The sunset is similar, but it's great that the view of the starry sky is wider than at Mauna Kea. The equipment was also good. Additionally, the guide's individual knowledge is incredible. I thought some of the stories about the guide's life were a bit excessive, though.

For about 10 years, I have wanted to participate in this tour, and although I traveled alone this time, I decided to join. It was a wonderful time like no other, filled with warmth and a profound sense of emotion that truly conveyed Yamapi's heart and feelings to the core.

I was able to join the tour right at the moment of the countdown from the Heisei era to the Reiwa era in Japan, and it felt like I was welcoming a new era while enjoying the sunset at Haleakalā.

Additionally, the starry sky in the best condition was more amazing than I had imagined, and Yamapi's stories brought forth feelings of gratitude and various emotions. When taking photos, he even checked the settings on my camera and smartphone, allowing me to capture pictures that I truly wanted to keep.

It was a fun and wonderful tour that makes me want to participate every year. Thank you very much!

On the day of the event, the wind was calm, and there were no clouds, creating the perfect conditions. We leisurely made our way to the summit, taking multiple bathroom breaks. At Foodland, we received recommendations from our guide, Yama-P, and it felt like we were on a little supermarket tour, which was fun! We ended up buying a lot of recommended items. We also chose our sushi for dinner there. As we climbed to the summit, we enjoyed listening to Yama-P's stories. He took us to a less crowded spot for the sunset. We enjoyed our time for about 30 minutes until the sunset. After reaching the summit, we took pictures and received explanations while it was still slightly bright. It gets quite chilly at the summit, so don’t forget to dress warmly! Afterward, we descended a bit and finally did some stargazing! While they prepared chairs, we enjoyed the dinner we bought from the supermarket in the car. It was nice to have it in a warm setting. We also had some warm tea.

When we stepped outside and looked up, we were amazed by the stunning night sky! The number of stars visible to the naked eye was unlike anything I had ever seen before, spanning 180 degrees... this was a first-time experience for me. It was truly a natural planetarium! It was beautifully set up. We also used a telescope to see many stars that couldn't be seen with the naked eye.

Other stargazing tours often require standing or viewing in the cold, which can be tough for someone like me who isn't fond of the cold. However, this tour allowed us to sit in chairs, and they even provided warm blankets and gloves, making it a thoroughly enjoyable experience without any strain!

当日は風が少なく、雲もなく最高のコンディションでした。何度もトイレ休憩を挟みながらのんびり山頂へ向かいます。途中で寄ってくれるFoodlandでは山ピーさんお勧めの物を教えて貰えて、スーパーのツアーをして頂けたようで楽しかったです！お勧めを沢山買ってしまいました。夜ご飯になるお寿司もそこで自分達で選びました。山頂到着まで山ピーさんのお話を聞きながらまったり登ります。サンセットは人の少ないスポットに連れて行ってくれます。サンセットまでの約30分間それぞれの時間を楽しみました。サンセット後はまず山頂へ。まだ薄明るい中で写真を撮ったり説明を受けます。山頂はやはりぐんと冷え込みますので、厚着をお忘れなく！その後また少し降り、最後に星空観測です！椅子などを準備して頂いている間に、スーパーで買った夕食を車の中で頂きました。暖かい中で頂けるのは嬉しかったです。温かいお茶も頂きました。
外に出て、上を見上げパッと目を開けた時には感動の夜空が広がっていました！今まで見たことのない星の数が肉眼で見れます。それも180度…こんな体験は初めてです。まさに天然プラネタリウム=天プラ！上手に仕上がってました。笑
望遠鏡も使って肉眼では見れない星も沢山見させて頂きました。
他の星空観測ツアーは立ったままみたり、寒い中見たりと、寒さが苦手な私には星を楽しみたい反面酷な時間でもあったのですが、このツアーは椅子に座りながら、温かい毛布と手袋まで下さり、無理なく楽しめる大満足のツアーでした！

I initially considered going by rental car, but it was definitely the right choice to sign up for the tour. The continuous curves and some roads without guardrails are safer to leave to the professionals. My 7-year-old and 11-year-old participated as well, and there were no issues since we took breaks and ascended slowly. For those who are prone to motion sickness, it's advisable to take medication in advance and ensure you get plenty of sleep. The tour content is as others have described, and I can only say that Mr. Yamauchi's guidance was outstanding. This is definitely a recommended tour if you go to Maui.

