I have been to Hawaii several times, but I had a feeling that the impression of Japanese people might not be good, so I somewhat avoided it. However, after actually going, I found that this was completely untrue. I enjoyed it just as much as any other activity.

This time, due to time constraints, I only visited the USS Missouri, but I would like to consider visiting other facilities next time. However, please note that tickets for the Arizona Memorial are on a waitlist online for same-day entry, so you cannot wait in line without a mobile phone.

The USS Missouri itself is full of highlights, and even rushing through, it took quite a bit of time. I was able to understand well what it was like when this ship was in active service.

　実際のミズーリ号は見どころ満載で、駆け足で見て回っても結構時間がかかりました。この艦が現役だった頃の様子が良く分かりました。

BK was our tour guide and driver. I know now why he was Driver of the Year in 2023. Very knowledgeable on every facet of the tour. It was our first trip to Honolulu and he provided an excellent dialogue on everywhere we visited. (and even some we didn’t!) The bus was exceptionally clean and comfortable and our scheduled pickup was exactly on time at both ends of the tour.

Even when we got close to Diamond Head, we couldn't see any whales, and I started to give up a little, but then I spotted a spout in the distance. At that moment, the boat sped towards the whale, and we got close enough to see it!

After that, the boat kept pace without disturbing the whale, allowing us to see it with Diamond Head in the background. It was such an emotional moment!

As the boat started heading back to the harbor, the other passengers returned inside, but while watching the whale, I was able to see a huge leap from quite a distance!

On the way back, we also spotted two groups of whales, so I think it's a good idea to look out for spouts. The pineapple banana bread provided after boarding was also very delicious, and we could enjoy it with tea or coffee inside the boat!

There were also announcements in Japanese explaining about the whales, so it's fine even if you don't understand English. Since they are living creatures, you can't always see them, but even if they are a bit far away, the boat gets close, so I’m glad I participated!

ダイヤモンドヘッドの辺りに来てもなかなかクジラの姿が見えないので、今日は見ることができないかもと少し諦めた時に、すっごく遠くに潮吹きが見えました。その瞬間、船がクジラの方に向かってすごいスピードで進んでいき、クジラが見える所まで近づいてくれました！
その後も、クジラの泳ぎを遮らないように、並走してくれて、ダイヤモンドヘッドをバックにクジラを見る方ができました。とても感動した瞬間でした！
船が港へ戻り出した為、他の乗客は船内に戻って行きましたが、ずっとクジラを見ていると、かなり離れていましたが、クジラの大ジャンプを見ることができました！！
帰り途中にも2グループのクジラを見る方ができたので、潮吹きを探してみると良いと思います。
乗船後に提供された軽食のパイナップルバナナブレッドもとても美味しく、紅茶やコーヒーと一緒に船内で食べることができました！
クジラの説明など日本語でのアナウンスもきちんとありますので、英語がわからなくても大丈夫です。生き物ですので毎回見られるとは限りませんが、多少遠くても船が近づいていってくれるので、参加して良かったと思います！

I was worried that my daughter, who easily gets seasick because it's a large ship, might have a hard time, but despite taking motion sickness medication, she ended up feeling sick. 😭 She couldn't even go out on deck and just sat in a chair, waiting for the return to port. I don't know why the medication didn't work, but it was unfortunate, especially since she was looking forward to it more than anyone. 😒

We were able to see whales a few times, although from a distance. 😊👌

I participated in the Pacific Star tour with hotel pick-up included. There was staff at the meeting point, and the check-in and boarding process was smooth. The Pacific Star is the cheapest option, but the buffet was delicious, and I was completely full. Refills were allowed, and there was plenty left over towards the end of the tour. Since you can eat whatever you like, I feel it's better value for money compared to other courses.

After boarding, the crew comes around to sell leis and take photos, but it's perfectly fine to decline. I didn't feel much rocking, but there were some people who looked a bit seasick, so I think it's a good idea to take motion sickness medication just in case. The crew members are friendly and approachable, so it's great if you can engage in conversation!

A truly unique experience. As you board the spacious and comfortable bus in Waikiki the staff prepares you for your journey. You are given a virtual reality headset that is adjustable and comfortable. The virtual reality is interactive, and educational. As the bus is moving it actually feels like your body is moving through the experience. The colors, animals, and sounds felt so real!

Would not recommend if you are prone to motion sickness. Would recommend if you are interested in virtual reality, and enjoy a fun ride. Comparable to a smooth rollercoaster.

I participated in February. At first, I was really wondering if I would be able to see them, but I was able to see four of them! When we went out to sea, they stopped the boat's engine and drove slowly and quietly, which allowed us to see two of them up close. I was moved by their size. They seemed to be playing together, possibly a mother and her child or siblings.

