Excellent tour with very friendly & informative guide (Bob). Wish we would have seen more of upcountry Maui, but other than that was great! Fabulous views, comfortable bus, great experience. Would recommend to anyone, so nice not to have to drive that windy road, could enjoy the ride in comfort and safety!

When it comes to this season on Maui, it's all about whale watching. This time, I participated in an early morning plan that gathered at Lahaina Harbor at 7:00 AM. Since the tour was guided only in English, all the other passengers were foreigners except for us.

Although I couldn't fully catch what the guide was explaining due to my limited listening skills, the sunrise view from the boat was incredibly beautiful. We were able to see whales jumping here and there, and I had a refreshing and fulfilling time.

Waking up early is worth it. This early morning plan is also reasonably priced, so I personally highly recommend it! I definitely want to join this tour again when I visit Maui.

*When I arrived right on time at the Lahaina Cruise Company booth, there was already a large crowd. It's an easy place to find without any confusion.
*On the cruise ship, coffee and light snacks are also available for sale, so you can feel at ease even if you're hungry.

※クルーズ船内では、コーヒーや軽食も販売されていて、お腹が空いていても安心です。

The course we chose departed at noon, but since we had to spend a lot of time outside the boat while watching the whales, the sunlight was quite strong, so I recommend a course that finishes in the morning. As soon as we set sail, we encountered several whales near the city, and we ventured quite far, making for a fulfilling two hours. Thanks to choosing the early morning plan, not only was the price affordable, but we also enjoyed a beautiful sunrise, and the boat was not crowded, allowing us to move around to see the whales in different directions. Additionally, we were able to easily park at the Public Parking near the dock.

When I went back at that time, I received a coupon that could be used inside for free, which I exchanged for tickets and potato chips on the boat. I participated in the early morning tour. Compared to my last visit in February, I was a bit worried that the number of whales visible from the hotel I stayed at was significantly lower, suggesting it might still be early in the season, but I was able to see plenty of whales without any issues.

This was my first time joining the early morning tour, and cruising while watching the beautiful sunrise was amazing! You can see the islands gradually becoming more vibrant as the light brightens. Since we return around 9:30, it allows for a productive day, and I highly recommend it.

I would give this 4 1/2 stars! My husband and I ended up getting a private tour because no one else signed up! Our guide was great (didn't give name)-he constantly was bringing things back up to the surface to show us and was very knowledgable about anything we asked about. I had a very personal and special experience with a female turtle while snorkeling and we saw some while kayaking, but I thought we would see more at the turtle cleaning station. Would recommend this to anyone with experience. The total time was good but we wish it could have been a little longer-our guide didn't want us to be on choppy waters. Our tour was around 3 hrs. They provide you with snacks and water. Our guide was snapping pictures for us and will e-mail them to us for free! Can't wait to see them! Mahalo to our guide and this company!!

Tip: After you are done, ask your guide about the Jaws Food Truck-delicious fish tacos and burritos with snacks and smoothies!

It was a drizzly and chilly day, starting off with a low energy. The whales might still be sleeping due to the bad weather... The atmosphere on the boat was quite subdued, but as the cruise progressed, we started spotting whales! "Oh! Over there!!!" "Oh! This way!!!" They came quite close, even splashing us with their breath. The early morning plan might have different chances of seeing whales depending on the weather. However, when you do see them, it's a 100% satisfying activity.

I booked the early morning plan. We left around 6:30, and since it wasn't too far from the Sheraton, we arrived at the harbor in about 15 minutes by taxi. The boat was quite rocky, but I was glad to see several whales. It was a bit disappointing that I couldn't take good photos since the whales only appear for a moment.

I know every whale watch is a different experience but this was the best whale watch cruise ever. The crew was extremely knowledgeable and the captain seem to have a knack to know where they were going to be and how to move into the best position. The boat was two decks and you could move freely between them. It's a bigger boat which some say is worse for fighting for rail space when whales are spotted but I saw a smaller boat next to us and the waves were rocking them almost out of the water while our boat was barely rocking. We got lucky enough to spot two sets of whales and some bottle-nose dolphins even though it was the end of the season. The second set of whales came right up next to our boat and hung around for a while for us to get a really, really close look.

I made a reservation for the morning. I was able to get to the port quickly, but I got lost trying to find the check-in location. It was in a small hut located in the largest pier that juts out into the sea. Please be careful, as there may be a chance you won't see it due to the line.

Now, the boat is two stories, and you can sit wherever you like during the cruise, but it felt like people were moving left and right every time a whale appeared. I was able to see them multiple times, both far and near. I didn't see any jumps, but it was a very satisfying cruise.

海に突き出た一番大きい桟橋の中にある小屋でした。行列の影で見えない可能性もあるので注意してくださいね。

I stayed at a guesthouse in Kaanapali next to Lahaina. We departed at 6:50 AM, took 5 minutes to reach the public parking lot, and then walked for another 5 minutes to the meeting point. There were already a lot of tourists gathered.

We boarded at 7:30 AM for a 2-hour whale watching tour. I was hoping to see whales like in the pictures, but all we saw that day was just a glimpse of a tail. It felt like the end of the season. I want to try again next year.

Lahaina隣のKaanapaliの民宿に宿泊、6時50分出発、パブリック駐車場迄5分、その後5分歩いて集合場所に行った。すでに大勢の観光客が集まっていた。

On the third day of our family's first 3-night, 5-day trip to Maui, we joined an early morning tour that was a good deal, even though it wasn't the time for the Japanese guide. We thought we might see whales while looking at the ocean. It seemed like we went out far enough where other tour boats didn't go. We even encountered whales crossing right in front of our boat. ...And the guide exclaimed "Incredible!" because we took the best photos. And it was all with an iPhone. It was the best whale watching experience on our first trip to Maui. I would love to participate again.

I participated on March 8th. This was my third time joining. This time, there were about 20 Japanese participants along with us. Of course, there was also a Japanese guide on board. To put it simply, there were a lot of us.

The previous times I went were at the end of March, but this time was the best. We were able to see breaching multiple times, and the sound of the tail slapping the water was amazing.

I had a hard time getting good photos; the shutter opportunities were... I think the best approach is to use the continuous shooting mode on my compact camera to snap a bunch of photos and then crop them later.

According to the guide, the peak is around Valentine's Day, so I plan to go in February next year.
