Even when looking at guidebooks and everyone's reviews, it was recommended that if you go to Hawaii, you should see the Luau show, and I was a bit skeptical about how good it really was.

The result was a huge success!!
While waiting for the show to start, I participated in interactive events and enjoyed some cocktails.
After that, I had a buffet meal and watched the show.
Not only was there hula, but also Tahitian dance and a fire show, making it a rich and enjoyable experience.

ガイドブックを見ても、みんなの口コミを見ても、ハワイに行ったら、ルアルショーがお勧めと書かれてあり、そんなに良いのかなぁ？？と半信半疑で、申し込みました。

　結果は、大正解！！
ショーが始まるまでの間は、参加型のイベントに参加したり、カクテルを飲んだりして時間を過ごしました。
その後、バイキングの食事を食べ、ショーを見ました。
　フラだけでなく、タヒチのダンスやファイアーショーもあり内容が充実していて、楽しめました。

I was able to see dolphins. I was a bit worried because it seemed that some people couldn't see them, but during my visit, perhaps due to the timing, I was able to see dolphins swimming from the hotel balcony in the morning, so I wasn't too concerned. By the way, it was around mid-May, during the new moon phase (which may not be related).

As soon as we set sail, we saw dolphins up close, and I was really excited. I regretted not taking pictures because I thought we would be snorkeling there. We ended up snorkeling at another location, which had beautiful coral reefs. They provided masks and fins, and just floating in the sea was very soothing and enjoyable. There were always meals and drinks available, and the shower and restroom were clean, so I thought it was a nice experience. It felt more like a relaxing playtime.

I also did diving as an option. I didn't understand the language, but they properly informed us about the dive sites and guided us, so I had a lot of fun. However, once you start diving, the free time (if you can call it that) becomes limited. I thought it would be amazing if we could dive in the area where the dolphins are.

イルカ見れました。書き込みには、見れなかった人もいたようなので、ちょっと心配でしたが、私の時は、時期がよっかったのか、ホテルのベランダからも朝はイルカが泳いでいるのがみれていたので、心配がなたったです。ちなみに５月半ばの、（関係ないかもだけど、）新月位の時でした。
　出航してすぐイルカがみれ、まじかでしたので、ちょう興奮しました。そこでスノーケルかと思い写真をとらなかったのが、残念でした。スノーケルは、他の場所で、そこは珊瑚のきれいな海です。マスクとフィンを貸してくれて、海に浮いているだけでもとても癒されよかったです。食事も飲み物もつねにあるし、シャワーもついてるし、トイレもキレイなので、いい感じだと思います。どちらかというと、のんびり遊ぶ（癒しな）感じだと思います。
　オプションでダイビングもしました。言葉は解りませんが、ちゃんとポイント名も教えてくれて、ガイドもしてくれたので、結構楽しめました。　ただ、ダイビングをしてしまうと、自由時間（？）が少なくなってしまいます。せっかくなら、イルカがいるところで、ダイビングできたら最高なのにな、と思いました。

I participated in a cruise that departed at 9 AM.

On the day of the cruise, we were the only Japanese people, and the rest were foreigners. All the explanations were in English, but I didn't have any particular difficulties. On the way there and back, we encountered dolphins. We were able to stop the boat and enjoy watching the dolphins until they left. Unfortunately, the dolphins weren't at the snorkeling point, so we couldn't swim with them, but the rental snorkeling gear was very clean, and the boat had a slide that the kids could enjoy (the adults were sliding down too). They provided anti-fog spray for the snorkeling masks and tubes as substitutes for floatation devices, which made for a very comfortable experience. The snorkeling point was in shallow waters with not much wave action, and there were plenty of fish, so even kids could have fun.

There was someone celebrating a birthday that day, and we all sang a birthday song at the end. It was a fun tour.

