Mike and Deanna were our guides this afternoon. They were quick but thorough in equipping everyone and explaining what to expect. The snorkeling was amazing. Though the wind picked up more than expected, they skillfully guided us back across the bay. Great experience that was enhanced by Mike's tales of the history of the bay.

Good excursion. Nice boat, pleasant staff, good refreshments and we saw whales!

The cost was $100, and at first, I thought it was a bit expensive, but $100 is about 11,000 yen. Considering that you get to see a live traditional luau and Hawaiian show up close, along with an all-you-can-eat meal and drinks, it’s quite reasonable. There were hardly any Japanese people around, and everyone spoke only English. I was a bit anxious, but it was fun, and by the end, I was shouting in Hawaiian along with the host. After the luau, I took pictures with the dancers on stage. I even got a tattoo stamp on my arm, just like the Hawaiians (it was water-based ink, so it came off quickly afterward). It was so much fun!

費用が100ドルで、最初はちょっと高いかなと思いましたが、100ドルって11,000円ですよね。生の伝統ルアウ＆ハワイアンショーを間近に見て、おいしい食事とドリンクは食べ放題、飲み放題だったら、充分リーズナブルでしょう。ほとんど日本人が居ない中で、廻りは英語のみ。不安に固まりでしたが、楽しくて、終わりには司会者の声に合わせてハワイ語の叫び声を上げていました。ルアウ後、舞台で踊ったダンサー達と写真を撮りました。腕にはハワイ人と同じ入れ墨をスタンプ（水性インクなので後ですぐに落ちました）してもらいました。楽しかったなー。

Did not see any whales but did see spinner dolphins. Got gift certificate to come back.

We went as a family of four with two girls, 10 and 8,neither of whom had ever snorkelled. (but both had kayaked). We did the afternoon tour and were really lucky to see the spinner dolphins on the way to and from the snorkeling. The ethos of the tour was amazing. Once spotted, we stopped paddling and let them come to us, no chasing, no interference and Deanna and her colleague (sorry, forgot his name), clearly care so much about the reef and local wildlife, very much respecting it and observing rather than chasing it down. Once on the reef they showed us local plants, and got all our goggles ready for snorkeling. As my kids hadn't snorkelled before they were botha bit scared, but Deanna was super helpful, and got in with them. Once they looked down they were off, and didn't want to come in. Snacks and drinks were provided, as was a history of the Captain Cook monument. Would highly highly recommend.... No guarantees you will get dolphins, but incredibly safe and clear snorkeling, best I have seen and clearly run by people who care most about maintaining the reef and wildlife for future generations.

I was guided to the front row with the use of a premium seat. However, to get a good seat even within that category, it's necessary to arrive early and line up, as the front row is guaranteed but the specific position is first come, first served.

The content of the show is a very typical Hawaiian show. I've seen many shows of this kind, but I think the quality of the dancers is quite high.

The unlimited cocktails and soft drinks are also a big plus. (Many places only offer the first drink for free.) Moreover, the staff is always attentive, making it easy to get refills, so for those who can drink, this is a significant advantage. (The quality of the table service may vary, though.)

プレミアムシート利用で最前列に案内された。が、そのカテゴリーの中でも良い席にしてもらうには、プレミアムでも早めに行って並んでおくことが必要。(前方は約束されているが、その中での位置は早い者勝ちなので)

ショーの内容はとてもとても一般的なハワイアンショー。この手のショーは何本も観てきたが、ダンサーのクオリティは高い方だと思う。

カクテル、ソフトドリンク飲み放題と言うのもポイントが高い。(無料は一杯目だけなんてのも多いので)
しかも係が常に目を配ってくれるので、お代わりもしやすいので、飲める人はポイントが高い。(テーブルの係の良し悪しもあるかもしれないが)

We are family of four and did two tandem kayaks, guides were great and friendly. Also very knowledgeable with safety first in mind. Loved the snorkeling part once got to our tie off spot. I would definitely recommend booking with these guys.

We attended the luau on March 29, 2017 and had a lovely time. It was a buffet style and you could make more than one trip to the table - and to the open bar until 7:00pm. The Mai tais, were delicious, punch bowl style and self serve. The food was good, not great, but there was a good variety. The entertainment was fun to watch, the dances from the different Polynesian Islands were interesting, especially the fire dancer! You can't go to Hawaii without a luau and this is a good one to check out.

Great Luau. VIP is definitley worth it. Great food and good drinks. Amazing show!

The two ace-level dancers, both male and female, are amazing.
However, the other members are at a level more like amateur baseball.

