The scenery was beautiful! Our tour guide was a local who shared her knowledge of the flora and fauna. The hike is not difficult but can be challenging in places. Wear good shoes! The waterfalls were spectacular and their pools provided a welcomed opportunity to oool off.

It was super fun, wonderful, and the best! ☆
I just wanted to stay warm, so I layered on some random clothes to participate, but... I really regretted that we looked so uncool when we could have taken so many beautiful photos (laughs).
Ah! But it was truly amazing! The starry sky was incredible! Thinking back, the emotions from that time come flooding back and I feel like crying (;_;)!

Horseback riding in Hawaii, whether on Oahu or here on Maui, is truly relaxing. After a brief lesson on basic horse handling, we got to ride. I think there was an explanation before we mounted, but I couldn't catch it in English. Suddenly, the horse took off with a shout of "Alright, let's go! Hold on to the reins and saddle tight, GO!" I clung on for dear life, probably for just a few seconds? Afterward, the cowgirl asked me, "How was it?" and when I replied, "I was a bit surprised," she burst out laughing (^ - ^).

But the scenery was amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely horseback ride. The friendly cowgirl took quite a few pictures for us too♪ I recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty, as there will be dust.

走ったあと、カウガールに「どうだった？」と聞かれ「ちょっとびっくりした」というと大笑いしてました(^-^)

でもまあ景色は最高！のんびり乗馬を存分に楽しめました。
写真もけっこう何枚も撮ってくれて、気さくなカウガールでしたよ♪
土煙で汚れるので、少し汚れてもいい服装で行かれることをお勧めします。

I was very impressed by the story shared by Mr. Yamauchi, which made me re-recognize the fact that I am alive here now. I was also moved by his admirable way of living. I wish him continued good health and even more success for the sake of travelers from Japan. The starry sky and the Milky Way were beautiful. Since there were only a few people (5) in one car, we could take our time, which was nice. The bento was just okay... maybe the food at Mauna Kea was tastier... It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

I travel to Oahu every year, but this was my second time on Maui. This time, my goal was to see the stars at Haleakalā. I received polite replies to detailed inquiries about the probability of seeing the stars via email in advance, which made me feel at ease despite the nature of the experience. However, due to a dispute in the U.S. Congress, we couldn't reach the summit (3055m) and had to view the stars from around 2000m at the entrance. Nevertheless, the night sky and the stars were incredibly beautiful, and I felt the smallness of myself in the universe. Above all, I was moved by the storytelling and presentation by the owner, Mr. Yamauchi. There may be a relationship between the tour company and guests, but the thoughtful attention to detail allowed us to relax and enjoy the short time we had. From the hotel pickup at 3 PM to heading to Haleakalā, we stopped at places like tea time and gift shops that individuals wouldn't typically visit. I want to go again next year! I highly recommend this tour to everyone; it’s a life-changing experience. ...Studying the stars in advance might make it even more enjoyable.

毎年オアフ島へは旅行で行ってますが、マウイ島は２回目。今回はハレアカラの星を見るのが目的でした。事前にメールで見られる確率は何パーセントだのなんだの細かい問い合わせにも丁寧な返信をいただき、自然相手にもかかわらず安心して行ったのですが、米国議会の揉め事で山頂（3055ｍ）まで行けず、入口の2000ｍ付近での鑑賞となりました。しかし、夜空も星も素晴らしくきれいで、宇宙の中の自分の小ささを感じました。何よりもオーナー山内さんの語り、演出に感動です。ツアー会社とゲストとの関係はあるかもしれませんが、短い時間に気持ちを和ませて参加できる、細かい心配りは最高でした。ＰＭ３時にホテルピックアップからハレアカラに向かうまで、ティータイムやギフトショップなど個人では行けない場所へも立ち寄ってくれます。来年も又行きたい！そして、皆さんにも是非参加いただきたい、人生観が変わるツアーです。・・・事前に星を勉強していくと一層楽しいかも。

I participated in the tour on September 24 (Tuesday). It was a "Happy Vacation!" with just the two of us girls. The stargazing was amazing! The Milky Way, which I saw for the first time, was truly beautiful, and just looking at it made me feel so happy!! After moving to Oahu, I still can't forget Haleakalā. The stargazing in Maui is indeed wonderful!

I really resonated with what Mr. Yamape said: "Since our customers have come all the way here, I want to do everything I can for them." I believe that having a sincere attitude towards customers is truly important in any job.

