The helicopter ride and seeing the volcano steam pots was amazing! Wish we could have seen the waterfalls closer though.

The guides were very kind! We even saw a whale by chance✨ We also saw a manta ray do a full circle right in front of us! However, I wonder if April was not the right season... I almost lost consciousness on the way back due to the cold and seasickness. I'm usually strong enough to read a book in the car without getting sick, but at that moment, the manta ray was so close that I was so moved that my seasickness disappeared. I recommend going during a time when the sea is calm and warm...

案内してくださる方々は、とても優しいです！クジラも偶然見れました✨マンタも目の前でグルっと二回！しかし、4月は時期ではなかったのでしょうか…寒さと船酔いで帰りは意識を失いかけました。車中でも本が読めるほど、酔いなどには強い方なのですが、、
ただ、マンタがあまりに近かったので、その時だけは感動で酔いは吹っ飛びました。
海が穏やかで暖かい時期はおすすめです…

My newlywed husband and I LOVED this ride. our guide Grace(?) was friendly, knowledgeable, down to earth and very kind with the horses.
horses were very sweet for the most part, clean and well taken care of. barn was also in good shape. advertised as 3 hour ride but with the drive to the barn, info session and saddling up/down the ride itself was 2 hours, which was fine for us. breathtaking ride through Waipio valley. beautiful scenery that can't be matched. only bad part is our bums hurt the next day from sitting in the saddle! :D
would love to go again!

Last time, I experienced horseback riding at a ranch on the Big Island, and it left a lasting impression, so this time I participated in a horseback riding tour in Waipi'o Valley.

It was not difficult at all, and the horses followed along quietly in line, making it a truly relaxing activity. While gazing at the Waipi'o Valley, which is said to be a power spot, the only sound was the hoofbeats of the horses, which I think is the very essence of "healing." On the other hand, if you're looking for the feeling of "controlling the horse," it might be better to run freely at a ranch.

The location of the shop might be a bit hard to find. It's more reliable to go to the observation deck first and then come back.

Horseback riding while enjoying the majestic ocean of the Big Island, and leisurely viewing the healing valley from the back of a horse—either way, horseback riding is recommended as an activity to savor the land of Hawaii.

前回、ハワイ島の牧場で乗馬を体験し、とても心に残ったので、
今回はワイピオ渓谷の乗馬ツアーに参加しました。

少しも難しいことはなく、馬も大人しく列に着いていくので、
本当にのんびりできるアクティビティでした。
パワースポットと言われるワイピオ渓谷をながめながら、
馬の足音だけが響く空間はまさに「癒し」そのものだと思います。
逆に「馬を操っている感」は薄いので、それを求めるなら牧場で自由に駆け回るほうがいいかも。

お店の場所はちょっとわかりにくいかもしれません。
一度、展望台まで行ってから戻ってきたほうが確実です。

ハワイ島の雄大な海を観ながら牧場を駆け回る乗馬、
癒しの谷をのんびりと馬の背から眺める乗馬、
いずれにしてもハワイの大地を味わうアクティビティとして、
乗馬はオススメです。

I wanted to go snorkeling, so I joined this tour. I was a bit worried because I brought my 85-year-old mother, but the cruise staff prepared various swimming equipment so that anyone, regardless of age, could enjoy themselves. My mother was able to see tropical fish and coral reefs for the first time without getting her face wet, and she was very moved. I felt it was worth bringing her along, and I'm really glad I participated. I was also concerned about seasickness, but it turned out to be completely fine. In fact, my husband took motion sickness medication and ended up feeling sleepy, and I later thought I shouldn't have given it to him. Anyway, the fun time passed in the blink of an eye, and I wished we could have enjoyed it a little longer.

シュノーケリングがやりたくて、このツアーにに参加しました。　ただ８５歳の母を連れてなので、少し心配していましたが、年齢関係なく、楽しむ気があれば誰でも楽しめるように、クルーズのスタッフの方がたが、いろいろな水泳用具を用意してくださり、母も顔に水をつけずに、熱帯魚やサンゴ礁を初めて見ることができ、とても感激しておりました。　私も母を連れて行った甲斐があり、本当に参加して良かったです。　船酔いも心配しましたが、全く大丈夫でした。むしろ、主人は酔い止め薬を飲んで反対に眠くなってしまい、飲ませなければ良かったと後で思いました。　とにかく、楽しい時間があっという間に過ぎた感じで、もう少し楽しんでいたいぐらいでした。

After snorkeling, as the reviews mentioned, my body got really cold, and I had to give up on the second snorkeling session. On the way back, the wind felt chilly, so I recommend that women wear a thick hoodie or windbreaker, or even layer up.

