We enjoyed the trip and thought we'd see at least one waterfall in addition to the volcanoes. After paying $670 for my husband and I, we were really put off by the "begging" for a tip for the pilot - the staff told us thee time about how to tip the pilot - felt it was really cheesy. We always tip and don't need to be told three times. Also, we asked about validating parking and were told absolutely not.
On the positive side, the pilot was very knowledgeable, took us over volcanoes and had was very skilled - we felt safe.

You get to see the whole island and popular sites to visit. It is honestly breathtaking. My wife and I took this Helicopter ride for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint! It was one of the best things that we did on Maui. It was absolutely stunning, we saw so many pretty views of Haleakala and all of its beautiful waterfalls. The cliff side landing was a gorgeous area as well. The staff was great and our pilot was experienced and was very informative during the tour. I would highly recommend booking with Air Maui!

This was definitely one of my favorite experiences. I highly recommend it. You see the island in all of its beauty. Also arrive a little early so you can get to film an extra little film on site.
Make sure you bring good sunglasses and I recommend either a bun or braid if you have long hair because just a ponytail will still hit you a bit. It does get chilly so bring long sleeves. And if you’re a freeze baby long pants too.
And if you can’t see something clearly on your feel free to ask your pilot to flip the helicopter around so you can get a better view! They’re super nice and accommodating about making sure you can see :)

I finally got to try skydiving in Hawaii, which was my number one thing to do! My partner, who can't even ride roller coasters, smiled and said this was something completely different—it was amazing!

We took a bus around 4:30 AM and spent about an hour on the ride while filling out consent forms. After arriving, we received a 10-minute briefing and waited about 20 to 30 minutes before being called by our assigned instructor.
*There was a food truck selling light snacks for breakfast, but since it was a one-person operation, there was quite a wait.

We received a briefing from the instructor about the dive and what to do upon landing before boarding the Cessna. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the dive point. After that, you’ll just have to experience it for yourself!

By around 11 AM, we were back on the bus and arrived at the hotel before noon. I tipped the instructor $20 and the driver $10.

Three out of five people in our group went to Hawaii. I watched from below.

Since the pickup time was around 4 AM and two people weren't participating, we went by rental car instead of having a shuttle. We left around 6 AM.

It seemed the weather had been bad for the past few days, and many cancellations had occurred, but fortunately, we were able to depart right away without waiting.

We arrived at the point in about 15 minutes by plane and started diving one after another. The sound of the wind was so loud that it seems I jumped without hearing the count.

The observers asked about the color of the parachutes and watched as they came down.

It was amazing!! All three were very satisfied. However, one person said the parachute spun and made them feel unwell. They suggested telling them not to spin it before starting. One person said they saw a whale.

There are additional fees for photo and video shooting. One person was filming, and the editing was interesting and good. They started filming before we took off.

Afterward, there is a tip payment, so please remember to bring cash. It seems there are ATMs available as well. There are also lockers. If someone has trouble with their shoes coming off, they can lend you some.

写真撮影とビデオ撮影は別途有料であります。１人ビデオ撮影をしていましたが、編集も面白くてよかったです。飛ぶ前から撮影してました。

I finally fulfilled a long-time dream of mine: skydiving, which I did while accompanying my son on his graduation trip in Hawaii. The time flew by, but the view from the sky was breathtaking and magnificent, something I had never seen before. It was truly amazing. The moment of freefall was incredibly scary, though!

Since the Cessna flies backward against the direction of travel, those who are prone to motion sickness should definitely take anti-nausea medication. For my wife, who has difficulty walking, navigating uneven terrain is challenging, and even short distances can take time for able-bodied individuals. Therefore, instead of sightseeing by car, we chose the helicopter experience for the first time. Although it was disappointing that there was no lava flow, I was moved by the size of the crater when viewed from above. We also saw whales, and I am grateful to the pilot who helped us find them. I had requested a pilot who could speak Japanese, but since there were no other Japanese participants, it couldn't be helped. I was worried the day before due to strong winds that could have taken the steering wheel from me, but the ride was smooth and comfortable. My wife was also in high spirits. It was great to make effective use of our time.

For our honeymoon and first trip to Hawaii, my husband and I wanted to try skydiving! I know many people might feel anxious about it, so I'll share the details.

