It was a wonderful experience to see such magnificent scenery, which you can't find in Japan, from horseback! Since I don't usually exercise, I was worried that two hours might be too long and that my legs would hurt and affect my plans afterward. However, thanks to the stunning views, the well-behaved horses, and the kind instructor, the two hours flew by. I also appreciated that on the day we participated, the pick-up plan included a Japanese staff member who summarized the check-in and explanation for us!

This kayaking and hiking adventure was so awesome! I was worried the kayaking and hike might be difficult but it was perfect! I’ve never been kayaking before and this was a great intro for me! The hike was absolutely beautiful as well and mostly on a board walk which is nice so you’re not having to climb through or slip in the mud. The waterfall was a tad dried up but still so
beautiful and fun to swim to. Our guide Jeff was awesome as well. Very kind and friendly and knowledgeable about Kauai. I would HIGHLY recommend the is excursion and would love to do it again!

I chose a tour with transportation included. Everyone around spoke English, but it was manageable. When we arrived, there was a Japanese guide who explained the flow of the tour to some extent. The tour itself was in English, but the video explaining how to ride and safety precautions was in Japanese. It was fun to drive through nature and see a bit of the movie set! I got quite tired. There seems to be another tour that focuses solely on the movie set, which allows for more in-depth viewing and photo opportunities. My tour only passed by the set, but even just catching a glimpse was nice! Those driving the buggies might find it hard to see the scenery?! It seemed that long pants were required for the buggies, but I forgot to wear them on the day... However, many people from countries other than Japan were wearing shorts. Japanese people are serious. Haha. But, since I ended up covered in sand and dust, those who don't want to get dirty might want to cover up. They lend you helmets and goggles, but those goggles felt unreliable. People with hard contact lenses might struggle.

送迎ありツアーにしました。周りは英語だけど、なんとかなります。着いたら日本人のガイドがいてある程度流れを説明してくれます。ツアー自体は英語なのですが乗り方や注意事項の説明のビデオは日本語でした。自然のなかを走ったり少しだけ映画の跡地をみたり、楽しかったです！結構疲れました。他に映画の跡地だけを巡るツアーもあるようでそれはもっとじっくり見たり写真を撮ったりしてました。私のツアーは軽く横を通ったりするぐらいでしたがちらっと見れただけでもよかった！バギー運転してる人は景色見づらいかも？！バギーは長ズボン必須だったようですが当日着ていくのを忘れました、、。ですが日本人以外の国の人は半ズボン多かったです。日本人真面目。笑　だけど、、結構全身砂ホコリまみれになったのであまり汚れたくない人はカバーした方がいいかも。ヘルメットとゴーグルも貸してくれますがそのゴーグルが心許ない。ハードコンタクトの人は死にます。

Yoshi was absolutely amazing! From the prompt pick up, the hospitality (tea, snacks) and the amazing knowledge, this is a tour I will always remember. Words can’t express how awesome being at that height and seeing the stars as you stand above the clouds was. Yoshi knew and shared so much and even had coats and gloves for us all as it does get cold at that height. He even showed us how to adjust the settings on our phones to timelapse and take great pictures. 1000% recommend Yoshi and this tour if you want to experience something breathtaking.

I drove a buggy for about two and a half hours on various courses such as mountain paths, forest roads, and gravel roads in the North Shore! I had been to the North Shore several times, but I was very satisfied to see scenery I had never seen before! We stopped several times to switch drivers and take photos. The guide took the pictures for us. There were several intense courses that were thrilling and fun! My face and clothes got covered in dust! (laughs) After the buggy ride, there is a water source where you can wash your face! They provide sunglasses at the beginning, but just wearing sunglasses can let dust get into your eyes while driving, so I think it's a good idea to use goggles or something similar for protection. The guide didn't speak Japanese, but he explained everything slowly and kindly, and he was a very nice person! It was a really enjoyable experience! ^_^

It seems that visitors to Maui have returned after the Lahaina wildfire in August 2023, as the area near the summit was crowded, but we were able to fully enjoy the great nature and the starry sky in a fantastic location. We also enjoyed donuts and coffee, and I was once again impressed by the kind explanations and support from Mr. Yamauchi, a veteran of the stargazing tour. This is an highly recommended optional tour for anyone traveling to Maui.

My daughter wanted to try horseback riding, so we participated as a family of three starting at 9:30 in late February. About five Japanese participants formed one group, accompanied by a guide. I thought two hours might be quite long, but the scenery was beautiful and varied, making it just the right length. The soreness in my buttocks and inner thighs was at a comfortable level.