During rafting, the sun was strong, and the wind hit my eyes, so wearing sunglasses was definitely the right choice.

On the way back, the waves got particularly high, and the boat bounced quite a bit. It was fun in its own way, but it might be tough for those with back issues (this was also mentioned in the Japanese instruction manual).

We drove from the Marriott Hotel, and it was easy to find; it took less than 30 minutes.

This is a tour I highly recommend and would like to use again.

I will definitely use it next time.

シュノーケル後、口コミどうり体が冷え切り、寒くて２回目のシュノーケルは断念。帰りは風が冷たく感じるので、女子は厚手のパーカーかウインドブレーカーを１枚と言わず重ね着をお薦めします。

ラフティング中、日差しが強く目にも風が強く当たるのでサングラスをかけてて正解でした。

帰りは特に波が高くなり、かなりボートが跳ねます。それはそれで楽しかったので最高でしたが、腰の悪い方は確かに キツイかも・・・（日本語の説明書にも記載してありましたが）

マリオットホテルからレンタカーで行きましたが、解りやすく３０分も掛かりません。

また利用したいお薦めのツアーです。

次回、また利用します。

Show: Overall, it was great. The female dancers were very graceful, and I was captivated by them. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand the host's jokes because I don't speak English, which was disappointing. The foreigners around me seemed to be enjoying it and laughing.

Food & Drinks: There were more options than I expected, and the food was quite tasty. The Mai Tai and Lava Flow were delicious. It was an all-you-can-drink, but since I can't drink much... I didn't really feel the benefits of the premium seats. I think it's perfectly fine to go early and get seats in the front row of the regular section. The show does pause several times before it gets dark. If you time it right around sunset, you can go to the left side of the stage near the fence, where you can see the ocean and take beautiful sunset photos through the palm trees!

ショー：全体的に良かったです。ダンサーの女性達がとても優雅で見惚れました。英語が解らなかったので、司会の方のジョークが理解出来ず、残念。周りの外人さん達はウケてて楽しそうでした。料理・ドリンク：想像より種類もあり、普通に美味しかったです。マイタイ・ラバフローが美味しかったです。飲み放題でしたが、そんなに飲めない方なので・・・。プレミアムシートのメリットは特に感じませんでした。早い時間に行って、普通席の前列をゲットでぜんぜん良いと思います。ショーは、暗くなるまでに何度か中断します。サンセットタイムで日の入りが近くなった頃を見計らい、ステージに向かって左側のフェンスの方まで行くと海が見え、ヤシの木越しの とても綺麗なサンセットの写真が撮れますよ♪

At 60 years old, my spouse and I participated. It was our first time snorkeling, and I was worried about our age, but we signed up after being encouraged by comments from those with experience. We were the only Japanese participants, but the staff and other participants were kind, so we managed even without understanding English.

We received a Japanese instruction manual in advance for the history and location, as well as how to use the snorkel and goggles, but we left without having time to read it. The snorkeling experience was sufficient with just a brief lesson from the instructor. Apparently, Kealakekua Bay is the best snorkeling spot on the Big Island, and there were so many types of fish and coral that we could have watched them forever. I was surprised by the size of the purple sea urchins and the black sea urchins. We were also able to see dolphins perfectly. The rafting on the military rubber boat was thrilling, and I was very satisfied. We made wonderful memories.

However, you really need to be careful about sunburn. Once you get on the rubber boat, you can't let go of the ropes, so it's essential to apply sunscreen all over your body before boarding. I forgot to apply it on the underside of my feet and ended up with a bad sunburn on my unprotected calves. I brought a cream-type sunscreen from Japan, but all the foreign participants were using spray sunscreen. There are super strong sprays with SPF 100 available, so I recommend buying sunscreen locally. It's a good idea to read the instructions, consider the time needed to apply sunscreen perfectly, and check in early. I would like to participate again when I come to the Big Island.

