I was amazed by the completely different scenery compared to what I saw from the ground at Volcanoes National Park a few years ago. According to the pilot, whether you can see the lava varies by day, but fortunately, we were able to see the lava flowing like a river from above.

The price is a bit on the higher side, but there’s no other place where you can get so close to such an active volcano, so I highly recommend the helicopter tour here.

Not only can you see the lava, but you can also experience the natural wonders by viewing the pure white steam rising from the crater that erupted 20 years ago and the vast land covered in lava from the sky.

It was also fun to be guided over jungles and waterfalls before reaching the lava.

The pilot's narration is all in English. For those who understand, the cheerful explanations with jokes are very entertaining, and you can also ask the pilot questions through the microphone during the flight. I think even those who don’t understand can enjoy just watching.

There were also elderly passengers using canes, but the staff provided good support, such as transporting them by cart to the helicopter and guiding them to seats that made getting on and off easier.

I definitely want to recommend this to friends visiting the Big Island.

数年前に火山国立公園で地上から観た時とは全く違う風景に驚きました。 パイロットの方によると溶岩を観れるかどうかは日によって違うそうですが、幸い私達はドロドロと川のように流れ出る溶岩を上空から観る事が出来ました。

値段は少々高めですが、あそこまで活発な活火山を間近で観る事ができる場所は他にはないので、ここでのヘリコプターツアーはお勧めです。

溶岩だけでなく20年前に噴火した火口から吹き上げる真っ白な蒸気や、溶岩に覆われた広大な大地を空から観る事で自然の驚異を実感することができます。

溶岩に行くまでにジャングルや滝を上空から案内してくれるのも楽しかったです。

パイロットの方の案内は全て英語。 解る方はジョークを交えた陽気な説明がとても面白いと思いますし、飛行中に手元のマイクからパイロットの方に質問をする事も出来ます。 解らない方も観ているだけで楽しめると思います。

同乗者には杖をついたご老人の方もいらっしゃいましたが、ヘリコプターに乗るところまでカートで送迎したり、優先的に乗り降りのしやすい席に案内したりと、スタッフのサポートにも好感が持てました。

ハワイ島を訪れる友人にも是非進めたいと思います。

I participated in this helicopter tour with a Japanese pilot, which was a bit pricey. Previously, when I rode a helicopter in Kauai, the pilot was a foreigner, and the other guests were from the mainland (United States). Of course, we were listening to a Japanese explanation tape, but I really wanted to hear a live explanation! So, I chose Blue Hawaiian, hoping to have a chance to have a Japanese pilot.

As a result, I had the most satisfying flight experience. The vast black land seen from above, the red, bubbling lava, the valleys, waterfalls, and expansive pastures... the beautiful coastline. It was a two-hour experience full of surprises.

以前、カウアイ等でへりに乗った際、外国人のパイロットの方で、お客さんは、私達と、本土（アメリカ）かた来た方でした。もちろん私達は、日本語の説明のテープを聞いていたので、やはり生の説明が聞きたい！と思い、できれば、日本人の方にあたる可能性もあるブルーハワイアンを選びました。
結果、最高の満足できるフライト体験をさせて頂きました。
上空からみる広大な黒い大地、赤々と煮えたぎるような溶岩
そして渓谷や滝そして広大な牧草地帯・・・美しい海岸線
驚きがいっぱいの2時間でした。

Honestly, I had high expectations for the "1-2 minutes of free fall," but when it comes to diving from above the clouds, it feels too high to really experience the fall. You just spin a few times for a moment after jumping (are you swaying?), and then you play around with the strong winds. Once the parachute opens, you start to understand what it feels like to be a bird, and the refreshing sensation takes over.

The good weather probably helped, but the dedicated Cessna was also incredibly stable. Compared to a commercial airplane moving through the air currents, there was virtually no vertical shaking.

Actually, the day before, I heard from a scuba diving instructor about another company where 5-6 people have had incidents each year, so I felt relieved to have chosen this place.

Both before and after the jump, everyone was really relaxed and willing to take photos, which suited me perfectly.

As a keepsake, I bought a T-shirt that the instructor was wearing, but $18 felt a bit pricey... (well, I guess it's like a tip).

Mr. Tim is a bit cheeky, but he's a really great guy!

