It was so lucky to sit next to the pilot! The best view and nice weather. Kind and well-experienced pilot. It was expensive but worth trying.

Just the recording of the flight for US$40 was too high. And the conflict with the USB being ready and the bus schedule was too tight.

NB: Check my pick-up time on the voucher!!! It was actually the flight schedule. I was about to miss the biggest event of the trip!!!

This tour provided a great overview of the island. The stops were timed well for bathroom/stretch purposes. We made a couple unscheduled fun stops/detours which was great. Nate had a lot of info to share amd was very knowledgable. Food was very yummy and Nate even found an orchid shopnfor us to eat at while it was pouring outside. Overall great experience.

My first helicopter experience was enjoyable. I requested a Japanese pilot, but when my reservation was confirmed, I was informed that it would be an English-speaking pilot, so I was glad I could participate with that understanding in advance. Although I'm not a native speaker, I was able to understand, and it turned out to be a very good experience! Unfortunately, the Kilauea volcano was calm, so it wasn't what I had hoped for, but I was able to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Big Island of Hawaii, and it was worth the price!

はじめてのヘリコプター体験、楽しかったです。
日本語パイロットリクエストしましたが、予約確定時、英語パイロットと、お知らせが来ましたのであらかじめ理解の上参加できたのが良かったです。
ネイティブではありませんが、理解出来、とてもよい体験になりました！
残念ながら、キラウエア火山は沈静化していましたので期待したものではありませんでしたが、雄大なハワイ島の景色を眺めることが出来、お値段の価値はありました！

Jim Carey is an outstanding and knowledgeable guide who wove Hawaiian folklore, geology and local current events into an experience that we (ages 12 to 72) all enjoyed. We had a nice small group (just seven of us) which allowed Jim to go a little off script and pack a lot of experiences into our day. The transportation van was comfortable but be ready for a long drive because Jim really covers the Big Island. From the lava flows in Kona to Hilo to Kilauea, there was a lot of ground covered. The gourmet dinner of organic and locally grown steaks, fish and produce was exceptional. Don't even get me started on the dessert. We are still talking about it. The stargazing was a spectacular finish to the day.
Thank you Jim for an unforgettable experience.

Let me start off by saying I had a pretty low expectation for the meals when I saw they were included. The food was really great—chef made lunch and delicious beef ribs at dinner. I’m still dreaming about them. That alone provides so much value for the price.

Now, onto the tour—Keith was an amazing tour guide! He started off by learning and continually speaking to each of us individually by name. He had the greatest stories at AND between each tour stop. We really enjoyed the tour from start to finish and almost forgot how long of a day it was! And for the stargazing, we lucked out with a beautiful clear sky and Keith was knowledgeable about not only the stars we were seeing, but so much beyond that!

It was a stable ride compared to a Cessna, providing a sense of security and comfort, making for a wonderful experience. The moment I realized the pilot was Toshi Mochizuki, my sense of reassurance and anticipation doubled.

Although the lava flow had stopped, we were able to get much closer to the crater, and the cliffs viewed from the sea were truly volcanic islands. I was greatly impressed along with the Canadian family who joined me.

セスナと比べて安定した乗り心地、安心快適、素敵な体験でした。パイロットが、望月TOSHIさんだとわかった瞬間、安心感･期待感がさらに倍増。
熔岩の流れはストップしてましたが、その分、火口にもぐんと近付け、海から見る岸壁も火山島そのもの、同乗したカナダ人家族と一緒に大感激したのでした。

An emotional experience awaits that matches the price.

This time, I decided to stay a bit longer on the Big Island of Hawaii. My goal is to relax as much as possible, but just staying cooped up in a condominium would be boring. I searched for a special tour and finally decided on a helicopter tour! The thought of seeing the Big Island from the sky made my heart race, but there were several challenges to consider.
1. The price is on the higher side
2. Is flying in a helicopter dangerous?
3. Wouldn't a car be sufficient instead of a helicopter?
4. The tour is dependent on the weather
5. Can I ride with a Japanese-speaking pilot (since I can't speak English)?
6. Which tour pattern should I choose?
7. Is the Kilauea eruption safe? And so on. I managed to overcome these challenges and had a wonderful time.