From late February to early March, the weather was bad from the first day of our trip, with strong winds and intermittent rain. We had booked an afternoon session, but on the day of, we received a call in our hotel room from a Japanese person with disappointing news: the session was canceled due to bad weather. They informed us that we would receive a full refund and encouraged us to rebook via email if we had other dates available, so I quickly made a reservation for two days later. I hesitated about the timing since it was early, but I wanted to see the sunrise, so I changed to the first morning session.

On the day, we were picked up at 4:40 AM and headed to a location about a 10-minute walk away, where two small buses were waiting. The driver who greeted us was a foreign woman. I was a bit nervous about meeting the famous "local uncle" mentioned in reviews, but then I was taken to another bus where the driver was a male foreigner. After giving my name, I was handed a waiver and received a brief explanation in English before entering.

The waiver was written in somewhat unclear Japanese. The inside of the vehicle had a sweet smell that made me feel nauseous, so I quickly took motion sickness medication. We had some time before others arrived, so I filled out the waiver, but it was confusing and took a while, plus it contained many scary warnings. I didn't read everything. We picked up a few more participants, and while waiting, we watched a video and received explanations similar to the waiver content. It felt like we were heading to a scary place. He checked for any missing information and was very helpful, even sharing jokes. There was a need for coins for the lockers, and there was a change machine, so I made sure to have some quarters or a dollar bill for tips and photo payments, which I put on my card. We waited until our names were called, and while taking photos and exchanging money, we were quickly called up.

I met the instructor and the camerawoman, who was a veteran. They didn't speak Japanese. After receiving a very simple explanation again, we put on our gear and filmed an interview video with my husband, then waited for the Cessna!

Once we boarded, we headed straight up into the sky. I had heard it would be cold, but I wanted to embrace the Hawaiian vibe, so I wore a short-sleeved shirt, and it turned out to be fine! However, while waiting, a long-sleeved shirt would have been necessary. It took about 10 minutes to reach altitude, and I was so mesmerized by the scenery that I didn't feel scared.

We all made our final preparations, and one by one, the people sitting in the front started to jump. I was one of the last, so I watched them go. When it was my turn, I jumped with two others. It was so intense that I couldn't focus on the scenery. The camerawoman had us do various poses, and I tried my best to mimic them. Before I knew it, the free fall was over, and once the parachute opened, I could enjoy the view. It was a surreal feeling, and I even got to steer the parachute.

The parachute made me feel quite nauseous, so motion sickness medication is definitely necessary. Once we landed, we filmed another interview video, received an explanation about tips, and checked the videos and photos taken. They were expensive, but we decided to purchase both. 車の中は絶対酔う！って感じの甘い匂いでゾッとしました。酔い止めすぐ飲みました。他の方が来るまで時間があったので止まってる間に記入しましたがわかりにくいので時間かかりますし、怖いことがたくさん書いてます。全部読んでません。何箇所か参加者を拾っていき、車内では誓約書の内容のようなビデオと説明を見ます。今から怖いとこへ向かうようなビデオです。。猛スピードで1時間ほどでつきます。びっくりするほどの快晴！着いたら日本人なのかな？日本語話せる男性から説明を受けます。
中年の男性でした。パスポート、バウチャーはコピーでokです。写真の説明、記入漏れのチェック、わからなければ何でも教えてくださいます。ジョークも交えて楽しい方でした。ロッカーで小銭が必要で両替機もありますので25セント4枚か1ドル札、チップ代、写真支払いはカードにしたのでカード、あと少し多めに待ち時間が多いことを考え、現金があれば大丈夫でした。名前が呼ばれるまで待ちます。写真を撮ったり両替していたらすぐに呼ばれました。
インストラクター、カメラマンと対面です。ベテランな感じのおじさん、カメラマンは女性でした。日本語通じません。
簡単すぎる説明を改めて受け、装備を付けて旦那と一緒にインタビュー動画を撮り、あとはセスナ待ち！
着いたら乗り込みます。すぐに上空へ向かいます。寒いと聞いてましたがハワイらしさを少しでも出したく半袖で行きましたが寒さなんかないです！ただ、待ってる間は長袖必要です。
10分程で着きます。景色に夢中で恐怖感はありませんでした。
みんなで最終準備をして、一番前に座ってる人からポンポン落ちていきます。私は最後の方でしたので見送ってました。そして自分の番が来て、３人で落ちます。
苦しすぎて景色どころではありませんでした。
カメラマンがいろんなポーズをしてくるので頑張って真似して撮ってもらいます。あっという間にフリーフォールが終わり、パラシュートを開くと景色が楽しめます。不思議な感覚でした。操縦もさせてもらいました。

