Advertised as a catamaran, may have been in the truest sense...but not a sail or mast on the boat. Unable to go to Molokini due to high seas(6' swells), took us to a site a mile away from the harbor.

I understand the reasoning for not going to the atoll, however, a chance to get off the ship and get a refund were never offered.

All was not lost, hence the reason for not demanding a refund or a rescheduling, the crew was attentive, polite, and amusing. The relocation for snorkeling was quite nice with some beautiful fish.

Ultimately, I would not book again...sorry.

As we walked up to the harbor the staff was friendly and guided us in the right direction (since there's several different boats departing near each other) Right from the start the captain was very friendly. She introduced herself as well as her staff. As you get on the boat the captain explains to you what stops we will be making and exactly where we will be snorkeling. Unfortunately for us the first stop (right in front of lanai) was too windy so we had to go straight to our second stop. On our way there we saw a baby humpback whale with her mama whale. We stayed at our snorkeling spot for about half an hour to 45 minutes. We saw plenty of fish but unfortunately there were no turtles. Either way the view was very beautiful. On our way back to maui (from lanai) we drove right next to a pod of dolphins and that was probably the highlight of the trip for me. It was amazing seeing all the Dolphins jump out of water and they were very close to us!!! . As we saw the Dolphins and the whales, the captain would give us some info about them and she was very informative. The crew was helpful with making sure everybody was comfortable. They cook hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch and it was pretty yummy. It's a little bit hard to walk on the boat so the crew helped us take our food to the table, they walk around to pick up the trash, they hand out snorkel gear for those who need it, and the captain instructs us on how to dive in and where to snorkel. They also passed out some cookies after everyone ate and those cookies were delicious. They also offered complimentary beer or cocktails for those of age. Overall it was an awesome experience with awesome people. I would definitely recommend it. Some of the people got a little sea sick so I definitely recommend taking something before getting on the boat for those who have sensitive tummies.

I participated with my 8-year-old daughter. Since diving was still too much for her, we opted for snuba. My daughter dove into the sea without a care in the world and seemed very satisfied. Unfortunately, the water temperature was low, so it was a bit chilly after we got out, but the kind service from the staff made us forget the cold. There was more than enough food for breakfast and lunch, and the attentive service took care of everything while we just sat there.

Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised to see a whale, and we encountered countless dolphins, with the added bonus of them jumping at the front of the boat. We were blessed with good weather, and everything was absolutely satisfying.

加えて、期待してなかった鯨が見られたり
イルカは数えきれないほど出逢え、かつ船の先頭をジャンプのサービス。

I hadn't went snorkeling in over a decade and they gave a small refresher for those aboard that wanted the refresher. The area they take you to is magnificent with beautiful views, especially the sea turtles who will come swim close to you. I took an underwater camera and the pictures turned out better than I could imagine. The water was so clear and the corral and fish where so colorful. The staff on board were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure each person had a spectacular experience. It was by far thebest snorkeling adventure I've ever been on.

Everything about the trip was great. Breakfast consisted of muffins, granola bars, fresh fruit platter juices and coffee. Plenty to eat. The ship consisted of two decks. Top deck was a great place to whale watch on the way over to Lanai. The first snorkel sight was just off a cove near Lanai. Saw lots of colorful fish. Rode back through channel was only negative. It was windy and the waves were rough. Crew was very amazing. Felt safe with the captain and crew. Went to another cove off maui. Saw turtles and other fish. Lunch was great! Burgers, hot dogs, chicken and veggie burgers chips, cookies and pasta salad. Plenty to drink. Saw lots of whales along the way! I would do this trip again. :)

The departure is at 7:30 AM, and the fare is cheaper than the morning departures. The meeting time is 7:00 AM, but quite a few people are already at Lahaina Harbor, so it's better to arrive before 7:00 AM to park in the harbor's three-hour free parking. You will need to present the printed voucher at the booth, write your name, and sign a document acknowledging the risks associated with cruising to receive your boat ticket. Boats to Molokai Island and snorkeling tours also depart from the same location in sequence. The boat won't arrive until the previous one departs, so be sure to look around carefully to avoid getting on the wrong one. There is no Japanese guide for the early morning departure, but a naturalist will explain the whales' ecology in English. In early March, the peak whale season is slightly past, but we were able to see a whale approximately every ten minutes during the two-hour cruise. We could only see the dorsal fins and tails from a distance, so it might be a good idea to bring binoculars. The weather was cloudy. I had taken motion sickness medication in advance. The waves were calm, so it was fine. Bringing food and drinks is allowed, but snacks were also sold on the boat. A bottle of juice was about two dollars. The cruising experience was refreshing, but since we didn't see the whales' dynamic movements up close, my 12-year-old son (and some young Americans on board) found it a bit boring.