朝9時出港のクルーズに参加しました。

当日は日本人は私たちだけであとは外人さんたちでした。
説明はすべて英語ですが　特に苦労はしませんでした。
行く途中と帰りにイルカに遭遇。
船をとめて　イルカが去るまでゆっくり堪能できました。
残念ながら　イルカがシュノーケルポイントに居なかったので一緒に泳ぐことはできなかったのですが
レンタルのシュノーケルもとても綺麗だし、船には滑り台がついていて子供も楽しめます（大人もみんな滑ってます）
シュノーケルの際のマスクの曇り止めや浮き環の代わりのチューブなどが準備されていて　とても快適に過ごせます。
シュノーケルポイントも波があまりない浅瀬で、魚もたくさんいるので　子供でも楽しめます。

当日は誕生日の方がいて　皆で最後にバースデーソングを歌ったり。　楽しいツアーでした。

Aloha! We attended Island Breeze Luau, and we had a great time! This was our first Luau, and our 12 and 16 year old was with us. They had a great representation of Hawaiin Foods, as well as American foods for those who didnt want the full experience. The entertainment was great, and it was obvious that they loved their work. The passion for thier culture, and familys was beautifully done. By the time you left, you felt like you were part of their Ohana. The only thing I may suggest is to have more fresh fruits for those on a limited diet and more flower leis for sale, as they ran out the first 25 customers. I would give it a 4 1/2 stars.

There is no Japanese announcement, so it can be a bit confusing if you can't understand English, but I think it was very good that they showed us a paper with guidance in Japanese.

日本語のアナウンスがないので、英語を聞き取れないと少し戸惑いますが、日本語のガイダンスの紙を見せてくれたので
それがとてもよかったと思います。

This is a great activity except if you're prone to motion-sickness then it is not for you. Two hours was way too long for us. I was doing well in the first hour when we were shown the volcanoes and mountains but in the second hour I could not keep my eyes open due to my motion sickness. And that sucked because in the second hour is when he shows you the beautiful valleys and waterfalls! Thank God my husband was able to record it for me but it still wasn't the same. I would recommend a 45-minute-1 hour tour but not the 2 hour tour.

The staff was great and tour was better than expected. We saw lots of turtles.

To start off with when we were making reservations transportation aparently wasn't available. Don't let them tell you that. They have vans and make pick-ups from the hotel we stayed in. We took the big island spectacular 2 hour. It was nice. The volcano part wasn't what i thought. I expected to see flowing lava. All you see is the top crust of past lava flows. Even the volcano vent wasn't what I thought it would be. The VOG was so thick thast about all you could see. A little let down. Although the 2nd part was the tropical rain forest. We had a nice ride along the ocean front. Went up the valleys and saw more waterfalls than I could keep track of. Pilot even sighted some whales and circled for us. Wind turbulance in some of the valleys made me tighten my seat belt a bit. Later I learned the pilot is a retired coast guard pilot. Wish I knew that going in, I would have been a bit more relaxed.

I can't say enough good about this Luau. The food was good, the show was great. It was just a wonderful time.

We participated with our elementary school child, making three of us.
Snorkeling in a beautiful cove.
The kids were thrilled to jump into the sea from a slide on the boat.
For lunch, they grilled hamburgers right there, and we got to make our own burgers.
Freshly grilled was definitely delicious.
Since we could only play for a little over two hours, I wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

小学生の子供を連れて3人で参加しました。
きれいな入り江でのシュノーケル。
船から滑り台で海に飛び込めたりするので、子供は大喜びでした。
ランチは、その場でハンバーグをジュ―ジュ―焼いて、ハンバーガーを作ってくれます。
焼きたてはやっぱり美味しかったです。
時間的に2時間ちょっとしか遊べないので、もう少し長く滞在出来たら良かったと思います。

Even someone like me, who isn't very good at English conversation, was able to enjoy it fully. I recommend arriving a little early and lining up in front of the entrance, as you can get a good spot closer to the front. The food is also plentiful. Towards the end, the sea breeze can feel quite cold, so it's a good idea to bring a jacket. I think couples should not be shy and dance together. On the first night after arriving in Hawaii, you might feel sleepy at first, but your energy will quickly rise, so I recommend seeing it in the first half.