Well, as a show, it's entertaining.
The food is also quite good.

The food was delicious, but the variety of drinks was limited. My child seemed dissatisfied as they could only drink the same beverage. The cake was tasty at first, but after eating a lot, it caused some heartburn. I recommend it for those who can communicate in English, but it might be better to avoid it for those who don't understand English. The sunset over the ocean was beautiful. The atmosphere was fantastic!

料理は美味しかったけど、ドリンクの種類は少なめ。
同じドリンクしか飲めない状態で、子どもが不満だった様子。
ケーキは最初の一口は美味しいが、たくさん食べると胸焼けしました。
英語が通じる方にはオススメですが、英語がわからない方は
止めた方が良いかも。
海に沈む太陽がとても良かったです。雰囲気は最高！

There is no Japanese guide, but the staff did their best to explain in Japanese. When you see the whales, you completely forget about the language barrier. It was a wonderful experience.

日本語ガイドはないですが、スタッフの方が頑張って日本語でも説明してくれてました。
クジラを見れば、言葉のことなんて全く気にならないです。
素敵な体験をさせてもらいました。

In one group, there were a few Japanese people, and everything was explained in English. My daughter, who doesn't understand English at all, was initially confused and completely frozen. However, when the dolphin interaction time began, the language barrier didn't matter; she naturally started smiling and seemed to have a lot of fun. The photos were all great shots, and I ended up buying quite a few. It's not often you get to interact with dolphins, so I highly recommend it!

１つのグループに日本人は数名、説明も全て英語で全く英語がわからない娘は最初戸惑って、完全に固まっていました。しかしイルカとのふれあいタイムが始まると、言葉の壁もなんのその、自然と笑顔がこぼれ、とっても楽しかったようです。写真も良いショットばかりでついつい沢山購入してしまいました。イルカと触れ合うなんてなかなか体験できない！のでお勧めです。

This dinner cruise was awesome! The crew were most helpful and friendly, the food was delicious, the guide was beautiful and very informative, the boat has little tables for your plate and cup holders for your drinks which is all most convenient, and Captain Rick made it super fun. We recommend it to everyone who asks us what to do in Hawaii. Thank you all for the great night. See you next year!

Thank you for the best hour. When I received the contact for the helicopter arrangement the day before, I was pedaling hard on my bike to get to Ocean Entry and didn't notice it. I confirmed via email and was able to secure a reservation for the much-anticipated doorless helicopter. On the day, the explanation was in English by a foreign pilot, and even though I didn't understand everything, I was able to see the flow of lava, the road I biked yesterday, and the sky above Ocean Entry. It was my first time riding in a helicopter, and I thought that riding in a doorless helicopter right next to me might not happen again unless I come back here. I appreciate this valuable experience. Please let me consult with you when planning my next options. Thank you.

前日にヘリの手配で連絡が来た時はオーシャンエントリーへ行くため一生懸命自転車をこいでいて気づきませんでした。メールにて確認も取れ念願のドアなしヘリでの予約も取れました。当日は外人パイロットでの英語説明でしたがわからないなりに聞き溶岩の流れ・昨日自転車をこいだ道・オーシャンエントリーの空の上から見る事ができました。ヘリに乗るのも初めてでしたが、すぐ横にあるドアのないヘリに乗るのも今後ここに来るほかは無いかと思いました。貴重な体験感謝です。次回オプションを計画する時には相談させてください。ありがとうございました。

The crew were all very helpful and friendly. It was a great experience.

I participated with my 2-year-old child. The instructor skillfully guided us to capture the child's interest. At first, my child was scared, but as they got used to it, they were able to feed the fish. The time spent interacting with the dolphins was longer than I expected (this might be because there were only two groups, including us, at that time), and for this price, both my child and I were satisfied. However, I think the photos are expensive (around 2000 yen each). If they were a bit cheaper (even if they were still around 2000 yen), I would have wanted to purchase multiple photos.

2歳の子どもと一緒に参加しました。子どもが興味を引くように、インストラクターの人は上手に誘導してくれました。我が子は、初めは怖がっていましたが、慣れてくると、魚をあげることもできました。イルカと触れ合う時間は、思ったより長く（その時の参加者は、私たち含めて2組だけだったという事もあるかもしれませんが）、親子二人でこの価格なら満足です。ただ、写真は高い（一枚2000円くらい）と思います。もう少し安ければ（同じ2000円くらいになったとしても）複数枚購入したかったです。

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The crew and marine naturalist were great. We were fortunate enough to see a lot of activity. Would definitely recommend.