６０歳、夫婦で参加しました。シュノーケリングは初めてだし年齢的にも心配しましたが、参加経験者のコメントに後押しされ申込しました。日本人は我々２人だけでしたが、スタッフも他の参加者の方々も親切にしてくれたので、英語はわからなくても何とかなりました。

歴史や場所について、シュノーケルやメガネの使い方は、日本語の説明書を事前にくれましたが、読む間もなく出発。シュノーケリングは、インストラクターのワンポイントレッスンだけでも十分でした。アラケクア湾はハワイ島で一番のシュノーケリングポイントらしいですが、魚も珊瑚も種類が多く、いつまで見ていても飽きません。ムラサキウニやバフンウニが大きいことにびっくり。イルカもバッチリ見ることができました。軍用ゴムボートでのラフティングもスリルがあり、大満足。楽しい思い出ができました。

しかし、日焼けには本当に注意が必要です。ゴムボートに乗ってからは、ロープから手を離せなくなるので、乗船前に日焼け止めを全身に塗ることが必須です。私は、足の裏側に塗り忘れ失敗しました。シュノーケリング中に、無防備だったふくらはぎがひどく日焼けしてしまいました。私の日焼け止めは日本から持参したクリームタイプですが、外国の参加者は皆さんスプレー式の日焼け止めを使っていました。SPF100という超強力スプレーもあるので、日焼け止めは現地で買うのがお薦めです。説明書を読み、日焼け止めを完璧に塗る時間を考え、早めにチェックインするのが良いですね。また、ハワイ島に来たら参加したいと思います。

I wanted to show my 10-year-old daughter dolphins on the Big Island, so we joined this optional tour. We tried three times and encountered large groups of dolphins each time.

It was my first time snorkeling, but with the support of Daisuke and Yuko, I was able to challenge myself with confidence. We kept encountering groups of dolphins, and I was constantly amazed by the wild dolphins I was seeing for the first time. I became quite exhausted after the second round, and I apologize to the M family who joined us. (I'm sorry, M family...)

Honestly, I didn't expect to see so many dolphins, so I was truly moved! As a bonus, we were lucky enough to see whales before encountering the dolphins, making it a lucky day.

I chose this optional tour based on other people's experiences, and it was definitely the right choice! Daisuke's love for dolphins is really passionate and impressive.

Lastly, thank you to Taka for being a conversation partner for my mother. She didn't go snorkeling, but she said she could see a lot from the boat and had a great time.

ハワイ島で10歳の娘にイルカを見せてあげたいと思い、このオプショナルツアーに参加しました。3回トライして、3回とも沢山のイルカの群れに出会うことができました。
シュノーケリング初めてでしたが、ダイスケさん、ユウコさんのサポートで安心してチャレンジできました。次から次へとイルカの群れに遭遇し、初めて見る野生のイルカたちに感動しっぱなしでした。私は2回目終了後グロッキーになってしまい、一緒に参加していたMさん一家にはご迷惑おかけしました。(Mさん一家、すみません…)
正直こんなに沢山のイルカに出会えるとは思ってなかったので、ほんとに感動しました！
おまけに、イルカに遭遇する前にクジラの姿も見ることができて、ラッキーな一日でした。
他の方の体験談を参考にこのオプショナルツアーを選びましたが、大正解でした！ダイスケさんのイルカ愛、ほんとにアツくて、凄いです。
最後にタカさん、母の話し相手役、ありがとうございました。母は潜らなかったのですが、船上からでも沢山見えたようで、楽しかったと言ってました。
本当にありがとうございました。

Food was tasty but not hot enough. Mai Tai drinks were excellent.

The Japanese guide spoke brokenly and had difficulty communicating. The participants were just my spouse and another young woman who seemed to speak English well, so there didn't seem to be any issues there. However, even though we were in Hawaii, it wasn't warm after the sun set, and the manta rays didn't appear. We had to float in the water for a long time waiting, and the only item to warm our chilled bodies was a single blanket. There seemed to be hot cocoa available if you didn't get seasick, but I felt nauseous and couldn't accept it. I was invited to join again the next day for free since I couldn't see anything, but I declined. To be honest, I wanted a refund for the participation fee. I felt unwell throughout the trip and couldn't enjoy my meals, and planning the manta night at the beginning of the trip was a mistake. As a professional, they should have considered the sea conditions and the needs of older guests better. The guide was overly excited and it became awkward.