早朝7:30発で料金は午前発よりお得です。7:00集合ですがラハイナ港にはすでに結構人が来ているので、車を港の３時間無料パーキングに駐車するには7:00前には着いていたほうがよいです。あらかじめプリントアウトしておいたバウチャーをブースで出して名前を書き、「クルージングに伴う諸リスクを承知しています」との書類にサインすると、船のチケットを渡されます。同じ場所からモロカイ島行の船やシュノーケリングツアーの船も順番に出ます。前の船が出るまでは時間になっても船が入港して来ないので、よく周囲を見て乗り間違えないようにしましょう。早朝発には日本語ガイドはありませんが、ナチュラリストの方が英語でクジラの生態などを説明してくれます。３月上旬だと、クジラのピークはやや過ぎているとのことですが、それでも２時間のクルーズで10分に１頭くらいの割合で見れました。遠くに時々胸ビレや尾ビレが見える程度だったので、双眼鏡を持っていくといいかもしれません。天気は曇り。あらかじめ酔い止めを飲んでいました。波は静かで穏やかな日でしたので、大丈夫でした。飲食物持込OKですが、船中でスナックの販売もしていました。ジュース１本２ドルくらいのようでした。クルージングとしては爽やかですが、それほど近くでダイナミックなクジラの動きを見れたわけでもなかったので、１２歳の息子（や同船していたアメリカ人の?若い人たち）はやや退屈していました。

I was satisfied to see many whales!
Since it was an English guide, there were many explanations I didn't understand, but it was great to see the whales up close.
I didn't see any big jumps, but I was able to see them splashing their tails and jumping a little.
I definitely want to participate again during whale season.

大きなジャンプは見れませんでしたが、尻尾をバシャバシャしたり、少し跳ねたりするのが見れました。
またクジラの時期に、ぜひ参加したいです。

I stayed in Lahaina and participated in the early morning plan. Although there were no whales out in the early morning, around 9 o'clock, about 15 whales appeared near the boat. I was able to see them spouting and dancing up close, and I successfully captured it on video, which made me very satisfied.

早朝でクジラも寝ていたのか出てきませんが９時過ぎになって舟の近くに１５頭ほどのクジラが出現潮吹き・乱舞と身近に見る事が出来、無事ビデオに収めることが出来大満足でした

This was a great trip that is highly recommended. The shuttle pick up from the hotel was very convenient and saved us the hassle of having to find parking. The captain (Lily) and crew were super chill and the breakfast and lunch served were ono! The BBQ lunch consisted of burgers, hot dogs and chicken. We saw a ton of whales on the trip up close but we missed out on the dolphins. The two snorkel spots were great - the coral was so healthy and multi colored. Lots of good fish diversity as well. Snorkel gear and wetsuits provided were a great addition. No complaints whatsoever - definitely book this trip!

This is a great trip to do with your family! Plenty to eat for breakfast and lunch. The crew is helpful and knowledgable. Lots of whales to see. Snorkeling sites had lots to see.

We did the snorkel excursion during a week long family trip to Maui, Hawaii. Capt Lily was amazing and the other staff/crew were as well. Everyone in my group had a blast and it was definitely a highlight of my trip. We got to see so much, and actually meet cool people as well! It is advertised as a snorkel excursion but count on it to be a whale/dolphin watching as well! We had a great time. Thank you!!

I found the excursion very fun. The best part about the trip was the amount of information that we all learned from our crew members. The amount of whales we saw was incredible, and how Captain Lilly put the attention of the boat on the whales and spinner Dolphins that were close by. She told us what was happening and taught us some very cool things that she was clearly very passionate about. I found the other crew members very helpful as well, they were always offering us help with anything that we needed. I felt very safe on the boat and as well in the areas we snorkelled, which was thanks to the crew members putting our safety first. I thought our crew members did a very excellent job at making our trip a very enjoyable learning experience.

