My first skydiving experience! It was a cloudy day, and I was anxious about the long wait and whether I would actually get to jump, but somehow I was able to take the plunge about two and a half hours after arriving. I was extremely nervous leading up to the jump, but once I was in the air, it felt amazing and was over in no time. It was so much fun! There were a lot of handsome instructors, which was a nice bonus (laughs).

Besides our family, there were two families from Europe and America participating. The explanations were all in English, but that wasn't a problem.

We crossed the river on horseback and passed by a taro field.

This is a horseback riding club located near Kaena Point on the North Shore. There were six participants, and everyone seemed to be a beginner. Two staff members accompanied us, and the horses were well-trained, which made us feel safe.

We were able to ride along the beautiful North Shore coastline and had a wonderful time.

This was an amazing adventure to take! The only thing I would want to change and suggest is to bring a cushion. The seats on the bus were extremely uncomfortable. Also, I wished we would have stopped at more waterfalls, seemed to rush through them pretty quickly, but I figured they have a set schedule and placement with all the other tours. It might be better to be different and step out of the norm of all the other charters? Anyway, I did enjoy the driver Larry, he was so knowledgeable and sometimes funny!

I highly suggest taking this fishing cruise! Not only was the Captain and crew very knowledgeable on all the types of fish, the Captain put us in the perfect spot so that practically everyone on board caught at least one fish. I myself caught 4, and two of those were keepers. They were all cleaned and ready for me when we departed the boat and I was even given the perfect way to eat them. What a fun time!

Skydiving was an incredible experience! I think it will be an unforgettable moment in my life. The instructor was very kind, and from the pickup at 5:20 AM to arriving back at the hotel around 9:30 AM, there was almost no waiting time for skydiving, which made it very efficient.
However, I have one complaint. The fee for my wife, who accompanied me as a spectator, was about 5,400 yen, which I think is too high. If they are going to charge that much, I believe they should at least include drinks or light snacks, but there was absolutely no service provided.
If they enhance the services for accompanying guests, I think it could become an even better shop. Overall, though, I received satisfactory service, so I definitely recommend that those who are hesitant give it a try!

スカイダイビングは最高の気分を味わえました！人生で忘れられない経験になると思います。インストラクターも親切に対応してくれたし、朝5時20分の迎えから、終わってホテルに着いたのが9時30分頃でスカイダイビングの待ち時間もほとんど無く、スピーディーでした。

Initially, I had planned to go horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch, but I couldn't make a reservation because I applied too late. So, while searching, I found a tour that allowed me to explore the town of Haleiwa and go horseback riding, so I signed up for that.

Before the horseback riding, I received a lecture on how to ride from a Japanese driver, which helped me understand the instructor's English during the actual riding session. The instructor also spoke some simple Japanese (like right and left). At first, I was very nervous, so I couldn't really enjoy the scenery around me, and I was desperately trying to prevent the horse from eating grass nearby (I had to pull the reins to stop it!). However, as I got used to it, I was able to enjoy the magnificent nature while moving with the horse.

当初、クアロアランチで乗馬をしようと計画していましたが、申し込みが遅く予約がとれませんでした。
ならば・・・と探していると、ハレイワの街も観光できて、乗馬もできるというツアーを見つけたので、こちらを申し込みました。

始めはとても緊張していたので、なかなか周りの景色までも楽しむ余裕もないし、馬が近くの草を食べようとして（食べさせないようにこちらが手綱を引っ張らないといけない！）それを阻止するのに必死でしたが、慣れてくると馬の動きに合わせて雄大な自然を楽しむことができました。

I’m not good at English at all, but I thought I could manage by watching the people around me, so I gave it a try. Everyone except me was a foreigner, and the explanations were all in English.

At one point, I was told to grab the red cord when I reached the goal. If I didn’t, I would be pulled back like in bungee jumping and wouldn’t be able to return. The instructor worked hard to help me, but I ended up in tears… However, it was so much fun that I want to do it again!

I'm someone who can hardly ride thrill rides, but I decided to try skydiving, thinking it might be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The moment I jumped out of the plane was terrifying! However, when I opened my eyes, I saw beautiful ocean, sky, and mountains! I forgot my fear and enjoyed the scenery, thinking I had to remember it all.

Since I was on my honeymoon, it was quite expensive, but I purchased both photos and videos! Afterward, we checked the images and laughed at each other's pictures (laughs). I'm glad we made such fun memories!

I recommend bringing a long-sleeve shirt! It was hot when we were falling because the sun was so close, but it felt cold up in the air even with long sleeves.