あまり英会話が出来ない私でも、充分楽しむことが出来ました。少し早めに行き、入口前で並ぶと、結構、前の方で見れるのでお薦めいたします。料理も充実しています。最後の方は、海風が冷たく感じてくるので、上着を持参するといいですよ。ぜひカップルの方は恥ずかしがらずに、一緒踊るといいと思いますよ。ハワイ島着いた初日の夜は眠いかと思いまずか、一気にテンション上がるから、前半に見る事をお薦め致します。

I flew from Honolulu to Hilo early for trip which was scheduled for 8:30 AM. We were delayed starting by about one hour for other guests who took a later flight. My main reason for this tour was to see the volcano. Because of air quality, the observation area was closed. Because of cloud cover, we could not see the top of the volcano. We were able to visit the National Park Visitors Center which was worthwhile.

The tour guide was just fair. We visited several commercial sites.
He tried to make up for the closing of the observation area by stopping at other volcanoes in the park & a lava tube.

Since we didn't have a rental car, we participated in this tour with transportation included. It took about 45 minutes to get from our hotel to the meeting point, and we were dropped off just before the port, so we needed to walk to the Body Glove boat. The crew was at the reception, and you can check in by saying your name. As mentioned in other posts, the crew does not understand Japanese at all. I also speak very little English, but they provide a Japanese sheet with important information and emergency signals, so it's okay if you don't understand the English explanations. Since I have poor eyesight, they lent me prescription snorkeling goggles. I didn't understand everything in English, but since I participated in January, it was whale watching season, not dolphin watching. It was a great deal because you could snorkel and see whales. Although the sea was calm, it was still open ocean, so those prone to seasickness should take precautions. They do provide emergency assistance, but I think you need to be capable of managing your own snorkeling. Regarding transportation, the pickup was over an hour after the cruise ended, so I think it's fine to explore the nearby shops. I believe this is an activity that offers a unique experience that can only be enjoyed on the Big Island.

当方レンタカーがなかった為送迎つきのこちらに参加いたしました。
滞在ホテルより集合場所までは４５分くらい、港の手前で下ろされるため、ボディーグローブ号まで歩いていく必要はあります。クルーが受付をしているので名前を言えばチェックインできます。投稿にあるとおりクルーに日本語はまったく通じません。当方も英語はほとんどしゃべれませんが、注意事項、危険時の合図などは日本語のシートを出してくれるので英語の説明がわからなくても大丈夫です。目が悪いのでめがねをかけていたら度つきの水中グラスも貸してくれました。また英語のためわからなかったのですが当方の参加した一月は鯨が来るシーズンのためイルカではなくホエールウオッチングでした。シュノーケリングもでき鯨も見れることでお得ではありました。穏やかとはいえ外洋なので波はあるので船酔いするかたは対策が必要です。また緊急時の対応はしてくれますが自己管理でシュノーケリングできる能力は必要とみます。送迎のほうですが迎えはクルージング終了後一時間以上もあったので周辺のお店を散策してもいいと思います。ビッグアイランドでしか味わえない体験ができるアクテビティだと思います。

We participated as a family this time. It was fun to feel like we were at an outdoor party. The show started with a traditional Hawaiian ceremony, and then the performance began on stage. Although we didn't have the best seats because a special group was celebrating a birthday, it was really nice to watch a traditional show in a tropical party atmosphere. Unfortunately, we had to wait in line to get drinks, which took some time, and the buffet-style meal had a set order for each table, making it difficult to eat, and there were few options, which was a bit disappointing for dinner. Next to us was a foreign family, but it seemed like they were seating Japanese guests close together. I think this dinner show is recommended for friends and families to enjoy the atmosphere and traditional performance while having fun together.