The food was very good. You get about 30 mins between the food and show to go to the top and see the sunset. Good spot for pictures. Then you come back down for dessert and a show, the show was okay. From the greeters to the servers to the Chief himself, everyone treated us like we were a part of the family. It felt like a big family reunion.
The food was delicious, and even if you're vegetarian or vegan like me, there are plenty of options! I had a mountain of food on my plate and didn't leave hungry.
The entertainment was my favorite part. Talented hula and warrior dancers performed traditional dances from various regions of Polynesia. So it was both entertaining and educational. I highly recommend this luau!

As soon as we set off, we spotted a pod of dolphins, which made me think we were off to a good start. However, after that, we didn't see anything and it ended there. Given the high expectations, it was disappointing not to see any whales, and the experience ended up being boring. Additionally, since we didn't see any whales, we were given tickets that could be used during the season starting the next day, but I felt there were high hurdles, such as the fact that the tickets were only valid until January of the following year and that reservations could only be made by phone (likely in English), with no option for online booking. I think it would be better if there were options like receiving a gift (such as a whale plush toy) or a re-ticket if nothing is seen.

Watching the sunset over the sea of clouds and the shadow of the Earth from the summit of Haleakalā, along with the countless stars, was truly overwhelming and breathtakingly beautiful. I believe it's not an exaggeration to say that if you haven't seen this, you might wonder why you came to Maui. We gathered quite early, and after boarding, we had to wait for over 30 minutes, which was tough with kids. However, we were happy to see a large group of dolphins right after we set sail, although we didn't spot any whales. I really appreciated how hard the captain worked to take us around and how the crew was considerate towards the children; it felt very thoughtful. After disembarking, the return journey was smooth, but I thought it would have been nice to have a little time for shopping.

随分早めの集合なのか、乗船してからぼんやり待つ時間30分以上でした。子連れには辛いですが、、出航してすぐにイルカの大群が見れてハッピーでしたが鯨みえず。
でも船長さんがかなり頑張ってあちこち飛ばしてくれたり船員の方が子供に気遣いしてくれているのはすごくわかり良心的だと思いました。

It was a pleasant cruise with great weather. Everyone on the deck was thrilled when a mother and baby whale spouted together! On the way back, a pod of dolphins appeared and put on an impressive spin show. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and I think it was enjoyable as a cruise even if we hadn't seen any whales.

It was a plan that included transportation and a cruise. As long as you are at the meeting place on time, you can relax and enjoy the convenience of being taken care of, which is priceless.

There was breakfast included, but since the weather was nice right after departure, everyone went out to the deck to enjoy themselves, so I was glad I didn’t add that option.

As for the whales, I was able to see a few spouting water and their dorsal fins. If I could wish for more, I would have liked to see more whales playing around.

The tour itself was very good, but since I didn’t get to see the whales as I had hoped, I rated it as good. I would like to participate again.

Crab and steak are my favorite foods, but my most memorable experience was with my tour bus driver, Lola Tripp. She was an amazing woman, and her lively personality and insight into oahu made my trip worthwhile. I definitely recommend anyone who wants a good experience to apply for the Lola bus! Give five stars.

Very nice time on the ship. Plenty of room to move around to see whales. Saw 8 whales on our trip. Lots of blows and flukes. I recommend this trip to anyone looking for a whale sighting. The boat was professionally staffed and the buffet was good.

At first, the children were happy to be on the boat, but perhaps due to bad luck, even though the weather was nice, we couldn't see anything. They provided trivia about whales over the intercom, but everyone around seemed a bit deflated since we didn't see anything. I'll just chalk it up to bad luck.

Amy offered a very personal tour-- only 5 of us in her van. She is well acquainted with cast and crew members and very knowledgeable about both Hawaii Five O shows. Loved how she pulled up video footage from specific episodes as we were traveling in the same locations. Even if you're not a fan of the show, this tour is a great way to see favorite Oahu spots--the courthouse, Tantulus, Punchbowl/Veterans Cemetary. And the warm malasadas topped off an amazing morning!

At first, I was disappointed because I couldn't see any whales on the day I had reserved, but I was able to get another boarding ticket. And on the second try! I saw them! I was really lucky since I had a free day! After we spotted the whales, the captain quickly moved to a spot where we could see them well, which made it very easy to view! I was so moved! Thank you! Since it was a large cruise ship, I didn't experience any seasickness. By the way, the shuttle bus fee of $15 is self-funded. We used THEBUS.

最初、予約していた日には鯨は見れず落胆していましたが、再度乗船チケットを発券してもらいました。で、２回目！見れました！予定が無い日があったので本当にラッキーでした！鯨発見後は、キャプテンが鯨がよく見えるスポットに素早く移動していただいたいおかげで、とても見やすかったです！感動しました！ありがとうございましたら！大型客船の為、船酔いも無しでした。因みに送迎バス代15ドルは自己負担です。私達はTHEBUS利用しました。