日本語ガイドは片言で会話も不自由、参加者は私たち夫婦ともう一人若い女性でその方は英語が話せるようで問題なさそうでしたが、うねりがあってハワイといっても日が沈むと暖かくはなくマンタが現れないので、海の中に長い時間漂って待、冷えきった身体を温めるアイテムもブランケット一枚。船酔いでなければホットココアがあったようですが、吐き気がして受け付けません。見る事ができなかったので翌日無料で参加できますと誘われたけど、断ってきました。はっきりって参加費返してもらいたいくらいでした。旅行中ずっとグワイが悪くて、食事も美味しく食べる事ができず旅行の最初にマンタナイトを計画したのが間違いでした。プロなんだから海の状況でマンタが現れないとか、高年齢のお客への配慮が足りない。ガイドだけが勝手にキャキャハイテンションでしらけてしまった。

We enjoyed both the show and the food. We have been before but it was the first time for our daughter and granddaughter and they had a wonderful time. We all ate well and enjoyed it very much

I had seen Waipi'o Valley from above, but next time, I definitely want to ride through the valley, as my husband hopes. We were a Japanese couple among the foreign participants. It was a fun time, leisurely riding through the forest and sometimes splashing across the river. When a foreigner spurred their horse, mine reacted and charged into the river at an incredible speed—it was truly surprising! Since it was my second time riding, I held onto the reins tightly, worried about letting go, and I was relieved that nothing happened. (My husband was also worried he might fall off!) Next time, a buggy ride sounds interesting too!

ワイピオ渓谷を上から眺めた事は有ったけど、次回は是非渓谷を乗馬でと言う主人の希望で参加外国人の方達に日本人のカップルと私達夫婦でした。
林の中をゆったりと時には川もザブザブと渡りながらの楽しい時間でした。
外国人の方が自分の馬をけしかけ、それに私の乗った馬が反応し、すごい勢いで川に突進して
いった時は本当にビックリ！二度目の乗馬だったので、手綱を離すものかと握りしめ何事も
無くてホッとしましたが。（主人も落馬するかとヒヤッとしたそうです！）
次回はバギーも面白そう！

We participated as a family in mid-March. To enter the Waipi'o Valley, you can go by car, horse-drawn carriage, four-wheeler, or horseback. Since our child wasn't old enough to drive a buggy, we chose to ride horses. It was our family's first horseback riding experience, lasting about two hours, and we were able to enjoy it with peace of mind. The weather was great, making it a perfect day.

After checking in, we browsed some nearby souvenirs until it was time to depart. First, we took a large 4WD van from the top of the valley down to the horse stable office. This road was quite steep, and it seemed like only a 4WD could make it up. At one point, the vehicle almost got stuck while crossing a small river.

Two hours of horseback riding felt just right. Any longer, and I think my backside would have been in pain. There were nine participants in total: three from Europe and America, two from Asia, and our family of four. The instructions were in English, but surprisingly, the basics of handling the horse were easy enough for children to understand. There was also a discussion about helmets, and since they weren't required by the waiver, the kids were fine without them. Our family was very satisfied with our first horseback riding experience. It was exhilarating to have the horse move according to our will. At first, I was so focused on handling the horse that I didn't notice the scenery, but as I got used to it, I was able to fully enjoy the deep nature of Waipi'o.

I was surprised to learn that there are people living at the bottom of the valley. The instructor mentioned that she lived there as a child and commuted to school from there every day. She said her grandmother still lives there. Occasionally, we saw people walking, and greeting them from horseback made me feel a bit important, which was nice (laughs).

The price was reasonable, and we joined from Kona, enjoying the drive along the way. I highly recommend this tour. It was also great to see the buildings from the movie "Honeymoon in Hawaii" in the nearby town of Honokaa.

By the way, the horse I rode, named Paul, was a bit of a troublemaker. I think he probably got scolded the most by the instructor. It wasn't my riding skills, I swear—probably (laughs).