We went to the Legends of Hawaii Luau at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the big island of Hawaii on February 21st, 2017, and we had a great time.

We were not part of a tour, nor were we staying at the Hilton, so we went with Ali'i VIP seating that included valet parking, table side desserts/appetizer/drinks, faster access to the food, and closer seating over the normal tickets. I think it was worth the extra $30 for the VIP seating.

We were right in the front row, and had excellent seats. The show itself was great. In particular, we loved the fire dancers.

Before the show, we could see part of the sunset in the sky with the palm trees.

The only negative was before the show. Both me and my wife can only stand for a limited amount of time. After you check in and get the picture taken, it was something like a 1/2 hour wait until the doors opened. In the queue after the check-in, there was no seating. There was some (but not much) seating before the check-in.

We saw several manta rays and they were amazing! Some came up to the surface and could be seen from the boat. Captain Morgan and Troy were awesome! They were funny, personable and told some great stories. While in the water, Troy and Cory were always making sure everyone was doing okay. I would definitely recommend this excursion with Sea Paradise and this crew.

As everyone has mentioned, Daisuke's personality and thoughtfulness as our guide were wonderful, and I felt safe participating. Just a few minutes after setting sail, dolphins appeared, and we were able to swim with them at a distance that felt almost within reach. It seemed like a very lucky occurrence.

I was worried about seasickness, but I took some motion sickness medication and it turned out fine (I took Aneron, but since I was concerned, I took it early and ended up feeling too drowsy and dizzy. I regained my composure once on the boat, but it might be better to take it about 30 minutes before departure).

Above all, I was grateful that Daisuke kept encouraging us with a smile, saying things like, "Relax! Just think of yourself as a dolphin!" We were fine, but he was very considerate of those who might struggle with swimming, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the experience.

The mother and baby dolphins were truly adorable, and the waters around the Big Island were incredibly beautiful, leaving me very satisfied!

Although it’s unrelated to the tour, I was worried that my hair and skin would feel sticky from the seawater after swimming, but I was completely fine with just letting it air dry (it was nice and smooth). I stayed at the Mauna Lani Resort, but instead of returning to the hotel, I was able to efficiently use my time by visiting several coffee farms with my rental car for sightseeing before heading back.

皆さん書いているように、引率してくれるダイスケさんの人柄と気遣いがとてもよく、安心して参加できました。
出航してから数分でイルカが現れ、すぐに手が届きそうな程の距離でイルカ達と泳ぐことができました。これはとてもラッキーなことだったようです。
船酔いが心配でしたが、酔い止めを飲んでいったら大丈夫でした（アネロンを飲みましたが、心配だっだので早めに飲んだら逆に眠くなりすぎてふらふらに。船に乗ったら正気に戻りましたけど、出発30分前くらいがいいのかもしれません）。
何よりもダイスケさんが「リラックスして！自分はイルカだと思ってね！」等と笑顔で何度も声をかけてくれたのがありがたかった。私達は大丈夫だったけど、泳ぐのが苦手な人にもものすごく気を遣っていて、みんなが楽しめるように配慮してくれていました。
イルカの親子は本当にかわいかったし、ハワイ島の海も本当にきれいで大満足でした！

ツアーとは関係ありませんが、泳いだ後髪や肌が海水でベタベタになるのではと不安でしたが、そのまま自然乾燥で全然大丈夫でした（サラサラでしたよ）。マウナラニリゾート滞在だったのですが宿には戻らず、レンタカーでそのままコーヒー農園等をいくつか回って観光して帰ることができ、時間を効率的に使うことができたと思います。

I signed up for several tours on the Big Island, but I was looking for something that would be convenient, and that's how I found this sea kayaking tour. It was easy to participate on foot, and after getting into the water, I could return directly to my room. I had no experience with kayaking and didn't expect to get seasick, but I was still moved to see dolphins, mantas, and schools of fish (there were hundreds of fish swimming together, looking like a rock). Kevin's Japanese was great. He also sent the photos from the sea via email later, which became a wonderful memory.

ハワイ島でいくつかのツアーに申し込みをしましたが、できればホテルかいいと思って探したのがこのシーカヤックツアーでした。 徒歩で参加し、海に入った後も部屋までそのまま帰れたのは楽でした。 カヤック未経験で、まさか船酔いするとは思ってなかったのですが、それでもイルカ、マンタ、魚玉（何百匹もの魚が固まって泳いでいてまるで岩のような感じでした）を見ることができて感動もしました。 ケビンさんの日本語上手でしたね。 海での写真も後からメールで送ってくださって、いい思い出になりました。

On the day we arrived at the Big Island, we joined a tour.