絶叫系のアトラクションにほぼ乗れない私ですが、一生に一回しか出来ないかもしれないと思いスカイダイビングに挑戦しました。
飛行機から落ちてすぐまでは怖い！しかなかったですが目を開けてみたら綺麗な海！空！山！目に焼き付けないとと怖さも忘れて景色を楽しめました。
ハネムーンで行っていたので結構高かったですが、写真とビデオ両方購入しました！終わってから画像チェックをしてお互いの写真を見て大笑い（笑）楽しい思い出が出来てよかったです！
長袖を持って行くことをオススメします！落ちている時は太陽が近くて暑いですが、上空は長袖でも寒く感じました。

our guide was very informative of the plants & trees which made it a treat as he picked fresh guava which we all ate, delicious! The trail was a little muddy as it had rained the night before, no big deal. The waterfalls were beautiful, but the water was murky because of the rain the night before. So, we didn't swim in the pools, but the guide more than made up for it due to his knowledge an histories of the area. Very much enjoyed the tour!

This time, I participated with my 61-year-old mother and 33-year-old daughter (myself). The activity is a meet-up at the location, but it's far from Waikiki, so if you don't have a rental car, you'll need to take a taxi or find another way to get there. I drove the rental car for about 50 minutes, as there was some traffic along the way. The road at the end is an unpaved gravel road, and since there are no signs along the way, it can be a bit unsettling.

As for the horseback riding, at our 9 AM reservation, there were five other customers (two groups of two and one group of one) besides us, but those five formed one group, while we were in a separate group with one instructor for the two of us. The five-person group had a photographer with them who took pictures while they moved (we did not have a photographer).

All the explanations were in English, but they taught the basic movements with gestures, so even if you don't speak English, you'll manage. Also, during the actual horseback riding, the horses are smart, so even if you don't perform the instructed movements, the horses will keep moving along, so you'll be fine as long as you're on the horse.

It's a one-hour course, and we were able to enjoy Hawaii's nature by going through the forest and to places where we could see the ocean. If I had to wish for something, I think it would have been even more fun if the horses had a bit more speed, but overall, I was satisfied with the experience.

肝心の乗馬ですが、私達が予約した9時にはお客さんが私達以外に5人(2人、2人、1人のグループ)いましたが、その5人で1グループ、私達は2人にインストラクターが1人つく別グループでした。5人グループの方には、カメラマンがついていて写真を撮りながらの移動のようでした(私達の方にはカメラマンはいませんでした)。

説明は全て英語でしたが、ジェスチャーを交えて基本の動きを教えてくれるので、英語ができなくてもなんとかなります。また、実際の乗馬中は馬が賢いので、教えてもらった動作をしなくても馬がどんどん進んでくれますので、馬に乗っていれば大丈夫です。

1時間のコースですが、森の中や海が見える場所に行ったりと、ハワイの自然を満喫する事ができました。
欲を言えば、馬のスピードがもう少しあるとより楽しかったかなと思いますが、総合評価は満足でした。

I applied because I wanted to ride a bicycle. When I participated, I was the only Japanese person there. The announcements were in English, so I listened carefully to everything. We traveled by car from the meeting point to near the mountain summit, and from there, we rode mountain bikes down slowly. It's fine for beginners. We took breaks along the way, but since it was mostly downhill, we hardly had to pedal.

After coming down, having lunch (sandwiches) with all the participants in a small park was exceptional.

The eco-hiking afterward was amazing! We were allowed to walk on private land, and before entering, we were given rubber boots along with snacks like peanuts and dried fruits. I thought there might be some muddy spots, but we walked for about 30 minutes through a pretty muddy forest. Some people lost their balance and fell on their backs ( ﾟДﾟ). The destination was a small waterfall. It wasn't stunning, but I felt a sense of accomplishment from walking through the primeval forest. The snacks of peanuts and dried fruits we had there were exceptional.

The problem was... the return trip... We had to walk endlessly down through muddy paths. It felt more like walking through a bamboo forest than a primeval forest. My leg muscles definitely got a workout.

After reaching the foot of the mountain, I returned the muddy rubber boots and boarded the bus heading to Ala Moana Beach, where we dispersed. Some people continued on a cruise, but I got off there.

Being the only Japanese person, I experienced an overseas tour for the first time in a while!