3月中頃に家族で参加してきました。
ワイピオの渓谷内に踏み入るには、車か馬車か4輪バギーか馬。
子供がバギーを運転できる年齢ではなかったので馬にしました。
約二時間の家族4人初乗馬体験でしたが安心して楽しめました。
天気も良く、最高の一日となりました。

受付を済ませ、近接したお土産物を見ているうちに出発時間。
まずは大きな４ＷＤのバンで渓谷の上から下の馬小屋事務所まで。
この道もすごい崖で4WD以外はちょっと登れなくなりそう。
途中、小さな川を渡るときも車がはまりかけました。

乗馬の2時間もちょうどいいかな。これ以上だとお尻が悲鳴をあげそうです。
参加人数は、9人でした。内欧米人が3人、アジア系が2人と我が家の4名。
説明は英語でしたが意外と基本の馬の扱いは簡単で、子供でも乗り方は十分理解できます。
何度か話題になってるヘルメットも誓約書に要らないとすれば子供もかぶらずにOKでしたよ。
初めての乗馬に家族も大満足。馬が自分の意思どおりに動くのは快感です。
前半は馬の扱いに夢中で景色に気が回りませんでしたが、慣れてくるとワイピオの深い大自然を堪能できました。

びっくりしたのは渓谷の下にも住んでいる人がいること。
インストラクターのお姉さんも子供のころは渓谷の下に住んでいて毎日そこから学校に
通っていたそうです。おばあちゃんは今でも住んでるって言ってた。
たまに歩いてる人がいるんだけど、馬の上から挨拶するとちょっと自分が偉くなったようで
気分がよかったです(笑)

お値段も安いし、KONAから参加したんですが途中のドライブもいい感じだし、
お勧めのツアーですね。
近くにあるホノカア（昔、ホノカアボーイという映画の舞台になった）の町で
映画の建物を見れたのも良かったです。

ちなみに私が乗ったポールという馬はちょっと暴れん坊でした。
たぶんインストラクターのお姉さんに一番怒られてたんじゃないかな。
私の乗馬の技術のせいではないですよ～、たぶん(笑)

One of the things I want to try in Hawaii!
I highly recommend it to everyone!

It's been decades since I last went into the ocean (laughs). No need to worry, it's all good.
Even if you can't swim well, they will guide you to the points.
Thanks to the attentive care of the staff, I was able to meet the dolphins.

It seems that there was a massive occurrence that day (is that the right expression?)...
Daisuke and the staff said, "Don't expect to see this many dolphins all the time. It's a rare day when this happens a few times a year!"
It was a series of great excitement.
I was thrilled to see the dolphins dancing and even flying above the water's surface (about 2 meters away)!
I wished I could swim freely.
I was also able to hear the dolphins' calls.

皆さんにお薦めのひとつ!

海の中に入るなんて何十年ぶり(笑) ご心配ありません。大丈夫です。
上手く泳げなくても、手を引いてポイントに連れて行ってくださいます。
スタッフの方々の細やかな気遣いに助けられ、イルカちゃん達に 出会えました。

どうやら、この日は大量発生(表現がおかしい?)だったようで…
ダイスケさんをはじめスタッフの方は「いつもこんなにたくさん出会えると思わないで。年に数回の大量の日ですよ」
と、言っていたほど !! 大興奮の連続。
イルカのダンスも、、水面を飛んでる姿(2m位の至近距離)も見ることが出来 感激!!
自分が自由に泳げたら と 思いました。
イルカちゃん達の鳴き声も聞くことができました。

ダイスケさん、YUKOさん、スタッフの皆さん 素敵な出会いに感謝いたします。

I had been somewhat apprehensive as had never been on a helicopter before but I loved it!! What a way to see the volcano and surrounding area!! I was accompanied by my sisters and their husbands and it was enjoyed by all!!

I wanted to do something exciting for my partners birthday this year. I found this searching the net and thought it would be an awesome experience for both of us whilst on our first holiday together and it was all that and more. The team were super friendly, professional and helpful, making this an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone venturing to the Big Island. Exciting, slightly frightening (sometimes you have to do things that scare you a little...) and a great way to take in all the beautiful surrounding of Hawaii. Hilo was truly beautiful, even if it was a little damp.

Our family had a wonderful experience, well spent money. Our guide was friendly and experienced. We saw dolphins, whales and the snorkelling was wonderful. Would highly recommend it!

