I highly recommend booking a snorkeling adventure with Ocean Outfitters! Tyler and Captain Brandon were excellent tour guides! We enjoyed an exhilarating 20 minute boat ride to the rock island where you can climb up and jump off into 25 foot deep waters. While snorkeling, we saw lots a fish, coral, some sea urchins, a sea cucumber, and many dolphins and turtles en route to and from the island. So much fun!

There was a Japanese guide. A Japanese woman kindly assisted me over the phone. Unfortunately, if you can't see a manta, you can participate for free next time. In fact, I was able to try again for free.

On June 10th at 18:00, we saw the best sunset, but we only caught a glimpse of one manta passing by in the distance. My husband didn't see any at all.

On June 13th at 21:00, I was allowed to try again for free, and I had the best encounter with 4 to 5 mantas that spun around right in front of me multiple times. It truly felt like a manta experience. Since it’s nature... the impact and emotion were different from just seeing mantas pass by in Ishigaki Island.

Even though I don't understand English, I could feel the excitement of the crew. Since it was dark in the sea, I felt reassured participating just by understanding Japanese.

6/13　21:00に無料で再チャレンジさせてもらい、4～5枚のマンタが目の前で何度もクルクル回転してくれる最高の出会いを見れました。これぞマンタという感じでした。自然相手なので。。。。。石垣島での通り過ぎるマンタを見るのとは、迫力、感動が違いました。
英語が解らない私でも、乗組員のスタッフの興奮が伝わりました。
暗い海なので、日本語がわかるだけで安心して参加できました。

A bus will pick you up near the hotel and take you to the port where the boat is located. From there, you can board the boat and head out to sea! When we went, it was raining a bit and the weather was bad, and it was quite cold, but we were still very satisfied because we got to see sea turtles! The boat provides drinks and snacks. It was really cold, so having warm hot chocolate was a lifesaver!

We also had our children (11 and 6 years old) with us, and it was helpful that we could borrow child-sized floaties and snorkeling gear. There was one guide who spoke both English and Japanese. Since we live in the United States, we didn't necessarily need a Japanese tour, but this tour was cheaper compared to local tours, and having Japanese staff made us feel more at ease. It also seemed like many of the participants were quite reasonable people.

This cruise was great! The captain and crew were so knowledgeable about the area and were extremely concerned for everyone's safety and experience. They let us know when the water would get rough and warn people of the possibility of getting wet, were diligent when someone was getting sea sick. They made the rounds to visit, offered to take photos, and helped people get seated safely with their dinner and drink in tact. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Loved it!♥️♥️♥️We attended on our 43rd wedding anniversary.!

Loved that I booked it for the family. We had a fun time snorkeling. Pick up from hotel was great, liked that the shuttle bus driver looked for us since we stood on the wrong bus stop. The crew was amazing and very friendly. The co-captain lady was the best. She took her time to show us how to use the snorkel, fit our life vest, gave us drinks. The captain was super friendly as well. The water was warm and clean. The boat was clean, restrooms to use and to change in were clean. Snorkels were clean and easy to use. Burgers was the best and we even had hot chocolate at the end of the swim. They took us to the shallow area first which was great, and then the deeper area, we saw coral reefs, lots of fish, and even sea turtles. It was amazing thing to see.
Only thing is, they didn’t have enough seats to sit outside, so we stayed inside during boat ride, and towards the end of the ride, everyone was cold so mostly everyone went inside, so we had to stand, which is ok, about 10 mins only. Overall, still a very awesome trip and would definitely go again!

This was my third time at Sandbar, and I was finally able to participate on a day that truly felt like "this is Sandbar!"

As soon as my Hawaii trip dates were set, I checked the tide levels and made a reservation for a day that coincided with the low tide, which only happens a few times a year.

Thank you to the friendly staff. I was able to enjoy skin diving, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and other marine sports in excellent conditions with the blue sea and white sandy shallows.

If you go to Hawaii, you absolutely must experience this amazing adventure!

The boat ride was awesome. The island was beautiful. The food good. For the price point for this trip $312 a person I felt they hounded for tips and extra money for pictures. It was off putting. My family of 4 was $1248 that should be enough for the excursion. Captain pushed the issue and wanted to give staff Venmo accounts. Ugh. I am not cheap and planned for Hawaii expenses but the hounding was over the top.

I participated in June 2023. The pick-up from the hotel during my stay was convenient, and if you choose an activity with lunch included, the morning schedule isn't too early, which I recommend.

After about an hour's drive by bus, we arrived at Kaneohe Bay for boarding. There are restrooms at the dock, but it can get crowded with participants. Don't worry, there are also restrooms on the boat.

When boarding, there were separate boats for Japanese guests and guests from other countries, so the boat I boarded was filled with Japanese tourists. The guide spoke only Japanese, so there were no issues.

The sandy beach of the heavenly sea is more like a shallow area, with the water reaching up to my waist. We also had time to practice snorkeling.

As for the lunch, the hamburgers were freshly grilled on the boat, and the meat was quite delicious, which made me very satisfied.

After lunch, we moved by boat while watching the honu (sea turtles) and snorkeled for about an hour at a snorkeling spot before returning to the port and taking the bus back. I think we arrived at the hotel around 4 PM.

I was able to see the honu from the boat, but unfortunately, I didn't encounter any while snorkeling.

Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. Just be careful about sunburn.