We used this service for our honeymoon. I was actually looking for a sunrise at Haleakalā online, but unfortunately, all the dates were fully booked, so I had to change to a sunset. Among various options, this was the only one available, and I was glad to secure a reservation, eagerly looking forward to the day. The guide was fantastic, and I was overwhelmed by the number of stars I had never seen before. I saw the Milky Way, Orihime and Hikoboshi, and a shooting star for the first time in my life. I had never been interested in stars before, but it was truly moving. My husband and I were really satisfied with the sunset! Thank you very much!

I enjoyed the ride very much. It is a very beautiful ranch to see. I recommend taking the morning ride (the one we took), since it does get very hot as the day goes on. My horse was a very good follower and listened good. Our guild was fun, information, and funny. If we needed any kind of help he was right there when you asked. He also was a very good photographer for all of us when we stop to take pictures. I would also recommend being in the front so it isn't so dusty. I was in the back and got dusted out a few times so I just kept my distance from the person in front of me and it was fine after that. Did I mention how beautiful the views were? Also, the drive there seems like you've gone too far but you can't miss the gates with the Mendes Ranch name on it. Small parking lot so park by the entrance, for easy exiting. The whole staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely do this again!

At the end of December last year, we visited Maui and Oahu for our honeymoon. I wanted to see the sunset, so I requested to join the Haleakalā tour in Maui. When I called the hotel, they informed me that the weather was going to be tough... But both my husband and I wanted to go regardless of whether we could see anything! That was our answer. ツアーなのにツアー感を感じず、とっても身近な方に連れていって頂いてる感じでした。
今年の11月に子供が生まれるので、今度は３人で参加したいと思います。

Our guide Ed was very informative throughout the tour. I would recommend taking a tour rather than driving it, the bus drivers know the roads well so you feel safe. Other people have mentioned it was a bumpy ride but i didnt think so. There is nothing much in Hana itself, its more the journey getting there, great scenery...

We participated as a family with our children (ages 8, 10, and 12). After a brief explanation, we immediately started trekking on horseback, one by one.

We went down steep slopes and galloped up, just moving forward continuously.

The horses were very calm and experienced, so it was probably fine, but I must admit I was a bit anxious at first. However, the children seemed to enjoy themselves wholeheartedly without any fear. By the end of the one-hour trek, I was completely relaxed and able to enjoy it as well.

The guides were all cheerful and friendly, which made it fun. They even spoke a little Japanese.

Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience with the stunning backdrop of the ocean in Maui!!!

Initially, we considered driving there ourselves, but choosing this tour was definitely the right decision!

The hiking trail was longer than we imagined, so driving would have been tough, but more importantly, the owner of Maui All Stars, Mr. Yamauchi, was fantastic.

I was torn between sunrise and sunset, but considering the clarity of the air, he strongly recommended sunset! We were able to enjoy the starry sky at a leisurely pace.

Mr. Yamauchi is very knowledgeable about the stars and provided various telescopes, big and small. He shared interesting and engaging stories that entertained both kids and adults.

The heartfelt services, such as the background music during stargazing, chairs, bento boxes, and warm tea, left us truly impressed.

He was also skilled with digital cameras and made thoughtful arrangements for our photos. We got some amazing shots at the summit!

In any case, if you're going to Haleakalā, I highly recommend participating in this tour.

If I ever go to Maui again, I would love to do it once more.

It was advertised as a BBQ lunch included, but even though the morning group started their lunch, I was never called over and ended up just watching with my fingers crossed...

My shyness and lack of confidence in English held me back, and in the end, I ended up riding without lunch.

Fortunately, the horseback riding experience was very satisfying.

I hope that in the future, there won't be any more situations like this for Japanese people.

This was my second trip to Maui, and I traveled with my family (including my 87-year-old mother), but this tour was attended by my six siblings. Since we used a car for the entire itinerary, there wasn't much walking involved, and I thought my mother could have joined us. I was moved by the amazing sunset and the romantic starry sky, and I was very satisfied with the explanations and personality of our tour guide, Yamapi. I would like to participate again during the new moon next time. I absolutely recommend it.

You will not regret a single moment on this tour. The views are breathtaking, and amazing to experience. Waterfalls, exotic flowers, rainforests, trees, turquoise waters, and those cliffs and one lane bridges! Beautiful. I traveled with my husband, little girl, my mom and mother in law. We took with us many happy memories on this tour. A must see!

Since I'm going to Maui, I thought I had to visit Haleakalā, so I participated! I was torn between the sunrise and sunset, but I chose the sunset because it was easy with a departure time of 4:00 PM and I could see the starry sky.