The zipline trip was a lot of fun. The views were great. Zipping over or past a couple of waterfalls was cool.
We happened to be there when the owners/bosses were out trying some new things. They took time to talk to us and genuinely solicited feedback that would make this and other tours more enjoyable. They were as friendly and personable as our excellent guides, Tim and Nainoa, jumping in to take photos, check on us to make sure we were having a good time, and to provide local information. Sure, they want more business, but also wanted to make sure we had enough fun that we would be repeat business as well. I'm sold. I highly recommend this zip for anyone looking to have some fun and excitement, see some cool scenery, and chat with a couple of locals.
If you go in realizing this is not constant action, you will enjoy this trip. Remember, it does take time to clip and unclip a group of people, one by one. We set sail on the Zodiac and within less than 20 minutes, we unexpectedly encountered a family of whales. It was an astonishing surprise when a baby whale swam beneath the boat, and both the participants and the guide were thrilled. We could even hear their calls through the underwater microphone. After playing with the whales for about 30 minutes, we moved the boat forward for about 10 minutes and encountered another family of whales. It was an unexpected experience. After finishing snorkeling in the beautiful sea with Captain Cook's monument, a large pod of dolphins appeared, swimming around the boat, and we lost track of time as we all cheered together. It’s rare to have such encounters with whales and dolphins, but we had an unexpected experience, making it a wonderful tour.

ソディアック号で出港して20分足らずで何と鯨の家族とバッタリ遭遇。子鯨がボートの下で泳ぐというビックリするようなハプニングで参加者はじめガイドさんも大興奮。水中マイクで鳴き声まで聞けました。30分程鯨と遊んでから10分ほどボートを進めると別な鯨の家族と遭遇。思いがけない体験ができました。キャプテンクックのモニュメントがある綺麗な海でのシュノーケリングを終えると今度はイルカの大群が現れボートの周辺を泳ぎ、時を忘れて皆で歓声を上げました。今回ほど鯨やイルカと会えることは珍しいとのことですが、思いかけない体験ができ、素晴らしいツアーになりました。

Fabulous time, saw young humpbacks repeat breeches very close to the boat. Best part was when the sails were up. Well worth it.

Mark and Micah were so enthusiastic and knowledgeable! It made for a great time and they had great personalities! Great with our kids and let them help steer the boat! So fun. My only wish is that it was 1 hour or more.

Fun and well organized experience. This is a very physical activity and should be attempted by people who are in good physical condition. This is especially true in rough surf. Tour guides were attentive and knowledgeable.

Wow we saw momma baby and daddy humpbacks was saw whales all around us their tales were enormous it was the best day. We went mid morning the catamaran was spacious and very comfortable. Easy to board. The crew was very informative and friendly they were just as excited with all the action around us. We went in February 2015. I would highly recommend this tour.

We participated as a couple in our 30s with our 4-year-old son. This was our first time on the Big Island, and we were looking for activities to fully enjoy the ocean there. Since this activity allowed children aged 4 and up, we made a reservation right away.

Before getting on the boat, I was a bit worried about whether my 4-year-old would be safe and not fall off, but he was able to sit on a platform in the middle of the boat, resting his feet on my wife's legs, so there was no worry of him being thrown off. (He did bounce around a bit when the boat hit waves, but it seemed like he enjoyed that!) The captain, along with a female staff member and her child, was very attentive to our son throughout the trip. During snorkeling, my wife and I initially took turns looking after our son on the boat while the other snorkeled, but at one point, the captain said, "I'll watch the child, so you two go ahead," which allowed my wife and me to enjoy snorkeling together, and we were very grateful for that. They also provided a child-sized float (with a transparent center so he could see underwater), but our son didn't want to go into the water and didn't use it. I think even those with small children can participate without too much worry.

Here’s a summary of the activity we participated in. There were a total of seven of us, including two American couples (in their 40s) and us. We departed from the harbor and first saw a pod of dolphins near the harbor. We were able to see countless dolphins up close, which was already an emotional experience! After that, we sped out to the whale observation spot. Rafting while taking in the magnificent scenery of the Big Island was simply amazing! Later, we spotted a pod of whales while cruising and were able to observe them closely. My son was thrilled, exclaiming, "I saw the whale's face!" Later, we learned from a local that this year is a particularly good year for whales.