Regarding point 1: The charm of the Big Island lies in its diverse nature. To truly feel that the Earth is alive and continuously evolving, there's no substitute for a helicopter! With a leap of faith, I made the reservation (tears). When I actually flew, it exceeded my expectations. Yes, it is indeed more expensive compared to other tours. However, when considering the "emotional value" rather than the hourly rate, it feels affordable! That's my experience. You can't make expensive purchases on the Big Island, nor do you need to. Therefore, I recommend incorporating this into your travel budget from the start. Of course, this goes without saying for those who are wealthy. Please do experience it.

Regarding point 2: There is no such thing as zero risk in anything, but I believe the probability of a helicopter accident is significantly lower compared to the risks of driving a rental car in unfamiliar territory. In reality, the helicopter was stylish, had a wide view, and provided a smooth, refreshing flight. The noise disappears when you wear headphones, and everyone, including the pilot, can converse. This also made for a fun time, and I ended up making friends with the couple I flew with. The decision to operate the flight is made based on the weather conditions of the flight route for that day, and in fact, flights after ours were canceled. Naturally, dangerous flights are never conducted.

価格に見合った感動が待っている (分けて報告します)

今回はハワイ島だけに少し長めに滞在することにしました。できるだけノンビリ過ごすのが目的ですが、と言ってもただコンドミニアムに閉じこもっているのも芸がない。何かとっておきのツアーはないか、と探しに探して決めたのがヘリコプター遊覧！これで空からビッグアイランドを一望できる、と心は踊りますが、いくつかの難問がありました。
①料金が高め ②ヘリコプターは危険ではないか ③何もヘリでなくとも車で十分ではないか ④実施が天候に左右される ⑤日本語パイロットのヘリに乗れるか(英語がダメなので) ⑥ツアーのパターンはどれを選べば良いのか ⑦そもそもキラウエアの噴火は大丈夫か 、などなど。これらを何とかクリアして素晴らしい時間を手にした報告です。

①について:ハワイ島の魅力はなんと言っても多彩な自然です。地球は生きていて今も進化し続けていることを実感するにはヘリコプターしかない！と、清水の舞台から飛び降りる気持ちで予約しました(涙) 実際に飛んでみるとそれはもう期待以上でした。他のツアーと比較すると確かに高いです。しかし時間単価ではなくて、「感動単価」で考えると安い！というのが体験しての実感です。ハワイ島では高価な買い物などできませんし、する必要もありません。ですから、最初から旅行費用に組み入れて準備することをお勧めします。もちろんお金持ちの方には言わずもがなです。ぜひ体験して下さい。
②について:何事も危険ゼロは無いですが、ヘリ事故の確率は、レンタカーで慣れない運転にチャレンジするのに比べたら比較にならないくらい低いと思います。実際、機体もかっこよくて、視界も広く、揺れもなく、とても爽快なフライトを楽しめました。騒音はヘッドホンを着けると消えますし、パイロットを含め乗員全員で会話ができます。これも楽しい時間となり、同乗したご夫妻とお友達になってしまいました。運行の可否は、フライト時刻毎にその日の飛行ルートの気象状況を見て決められ、実際に、私たちの次の時間以降のフライトは中止になりました。当たり前ですが危険なフライトは決してしません。

The pilot was handsome!
I was able to learn about the magnificence of Kilauea Volcano and the volcanic island of Hawaii.
Also, seeing the waterfalls in the Waikoloa area from the sea was incredible!
We actually landed right under the waterfall, and experiencing its grandeur and the healing it brings was the best. My wife, who accompanied me, was the most moved!
Once we got home, she kept saying she wants to go again!

また、海から見るワイコロア地域の滝軍団！

I signed up for this tour because I wanted to see the lava and ocean entry from the sky, but unfortunately, I couldn't see them. Still, I was able to witness the crater and the areas where lava spread after the eruption, feeling the power of nature.

The tour takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes to leisurely circle the island, allowing you to fully enjoy the shape of the island, its terrain, the greenery, and the blue sea. Among the highlights, the Kohala Coast, Waipi'o Valley, and Waimauna Valley were breathtaking and truly moving. I regretted not adding the landing option at the waterfall, as it would have been amazing to land in that valley. Next time I participate, I want to try landing as well.

