The buggy ride is longer than I expected. We travel in a group with two instructors and about seven to eight buggies. At several spots, there are explanations from the instructors and photo opportunities. The views are all amazing, and the instructors take photos for you, so you can get great pictures with your companions. The road has both paved sections and gravel paths, and while it can be bumpy and quite shaky, driving isn't too difficult. The maximum speed is about 20 km/h, with an average of around 15 km/h. It’s a fun experience, and the scheduled two hours fly by.

I was happily walking through the greenery when I arrived at the waterfall. There is a shuttle service, making trekking easy. After the valley, we had lunch in the town of Haleiwa. I was impressed by the juicy hamburger!! At Matsumoto Shave Ice, I had the matcha special. I heard they make the adzuki beans from scratch every day. It was delicious. The driver was very kind and gave us helpful advice.

I participated in a sunset and stargazing tour at the summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island. It was a small group tour with about 10 people, which made for a relaxed experience.

The sandwich we had along the way was delicious and satisfying. The sunset from the summit was truly beautiful, and I was moved by the view spreading over the sea of clouds. The starry sky after sunset was also amazing, shining brightly in a way that only a high place without city lights can offer.

What made me happy was that we were the only Japanese participants, but our guide was Japanese. In between explanations to the other groups, he provided detailed information about constellations and celestial bodies in Japanese.

For those considering going to Mauna Kea individually, I recommend joining a tour. You can enjoy the breathtaking views without worrying about driving on mountain roads or managing your health at high altitudes. If you want to see the sunset or love stargazing, definitely consider participating!

Having zip lined before, I highly recommend this tour. The transportation to the ranch and a well organized. At the ranch we drove with Stone who gave us a tour of the ranch on the way to the zip line base camp, pointing out filming sites, was a nice add on that I didn’t expect. The zip lining itself was with JT, Ethan, and Aiden and the guys were awesome, specially JT, made us all feel at ease, cracking jokes and making the atmosphere fun, relaxing everyone. Safety is top notch and Ethan and Aiden were awesome helping everyone land at the platforms safely. The little handrail bar that you can hold onto as you zip make it great for a first time experience and the zip lines are also organized in a way that it starts easy and gets more fun, which is a lot better than other zip lines I did that start with the big one right off the bat and then you just get small ones at the end. The overall tour is a couple of hours and lots of fun from beginning to end, can’t recommend enough. And and JT I’m only mentioning you 3 times, if you just landed the shot it would be 6 ;)

They came to pick us up near the hotel as scheduled. There were four groups on the bus, and we were the only Japanese. During the ride, the driver shared information about Hawaii's history in English.

After arriving at Dole, we had malasadas and mineral water for breakfast. The driver also explained how to buy tickets and recommended some food options.

After the Dole experience, we went to the North Shore. Although we couldn't go to the famous sign, the driver introduced us to well-known spots before parking, and then we had free time. We could stop by Matsumoto Shave Ice, garlic shrimp, Patagonia, and more.

On the way back, we visited famous spots around Waikiki, such as King Kamehameha, while the driver provided commentary as we headed toward Waikiki. It was nice to be able to give a tip comfortably.

We seniors received hands-on support and were able to enjoy the experience without any injuries. It was my first time, and the first step was scary, but once I took it, it was exhilarating. I was able to enjoy the zip line against the backdrop of the majestic mountains and the beauty of the sea.

Unfortunately, I couldn't communicate well with the instructor and other participants, but we managed to have fun using simple gestures and a few words.

I highly recommend everyone to give it a try!

This was our third try to get this ride. Weather kept us from seeing this amazing island and coast. This time…oh my! The weather cooperated and we were given quite a tour. Our pilot, Duke, was terrific. Duke was so knowledgeable about the island. Plus, Jurassic Park soundtrack. Go ahead and splurge for the front seats…you will not be disappointed! We recommend this flight for everyone. Blue Hawaiian is terrific!

It was a wonderful tour.
My spouse and I participated in the tour. Since we were at an altitude of about 4200 meters, we were worried about the thin air and cold, but our guide was always attentive to our condition. In Haleiwa, the weather was unfortunately rainy and quite strong, but I was glad to be able to shop at the store I wanted to visit. Especially, the Florence apparel is hard to find in Waikiki, and it seemed to have just opened, so I felt lucky. I don't want to drive overseas, so I've relied on them a few times. I also took some cute photos of a cat on the beach, which I really like.