今回家族で参加しました。
野外パーティーに参加している雰囲気で楽しかったです。
ショーはハワイの伝統的な儀式から始まり、ステージでショーが始まりました。
誕生日を祝う特別なグループが参加していたため、ベストの席ではなかったけれど、
南国のパーティー気分の中で伝統的なショーを見るのはとてもよかったです。
残念ながら、飲み物をもらうのに並ばなくてはいけなくて、時間がかかったり、
ビュッフェスタイルの食事も、テーブルごとに順番があってなかなか食べられず、種類も少なく
ディナーとしては少々期待ハズレでした。
私たちの隣は、外国人ファミリーでしたが、日本人同士を近い席にしてくれている様子でした。
このディナーショーは友人同士や家族でワイワイ楽しみながら雰囲気と伝統的なショーを楽しむのがお勧めだと思います。

The staff provided a detailed explanation of the history of Hawaii Island in English, which was a great opportunity for my wife, who is currently learning English, to hear native speech. However, I was disappointed that I could hardly understand it. The Hawaiian cocktail "Mai Tai" served on board was fruity and had a pleasant taste.

I was very satisfied to be able to listen to live performances by musicians after purchasing a ukulele, as I had become fascinated with it. The pleasant breeze matched perfectly with the Hawaiian atmosphere.

The dinner included many local Hawaiian dishes and was delicious, but I felt that the variety was limited for the price. As the sun sets, the temperature drops significantly, so I recommend bringing a long-sleeved shirt.

　スタッフが英語でハワイ島の歴史を詳しく説明してくれ、英語学習中の家内にとっては、ネイティブの英語を聞く良い機会でした。しかし、私はほとんど聞き取れず残念でした。船内で振る舞われるハワイアンカクテル「マイタイ」は、フルーティで口当たりが良かったです。　
　私は、ウクレレに夢中でハワイのウクレレを購入してからツアーに参加しましたが、ミュージシャンの生の演奏を聴くことができて、とても満足でした。心地よい風にハワイアンがぴったりあっていました。
　ディナーの料理はハワイの郷土料理なども多くておいしかったのですが、値段の割には品数が少なかったと感じました。
　日が沈む頃になると随分気温が下がります。長袖を持って行かれることをお勧めします。

...about to this cruise. My children and I utterly loved this tour and I just want to thank the unforgettable crew members who made this trip a highlight of our vacation. From the moment we stepped onto the boat until we stepped off, it was an absolute pleasure.

Hearing my children's sounds of joy when they saw their first whale breach from the water is something that I will remember always.

TOTALLY AMAZING! When my friends and I saw this tour we were like, "Hmmm, whale watching? Sure why not!" and I am so glad that we decided to go. The boat was great, the view was priceless and seeing humpback whales jumping and slapping the water is something that I will never forget...ever. Like what a great memory to bring back home with me. Take this tour! You won't regret it!

Wish we brought the kids, they would have had a blast!! In any case it was our first time to the Big Island and this was a super good time. I'm guessing it's the same crew, but the afternoon sail crew was just lovely. Highly Recommended!!!

We had a great time on the Big Island tour today. The flight was
awesome. The pilot, Koji, did a terrific job. He made sure folks on
both sides of the helicopter saw the sights-Pu'u O'o, lava flowing
into the ocean, waterfalls, etc. It was our first time in a helicopter
and it was a great experience.

The reservationists were patient and informative. The folks at the
terminal were helpful, supportive and very upbeat-they truly seemed
excited for us.

We will be sure to spread the good word about your outfit.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. The staff and crew were great, and the food was very good. Had a wonderful time! would do it again!

I participated with a friend on November 5, 2009. Due to the season, the weather was cloudy with occasional sunshine, so it wasn't the clear sea as shown on the website. Moreover, it was quite cold! However, the Fair Wind boat was equipped with slides, diving boards, snorkeling gear, and various items, allowing us to enjoy ourselves the whole time! The lunch BBQ was delicious too! It takes about two hours round trip to get to the snorkeling points, but we had about two hours for snorkeling, which was quite satisfying.

2009/11/5に友人と参加しました。季節がら天気は曇り時々晴れだったので、ＨＰにあるようなクリアな海ではありませんでした。しかも、結構寒かった！でもフェアウィンド号は、滑り台や飛び込み台、シュノーケルや様々なアイテムを搭載していて、終始楽しむことができました！ランチＢＢＱも美味しかったですよ！ポイントへの移動に往復で２時間とられますが、シュノーケル時間は約２時間とれて、十分満足できました。

When I saw the luau show, there were many foreign guests, and the venue was incredibly lively. The performance entertained the audience, and it was clear that the performers were enjoying themselves while dancing and singing. It was truly a wonderful show, and I would love to see it again.