Here are some tips for those who will be joining the tour soon:
1. There is only one Japanese pilot, so it's better to assume that you will have a foreign pilot even if you request one. (I also made a request and inquired beforehand, but all three helicopters that flew at the same time that day had foreign pilots.)
2. Passengers can ask the pilot questions during the flight, but if you don't speak English, you might feel stressed as you won't be able to ask about things you're curious about or don't understand in the explanations. It’s a good idea to be able to express your requests in English.
3. There is a note advising to wear black clothing for better photos, but I recommend wearing long sleeves and long pants. Skin color on your arms and legs can reflect on the window, making it difficult to take nice pictures.
4. You can purchase a USB data of the video from your helicopter for about $42 (credit card accepted). It includes the music that was playing in the helicopter, which changes according to the scenery, making it very effective. I highly recommend it as it allows you to keep beautiful footage of what you saw.

溶岩やオーシャンエントリーを空から見たいと思いこのツアーを申し込みましたが、残念ながら見ることはできませんでした。それでも、噴火後の火口や溶岩が広がったエリアを目の当たりにし、自然の力を感じることができました。
また、島内を1時間40分ほどかけゆっくりと一周するので、島の形や地形、緑の色、海の青をじっくり満喫することができます。
中でも後半のコハラ海岸やワイピオ渓谷、ワイマヌ渓谷は圧巻で、感動ものでした。あの渓谷の谷に降り立てるのであれば、滝への着陸オプションをつけるべきだったと後悔しました。次回参加する際は、着陸も試みたいと思います。
これから参加される方のためにいくつか情報をお伝えしておきます。
1．日本人パイロットは1名しかいないため、リクエストしても外国人パイロットになることを想定しておいた方がよいです。（私もリクエストし、事前に問い合わせもしていましたが、当日同時に飛んだ3台全て外国人パイロットでした）
2．ヘリの中では乗客がパイロットに質問できますが、英語ができないと、気になったことや解説でわからないことなどを聞けないため、ストレスを感じるかもしれません。見たいもののリクエストなどは英語で言えるようにしておいた方が良いと思います。
3．綺麗に写真を撮るために黒い服を着ていくよう注意書きがありますが、長そで長ズボンにすることをお勧めします。腕や足の肌色が窓に映ってしまい綺麗に撮れません。
4．自身の乗ったヘリの中の様子や見た景色の動画USBデータを＄42程度で購入ができます（クレカ使用可）。ヘリ内でかかっていた音楽（見えている景色に合わせて音楽も変えられていて非常に効果的です）と共に自身が見た綺麗な映像が残せるので非常にお薦めです。

Great way to spend a day and learn about the Big Island. If you are lucky enough to have Keith Mowibski as your guide the tour gets better by 10X. He is knowledgeable about the history of the island like no ones business. Can’t say enough good things about this tour.

We had a great time and seen so many sights! Our guide Brett had great knowledge and could answer all questions.
Because we had extra time we got to see the rainbow falls and got to go into a lava cave. Sadly the stargazing didn't happen due to clouds and rain.
Snacks, water and food were all plenty and good. Especially dinner at kilauea lodge was excellent, be it a bit rushed.
After the recent eruptions there was no lava activity, but we can only imagine how much more beautiful the sites would be with active lava flows.