地上に着いたらインタビュー動画を撮り、チップの説明を受け、撮ってもらった動画、写真をチェックして、欲しい方を購入します。高いですが私たちは両方にしました。USBかAirDropどちらかでもらえます。朝日が綺麗で、地球が丸いって感じられる写真、動画で感動しました。顔の写りは置いといて。。
トータル8万くらいはかかりましたが満足です。
そして少しすると名前が呼ばれてバスへ乗り込み、ホテルへは9:30頃には着いていましたのでよかったです。
帰りに行きと同じドライバーさんへチップを渡します。若い女の子2人組がチップを渡さず帰っていくと
呆れた顔でその子達を見つめていましたので、渡した方がいいかと思います。
普段は高所恐怖症ですがこれは別物でした。
命がけですが、私達夫婦はやってよかった！って感じでした。見たことのない、経験したことのないものです。運が良かったのか優しい日本語話せる男性でしたし、気にかけて声もたくさんかけてくださり、最初から色んな話をしてくださり、また来てね、と言うような感じでしたのでトータルで満足です。

The moment I jumped out of the Cessna was thrilling. It felt amazing while falling, it was the best! However, since I get motion sickness, I felt nauseous after the parachute opened, so I couldn't enjoy the scenery much and missed the ground.

Skydiving itself was very enjoyable, and it provided a sense of freedom and accomplishment beyond my expectations.

I believe it was a partner company of Veltra, but the driver who picked us up at the Hyatt in the morning was Japanese and spoke English. He was very arrogant and had a commanding tone that didn't quite match the vibe of Hawaii.

When we arrived at the airport, I realized he was the only one at that company who could speak Japanese. It seemed like he was relied upon by many people, and since Japanese people tend to be quite reserved overseas, he seemed to be getting a bit carried away. I have studied abroad in America, so I can speak English, but others were in a situation where they could understand but not speak, so they seemed to listen to him unconditionally. He kept insisting that a tip was necessary for the return ride, which felt somewhat unpleasant.

Other than that, I had a lot of fun and think it was an interesting experience in my life. Thank you.

飛行場について分りました。その会社で日本語が話せる方は彼だけだったみたいです。多分たくさんの方に頼られてそして、日本の方はとても海外ではおとなしいので、いい気になっているような感じでした。自分はアメリカで留学したことがあるので、英語が話せますが他の方は聞けるけど話せないような状態なので、彼の言うことを無条件に聞く感じでした。しきりに帰りの送りの車ではチップが必要だと言うことを、ずっと言っていたのが、何となく嫌な感じです。
それ以外はとても楽しく、人生で面白い経験をしたと思っています。ありがとうございます

口コミ見ていたんで名物おじさんの日本語わかりにくい説明も笑いながら聞けました。マッサージマッサージ言ってるのはダイブ中の風圧で肉がプルプルする事を言ってます…。もし何もわからず当日の説明だけだとすごく不安な事になるかもしれません。ただ段取りはだいぶ悪いです。カメラ撮影でインストラクターの手首じゃなくカメラマンを希望したのが逆になっててカメラマン撮影はできませんでした。リアルな写真でよかったとこもありますが全体のもほしかった。ダイブ自体は一生に一度やった方がいいといいますがその通りだと思います。飛び立つ時だけ−16℃らしく寒いです。呼吸できません！呼吸法教えてくれます。落ちてる時は最高でしたがパラシュート開いた後 めちゃくちゃ酔いました。サービスのつもりかインストラクターが笑いながら8の字で回ったりスピード出したりしましたが自分には最悪でした。ジェットコースター苦手な人は注意必要です。1時間くらい横になってました。ただインストラクターによるみたいで静かに景色みながら降りてきた人もいました。体験はどうせやるならと思ってたハワイ…やっぱりキレイでした。