Next, we headed south to the bay with the Captain Cook monument for snorkeling. This spot is famous for snorkeling, and there were several other snorkeling boats already anchored there. We were able to observe a wide variety of tropical fish up close, which explains why it’s a popular snorkeling spot! Lunch on the boat consisted of homemade chicken sandwiches, snacks, and juice. The sandwiches were truly delicious (I ended up eating two after the captain recommended them). The snacks made our son very happy, and thanks to that, he waited patiently on the boat without fussing. We had about an hour and a half of snorkeling time, which was very satisfying.

Afterward, we returned to the harbor while touring the magnificent cliffs shaped by volcanic activity and ocean waves, with the captain providing explanations. During this time, he also entertained us with sharp turns and jumps of the boat.

Here are some points to note based on our experience. All conversations were in English. Even with limited English, we could communicate our needs and understand the captain, so there were no issues participating in the activity. However, the explanations about the ecology of dolphins and whales, as well as about Captain Cook and the cliffs (which I believe were about the goddess Pele) were all in English, so I couldn't catch everything with my limited understanding. Personally, I was very satisfied with the experience even without the explanations.

Also, to take photos, a waterproof camera is essential. When boarding the boat, we had to gather our belongings at the front, and it wasn't easy to grab them quickly when we spotted dolphins or whales. One couple brought their iPhone in a waterproof pouch hanging around their neck and also had an underwater instant camera. We regretted not bringing ours as well.

I truly believe that the content we received for this price offers excellent cost performance. We had an amazing time!

30代夫婦と4歳の長男で参加しました。
初ハワイ島でハワイ島の海を満喫できるアクティビティを探していたのですが、丁度4歳以上で参加可となっていましたので、即予約いたしました。
ボートに乗るまでは4歳の子供だとボートから振り落とされないかな？と不安もあったのですが、ボートの真ん中の台のような場所で、妻が伸ばした足の上に乗るかたちで座らせてもらえ、振り落とされる心配もありませんでした。（ボートがバウンドする際はぴょんぴょん跳ねてましたが笑、それも楽しんでいたようです）
また、キャプテン（と同乗の女性スタッフとそのお子さん）も、子供のことを終始気にかけていただき、シュノーケリングの際には、最初は私か妻がボート上で子供の世話をし、順番にシュノーケリングしていたのですが、途中でキャプテンが「子供を見ていてあげるから二人で行っておいで」と言っていただき、妻と二人でシュノーケリングを楽しむことができ非常に助かりました。子供用のビート板状の浮き具（真ん中が透明になっていて海の中が見える）も出していただいたのですが、子供が海に入るのを嫌がり使いませんでした。小さいお子さんがおられる方でも、比較的心配なさらずに参加いただけると思います。

今回参加した際のアクティビティの内容です。
同乗の方はアメリカ人のご夫婦二組（40代くらい？）と私たちの計7名でした。
港を出発してまずは港近くのポイントでイルカの群れを見ました。数え切れないくらいのイルカを間近で見ることができこの時点で感動！です。その後、ボートを沖まで走らせ鯨の観察スポットまで移動します。ハワイ島の雄大な景色を横目に見ながらのラフティングは最高に気持いい！の一言。その後、5回ほどボートを走らせている途中で鯨の群れを発見して間近で観察しました。これには長男も「鯨さんの顔が見えた！」と感動していました。後ほど、現地の方に聞いたところでは今年は鯨の当たり年だそうです。そして、ボートを南へ走らせ、キャプテンクック碑のある湾へ移動してシュノーケリングです。ここは有名なシュノーケーリングスポットらしく、他にも何隻かシュノーケリングのボートがすでに停泊していました。かなりの種類の熱帯魚を間近で観察することが出来るので、シュノーケリングスポットになっているのも納得！です。ボート上でのランチは手作りのチキンサンドイッチとスナック、ジュースでした。サンドイッチは本当においしかったです（キャプテンに勧められるがまま２つも食べてしまいました）。スナックは子供が大喜びで、これのおかげかボート上で待っている間もグズることなく大人しく待っていてくれました。シュノーケリングの時間は1時間半くらいはあって大満足です。
その後、火山の活動と海の波が作り出した洞窟のように削られた雄大な岸壁をキャプテンの解説付きで巡りながら港まで戻ります。その間もボートを急旋回やジャンプさせたりして楽しませてくれました。