第一站是Kona 咖啡園: 在這裡我們繞了一圈咖啡園,可惜的是因為是周末,只有兩個烘培機器運轉著,途中還看見了Lava Tube,就是熔岩管,它是熔岩洞的一種,從這開始了對火山的認識。在這裡有各式免費咖啡的試飲,我試了Kona coffee medium roast 與有夏威夷豆口味所混合夏威夷咖啡,各有不同的風味!Chris 為我們在桌上準備了午餐,是亞洲式午餐有日本紫薯,魚片,雞肉與白飯,配上Kona的各式果汁! 是亞洲人喜歡的口味!
第二站到了黑沙灘看海龜:Chris 雖然不能保證是否看到海龜,一下車往海灘的方向,但我們非常期待,拉著兒子的小手往沙灘前進,踩在黑沙灘上是很特別的經驗,黑沙灘的沙是冷卻的岩漿經過風力與海水沖刷而成的,沙的顆粒很小摸起來很舒服,不過一會兒就看見一隻烏龜在沙灘上休息著,大家太过興奮靠近時,被在沙灘上的救生員喊ˇ著說”請給烏龜足夠的空間"! 在這地方有標示牌請大家給他們至少30ft 的空間,不可餵食也不可觸摸!在這片黑沙灘上是開著荷花的池塘,和諧地與海邊的景色共存著,非常美麗的景色.雖然只看見一隻海龜,還是非常值得.
第三站: 一連串的火山探險之旅,首先來到火山國家公園,Chris 分享著他在前幾個夜間所拍的照片,火紅的岩漿從洞口發出,非常驚人的景色,目前能見到的是火山停止噴發後不斷地發出的煙,這時候已經來到熱帶雨林區,天氣涼爽許多,再加上小雨落下,景色非常的特別,從海邊到山上,溫度驟降,但是貼心的Chris為大家準備了外套與雨衣,不需要擔心沒有帶外套,唯一的建議是要穿包腳的鞋子!
再來去看了crater lookout, steam vests,sea Arch 還有Chains of Craters Road.分別是火山口,蒸氣口,海邊拱門,最後在僅存的舊道路上欣賞熔岩經過的歷史痕跡! 如此接近因火山活動而產生變化的自然奇景,是來到大島時一定要參加的行程! 當我們站在舊有的道路上轉身往後一看在高處則是近期因火山活動留下的黑色的痕跡,在這Chris 找出各式不一樣型態的殘留物,仔細講解著,真的是更認識了大島!
第四站:在最後一站觀星之前,我們到了Lava Cafe享用晚餐,當魚補獲的魚排餐,牛仔骨分別配上土豆尼與白飯,兒子吃的是炒粉,免費的飲料,大家都吃得很飽! 估計是全車的亞洲客人而特別預備的餐點,接著到了Mauna Kea State Park 觀星,
一下車就已經能清楚看見滿天的星斗,透過Chris 架設的高倍望遠鏡看到了火星,邱比特星跟月球.同行有人看見了流星!
我真心推薦大家參加這個行程,不論你是一個人,兩人或親子行,都能享受從行程中帶來的樂趣與各樣的驚喜!

The view of the volcano was amazing. The nature could be so destructive and beautifull

Our guide was there for us am answer all ours questions.

The diner included was in a nice restaurant and the playe were very good.

I recommend this avtivities and don't worry about the volcano. It's a very nice tour

I was really glad to have Mr. Mochizuki as my guide. Initially, my goal was to see Kilauea from above, but the views from the mountainside in the latter half were even more amazing than I had imagined. Entering the valley and looking down at the waterfall flowing into the sea from directly above is a sight you can only see from a helicopter. At first, I wondered why it was cheaper from Hilo, but after inquiring, I was convinced by the response that the experience was longer and richer in content, so I went ahead and booked it. In the end, I never felt that the price was too high. If you're hesitating, I think you can feel assured about that. As Mr. Mochizuki mentioned, it was a wonderful experience that I would recommend everyone to try at least once.

望月さんにガイドしてもらえたのが本当に良かったです。
当初はキラウェアを上から見たいと思ったのが目的でしたが、後半の山側が想像以上に素晴らしかったです。
谷の中に入って行ったり、海に流れ落ちる滝を真上から見下ろすのはヘリからでしか見ることのない景色ですね。
はじめはなんでヒロからだと安いのになーと思い、問い合わせをしたところ、内容的にも時間も長く、濃いものになってるとの回答で納得して申し込みました。結果、お値段以上で高いと思うことは無かったです。迷っているならそこは安心して良いと思います。望月さんもおっしゃっていましたが、一度は体験していただきたい素晴らしい体験となりました。

I had hoped to do a lava walk, but since it was closed off, I decided to book a helicopter tour. From my wallet's perspective, I felt like I was taking a leap off a stage at Kiyomizu Temple, but when I actually went, it wasn't expensive at all. In fact, this experience is priceless. Fortunately, the weather was great, and I could see the lava well, but what moved me even more than the lava was the Kohala Falls. Seeing multiple waterfalls with a drop of about 900 meters made me tear up at the beauty of the Earth. I thought I would like to bring my family next time. I highly recommend everyone to experience this at least once. I was so moved that I forgot to take pictures of Kohala.