バスで1時間ほど走ったらカネオヘ湾に到着、乗船となります。船着き場にはトイレもありますが、参加客で混雑します。船の中にもトイレはありますのでご安心を。
乗船の際は、日本人客の船と、それ以外の国の客とに分かれて船が用意されているので、乗った船はすべて日本人観光客でした。ガイドも全て日本語でしたので問題ございません。
天国の海の砂浜は、砂浜というか浅瀬になっており、腰まで海水が届きます。シュノーケリングの練習時間も兼ねておりました。
昼食のハンバーガーですが、船内でお肉が焼かれた出来たてのもので、肉もかなり美味しく満足できました。
昼食後に船で移動して、移動しながらホヌをウォッチングしつつ、シュノーケリングスポットで1時間ほどシュノーケリング、帰港、バスで送迎となります。ホテル到着は16時ぐらいだったと思います。
ホヌは船から見れましたが、シュノーケリング中は残念ながら会えませんでした。
全体を通してかなり満足のいくものでした。ただ日焼けにはご注意を。

As we crossed the mountain, it was raining in the valley, and I hoped that once we got over the mountain, it would clear up, but above the sea, there were clouds, clouds, and more clouds.

The moment we got off the shuttle and arrived at the dock, a downpour hit us ☔️. It stopped quickly, but it started raining again while we were on the boat..☔️. However, when we arrived at the sandbar, the rain stopped, and we all went snorkeling in the cloudy weather. We were able to see lots of fish and turtles! ☺️

It got a bit chilly, so we all got out of the water and enjoyed the rice balls, snacks, and drinks that were prepared on the boat during our break.

While we were resting, the sun peeked out ☀️!! In no time, the deep blue sea turned into an emerald color! I was lucky to see such a beautiful sea! After that, everyone enjoyed activities like stand-up paddleboarding and playing with floaties.

One slight disappointment was that we had to wear life jackets while snorkeling, which meant we couldn't dive down. However, since there were many corals, I think it was a necessary precaution to keep us floating and not touching the bottom. Also, since we were all snorkeling together, there were quite a few bumps and kicks throughout the experience, which was amusing. I recommend keeping some distance from each other while enjoying the activity!

The boat also provided warm drinks, so even though it was cold, it was surprisingly comfortable, and above all, I had a great time!

そのあとは各自SUPや浮き輪遊びなどで楽しめました。


ちょっと残念だったのはライフジャケットを着てのシュノーケリングなので潜れないことですかね。ただサンゴも多いので浮かせて足をつかせないようになどの配慮もあると思うのでそこは仕方ないと思いました。それから全員でシュノーケリングするので終始人にぶつかる、蹴られるが多かったです笑
各自で感覚を空けながら楽しむことをお勧めします笑


船では暖かい飲み物も用意してくれてるので寒くても案外平気ですし、なによりすごく楽しめてよかったです！

During the shuttle ride, a foreign guest made an effort to have a conversation in both English and Japanese, but the majority of the time was spent speaking in English, which made it a bit awkward. Since I participated with the expectation of Japanese support, I felt that multilingual sharing should be avoided as much as possible. Other than that, I had a great time!

送迎の車の中で外国の方が相乗りした際に英語と日本語両方で一生懸命交互に会話してくれたのですが、やはり英語で話す時間が圧倒的に多く気まずい時間でしたので日本語対応で参加している以上、多国語の相乗りは出来る限り避けて頂きたいと感じました。それ以外は大変楽しめました！

The lady's conversation was enjoyable, and perhaps because the weather was nice, the ship didn't sway at all, so I didn't feel seasick. The sea was incredibly beautiful; there's no way it wouldn't look great in photos, all of them turned out amazing. I even got to see a sea turtle, so I was very satisfied.

- The guided tour forced us to snorkel, and the details of the guided experience were unclear.
- When I asked to seat my child in the second row of the vehicle due to motion sickness, I was met with a very unpleasant expression and told to put them in the third row instead.
- I was told that they needed to keep up with the adults at the same speed, even though I have small children.
- When I mentioned that my child would be playing in the shallow water, I was told that was not allowed.
- I said that snorkeling was too difficult for my child and that we would stop midway, and I was met with various comments, ultimately being asked in a very intimidating manner, "Do you understand what I'm saying?" It's unimaginable.
- I pointed out that the voucher and the explanation during the outbound trip did not mention that we had to stay with the guide at all times and that if we didn't snorkel, we couldn't play in the shallow water, but their insistence did not change.
- I cannot recommend this at all for small children.

Even with last-minute reservations, you can feel secure as they confirm everything properly via email and phone. I was a bit anxious about the reception location since there was no sign (as mentioned in the reservation confirmation), but following the map sent with the confirmation helped me find it.

It mentioned to arrive 30 minutes early, but I ended up waiting with nothing to do until the start time, so the purpose of the early arrival was unclear.

The snorkeling experience starts with the instructor properly explaining how to handle the equipment, which is reassuring for beginners. I recommend it for those who want to safely try it out nearby. The water wasn't very clear, though.

I was lucky to see a Hawaiian monk seal that happened to come to the beach. It was my first time seeing a live monk seal.

I brought a friend who was a complete beginner at snorkeling, but the staff was very helpful, holding their hand and guiding them. My friend said they had a great time and it was a wonderful experience.

ハワイアンモンクシールがたまたまビーチに来ててラッキーでした。初の生モンクシールでした。