It took just under an hour from the hotel to reach the boat dock. After borrowing wetsuits and changing, we set off.

While on the boat heading to the point, it was sunset time. The sunset viewed from the boat was exceptional.

As for the mantas, they started to appear as the sun set and it got darker. They swam right up close to my stomach and face.

They make a full circle to eat plankton, so you can see both above and below the mantas.

I heard that you can hardly see mantas on Oahu. Definitely try to encounter mantas on the Big Island.

As for swimming, it was easy since I was just holding onto the grip bar. They also provided a bar to rest my feet on, which made it even more comfortable.

Also, it gets quite cold on the way back. Once you return to the boat, it's best to take off the wetsuit right away and wrap yourself in a large bath towel or put on a T-shirt.

The boat moves at a pretty fast speed on the way back, so it gets colder than on the way out.

ハワイ島についた日にツアーに参加しました。

ホテルから１時間弱で、ボート乗り場に到着。
ウエットスーツを借りて着替えてから、出発です。

船に乗って、ポイントに向かう途中でサンセットの時間になりました。
船から見るサンセットは格別でした。

そして、マンタは　というと、陽が沈み暗くなるにつれマンタがやってきました。
自分のお腹や顔スレスレのところまでやってきて泳いでくれました。

プランクトンを食べるために、ぐるっと一周するので、マンタの上も下も眺めることができます。

オアフ島では、ほとんどマンタは見れないそうです。
ぜひ、ハワイ島でマンタに出会ってださい。

泳ぎの方ですが、握りバーにつかまっているだけなので、楽ちんです。
途中で、足を乗せるバーも用意してくれたので、さらに楽ちんでした。

あと、帰りは結構寒くなります。
船に戻ったらすぐウェットスーツを脱いで、
大きなバスタオルにくるまったり、Tシャツを着た方が良いです。

帰りもすごいスピードで船は動きますので、行きよりも寒くなります。

We attended the Royal Kona Luau twice during our month in Hawaii. Both times were very enjoyable. All of the food is excellent, and the show is very entertaining. I am sure we will do this activity again, the next time we visit the island.

We come to this Luau every year! We have a timeshare so this year was our 7th time to the big island and the 4th time to this show. We tried shows in other places but came back to this one because the food is the best, the setting is right on the water, and the show is most entertaining. Everyone makes it fun from the host who takes tickets and encourages a lei purchase, the photographer, the announcer for the show, the musicians, the artists who go through many costume changes and the wait staff. We recommend this show to anyone who asks. Thank you all for your committed and talented time. See you next year!

I participated with my three children. I was looking forward to the sunset this time, but it was disappointing that it was hidden by clouds. It was nice that we could wait on the boat until the manta ray came near the board. After entering the water, the manta rays didn't come close for a while, and I thought we might not see any, but then one manta ray came right in front of us and circled around 4 or 5 times. The kids were really impressed. However, if I could wish for more, I would have liked to see more. Also, on the way back, I was in a hurry to use the restroom and couldn't properly greet the Japanese female staff member who helped us. I apologize for that. Thank you for your assistance.

子供達と3人で参加させて頂きました。
今回サンセットも楽しみだったのですが、雲に隠れてしまい残念でした。ボードの近くにマンタが来てから海に入るように言われてたので、船で待っていられるのは良かったです。
海に入ってからもなかなか近くには来てくれなくて、もうダメかなと思ってたところに一枚のマンタが本当に目の前に来て4,5回グルグル回ってくれました。
子供達も感激してました。でも欲を言えばもっと見たかったですね。
それと、帰りにトイレに急いでた為にお世話になった日本人の女性スタッフの方にきちんとご挨拶できませんでした。申し訳ありません。お世話になりました。

I was truly moved. I was scared to go to places where my feet couldn't touch the ground, but thanks to Daisuke's assistance, I didn't feel scared at all. Thank you so much.

As soon as I got back, I had to work, and I caught a cold, so it feels like my trip to Hawaii was just a dream. But every day, I think about how Daisuke is still swimming with the dolphins.

本当に感激しました。足がつかないところに行くのは怖かったんですが、ダイスケさんのアシストのおかげで、全然怖さも感じませんでした。本当にありがとうございました。

As I approach my 70th birthday, I am very happy to have had a precious experience for the first time in my life during the remaining years. I was deeply moved to be able to venture out into the Pacific Ocean, even if just for a moment, from Keauhou Bay.