溶岩ウオークを希望していたけど、立ち入り禁止になったので、思い切ってヘリコプターを予約。私のお財布からすると、清水の舞台から飛び降りるようなつもりで申し込んだのですが、実際にいってみると、ぜんぜんお高いことなんてなかった。むしろこの感動はプライスレスです。たまたま天気もよく溶岩もよくみれましたが、一番期待していた溶岩以上に感動したのがコハラの滝。落差900メートル級の滝が何本も流れている姿には地球の美しさをみて涙がでてきました。次は家族をつれてきたいと思いました。ぜひ皆さんも一度体験されることをおすすめします。感動しすぎてコハラの写真をとるのを忘れてしまった。

The tour was amazing, scenic and very informative. Our tour guide, Ryan was very friendly and considerate and we enjoyed the tour a lot. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Drew was exceptional at telling story and being flexible with peoples preference. The lunch provided was good and the scenery was beautiful with highlights everywhere including Turtles, waterfalls, rainbows and Waipo Valley.

I was looking forward to seeing the lava of Kilauea on the Big Island from an angle that can't be seen from the ground, but I was a bit disappointed as it was just smoke. However, when we entered Waipi'o Valley, it was breathtaking. I was very moved.

The pilot was also very nice.

As others in the group mentioned, we were hoping for a Japanese or Japanese-speaking pilot, but we had an English speaker instead. I think they should contact us in advance if they can't meet our request. If I had known, I would have chosen another company. It was a very good flight and the staff were great, so it was a bit disappointing to see that lack of transparency. Because of that, I am deducting one star.

地上からでは見られない角度からのハワイ島、ｷﾗｳｪｱの溶岩が楽しみだったのですが煙のみで少しがっかりでした。
でも、ﾜｲﾋﾟｵ渓谷に入って行ったときには圧巻。とても感激でした。
ﾊﾟｲﾛｯﾄの方もとても感じが良かったです。

ｸﾞﾙｰﾌﾟの他の方もおっしゃっていましたが、日本人もしくは日本語ﾊﾟｲﾛｯﾄ希望だったのに、English speakerの方でした。

The helicopter tour was wonderful and moving, with great weather. However, I had requested a Japanese guide, and that was not the case. I understood that it wasn't guaranteed, but I thought my request should have been communicated to the operating company, so it would have been nice to receive an explanation that "there is no Japanese guide." Perhaps I was expecting too much since I have always had enjoyable experiences with VELTRA, but I was really looking forward to having a Japanese guide, so it was disappointing.

ヘリツアーは天気もよく感動的で素晴らしかった。ただ、日本人のガイド希望でオーダーしていたのに、そうではなかった点。確約ではないことは承知していましたが、リクエストは運行会社に伝わっているはずですから、「日本語ではないです」旨の説明があってもよかったのかなと思いました 。今までVELTRAさんで楽しい経験ばかりだったので期待しすぎたせいかもしれませんが、日本語ガイドを楽しみにしていただけに残念です。

One thing that was a bit disappointing was that I couldn't see any lava. Even though I was looking down into the crater, it was just a big hole because it had calmed down. I thought I would be able to see the lava entering the sea, but it seems that either there was never a plan for that, or it was no longer possible due to the calm.

The optional trip down to the base of the waterfall was amazing. I can't really gauge the true scale, but it felt like being at the bottom of Kegon Falls, looking up from below. There was no one else around, so it felt like a private waterfall. There's only enough space for one helicopter to land, and I don't think you can get there by car. I highly recommend this optional tour.

The helicopter guide and pilot was a Japanese person. It seems that the group I happened to be with had booked through the guide's website, which is why a Japanese guide was assigned. Requesting a Japanese guide might not be very effective.

Lastly, it was my first time on a helicopter, and if you're prone to motion sickness, it might be a good idea to take some medication. The vibrations from the helicopter can make you feel queasy. The flight itself wasn't scary, and even though it was my first time, I didn't feel particularly moved by it (laughs).