Before heading out to sea, we listened to explanations about safety and the characteristics and ecology of humpback whales inside the boat. I read in reviews that there would be staff who spoke Japanese, but it seemed there weren't any when we participated. I was with a friend who spoke English, so she briefly explained the content to me, but I thought it would be nicer if there were written explanations in various languages available (though I could generally understand without them).

The pineapple cake served as a snack was delicious, and I ended up asking for a second helping!

2月に参加しました。初めは本当に見ることができるのかなあと思っていましたが、4頭、本当に見ることができました！　沖に出ると船のエンジン？を止めてゆっくり静かに運転してくれて、それによってそのうち2頭はすぐ間近で見ることができ、大きさを目の当たりにして感動しました。親子なのか兄弟なのか、2頭で遊んでいるようでした。

　出航後沖に出るまでは、船内で、安全についての説明やザトウクジラの特徴や生態についての説明を聞きます。日本語が話せるスタッフがいると口コミに書かれていましたが、私たちが参加した際はいないようでした。英語が話せる友人と一緒だったので、彼女に内容を簡単に教えてもらいましたが、各言語の説明書きなどが置いてあるとより親切かなと思いました。（なくても大体分かりますが）

サービスのパイナップルケーキが美味しくて、おかわりしてしまいました！

We went all the way to Diamond Head and anchored for a long time near Waikiki Beach. They said there were whales, but even after anchoring for almost an hour, we couldn't see any. It was a very nice bus, and there was a restroom, so it was comfortable. The driver, who also served as the guide, was enthusiastic and entertaining. Since it was an English tour, I only understood parts of it, but I still enjoyed it even though my English isn't great.

However, we visited many places, so the time spent at each location was short, and waiting in line for the restroom further reduced our sightseeing time, which was a bit unsatisfying. The malasadas we had along the way were delicious.

The way this show was organized and put together was amazing. We enjoyed every aspect of the show. They made it feel like you were a part of the performance the entire time. The only reason I gave the good rating was because the photographer didn't take enough time arranging our family of 17 so you could see everyone in the photo. Also she quickly snapped the two pictures before we were ready so eyes were closed in both pictures. We also wanted individual family photos and she wouldn't do it for us. She would have made more money by all of us buying a photo package. The food was OK, it was a little cold and the pork was dried out.

It included transportation, but since it didn't stop at our hotel, we walked to the hotel across the street. The large bus arrived on time and took us to the boarding area!

As soon as we got off the bus, we boarded the boat and took some commemorative photos! Later, a staff member came around to show us the pictures they took! We decided to purchase one as a keepsake (laughs). Then, we enjoyed the breakfast we had been looking forward to. The morning coffee was really great!

Inside the boat, the air conditioning was on, so I think short sleeves might feel a bit cold.

We received an explanation about the whales from the captain and headed to the deck! The blue of the ocean was something you can't feel in Japan, and the view of Waikiki getting farther away! Plus, Diamond Head was clearly visible! I was already satisfied with just that.

And on that day, we were able to see whales! In fact, multiple times!!! We even encountered a mother and baby whale! There is a limit to how close you can get, so they were a bit far, but we could still see them!

The captain announced the direction of the whales, so everyone moved in unison to follow the report. Even if you don't understand English, you'll be fine just following everyone!

Before we knew it, it was time to disembark, and we took the bus back to the hotel.

Personally, I thought it was really great! It was nice to relax on the boat in the Hawaiian sea, and seeing the whales was truly moving! Since it was a large boat, I don't think you would get seasick (but it's better to take motion sickness medication just in case).

There were plenty of restrooms! They weren't super clean, but it was totally fine! I want to go again!

送迎付きでしたが、自分たちのホテルには止まらなかったので向かい側にあるホテルまで歩きました🌴時間通りに大型バスが迎えに来てくれて、乗り場まで連れてってくれました！

バスに降りてすぐに船に乗り、まずは記念撮影！後ほど、係の人が回ってきて撮った写真を見せてくれます！私たちは記念に購入しました（笑）そして、楽しみにしてた朝食をいただきました🍍朝のコーヒーがめちゃくちゃよかったです☕️

船の中はクーラーがかかっていたので半袖は少し寒いと思います。

船長からクジラの説明を受け、デッキへ！
日本では感じられない海の青さ、遠くなっていくワイキキの街並み！そしてダイヤモンドヘッドがよく見える！これだけで満足でした😆