Our family returned from Maui less than a week ago. We squeezed in a lot of outings and adventures in our time there, but the 7 of us all agreed the snorkel trip was by far the highlight of our vacation! We have been on a few other snorkel excursions over the years, but the Dolphin Watch & Snorkel BBQ Lunch Cruise far exceeded our expectations. We were very fortunate that there were only a couple dozen people on the boat so it was quite personable. We were greeted warmly with a light breakfast of fruit and pastries. Weather wise, we could not have picked a better day!
We had anticipated to see some whales, but WOW is all I can say! Capt Lily was genuinely as excited to see the things we saw even though I'm sure she's seen them all dozens of times before. She was very knowledgeable and stopped often, positioning us for the best viewing as the whales were so active. We also saw spinner dolphins which was exciting. We boated out to Lanai and had the opportunity to snorkel in two different places. At our first stop the kids saw numerous fish and were lucky enough to see a sea turtle! Our second stop was at Sweetheart Rock where there were a ton of different fish. The boat had a slide that a few people took the opportunity to enjoy.
The staff was extremely friendly and professional and went out of their way to ensure everyone was comfortable. They had noodles and boogie boards for those that weren’t strong swimmers. There were always a minimum of two staff in the water with us, often more.
We were treated to a lunch BBQ’d right on board! We enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, fruit, chips and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages. One of our kids is a vegetarian, and they were able to accommodate her with a veggie burger without prior warning.
The total excursion was 6.5 hours and flew by! Everyone enjoyed every minute of it and we will all have great memories for years to come! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our day truly memorable!

Excellent tour with very friendly & informative guide (Bob). Wish we would have seen more of upcountry Maui, but other than that was great! Fabulous views, comfortable bus, great experience. Would recommend to anyone, so nice not to have to drive that windy road, could enjoy the ride in comfort and safety!

We loved the luau and hope to attend this event again someday. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was first class. I especially enjoyed the master of ceremonies or host because she was very warm and welcoming to listen to and you could tell she was passionate and knowledgable about this event. We would definitely return.

We saw whales immediately. Whales were everywhere. Beyond my expectations.

Our instructors, Luke and Armadillo rock. They were so patient with us. I was able to ride more waves than anticipated especially never surfed before. Two of my friends are 75 . And were all able to get up and ride a wave

We wanted to do something fun and exciting in the water while visiting Maui. We chose this adventure after hearing some great things about this excursion. Let me tell you, it was really fun! Not only did we get to snorkel and relax on the boat, but we also got to whale watch. The food is okay, but you're going for the actual snorkeling! We saw many sea animals and had a great time. You can tell the people running the operation really love their jobs. They sincerely care about the passengers on board. One woman in particular was extremely inviting and personally approached me just to talk. Wonderful day!

When it comes to this season on Maui, it's all about whale watching. This time, I participated in an early morning plan that gathered at Lahaina Harbor at 7:00 AM. Since the tour was guided only in English, all the other passengers were foreigners except for us.

Although I couldn't fully catch what the guide was explaining due to my limited listening skills, the sunrise view from the boat was incredibly beautiful. We were able to see whales jumping here and there, and I had a refreshing and fulfilling time.

Waking up early is worth it. This early morning plan is also reasonably priced, so I personally highly recommend it! I definitely want to join this tour again when I visit Maui.

*When I arrived right on time at the Lahaina Cruise Company booth, there was already a large crowd. It's an easy place to find without any confusion.
*On the cruise ship, coffee and light snacks are also available for sale, so you can feel at ease even if you're hungry.