以下、参加した上での注意点です。
基本的に全ての会話は英語です。片言レベルでもこちらの要求を伝えることや、キャプテンとの意思疎通は出来るので、アクティビティへの参加という点では問題ありませんが、途中、イルカやクジラの生態の解説、キャプテンクックや岸壁（火神ペレのことだったと思う）の解説は全て英語ですので、片言レベルでは聞き取ることができませんでした。個人的には解説がなくても体験だけでも大満足でした。
あと、写真を撮るためには、防水対策をしたカメラが必須です。荷物はボートに乗り込む際にボート前方に纏めておくのですが、イルカや鯨を発見したときにすぐに取り出すことができません。同乗したご夫婦は、iPhoneを防水パックにいれて首からぶら下げておられ、また水中用のインスタントカメラを持参されておられました。我々も持参すれば良かった、と少し後悔しました。

この価格でこの内容は本当にコストパフォーマンスが高いと思います。

This is a 5-hour activity.
The day before, I received a notification that the meeting time would be 2 hours earlier than planned due to bad weather. It was helpful to get this notice, as sometimes there is no communication about time changes.
The activity involves going out to sea on an engine-powered rubber boat. The boat jumps over the waves, which adds quite a thrill and makes it enjoyable.
(Safety measures are in place, so there's no risk of falling into the sea.)
During this time of year, we encountered dolphins and whales, and the boat stopped each time we spotted them. We saw schools of dolphins multiple times and witnessed whale jumps as well. Since I was considering a dolphin and whale watching tour, I felt it was a great deal. We also got to see the Big Island from the sea and got close to the lava cliffs, with the guide providing information, making the trip to the snorkeling spot very satisfying.
The main part of the tour, snorkeling, took about 2 hours in a calm cove. The waves were gentle, and the water was clear, allowing us to see corals, tropical fish, and small turtles swimming. Just floating was pleasant, and they provided boards to help with floating. They also prepared sandwiches, fruits, snacks, and drinks, so if you get tired, you can take a break on the boat with some light refreshments.
The other participants in the tour were mostly international travelers, aside from my friend and me, but we had no issues and enjoyed ourselves. It seems that many Japanese tourists also participate, and the guide spoke to us in Japanese that he knew.
The weather was not very good, with the sun coming out and then clouding over, so sunscreen was not absolutely necessary, but I think sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are essential for the tour.
After the activity, we could enjoy delicious seafood at a restaurant near the harbor, which also increased our satisfaction.
It was a packed and enjoyable experience. I think this is a tour I can recommend.

約5時間のアクティビティです。
前日に天候が悪くなるということで予定よりも2時間ほど早い集合の連絡がありました。時間変更の連絡が無い場合もあるのに連絡を頂けたのは助かりました。
アクティビティは、エンジン付きのゴムボートに乗って海に出ます。波を越える際にボートがジャンプするので、かなりスリルがあり楽しめます。
（セイフティもきちんとしていますので、海に落とされるようなことはありません。）
時期的にイルカやクジラに遭遇し、その度に船を止めてくれました。イルカの群れも何度も見ましたし、クジラのジャンプも何度の目にすることができました。イルカやクジラをウォッチするツアーも検討していたので、すごくお得感を感じました。また海からのハワイ島も見ることができ、溶岩の岸壁にも近づいてくれガイドをしてくれますので、シュノーケリング場所へ行くまでも大満足です。
ツアーのメインであるシュノーケリングも、波の穏やかな入江で2時間ほどの時間を取ってもらえます。波が穏やかで水の透明度も良く、サンゴ、熱帯魚、小さな亀が泳いでいるのを見ることができます。浮いているだけでも気持ち良く、浮く為のボードなども貸してくれます。サンドウィッチ、フルーツ、スナック、ドリンクを用意してくれているので、疲れれば軽食と一緒にボートで休むこともできます。
ツアーの参加者は、友人と私以外は皆海外の方でしたが、問題なく楽しく過ごすことができます。日本人ツアーも多く参加しているようで、ガイドさんも知ってる日本語で話しかけてくれたりしました。
太陽が出たり、曇ったりと天候があまり良くなかったので日焼け止めを必須ではありませんでしたが、ツアーには日焼け止め、帽子、サングラスは必要だと思います。
アクティビティ後は、ハーバー周辺のレストランで美味しい魚介類も食べることができ、これも満足度をアップさせてくれます。
盛りだくさんで、楽しめました。お薦めできるツアーだと思います。