２時間は結構長いかな、と思っていましたが風景が美しく変化に富んでいて程良い長さで、お尻や内股の筋肉痛も心地良い程度でした。

ガイドさんが途中で何枚か写真を撮ってくれて、メールかエアドロップで頂くことができます。

私の場合メールが届かなかったのですが、後日正規サイトにある予約窓口のメールアドレスにガイドさんと撮影した写真と参加時間等を添付して依頼したところ、頂くことができました。

最初はハワイで乗馬？と思いましたが、美しい風景のなかで家族と特別な時間を過ごせて感謝しています。またいつか機会があれば戻ってきたいツアーでした。

I participated with four colleagues who were beginners at ziplining, making a group of five. Everyone was a bit nervous at first, but by the third line, we were able to enjoy the flowing scenery and even strike some poses. There was also a course where two people could zipline simultaneously on parallel lines, allowing us to film our fellow zippers, which is a unique feature not found in other places. Two staff members accompanied us and did a great job of enhancing the atmosphere with their upbeat energy.

At the beginning of the tour, there were some irregularities due to minor troubles with transportation, but overall, I was quite satisfied with the tour!

Especially, I think I was able to enjoy the trip comfortably thanks to the excellent hospitality of the tour guide.

Regarding the content, it goes without saying that Diamond Head and Haleiwa were quite crowded...

If there are things you want to eat or buy, I think it's a good idea to do some research beforehand!

During this tour, there were no other people in our group, so although the guide mentioned the meeting times at each point, we were allowed to explore freely without worrying about time, which made it very relaxing and enjoyable!

Finally, I would like to share my impressions from climbing Diamond Head.

First of all, the earlier you go, the better. If you can enter early, you can secure the best spot at the top.

As for clothing during the climb, if it's sunny, a T-shirt and shorts might be a bit too warm. Even if it's cloudy, I think a long-sleeve shirt should be sufficient.

最後にダイヤモンドヘッド登山時の所感を述べさせてもらえればと思います。

まず、早く行くに越したことはありません。早く入山することができれば頂上のベストスポットを確保できます。

登山時の服装については晴れていればTシャツ短パンでも暑いぐらいです。曇っていても長袖1枚ほどで大丈夫かと思います。

ここからは裏技ですが、ダイヤモンドヘッド登山終盤(トンネル通過後)の山頂への登山方法についてです。
そこには2つの道があり、ハイキングコースを使って山頂に行く方法と階段(かなり急でおおよそ100段以上あり)を使って登る方法があります。

基本的にガイドの方も楽なハイキングコースをお勧めされ、約97%の方がそちらを利用されますが、もし体力に自信がある方、年齢が若くて身体に問題のない方は階段から行くのが良いかと思います。

その理由に関しましては、階段の方がかなりショートカットができるということと、人が誰もいないためとても早く山頂方面に向かうことができるからです。
その結果、山頂にてかなり良いスポットを確保しやすくなります。
もし、登山に出遅れた方や山頂で良いスポットを確保されたい方がいらっしゃいましたら、階段を使われれるのがいいかと思われます。

自分は小走りぐらいで登ったため、トンネルから山頂付近まで3分もかかりませんでした。
(しかしながら、走るのは危険ですのでオススメはしませんが、ハイキングコースを利用されている方をごぼう抜きできるので、それなりの達成感はありました)

最後に山頂付近になりますとかなり混雑します。
自分が行った際には基本的に問題はなかったのですが、一部某アジア系の外国の人の方(どこの国かはご想像にお任せします)やインフルエンサー？的な方(日本人でした)が身勝手な行動をされており少し迷惑にもなっておりました。
場所も場所であり混雑もしているので、行かれる方は節度を守ってみんなで楽しくサンライズを堪能しましょう！

仮に山頂付近を確保できなくとも、少し時間が経てば山頂付近は空くようになる為、写真は十分に取れますので安心してください！
特にサンライズだけではなく、ワイキキ方面の景色も絶景ですので、そちらも撮るのがいいかと思います！

Therefore, after hiking at Diamond Head, we returned to Waikiki to drop off the participants who were only joining for Diamond Head. ハレイワ方面への散策については自分たちのみでありましたが、ダイヤモンドヘッドのツアーは他の外国人の方(２組)と同じでした。その為、ダイヤモンドヘッドでのハイキング後、ダイヤモンドヘッドのみの参加者を送り届ける為に一度ワイキキに戻って参りました。
その為、ダイヤモンドヘッド後にハレイワ方面に向かう予定であった我々からするとかなり遠回りをされたという感じでありました。

しかしながら、希望をした場所にはきちんと連れていっていただいたので、満足できました。

もし途中で寄りたいと考えている場所や行きたい場所がある場合、ガイドの方にお伝えすれば連れて行っていただけるかなと思います。
逆に言うと、予め寄ってほしい場所等をお伝えしておかなければスルーされる可能性が高いため、その点は注意しておいた方がいいかと思われます。



ツアー全体の感想としては、色々と希望を聞いていただいたり、ガイドさんのホスピタリティも良かった為、満足しております！

The waiting time was really long. I wish I could have just experienced the buggy ride. Also, the dust was really intense, and my face ended up in a terrible state.