私がルアウショーを見たときは、外国人の
お客さんが多く、会場はすごい盛り上がりでした。
観客を楽しませてくれるパフォーマンスで、

Luau is often featured in guidebooks about Hawaii, so I had been curious about it for a while, and this time I finally got to see a luau. It was even better than I expected; the dancing and singing were excellent and simply wonderful. We had our children with us, and it was a show that the whole family could enjoy. I highly recommend it for family trips.

On the last day of my trip to Hawaii, I wanted to participate in an activity that was quintessentially Hawaiian, so I decided to see a luau show. Through this show, I was able to learn about Hawaiian culture and thoroughly enjoy authentic hula dancing, which was wonderful. The food consisted of Hawaiian dishes that I had never tried before, and I was very intrigued. I'm glad I was able to spend my last day in Hawaii so enjoyably.

参加したいと思い、ルアウショーを見ることにしました。
このショーを通して、ハワイの文化を知ることができ、
本場のフラダンスも堪能できとても良かったです。

It was a very enjoyable show, and I really felt it was worth seeing. I was able to fully experience Hawaii, and I could say it was the highlight of my trip to Hawaii. If you're going to Hawaii, definitely check out a luau show!

At first, I didn't know what a luau show was, but I went to see one at the recommendation of a friend I traveled to Hawaii with. The fire dance was impressive, but I found the hula dance to be very memorable. The synchronized movements and the graceful dancing were wonderful. I still vividly remember it. The meal was a buffet and delicious, but it was so filling that I ended up eating a bit too much... Next time, I would like to see a luau at another hotel.

最初は、ルアウショーというものを知らなくて、
一緒にハワイ旅行に行った友達のすすめで、
ショーを見てきました。
ファイヤーダンスも迫力があって良かったのですが、
私はフラダンスがとても印象的でした。
みんなの動きが揃っていて、しなやかに踊る姿は
素晴らしかったです。今でも鮮明に思い出します。
食事は、ビュッフェ形式で美味しかったのですが、
ボリューム満点で少し食べ過ぎてしまいました・・・
次回は、他のホテルで行われているルアウも見てみたいです。

The weather on the day was wonderful, and the venue for the luau show was packed with people. Since it’s a popular show, I was glad I made a reservation in advance. The venue offered a beautiful sunset view, and the breeze from the beach was pleasant, making it an ideal setting to watch the luau show. The show was a continuous series of surprises and emotions with the dances and performances! It was truly a wonderful show that will remain a cherished memory for a lifetime.

当日天候にも恵まれ、ルアウショーの会場は
人でいっぱいでした。人気のショーなので事前に
予約していって良かったです。
会場はきれいな夕焼けが見え、浜辺の風も心地よく、
ルアウショーを見るのに最適な環境だと思いました。

As expected from a popular entertainment option in Hawaii, I was moved by a truly wonderful show that did not disappoint. The highlight, of course, was the fire dance! It was very exciting, and I was overwhelmed by its intensity. It was also great to learn about Polynesian culture while watching the show. Additionally, the food was Hawaiian cuisine, and everything was quite delicious and very filling. I absolutely recommend this show to anyone going to Hawaii.

さすがハワイの人気エンターティメントだけあって、
期待を裏切らないとても素晴らしいショーで感動しました。
やはり一番のみどころは、ファイヤーダンス！とても
エキサイティングで、その迫力に圧倒されました。
ショーを見ながらポリネシア文化を知れたのも良かったです。
あと、食事もハワイアン料理でどれも結構美味しくて、
ボリューム満点でした。
ハワイに行く方に絶対おススメのショーです。

I'm really glad I saw this luau show! The performance, the food, and the atmosphere of the venue were all great, and my whole family was very satisfied. I definitely want to see it again the next time I visit Hawaii.
