This was soooo much fun. The Best part of our trip. We had a blast snorkeling, jumping off the cliff, and even the kayaking wasn't so bad. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a way to spend a fun 3 1/2 hrs enjoying the water, catching some rays, and learning about the Island. It was GREAT!

I was a bit worried because the people I was supposed to join were not arriving, but thanks to the lively energy of some cheerful Latin American women, I had a great time. We encountered a pod of dolphins along the way, and they spun and jumped right next to the boat several times. The snorkeling was also very beautiful.
As mentioned in other reviews, I didn't have a good grasp of English, so I couldn't fully understand the explanations, and it was a bit disappointing that I couldn't communicate much with other foreigners. However, the captain and the other staff were very kind.

I participated on May 20th.
First, the reception desk was set up in front of the Body Glove boat. Staff members arrived a little before the meeting time. It seemed there were no staff who spoke Japanese, but everyone was very gentlemanly and friendly, and they kindly listened even to my broken English, which was helpful.
We encountered a pod of dolphins right after departure. I think there were about 20 of them. It was my first time seeing wild dolphins, and I was moved. By the way, we encountered them again at the same spot on the way back, so they might always be there during this time of year.
After that, it took about 40 minutes to reach the snorkeling point. There was guidance in English along the way, but I couldn't catch it because it was too fast. However, they showed us a Japanese explanation sheet, so it was not a problem at all.
You can enjoy snorkeling for over two hours at a depth of about 5 to 10 meters where there are coral reefs. The water was a bit cold and somewhat chilly, but the visibility was high and there were many fish, so I had a great time. There seemed to be life jackets available, but I was strongly recommended to use a noodle, which is a long foam float, and when I tried it, it was indeed easy to use. Of course, they also lend you a snorkel and fins.
As for meals, as soon as you get on the boat, you can freely take breakfast (bread, muffins, fruit, drinks), and when you arrive at the snorkeling point, lunch (bread, ham, vegetables, potato chips, drinks, etc., all of various kinds) is provided, which you can also eat freely. The taste was just average, but I thought it was good that there were various options.
We were the only Japanese participants, but I think it’s a tour that is easy to join because the staff is very polite. One point to note is that the boat sways quite a bit, so I think it would be safer for those who are prone to motion sickness to take some medication before participating.

John and I wanted to send this email thanking everyone at Paradise for a once in a lifetime experience on our vacation. We took one of your newer trips which flew out of Kona, over the valleys, drop off in Hilo for the day (with paid rental car), then over the Volcanoes, and back to Kona. We really enjoyed the entire day. In fact we hadn't originally thought we would get to visit the Hilo area since the drive from Kona is a couple of hours. So not only did we get to see beautiful valleys, waterfalls, and running lava from air but we got to explore the Rain forest national Zoo, The Volcano national Park, Rainbow Falls, and Akaka Falls all by land as well. Also our pilot Steve was so informative and friendly he really helped make our day just that much more special. I'm sure he flies the same routes every day, yet you couldn't tell. His passion for the land, and surroundings was contagious. Thanks again, we included some of our amazing trip photos.

Honestly, I set off not knowing what to expect.
The experience involved riding a high-speed jet board from the harbor near the King Kamehameha Hotel to Captain Cook.
There, I was able to rent a snorkeling set and snorkeled for about 30 minutes. Snacks (potato chips and chocolate chip cookies) and fruit were provided, along with soft drinks.
On the way back, we toured coastal sightseeing spots with explanations, but since the guide only spoke English, I felt a bit sad (like I missed out?).
Overall, I think it’s a refreshing experience that gives you a sense of an American adventure.

The result was a huge success!!
While waiting for the show to start, I participated in interactive events and enjoyed some cocktails.
After that, I had a buffet meal and watched the show.
Not only was there hula, but also Tahitian dance and a fire show, making it a rich and enjoyable experience.

I was able to see dolphins. I was a bit worried because it seemed that some people couldn't see them, but during my visit, perhaps due to the timing, I was able to see dolphins swimming from the hotel balcony in the morning, so I wasn't too concerned. By the way, it was around mid-May, during the new moon phase (which may not be related).
As soon as we set sail, we saw dolphins up close, and I was really excited. I regretted not taking pictures because I thought we would be snorkeling there. We ended up snorkeling at another location, which had beautiful coral reefs. They provided masks and fins, and just floating in the sea was very soothing and enjoyable. There were always meals and drinks available, and the shower and restroom were clean, so I thought it was a nice experience. It felt more like a relaxing playtime.
I also did diving as an option. I didn't understand the language, but they properly informed us about the dive sites and guided us, so I had a lot of fun. However, once you start diving, the free time (if you can call it that) becomes limited. I thought it would be amazing if we could dive in the area where the dolphins are.

On the way there and back, we encountered dolphins. We were able to stop the boat and enjoy watching the dolphins until they left. Unfortunately, the dolphins weren't at the snorkeling point, so we couldn't swim with them, but the rental snorkeling gear was very clean, and the boat had a slide that the kids could enjoy (the adults were sliding down too). They provided anti-fog spray for the snorkeling masks and tubes as substitutes for floatation devices, which made for a very comfortable experience. The snorkeling point was in shallow waters with not much wave action, and there were plenty of fish, so even kids could have fun.
There was someone celebrating a birthday that day, and we all sang a birthday song at the end. It was a fun tour.

The captain and staff speak English, but they provide a paper with important notes and destination explanations in Japanese at the beginning, so there's no need to worry. They know a lot about Japan and speak in friendly, easy-to-understand English.
We traveled to the snorkeling point by rubber boat, and we immediately encountered swimming sea turtles in the harbor. Once we hit the open sea, we sped towards our destination. The sudden increase in speed made me think I might be thrown into the water at first (laughs), but I quickly got used to it and enjoyed the beautiful blue sea and the coastline of the Big Island while cheering on the bouncing boat.
Kealakekua Bay, where Captain Cook's monument is located, is a natural spot facing steep cliffs. The waves were calm, making it safe for me, even as a first-time snorkeler. The water was crystal clear and bright with sunlight, and the beautiful coral reefs and colorful fish made me lose track of time. Although it was far away, I was also able to see a pod of dolphins.
I had a great time, but when I got back and looked in the mirror, I noticed my back and the back of my thighs were sunburned and my butt had clear tan lines from my swimsuit. Please make sure to apply sunscreen thoroughly before you go!

I joined the afternoon tour, but it was cloudy that day, and the snorkeling time at Kealakekua Bay, which I was looking forward to, felt a bit dark underwater. If you can wake up early, I think the morning tour would have better weather conditions. Although I stayed in Kona, it often became cloudy in the afternoon even if it was sunny in the morning.
I was the only Japanese person on the tour, but they provided a Japanese-language pamphlet during boarding, so I could grasp the general idea, and the captain was friendly and chatted with us, so there were no problems at all.
The rafting was a bit nerve-wracking at first as I felt like I might be thrown off, but once I got used to it, it was fine. We were shown lava caves and blowholes in a rubber boat. On the way back, we had a brief encounter with dolphins, which was enjoyable.

Since there were few Japanese passengers, there were no staff who spoke Japanese on board.
As a result, all the announcements and explanations were in English.

With fewer passengers, we were able to move around to various positions on the boat, making the watching environment the best.
I was particularly moved by the sight of the whales breaching.
I couldn't help but scream in excitement.
However, since we were expecting to see the breaching right in front of us, it was disappointing that the moment happened quite far away.
Lastly, perhaps due to the bad weather, the catamaran rocked quite a bit. Even though I took motion sickness medication, I still got seasick.