私有地を歩かせてもらいましたが、そこに入る前に渡されたのは、長靴＋お菓子ピーナッツ＆ドライフルーツ。
多少ぬかるんでいるところもあるのかな？と思っていましたが、かなりぬかるんだ林の中を30分歩きました。途中バランスを崩して尻もちつく方もいらっしゃいました( ﾟДﾟ)
目的地は小さな滝です。見栄えはすばらしい！ってほどではないですが、原生林を歩いてきたという達成感が感じられます。ここで食べるお菓子ピーナッツ＆ドライフルーツは格別です。

問題は・・・帰り。。。
足元がぬかるんでいる下りを延々と歩きます。原生林というより、竹林の中を歩きます
なかなか足の筋肉をつかいましたね。

ふもとまで降りてきて、どろんこ長靴を返却しバスに乗り込んでアラモアナビーチに向かい、そこで解散。
その後船にのってクルーズする方もいらっしゃいましたが、私はここで下車しました。

日本人一人なので、久々に海外のツアー！を体感しました。

I had wanted to try this for a long time, and this was my first time participating! Our group met at 8:30 AM, and we started at 9. We drove there with a rental car. After arriving, we managed to check the consent form at the check-in monitor, put our wallets in the safe box for valuables, checked our bags at the luggage counter, and took care of the restroom. I hung my phone around my neck because I wanted to take pictures. Then, we were fitted with harnesses for sliding, put on helmets, and waited for the time to start. There were seven participants, including us, all from the mainland United States, along with three staff members. The staff were all friendly and attentive, checking in on us even though we didn't speak English, using gestures and confirming our understanding, which made us feel at ease during the experience! We practiced on a short course first, and then moved on to the next location by jeep. During the ride, they talked about various plants on the farm. We slid down seven courses, changing our positions and eating bananas and tomatoes along the way! It felt amazing! When they asked if it was good in Japanese, I replied, "イイネ!" (Good!). I was worried because I’m a bit overweight and not very fit besides my lack of English, but there was a course where we had to climb with a rope, and even though it was a short distance, I felt exhausted and thought, "I can't do this!" When I called out for help, they laughed and came to assist me! It was so much fun! I bought a T-shirt and a few photos, and received the photos via email by lunchtime! The price was a bit high, but the pictures turned out great! I want to do it again!

前からやってみたくて、今回初めて参加しました！私達の回は朝の8:30集合で、開始が9時。レンタカーで自分達で行きました。到着してからはチェックインモニターでなんとか同意書のチェックをして、貴重品用のセーフボックスにお財布を入れ、荷物用のカウンターに荷物を預け、トイレも済ませておきます。携帯は写真撮りたくて首からさげました。それから滑る用の綱を付けて貰い、ヘルメットを被り、時間になるのを待ちました。体験者は私達を入れた7人で、全員アメリカ本土の方。それにスタッフさんが3人居ました。スタッフの方は皆気さくで、英語のできない私達にも気を配ってくれて、ジェスチャー入れたり、わかったか確認してくれたり、色々フォローしてくれているのがわかり、安心して体験することが出来ました！最初に短いコースを練習して、そこからジープ？で移動しました。移動中は色々ファームの植物のことを話してくれてました。7本のコースを滑り、体勢を変えたり、バナナやトマトを食べたりしながら進みました！すごく気持ち良かった‼︎GOODの日本語を聞かれたので、イイネ！と、答えました！笑。私は太っちょで英語の他に体力が無いのも不安材料でしたが、途中ロープでよじ登るコースがあり、短い距離ながらもへこたれて、もう無理！と思ってヘルプミー‼︎と言ったら、笑って助けてくれました！とっても楽しく行けました‼︎Tシャツと写真を何枚か購入し、お昼にはメールで写真が届きました！値段ははりますが、いいのが撮れてました！またやりたいです‼︎

The sunset was amazing!! The view of the sea of clouds spreading out and turning a beautiful orange was truly wonderful. I don't think you can see such a beautiful landscape anywhere else. Also, on this tour, I was moved to see the Subaru Observatory, which Japan takes pride in. After watching the sunset, we did some stargazing!! The moon was out, but it was still very beautiful, and I could see quite a few stars, so I was very satisfied. I definitely recommend everyone to join this experience.

The guide was friendly and the explanations were easy to understand. Since we had extra time, we were able to visit a beautiful local beach as well. The sunset at Mauna Kea and the starry sky were truly amazing. I don't have any climbing experience, but it was easy since we could drive to the top. They also lent us warm clothing, which made it comfortable. The lunch was very delicious. I participated alone, but the guide was considerate and took photos for me, and I was able to talk with others on the same tour, which was nice.

However, we managed to arrive by relying on the car navigation system. After reading a very simple horseback riding guide written in Japanese, we put on our helmets and immediately mounted the horses to set off. That day, it was just the two of us and a female guide. The horses were well-trained and walked slowly along a predetermined course without us having to do much, so I didn't feel any danger at all. We enjoyed over an hour of horseback riding in a vast hilly ranch surrounded by stunning views of the sea and mountains. Along the way, we also encountered herds of cows and sheep. This is an experience that you definitely can't have in Japan, and I highly recommend it.