雲の上からのダイブとなると高すぎて落ちる実感沸かないし、
飛び降りた瞬間だけ数回転しながら落ちる（揺れてる？）程度で
あとは強風と戯れて、パラシュートが開けば
鳥の気持ちが理解出来るかなってな感じで
爽快感の方が勝る。ってな具合でした。

天気が良かったせいもあるでしょうが
専用セスナも実に安定してますね。
気流の中を進む旅客機に比べれば縦揺れ感覚も皆無でした。

実は前日に何処とは言えませんが
他会社で年間５~６人が○○してる話を
スキューバダイビングのインストラクターから聞いていて
ココにして良かったという安心感があったのも事実です

飛ぶ前も飛んだ後もの~んびりしてて、
気軽に写真に応じてくれるし自分には合ってました

記念にインストラクターも着てるＴシャツ買ったんですが、
＄１８はちっと高い気も・・・（まぁチップの感覚で）

ティム先生はあつかましいけど非常にイイ奴ですよ

I had wanted to try this for a long time, and it was incredibly exciting. We did various activities this time, but this was number one. I highly recommend it! I wanted to take photos, but it would have been better if it were a bit cheaper. The collared shirt flapped around and was uncomfortable while flying, so be careful.

This was an activity I had wanted to experience for the past two or three years, and I finally got to fulfill my wish.

I wanted to see the scene of lava flowing into the sea, but since it's a natural phenomenon, it can't be helped.

The helicopter noise I had imagined was not bothersome, so it was an enjoyable experience.

The helicopter was safer and more comfortable than I expected. It was fine even with a little wind.

The staff's service was very kind, allowing me to enjoy the experience with peace of mind.

Throughout the journey, there was a detailed explanation by the pilot, Jason, but unfortunately, it was only in English, and I could only understand parts of it. Since conversations could only be done through the microphone, even if I said, "Wow, the volcano is amazing," the person next to me couldn't hear it.

That aside, the scenery was magnificent, dynamic, and beautiful. You can see the main points of the Big Island in about two hours, so even if you don't fully understand the explanations, I think it's a very worthwhile attraction.

My mother insisted on signing up for something she absolutely wanted to do! My father and I (both university students) were like, "What?!" This is my third time in Hawaii. Every time I go, my mother challenges herself with various activities! Climbing to the top of Diamond Head, stargazing on the Big Island at night, scuba diving, horseback riding, bodyboarding... and so on (laughs). The highlight was definitely skydiving! It's a must-do! The staff were amazing! I was surprised to see Taguchi from KAT-TUN participating privately! It became a great memory. I will go again and bring photos from that time!

Never been on a helicopter so this was really exciting for me. It is a great way to see the island. The way you are seated in the helicopter is by weight distribution with other passangers so it is by chance you get the window seat or not. The only small complain I have is that I wish the pilot could have circled or turned around on some spots so everyone could have a chance to view the scene. I was lucky to have a window seat but there where times when I had to strain over to see a tourist spot on the other side of the copter and I would be lucky if I was even able to catch a small glimpse of whatever the attraction was.

Our pilot was friendly, very personable with each one of us. I loved how he used our names as if we already had knowledge of what he was about to share with us. That was a fun way to learn. Amazing how large this volcano is!! Later in the day we drove from Hilo down to the area so we could touch the lava in person. Felt like we were on another planet. Lava and desolation for as far as we could see. Thanks for this experience. Blue Hawaiian Helicopters are the BEST!!! Awesome pilot and staff!!

This time, my husband and I experienced skydiving for the first time. The moment we jumped out of the plane was so quick that I didn't have time to feel scared; I was dropped on a count of one, two, three, so I didn't feel that much fear. The weather was nice, and the view was really beautiful.

However, while falling, the wind was strong, making it hard to breathe. Additionally, when the instructor asked me, "Do you like roller coasters?" and I answered, "Yes!" I was spun around to the right and left, which made me feel a bit nauseous. There were also others doing aerial spins.

My instructor was Japanese, so after the parachute opened, he explained various things while we enjoyed the scenery, which made it easy to understand. I'm glad I was able to land safely. The video and photos became great keepsakes.

