Captain Alan and Casey were exceptional guides and we had the best time. Captain Alan helped my non swimming husband snorkel and experience we never thought we could have together. This time, my 9-year-old son, my husband, my mother-in-law in her 70s, and I participated together. The reception was a bit hard to find as it was located inside the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, across from the ABC Store. However, when I showed the voucher to the hotel staff, they kindly directed me to the reception area. When the time came, the staff gave a brief explanation (in all English), and then we all walked to the dock to board the boat. We were the only Japanese participants, which made us a bit anxious, but there were people from various countries joining us.

Once on the boat, the friendly staff explained snorkeling and talked to us in English. They patiently taught us how to inflate the life jackets, put on the fins, and wear the masks. As we listened to the explanations, we quickly arrived at the snorkeling spot and jumped into the sea! The beautiful ocean and numerous fish were amazing, and we even saw about five sea turtles up close! It was so close that it was surprising!

Additionally, soft drinks (like cola and Hawaiian drinks) and snacks were available for free, so we could eat whenever we felt a bit hungry.

After finishing snorkeling, we didn’t head back immediately but went sailing further out. We enjoyed many scenic views, even reaching the backside of Diamond Head. Sitting on the netting part of the boat while sailing was fantastic. We even spotted a whale, albeit briefly!

We had a very fulfilling time with snorkeling followed by sailing.

Here are some tips for those who will experience this:
1. If you are prone to motion sickness, be cautious as the boat can sway, and the waves during snorkeling can be intense. (I actually took motion sickness medication, but I still felt quite sick and had to return to the boat early. My son and husband, however, did not get sick and enjoyed the entire time.)
2. There are many other tours at the snorkeling spots, so there is a risk of getting separated if you get too absorbed in snorkeling. I made sure to stay close to our boat's staff.
3. Beginners in snorkeling may need to have some stamina. Fortunately, we were okay since we had some experience, but for first-timers, the wave height and moving to different spots might be challenging. However, it was nice that we could choose to return to the boat whenever we wanted.

I’ve mentioned three points, but overall, I am very satisfied!

受付はアウトリガーリーフワイキキビーチリゾートのホテル入って奥の方のABCストアの向かい側で初めてだと分かりずらいかもですが、ホテルのスタッフの方にバウチャー見せたら受付の場所を教えてもらえました。時間になるとスタッフの方が軽く説明をして（オール英語）、その後みんなで船着場まで歩き船に乗りました。日本人は私たちだけで不安でしたが、みなさん色々な国から参加されていました。
船に乗ると気さくなスタッフの方がシュノーケリングの説明や、色々英語で話してくれました。
ライフジャケットの空気の入れ方や、フィンの付け方、マスクの付け方など丁寧に教えてくれました。
説明を聞いているとすぐにシュノーケリングスポットにつき、いざ海へ！
綺麗な海とたくさんの魚、お目当ての海亀も五匹ほど間近で見れました！近すぎてびっくりするくらい！！
また、ソフトドリンク（コーラやハワイアンドリンク）や、スナックはフリーで食べれるので小腹が空いた時自由に食べれました。

最後シュノーケリングが終わった後はすぐに戻らず、さらに沖の方はセイリング。
ダイヤモンドヘッドの裏側の方までいきたくさんの景色を楽しめました。やっとの網の部分に座ってのセーリングも最高でした。
最後に少しでしたがクジラも見えました！
シュノーケリングの、後のセーリングでとても充実した時間が過ごせました。

以下体験する方へのアドバイス
1、乗り物酔いする方は中々船の揺れや、シュノーケリングの、波も激しいので気おつけてください。（実際私は酔い止め飲みましたが途中で酔いがひどくなり先に船に戻りました。※息子や夫は酔わないので終始楽しんでいました。）
2、他のツアーがスポットにたくさんいるのでシュノーケリングに、没頭するとはぐれる危険性があります。こまめに自分の船のスタッフさんを連れての近くにいるようにしました。
3、シュノーケリング初心者は体力が必要かも。幸い私たちはシュノーケリングをしていたので大丈夫でしたが、初めての方だと波の高さや、スポットに毎回移動するのが困難かも
でも、船に戻りたくなったら先に戻っていいのでそこは自由で自身の判断でよかったです

3点書きましたが総合的には大満足です！

Since it was early in the morning, the pickup time was 5:45 AM. We arrived at a nearby cape before dawn and waited for a while, reaching the entrance just after 7 AM. After entering at 8 AM with standard equipment (snorkel, fins) along with optional life jackets, umbrellas, and chairs, there was a presentation, and we finally made it to the beach by 8:30 AM, ready to swim. Overall, the time spent carrying our belongings was long and tiring. We did see some fish in the sea, but the scenery wasn't as impressive as we had hoped. I also thought the entrance fee of $25 per person was high.

We participated as a family of six across three generations, and with two staff members accompanying us, one of whom entered the water to provide guidance and support, my 78-year-old mother, who has paralysis on her right side, was truly grateful to be able to snorkel together. After snorkeling, there was a service of tropical fruits, juice, and snacks, which I believe offers great value for the price. I especially recommend private charters for families with small children or elderly individuals.

Originally, it was scheduled for January 30, but I received a call from Veltra the day before, asking me to change the date due to a warning being issued for the next day. So, I participated on February 1.
When I come to Hawaii, Hanauma Bay is an absolute must-visit and one of my favorite places. Although it was an early morning, I was able to enjoy it while there were fewer people. I encountered many fish and was very satisfied. The weather was great, and the view of Hanauma Bay from near the entrance was amazing!
Of course, I want to go again.

当初は1/30の予定でしたが、前日にベルトラさんから電話を頂き、明日は警報が出ているので日程を変更してくださいとのこと。そして2/1に参加させて頂きました。
ハワイに来たらハナウマ湾は絶対外せない大好きな場所。朝が早いけど人が少ないうちから楽しめました。たくさんの魚にも逢えて大満足でした。天候も良く、入場口付近から見たハナウマ湾は最高です！