I arrived in Hawaii and participated with my family of four the day before my daughter's wedding. I wasn't sure I could make it to the North Shore on my own, and I was also intrigued by the unknown experience of "horseback riding."

Our driver and guide, S, drove safely while explaining many things along the way, and the wealth of information made it very enjoyable. Unfortunately, our stay at the Dole Plantation was less than 30 minutes, but the pineapple soft serve was exquisite. The cup had fruit on top. Next time, I want to try the world's largest maze and the pineapple train.

The purpose of visiting Haleiwa was for "garlic shrimp." Among the recommended places, we went to "Camarones," where the rice was creamy and reminiscent of a gratin. When I spoke with the staff, I learned that the chef is Japanese and was originally an artist who trained in Spain and France. The presentation was incredibly beautiful, and I was impressed, but it made sense why it was so well done. It was a good decision to pay an extra dollar to have the shells removed. This is what they mean by plump shrimp.

On our way back to the parking lot, we stopped by the local supermarket, Malama Market, and also visited Matsumoto Shave Ice. I was relieved to find it surprisingly uncrowded. We shared a large rainbow with milk for $3.50, and the ice was much softer and tastier than the ones I had later in Hawaii.

By chance, the owner, Mr. Matsumoto, was there, and we chatted. My daughter seems to have become LINE friends with him.

The main event, horseback riding, was not as concerning as I had feared. My horse, Cody, was very well-behaved and followed the horse in front without kicking (the signal to move forward) even once. However, my husband and son, along with the horses behind them, were quite eager to stray from the line to eat grass (laughs). But there were guides in front and behind us to help control the situation.

The guides took many photos, and it was truly moving to be riding along the coastal path (we even saw sea turtles) and through a small trail. I thought it was considerate that we could stop by the restroom at Turtle Bay Hotel to wash our hands. There was information about the sea turtles, and although we didn't go ashore, we managed to take a few photos at the sunny Sunset Beach and saw about three sea turtles nearby.

It was an incredibly ambitious tour, but thanks to our driver and guide, we enjoyed only the best parts. We were blessed with good weather and had a fun day. Thank you very much.

運転手兼ガイドのSさんは安全運転しながら道中の沢山のものを説明してくださり、その情報量が豊富でとても楽しかったです。
「ドールプランテーション」は30分以下の滞在時間だったので残念ですが、パイナップルのソフトクリームは絶品です。カップのは上に果肉が乗っています。
次回は世界最大迷路やパイナップル電車にも乗ってみたい。
ハレイワの街の目的は「ガーリックシュリンプ」でした。お勧めの数件の内「カマロン」に行きましたが、ライスがクリーミーなドリア風でした。スタッフさんと話したらシェフは日本人で元はアーティスト？スペインやフランスで修行された方とのことです。盛り付けも大変美しく感激していたけど、「やはりそうだったんだ」と納得しました。1ドル追加して殻をむいてもらって正解でした。プリプリのエビってのはこれの事でした。
地元のスーパーの「マラママーケット」に寄りながら駐車場に戻り、「松本かき氷店」にも行きました。意外に空いていてほっとしました。レインボー（大）+ミルクで3.5ドルで4人で食べましたが、氷が後で食べたハワイのものよりもずっとソフトで美味しかったです。
偶然オーナーの松本氏がいらしてお話しました。若い娘はLINE友達になったようです。
メインイベントの乗馬は心配したほどの事は無く、私の馬（コディ）はとてもお行儀がよく、一回もお腹を蹴らなくても(進めの合図）ちゃんと前の馬について歩いてくれましたが、夫と息子、その後ろの方の馬はやたらと列から離れて草を食べたがる馬でした(笑)
でもちゃんと前と後ろにガイドさんがついてくれて制御してくれます。
ガイドの方も写真もたくさん撮ってくださるし、なにより海沿いの道（ウミガメもみました）やちょっと入った小径を馬で移動しているなんて感動でした。
帰りに「タートルベイホテル」の洗面所によって手を洗ったりできるのも気が利いているなと思います。ウミガメどうかな？って情報でしたが、快晴のサンセットビーチにもちょっとだけ降りて写真をとり、陸には上がってなかったけどウミガメもすぐそばに3匹ほど見られました。
ものすごく欲張りツアーですが運転手兼ガイドさんのおかげで美味しいところだけ取って満喫しました。天気にも恵まれ楽しい一日でした。ありがとうございました。