今回主人と２人でスカイダイビングを初体験しました。
飛行機から飛び降りる瞬間は、怖いと思うまもなく、ワン・ツー・スリーで落とされたのでそんなに怖さは感じませんでした。天気が良かったので、すごく綺麗でした。
ただ、落ちている間風が強くて、息がしづらかったです。おまけに、インストラクターの方に「ジェットコースターは好きですか？」と聞かれたので、「はい！」と答えたら、右回りや左回りにくるくる回され、体を締め付けられているから、少し気持ちが悪かったです。空中回転している方もいらっしゃいました。
私のインストラクターは日本人の方だったので、パラシーウトが開いたあと、景色を
見ながらいろいろ説明してくれたので分かりやすかったです。なんとか、無事に着地する事が出来てよかったです。ビデオや写真も記念になりました。

The helicopter ride with the doors off was very cool! You can feel the heat from the lava! This tour gives you a great view of the different features of the island. It's a bit on the expensive side, but I'd recommend it if you've never done it before.

This tour was a wonderful experience! The open door helicopter was, in my opinion, the ONLY way to see the volcano's and the associated flows. We were lucky enough to witness 3 surface flows, noticeable flow into the ocean AND 2 craters with visible orange molten lava! Thanks for a great time. Emily, you were AWESOME!

I was picked up from the hotel in Waikoloa, and although I was told that a confirmation couldn't be made, I was able to ride in a helicopter piloted by the only Japanese pilot (Mr. Mochizuki) whom I had requested via email in advance. Mr. Mochizuki provided explanations in both languages to the American couple accompanying us and to us, which made it very enjoyable.

It was my first experience in a helicopter, and there was no vibration, with glass all the way to the floor. I was able to see the lava flowing into the ocean at Kilauea Volcano, and it was amusing to see the cows grazing on the vast Parker Ranch appearing as tiny dots. I was surprised to hear about the elementary school that was affected by a tsunami, located on top of an 800-meter cliff in Waipi'o Valley, and we got very close to a waterfall that has a drop of 1,000 meters, allowing us to fully enjoy the majestic nature.

Waikoloa is a dry area with brown lava land, but as we got closer to Hilo, we experienced sudden rain and saw much greenery, making for a wonderful experience of the vastness and climate differences of the Big Island in a short time! (Driving around takes a whole day, right?) Additionally, on the way back, although we had to wait for a few minutes, we could purchase the video from that day that was on board the helicopter.

ワイコロアのホテルからピックアップしてもらい、確約は出来ないと言われていましたが事前に直接メールでお願いしていた唯一の日本人パイロット（望月さん）の操縦するヘリコプターに乗せていただき、望月氏が同乗のアメリカ人カップルと我々に2カ国語で交互に説明して下さったのでとても楽しかったです。
ヘリコプターは初体験でしたが、震動もなく足下までガラス張りなので、キラウエア火山では海に流れ落ちる溶岩を見ることが出来、広大なパーカー牧場では放牧されている牛たちがまるで点のように小さいのがおかしく、ワイピオバレーでは800ｍの絶壁の上にあった小学校が津波の被害にあった話に驚き、落差1000ｍもあるという滝のすぐ近くまで寄ってくださるなど雄大な自然を堪能できました。
ワイコロアは乾燥地帯で溶岩の茶色い土地ばかりですが、ヒロに近くなると突然の雨で緑も多くハワイ島の広さと気候の違いなど素晴らしい体験を短時間で出来ました！（車で周遊するのは1日掛かりですよね）
また、帰りには数十分待ちますが、ヘリコプターに搭載されていた当日のビデオを購入することも出来ます。

Since my son's wedding is in Hawaii, I took the opportunity to challenge myself to skydiving, which I've always wanted to do, as a celebration of my upcoming 60th birthday in March. I participated with excitement and felt no fear at all; jumping from 4,500 feet was nothing. The blue sky I flew through with the instructor was amazing. Surrounded by the blue sky and blue ocean, it was a very happy experience of walking in the air.

If you're hesitating about whether to try skydiving, I definitely recommend taking the plunge. You'll experience a feeling that only those who have jumped can understand! Even now, when I close my eyes, I can feel myself flying in the sky. I'm really glad I challenged myself to skydiving! It was so much fun!!