少しガッカリしたことは溶岩が見れなかったこと。火口を上から見てるのに、沈静化したためにただの大きな穴でした。溶岩が海に入っていくところが見れるのかと思っていたら、もともとそんな予定がなかったのか、沈静化したことでなくなったなのか、見れませんでした。
オプショナルの滝の麓に降りるやつは凄かったです。本当の規模はわかりませんが、華厳の滝の滝つぼ付近に降りたってしたから上を見るような感じです。私たち以外誰もいませんのでプライベート滝？です。ヘリコプター1台が降り立つスペースしかないし、車では来れないと思います。このオプショナルはオススメです。
ヘリコプターのガイド兼操縦士さんは日本人の方でした。どうやらたまたま一緒に乗り合わせたグループの方がガイドさんのホームページから予約されたため、日本人の方がガイドに着いたようです。日本語ガイドの希望を出しても、あまり意味が無いかもです。
最後に、ヘリコプターに初めて乗りましたが、酔いやすい人は酔い止め飲んだ方がいいかもです。ヘリコプターの振動が酔いそうになります。飛行自体は怖くもなく、初めて乗ったのですが、あまり感動はなかったです(笑)

Awana, our guide was absolutely wondetful. He was so courteous, professional and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I think we best part besides the scenery, was the Hawaii Botanical Garden. It wasn’t user friendly, due to some health conditions, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and could have spent a lot more time there. Awana got us back to the airport to catch our flight in record time, after a long day.

It was early in the morning, but it was fun. The flight was at 7 AM. The price is high, but it is satisfying. You can experience the magnificent scenery of the Big Island. Mr. Mochizuki's guidance is wonderful! You can regain a pure feeling.

朝早かったけど、楽しかったです。7時のフライトでした。値段が高いけど、満足感あります。ハワイ島の雄大な景色を体感できます。望月さんのガイドが素晴らしい！ピュアな気持ちが取り戻せます。

Over all was a great experience and great day just a little cramped on helicopter for a 6fter was the only complaint. All operators were informative and friendly .

Airplane ride was amazing. We were able to see parts of the island you can't via car.

We had a Wonderful Tour Guide who gave an education about Volcanoes and the local communities in Hilo. Now that the Volcano has erupted and in the news, I can tell friends back home about my special day visiting the Volcano.

I took a helicopter from Waikoloa. It was my first time on a helicopter, and just watching the helicopters return from the morning tour got me so excited! I was given an emergency life jacket, boarded the helicopter, and was handed a headset and intercom—wow, so cool!! At first, I was nervous and a bit scared during takeoff, but it didn't shake at all, and the views were amazing, so I was able to enjoy it. Due to the active activity of Kilauea volcano, we couldn't get close to Halemaʻumaʻu Crater, but entering the bays of the Hamakua Coast and getting close to the waterfall was an experience unique to the helicopter. I was so excited that I forgot to take motion sickness medication before getting on, so I ended up looking down the whole time and got a little nauseous along the way. Next time, I plan to take motion sickness medicine and definitely want to see Halemaʻumaʻu Crater.

ワイコロア発のヘリコプターに乗りました。
人生初のヘリコプターで、朝一番のツアーから戻ってくるヘリコプターを見ているだけで、大興奮!　緊急用の救命胴衣を着けてもらって、乗り込み、ヘッドセットとインカムを渡されて、うわっ、カッコいい!!　最初は緊張していて、離陸も少し怖かったけど、全然揺れないし、景色は良く見えるしで、楽しむことができました。キラウエア火山の活動が活発だったため、ハレマウマウ火口には近寄れませんでしたが、ハマクアコーストの入り江に入って、滝に接近したのはヘリコプターならではの体験でした。興奮していて、乗る前に乗り物酔いを飲み忘れてしまったので、下ばかり見ていて、途中少し酔ってしまいました。次回は酔い止め薬を飲んで、是非ハレマウマウ火口を見たいと思います。

Mr. Mochizuki is the best! 1) He created a group just for Japanese people.
Mr. Mochizuki is the best! 2) This was my 12th time on the Big Island, while others were visiting for the first time, but the explanations satisfied both groups.
Mr. Mochizuki is the best! 3) He showed us the waterfall deep in Waipi'o Valley, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
I want to ride in Mr. Mochizuki's helicopter next time!