マウイ島のこの季節といえば、ホエールウォッチング。
今回、朝7:00にラハイナハーバー集合という早朝プランに参加しました。
この時間帯のツアーは英語のみのガイドという事で、乗客は私たち以外全て外国の方でした。

ガイドさんの解説は、私にリスニング力がなくきちんと聞き取れてはいませんでしたが…
それでも、船上から眺める事のできる日の出はとても美しく、
クジラのジャンプもあちらこちらで見る事ができ、爽快で充実した時間を過ごす事ができました。

早起きは三文の得。この早朝プランはお値段もリーズナブルなので、個人的にはとてもお勧めです！
またマウイ島に行く際には、是非参加したいツアーです。

※集合時間丁度に到着したラハイナクルーズカンパニーブースは、既に多くの人だかりでした。迷う事無く探しやすい場所です。
※クルーズ船内では、コーヒーや軽食も販売されていて、お腹が空いていても安心です。

The waters around Maui were calm because they are surrounded by islands. There were whales everywhere, and I was wondering which one to see up close. The schedule was perfectly on time. The course we chose departed at noon, but since we had to spend a lot of time outside the boat while watching the whales, the sunlight was quite strong, so I recommend a course that finishes in the morning. It seems that more whales will be coming in mid-February. Our Japanese guide, Taka, was very kind and taught us many things. Thank you very much.

マウイ島の海は、島々に囲まれているため海が穏やかでした。
いたるところにクジラがいて、どのクジラを近くで見ようかな？といった具合でした。
スケジュール進行もばっちり時間通りでした。
私たちの選んだコースは１２時発だったのですが、クジラを見る際、どうしても船の外にいる時間が長く日差しがきつかったので、午前に終われるコースがお勧めです。
これから２月中旬にかけて、もっとクジラがやってくるみたいです。
日本人ガイドのタカさんは、とても親切で色々な事を教えていただけました。

I purchased in advance despite the lack of discounts because I was supposed to receive a souvenir coupon and a ceramic mug coupon. However, I found out that I needed to spend over $35 on souvenirs to qualify.

There was a priority entrance lane for advance purchasers at the entrance, but it wasn't functioning, and the list verification took a long time. I don't think there are any benefits to purchasing in advance.

　記念品クーポン・セラミックマグクーポンを貰えるようので、ディスカウントがないにもかかわらず事前購入しましたが、土産物を３５ドル以上買わないと対象外とのこと。
　入口の掲示には事前購入者の優先入場レーンがありましたが機能しておらず、むしろリスト照合で時間がかかるので、事前購入するメリットはないと思います。

As soon as we set sail, we encountered several whales near the city, and we ventured quite far, making for a fulfilling two hours. Thanks to choosing the early morning plan, not only was the price affordable, but we also enjoyed a beautiful sunrise, and the boat was not crowded, allowing us to move around to see the whales in different directions. Additionally, we were able to easily park at the Public Parking near the dock.

　出航してすぐ、街の近くでも複数のクジラに会えましたが、結構遠くまで足を延ばしてくれ、充実した２時間でした。
　早朝プランにしたおかげで、料金が安いだけでなく、綺麗な日の出も楽しめ、船内が空いているのでクジラの出る方向に合わせて前後左右へ移動できたのも良かったです。また、船着き場近くのPublic Parkingにも簡単に停められました。
　

We loved this luau. Great food, beautiful setting, and the Lei's were the perfect touch. The activities they had for children had them entertained while we waited for the show to start. I would go again for sure!!

I spent a few hours researching activities to do during our honeymoon to Maui. We decided that due to the exorbitant cost of drinks in any resort or restaurant we decided that an open bar cruise was going to be a great and cost effective experience.

I wasn't disappointed! The cruise was absolutely awesome. We saw at least 25 whales throughout the course of the evening which was fantastic.

The drinks were top notch as well. They had a huge number different top shelf liquors and made great drinks all night.

The crew was fantastic. They went over the top to take care of everybody's needs and made sure everyone was having a great time. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone that wants to see gorgeous views, enjoy great drinks, and have an awesome crew.

It was not the boat we paid for, food was average, tables were small and crowded, music was distortion,

I participated in a tour at the beginning of December. At the time, I didn't know that the whale watching season runs from December to May, so I was really worried whether we would actually see any since it had just turned December. As expected, no whales appeared no matter how long we waited. The guide also mentioned that we might not see any, but in the end, a mother and baby whale showed up. Ultimately, it turned out to be a satisfying tour.

１２月の初めのツアーに参加しました。参加した時は知らなっ方のですが、ホエールウオッチングの季節は１２月から５月ということで、まだ１２月になったばかりで本当に見えるのか心配でした。案の定待っても待っても現れません。はんば諦めガイドの方も見れないかも知れないと言っていたのですが最後に親子のクジラが現れました。最終的には満足のいくツアーになりました。
