The guides were fantastic! We very much enjoyed our trip, I've never seen views like that, so beautiful!!
The guides were very thoughtful and considerate of our needs and wants. They also shared Maui history and culture with us and it was all very interesting.
Cute farm with lots of cats to hang out with, pigs, goats, horses, etc. We even got to pet axis deer. We almost booked another tour but we had to leave in a couple days and had other stuff planned.
Highly recommended!!

From the time of pickup, there were thick clouds over the mountain, and it was raining below the clouds. Although the tour was conducted because it was said that the summit was above the clouds, even above 2000 meters, we were still in the clouds. At the summit, we couldn't see much because we were surrounded by clouds. The tour conditions state that there may be times when the weather is bad and the scenery cannot be enjoyed, so there was no cash back for the participation fee, but they mentioned that the next attempt would be free of charge.

My grandson had a great time on his first time fishing in the ocean. Zach and Gage were great, they provided lots of information on all the fish that were caught on this outing. We can’t wait to come back and go fishing again.
Crew was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They would take your fish off the hook and store it for you while giving you some information about the fish you caught. We went to several different spots that the captain knew about trying to find fish and most everybody caught some. Would go back again.
They provided drinks, but you should bring your own snacks.
We participated as a couple. The scenery and content were outstanding, and we were very satisfied. Mr. Yamauchi, who was in charge, was very fun and kind, and his explanations about Maui and the starry sky were easy to understand, making for a wonderful memory. Out of the nine participants, we were the only two Japanese, and my wife didn't understand any English at all, but it was really comforting to have explanations in Japanese. The guide didn't even take a break to eat and prepared everything for us, for which we are truly grateful. At the end, the guide spoke in English, passionately discussing the vastness of the universe compared to the shortness and significance of human life, which left a deep impression on me as I got into the car (though I think my wife didn't understand). Initially, I thought it was naive to try to climb Haleakalā by myself. I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

Yoshi was amazing, he made the entire trip up and down the mountain entertaining just by his talking, facts and nice collection of soothing music. We went with a full bus and still managed to make room for one extra family member, so eight of the back we were grateful for this. The entire sight on the top of the mountaintop was beautiful and alien like but the highlight was the star gazing where Yoshi quickly set up his two telescopes and chairs and blankets for everyone along with the jackets he had already provided us. This coupled with his extensive knowledge of the stars made the entire trip a once in a lifetime experience. I only hope that my soon to be wife and I can take our future children to this tour with Yoshi. I’ll put it to you like this, even if we hadn’t seen any stars I would have been happy just having him drive us up and down the mountain and I had already done it myself, that’s how much I enjoyed his commentary and the ride.
Yoshi was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide with the whole experience being relaxed. We saw some wonderful, once in a lifetime sights. Would definitely recommend this tour.
We had a really great time on our charter on Tues Nov 11th. It was blowing hard in the morning but the crew managed to find us an area that was out of the wind. Captain Zach, Gauge and Styles(?.... Can't quite remember his name) were truly the best part of the whole thing. They were all super engaging and gave a lot of information about the sea life around the island, although the Captain might need to work on his jokes a little! Haha. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and this was the best sunset and stargazing tour that my friend and I have participated in. Mr. Yoshi was very friendly from start to finish -- he made sure that we had time to eat food, stay hydrated, and rest well as we climbed in elevation. I was originally worried I wouldn't get to get my stamp for my national park passport because of the visitor center closure, but Mr. Yoshi asked the entrance park employee for a stamp on a post-it note, and it made my day! He knew the best places for sunset, and was very knowledgeable about all the stars. We learned so much about the sky, and enjoyed peaceful moments just looking up. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone spending time on Maui!

Snorkeling will be on many people’s “must-do” activity in Maui, but so should the Sunset and Stargazing tour in Haleakala with Yoshi! With 20+ years of living in Maui and leading tours of the national park, Yoshi knows the best spots for sightseeing and has great local knowledge to share on the drive up to Haleakala. The complimentary Krispy Crème donuts were a tasty treat and the music selection was so peaceful. I can’t recommend Yoshi and the tour enough. On my sixth trip to Maui, I finally visited Haleakalā, which I had been curious about for a long time! During the journey, I was told I would regret not coming sooner, and it truly lived up to that expectation with its "star-filled sky" and "natural planetarium."
At the summit, above the clouds, there was nothing to obstruct the stars, and everywhere I looked, there were stars. I was deeply moved by the realization that the light I was seeing had traveled from before I was born.

山頂は雲の上なので、星を遮るものは何もなく、どこを見渡しても星。
また、自分が生まれる前の光が今この目に届いているということを実感し、さらに感動しました。

I have participated in stargazing tours in Hawaii multiple times in the past, but this was the first time we each had our own chair, which was very comfortable (I usually end up standing and looking up at the stars, which always makes my neck hurt). Sunset and Stargazing was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We were taken to the top of Halakela to see the amazing views, then due to the crowds we went a little lower to a secluded viewing area, chairs were provided, snacks and tea. Watched a amazing sunset, were provided Jackets as it gets cold after the sunset. Stargazing was unreal! Two powerful Telescopes were used, saw stars and the craters of the moon like never have. It was a memory of a lifetime.