As a result, it was even better than I expected! I was moved to tears by the beautiful sunset seen from above the clouds. The highlight was definitely our guide, Yamauchi. I would want to request Yamauchi again when I come back!

One thing to note is that it gets very cold, so make sure to dress warmly, and I think it's better to go when it's cloudy and when the moon is not full! The moonlight can make it difficult to see the beautiful starry sky!

　マウイに行くからにはハレアカラにいかなきゃと思い参加しました！　サンライズとサンセットで迷ったんですが、星空まで見れて、出発時間が16：00と楽だったのでえらびました。
結果、予想以上にとてもよかったです！　雲の上からみる綺麗なサンセットに感激して涙もでました。とにかくよかった点はガイドのヤマウチさんです。
またきたときには、またヤマウチさんにお願いしたいくらいです！
注意点としては、とても寒いのでしっかりとした防寒をすることと、曇りの時と、月が満月以外がいいとおもいます！月の明りでせっかくの星空が見えにくくなるそうです！

I had the best memories of any tour I've experienced so far. Of course, it's thanks to our guide. I'm really glad I chose this Haleakalā tour with Maui All Stars. They took great care of us. To prevent altitude sickness, they made sure to take breaks while enjoying the journey to the summit, and I didn't experience any of the health issues I had feared. I truly enjoyed it from the bottom of my heart. I want my husband to experience this wonderful feeling as well. Someday, I definitely want to share this view with him and enjoy the moment together. Of course, with Maui All Stars...

Was a awesome adventure, our tour guide Jake was so knowledgable, attentive, and very entertaining. We learned so much about the history of Hawaii. I was a little worried about the road to Hana, but could not have asked for a safer driver, we felt safe with him behind the wheel. Jake make sure we were happy, safe, and content. Food and drinks were always being offered. He was always ready to take pictures of us. the day just flew by. Will recommend this tour to everyone.

We love to horseback ride and this was the 2nd time we chose Mendes Ranch. The staff is knowledgeable and very much fun. The trails were great and we were actually allowed to gallop our horses! I would definitely recommend Mendes to anyone wanting a great horseback riding experience in Maui!

My husband and I participated the day after our arrival in Maui, but due to bad weather, we couldn't see the stars at the summit because it was foggy. We returned and rescheduled for two days later to try again.

I heard that the only way to do a comeback with just the cost of lunch and the national park entrance fee (a total of $15) is through Maui All Stars.

Two days later, the weather improved, and we were able to see a sea of clouds, a beautiful sunset with the green flash, the shadow of the Earth, and a bright moon close to full moon, along with a moonbow that can only be seen when there is no water vapor in the distance.

Our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, mentioned that since the full moon was approaching, the stars were not as visible as usual, but we were still able to see many stars, including those not visible in Japan, the profile of Mickey on the moon, and the stripes of Jupiter.

While listening to explanations under the stars, they provided chairs, large blankets, and warm tea, allowing us to lean back and slowly gaze at the stars. Standing and looking up can be tiring on the neck, but sitting in a chair is very comfortable.

This is also a thoughtful gesture from Mr. Yamauchi based on his experience. He set up the telescopes and arranged chairs for the participants without even having lunch himself. It's no surprise that many people have commented on Mr. Yamauchi's character in their experiences.

Since I don't often have the opportunity to see stars, I had a very valuable experience thanks to Mr. Yamauchi. Next time, I would like to participate when it is as far from the full moon as possible.

お弁当と国立公園の入園料（計＄１５）のみでリベンジできるのは、マウイオールスターズだけだと聞いています。

２日後は天候も回復して、雲海、美しいサンセットと共にグリーンフラッシュ、地球の影、そして満月近くの明るい月と遠くに水蒸気が発生していないと見えないムーンボウまで見ることができました。

ガイドの山内さんは満月が近いから星がいつもよりは見えていないとおっしゃいますが、星もたくさん見ることができ、日本では見えない星、月面の横顔ミッキー、木星の縞模様も見られました。

たくさんの星を見ながら説明を聞く時は、イスと大きいブランケット、温かいお茶を用意して下さるので、背もたれに頭を預けて上を向いてゆっくり星が見られます。
立って上を見ていると首が疲れますが、イスに座るととても楽チンです。

これも山内さんのご経験からの心遣いです。
お弁当も食べずに参加者のためにイスを出して望遠鏡などをセットしていらっしゃいました。
体験談で山内さんのお人柄にふれている方が多いのも納得です。


普段なかなか星を見る機会がないので、山内さんのお陰でとても貴重な体験ができました。
次回はなるべく満月から遠い時に参加したいと思います。