そしてこの日はクジラを見ることができました！しかも何回も！！！🐳親子のクジラにも遭遇しました！近づける範囲が決まってるので若干遠くはありますが見える！！！

船長が◯時の方向だよとアナウンスしてくれるので、みんなその報告を受けて一斉に移動📢英語がわからなくてもみんなについていけば大丈夫です！！！

あっという間に下船になり、バスに乗ってホテルへ戻りました。

個人的にはめちゃくちゃよかったです！とにかくハワイの海で船に乗りながらのんびりできたのもよかったし、クジラも見れて感動しました！大きな船なので船酔いもしないかなと思います！（一応酔い止めは飲んでおいた方が🙆‍♀️）

トイレもたくさんありました！すごく綺麗なわけではないですが、全然大丈夫です！また行きたいです🌴🤙

I've been to Hawaii nearly 20 times, and until now, my visits were primarily for golfing. However, as I've gotten older (79 years old) and my companions have diminished, this time I went with my wife and two of her friends.

At the women's request, we went whale watching for the first time. I couldn't understand the guide's English, but I could feel the boat's determination to chase after the whales. Unfortunately, we couldn't encounter them up close, but we did catch a glimpse of a black whale breaching in the distance, along with a faint spout of water.

While I wasn't completely satisfied, the anticipation was definitely there. On the way back, the sight of the white waves crashing against the coastline of the Big Island was a breathtaking view that you can't see from the ground. However, the boat's light snack was just a single pasta dish, which was disappointing.

I felt a sense of安心感 knowing that everything went smoothly from the hotel pickup on the day of the event.

Despite the large number of passengers, the food was surprisingly delicious.

Watching the sunset from the boat was truly moving. It was my first time seeing the fireworks from the sea on a Friday night, and although it was only for five minutes, I was satisfied.

I participated with excitement, knowing that whales come to the waters off Hawaii only during the winter months for calving and raising their young. I was able to see the baby whales a few times! However, they were far away and small, and it was just for a moment, so if I could wish for more, I would have loved to see them even more. Nevertheless, the weather was great, and the cruise itself was very comfortable, allowing me to have the best time. Thank you to all the staff!

I wasn't confident about renting a car on my first trip to Kauai, so I signed up for this tour. It was great to be able to visit all the sightseeing spots in just one day. The guide explained everything well, but since it was in English, I couldn't understand. However, since it was a relaxed tour as long as I kept track of the meeting time, it wasn't a problem that I didn't understand English. This was my third trip to Hawaii, and for the first time, I participated in a solo trip. The large bus arrived right on time at the Sheraton hotel. This time, the tour consisted entirely of international guests. When boarding the Star of Honolulu, the captain welcomed us. There was a photo opportunity with the crew as we entered the ship. Later, the crew developed the photos and offered them for sale, which I believe was around $26. Many people chose not to buy, but I purchased one as a keepsake. By the way, they only accept credit cards.

Once on board, I quickly enjoyed some drinks and light snacks. There was a booklet with explanations about whales in Japanese, which I read briefly, followed by an explanation from the captain about whales. As the ship set sail, the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea was fantastic.

After a while, the captain announced over the intercom, "There are whales at the direction of ◯ o'clock (in English)," and everyone hurriedly pointed their cameras to look. Fortunately, we encountered a mother and calf whale. It was a bit disappointing that we only saw them spouting and didn't get to see any larger behaviors, but just being able to encounter them was great. I captured it all on video.

船内に入る際にクルーから記念撮影があります。

船内に入って早速飲み物と軽食をいただきました。日本語のクジラの説明などが書いた冊子がありさらっと読んだ後、船長からクジラに関する説明。
船が出航し、海から見るワイキキの街並みやダイヤモンドヘッドがとてもよかったです。

しばらくすると、船長が船内放送で「◯時の方向にクジラがいます(英語)」と放送されるとみんな慌ててカメラを向けて探します。
運良く親子のクジラに遭遇できました。
今回は潮吹きだけで、大きい仕草を見れなかったのは残念でしたが、遭遇できただけでもよかったです。
しっかり動画に収めました。

お天気にも恵まれ最高のクルージングになりました。

On the first day in Hawaii, I enjoyed a Hawaiian-style buffet. It was all-you-can-eat and very delicious. I was moved when the theme song "YMCA" by President Trump played during the second half of the Hawaiian show. It was tough to catch a taxi on the way back since the hotel wasn't on the shuttle route. It would have been nice to have guidance for the return trip.

初日のハワイでハワイアンらしいビュッフェ。しかも食べ放題でとても美味しく頂きました。
ハワイアンショーの後半でトランプ大統領のテーマソングＹＭＣＡが流れた時は、感動しました。
