, huge schools of fish, and a baby octopus! My family and I could have stayed in that first snorkeling spot all day! All of us would highly recommend this trip. The captain and crew were knowledgeable, professional and fun. It was one of the best snorkeling trips we have ever taken.
Mahalo for snorkeling with us! We're so glad Jill, Silas and Jess were great host and you had an awesome experience with marine encounters! Mahalo for joining us!
We really enjoyed our visit to Maui Ocean Center. The displays were very educational- we learned so mych about Hawaii’s marine eco system. And the fish and aquatic tanks were AMAZING! We will definitely return on our next trip!
