From beginning to end this was a wonderful experience! All the staff were amazing! We got to see incredible sites, snorkel, see dolphins and whales all in one day! Highly recommend this adventure!

We had Captain Mike, Leroy and Tony on our adventure. They were nice, professional and very informative. Will do again for sure!

It was amazing with the bonus of whales, dolphins, and a rainbow. The crew's considerate service was very pleasant. There was a child who was feeling seasick, which was a bit sad, but when I told them there was a rainbow, they looked happy watching it. We were the only Japanese people, but it was okay even though we didn't understand English.

Absolutely loved this experience and the helpers on board made it even better! I really enjoyed how we would go along and the captain would talk about a certain place or landmark. It was so fun stopping and relaxing for lunch and going for a swim. I do recommend to bring something if you get cold easily during the cruise. The captains on board were very friendly and constantly checking up on people!They were also very open to answer any questions people had.

Too windy to cruise up the Na Pali coast the day we went and that was the only negative of an otherwise wonderful experience. I appreciated the safety 1st approach and professional attitude and experience brought by captain and crew. We cruised down the west and south side and had a great time, seeing beautiful shoreline, spinner dolphins and humpback whales. The crew was excellent, and everyone had a blast. Nice job!

My friend and I loved this excursion. It was the highlight of our trip. The Napali Coast was amazing. So beautiful and rugged. Snorkeling was great and whale watching was phenomenal. Would highly recommend this trip and this company to anyone visiting Kauai.

The crew is very friendly and gets to know you as you make your way out to the coast line. Then they provide you with a spectacular tour of the coast while sharing knowledge about the history of the coast line, Hawaiian culture and general ocean sea life. They stopped to show us spinner dolphins as a pod crossed our paths and pointed out other sea life native to Hawaii. Awesome Tour All Around!

My family, including four kids, had a wonderful time on the Na Pali coast boat tour. The crew went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. We saw bottlenose and spinner dolphins and tons of whales up close. The views of the coast were mesmerizing. Although the weather did not cooperate for snorkeling, the crew made up for it by letting us jump off the boat and swim. It was a day to remember and a highlight for the kids!

Saw all parts of the island. Tons of waterfalls. Even whales in the ocean. Saw one breech. Mark did an excellent job of explaining the island past and present. I had to reschedule due to rain but the next day was fabulous weather. Building staff very helpful and pleasant to work with.

Sailing along the Na Pali coast with the towering mountains going down to the ocean was breathtaking. A can't miss tour.

My husband and I both agree this has been our favorite activity while in Hawaii (we’ve done several activities on 3 different islands). There are no words to describe the beauty of the coast!! Cameron & Tony were knowledgeable and very fun!! We saw several whales & spinner dolphins, which took our trip to the next level for us! Snorkeling was cancelled because of rough water, but we didn’t even notice because we were having so much fun!! Thanks Cameron & Tony for an awesome adventure!

Thesea caves definitely made the whole event even cooler! One of a kind experience.

Went on the afternoon trip with my best friend, we went as a birthday outing for him. The trip was SPECTACULAR, the cliffs and the water were gorgeous, we saw a a whale, the captain regaled us with facts of the coastline, and saw one of the sea caves. It was a little rough and we did not go in but it was still just as amazing all the same. We did not do any snorkeling (as it would be a little late in the day to do so) but we were permitted to jump out of the boat to swim around. It was fun, had a nice little meal. I will definitely go with this tour again if given the chance. A+.

Like has such an amazing crew! I got a little sea sick and they were wonderful to help me with get through it!

Exhilarating doors off helicopter ride, views were amazing, especially since you are able to see everything, you are at one with nature!! Niki our pilot was excellent, very informative throughout the tour, we had a fabulous trip, highly recommend this tour and Air Kauai doors off!

Awesome trip, boat crew fantastic, captain Mike made sure we saw dolphins and whales, as well as a great trip up the Na Pali coast, would highly recommend this to everyone!

Nothing as beautiful as the Na Pali Coast, a must do every time we visit

This is the boat you want to be on to explore the ins and outs of the Na Pali coast. I was amazed by the sea caves

It was our first time in such a tiny plane. The flight was full of incredible views over almost whole Kauai with interesting information from the pilot including the music from movies filmed on this island. He used more different angles during the flight over the main spots - for example Napali Coast so we could really enjoy the splendor of nature. Can highly recommend this company for a flight.

I booked for 3 people in my family. I was so concerned about the weather being good because the forecast didn’t look great. The day of our flight came and it was looking sunny however I was feeling under the weather. Our flight was scheduled for 11:30. The company called us to reschedule because they were having technical issues. I thought that would be good and hopefully I’d be feeling better the next day. Unfortunately I was feeling worse and the weather was super cloudy. I called them to let them know I was sick but my husband and daughter could still make it. They said I couldn’t get a refund unless I went to the ER and had a Dr write a note. Really? The Emergency Room? It would’ve cost more than the flight. I took a Covid test and it was positive so I chose not to risk infecting others and gave them plenty of notice. The weather never cleared but they flew anyway. my husband and daughter said it was beautiful but rainy and cloudy. They loved seeing views that you couldn’t see otherwise especially the waterfalls. Air Kauai was able to fill my seat so while they actually made money I was out the money AND the experience. I wouldn’t recommend them.

See Kauai from the air! Absolutely breathtaking! Our pilot was wonderful and knowledgeable of the island. Definitely a must to see Kauai from the air.

The crew is extremely friendly and knowledgeable! You also get to see so many beautiful views of the Na Pali during the tour, which is really only accessible when on a boat tour!! However, I wouldn’t recommend if you get easily seasick, as the boat gets quite rocky.

Beautiful experience. Boat clean, crew very friendly and helpful. Information about spots on the coast fun. Have done this trip before and liked this the best.

This cruise was perfect for our 6 and 10 yr old kids. We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the snorkeling!
Id also like to add if you get even a teeny bit seasick i highly recommend taking some motion sickness medication. It was choppy and boy did I feel it the last hour or so!
Despite that, I'd do this cruise over again in a heartbeat.

I do not know where to start. On September 20th we boarded the boat with Captain A’a and his daughter Ri (Ree). They were professional, knowledgeable, fun, and worth every penny. Whether you are serious about snorkeling (like me) or just looking to see the sites (my husband) you will enjoy this excursion.
On land they will divide you up into groups and then Captain A’a will explain the do’s and don’ts while on his boat (by the way do not bring bananas or granola bars as snacks – he will explain). He is serious about the don’ts. The Captain and his daughter are very knowledgeable of the area (ask them anything) and they are so much fun.
I would definitely recommend the Makana Charters and I highly recommend Captain A’a and his daughter. Thank you both for a fabulous time and making us feel like your friend – not just a customer.

Great experience throughout. Everyone acted professionally, equipment was ready, instructions were clear and yet everyone was cordial, even funny. Adam, the pilot, was engaged during the entire flight and the flight was very smooth. And I can't imagine doing this in a helicopter with doors on. Money very well spent; THE highlight of our 10-day, 2-island Hawai'i vacation.

What a great way to see Kauai. We had a very knowledgeable pilot and just a wonderful tour. I was really impressed with the quality and the price of the video of the the tour we purchased. Thanks for showing us your beautiful island.