息子の結婚式がハワイであるので、ついでと言ってはなんですが３月に還暦を迎える記念に念願だったスカイダイビングに挑戦して見ました。ワクワクしての参加で全然
怖くなく、４５００フィ−トも何のその、インストラクタ−と飛んでいった青空は最高でした。青い空と青い海、風の中、とても幸せな気分での空中散歩でした。
スカイダイビングをやろうかどうしようか迷っているのなら、是非挑戦する事をお勧めします。飛んだ人にしか判らない気分を味わえますよ！

When I was in elementary school, I saw skydiving on TV and thought I wanted to try it at least once, so I was really looking forward to it. When I told my friends, they said, "Eww, scary!" but my curiosity was stronger than my fear, and I was excited to find out what it would be like.

When I actually jumped, I was surprised by how strong the wind pressure was during free fall. The wind was so intense that it felt like it was sucking in my cheeks, making it hard to breathe, but it felt amazing. The cameraman was flying opposite me, and I wanted to pose for the camera, but I didn’t have the energy for that at all. They took about 100 pictures in total, and even though I hesitated because it was expensive, I’m glad I chose the photo package.

Once the parachute opened, it felt like I was floating down slowly, and I was able to enjoy the view from above. When I landed, my legs were shaking, but I was really glad I did it. They say it can change your perspective on life, and I felt like I could do anything.

小学生の頃、テレビでスカイダイビングをしているのを見て一度やってみたいと思っていたのですごく楽しみでした。
友達に言うと「え~~~怖い~~」って言われたけど、恐怖よりも好奇心の方が強くてどんな感じなのかワクワクでした。
実際飛んでみて、フリーホールがこんなに風圧が強いとはビックリでした。
ほっっぺたが凹んじゃうくらいの風で息をするのも大変だったけど、すごく気持ちよかったです。
カメラマンが向いで飛んでくれるのでカメラに向かってポーズとりたいのにそんな余裕全然ありませんでした。
トータルで100枚くらいとってくれたし、高いから迷ったけど写真つきにしてよかったです。
パラシュートが開いてからはふ~わふ~わとゆっくり降りてくる感じで上空からの景色も堪能できました。
地上に着いたときは足がガクガクでしたが飛んでホントに良かったです。
人生観が変わるって言うけど、なんだか何でも出来るような気持ちになりました。

I've been to Hawaii several times, but I've always wanted to try skydiving. This time, my daughter turned 18, so my husband and I signed up with her. We chose this place because we learned there had been no accidents. The staff were all fun, laughing, and relaxed! Off we went into the sky! We dove from an incredible 6,000 meters! If you're thinking about it, you definitely should do it! Words can't fully express it. You'll just want to shout, "It's the best!" I might end up skydiving every time I go to Hawaii (laughs). I participated in skydiving for the first time before turning 50. I had always struggled with amusement park roller coasters and free falls, which made me feel sick, but after seeing the Pacific Skydiving Center's website, I was drawn in and decided to sign up. My experience was incredibly refreshing; it had been a long time since I felt that way. By the time I was ascending in the airplane, all fear had completely vanished. During the approximately one minute of free fall, as I pierced through the clouds, I felt something sacred. Once the parachute opened, I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Hawaii. I could even feel that the Earth is round. There were Japanese staff members, which made me feel at ease. Although I thought the price was a bit high, I opted for the video and camera services. I definitely recommend getting those; it was great to see how I flew. I was so thrilled that I signed up on the spot to jump a second time. For anyone hesitating, I absolutely think you should give it a try!

50歳前ではじめてのスカイダイビングに参加しました。もともと、遊園地のジェットコースーターやフリーフォールは気分が悪くなってしまい苦手でしたが、パシフィックスカイダイビングセンターのホームページを見てひかれるものがあり申し込みました。やった感想は、こんなにすがすがしい気分になれたのは本当に久しぶりでした。飛行機で上空にあがっていく時点で恐怖なんてまったくなくなってしまい、約１分間のフリーホールの間に雲の中を突き抜けていくときは神聖なものを感じました。パラシュートが開いてからは美しいハワイの景色が堪能できます。地球が丸いっていうのも感じることができました。スタッフの方も日本人がいて安心できます。また、値段がちょっと高いなぁと思いましたが、ビデオとカメラをたのみました。これは絶対に頼んだほうがいいと思います。自分がどんな風に飛んだのかが良くわかりとてもよくできていました。私はあまりの楽しさにその場で申し込んで2回飛びました。迷っている方は絶対にチャレンジしたらいいと思います。
