This was our second time on the Big Island with my husband. Last time, it was winter, so it was a bit chilly, and we couldn't go into the ocean. This time, we wanted to fully enjoy the sea, so we participated in snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay, known for its stunning clarity, which is not easily accessible by car.

There was no hotel shuttle, and we had to meet at Honokohau Marina, so I think those without a car should be cautious. We had rented a car for the entire day, so it wasn't an issue for us. The instructions and explanations were all in English, but we received a printed guide in Japanese, so that was not a problem either.

I was surprised by how fast the boat was as we departed, and along the way, we saw a pod of dolphins and a school of flying fish, which was an emotional experience to see up close. The explanations about the lava caves were all in English, so I couldn't understand them, but I was able to feel enough from the printed guide and what I could see.

Furthermore, at Kealakekua Bay, I was amazed by the clarity of the water and the size of the fish. Both my husband and I were captivated, watching the fish. After returning from snorkeling, there was actually a fish book on the boat, and we were excited to find the fish we had just seen up close, exclaiming, "There it is! I saw that!!!"

We also enjoyed lunch, which included sandwiches, drinks, snacks, and fruit, and eating on the boat was exceptionally delicious.

I was moved by everything! I would love to use this service again when we visit the Big Island.

今回旦那と二人で、ハワイ島二回目で、前回は季節が冬だったので肌寒く、海に入れませんでした。
その為今回は、海を満喫しようと思い、車ではなかなか行けず、感動する透明度と名高い、ケアラケクア湾シュノーケルに参加しました。
ホテルからの送迎がなく、ホノコハウ・マリーナ集合の為、車がない方は注意が必要かと思います。
私たちは終日レンタカーを借りていたので、問題なかったです。
また終始英語での注意事項・説明でしたが、日本語のプリントを頂いたので、そこも問題なかったです。
出発して思ってたより速いボートに驚きながらも途中イルカの群れや、トビウオの群れがいて、間近で見ることが出来て感動しました。
溶岩洞窟についての説明は全て英語だったので、理解できませんでしたが、頂いたプリントと目視で充分感じることができました。
更にケアラケクア湾では、海の透明度と魚の大きさに驚きました。
私も旦那も夢中になって、魚を観賞しました。
またシュノーケリングから戻った後も実際にボートに魚の本があり、先ほど間近で見た魚を見つけることが出来て「これいたね！これ見た見た！！！」と興奮。
ランチもサンドイッチとドリンクとスナックとフルーツを頂き、ボートの上で食べるのもまた格別に美味しかったです。

全てに感動しました！またハワイ島に行った際には利用したいです。

I had a wonderful experience. Moreover, they mentioned a campaign where you can download photos from their website, so when I checked after returning home, I found stunning pictures of the starry sky. I couldn't have captured that with my own camera. I was really happy. The discussion about the stars was very informative and educational. Since the altitude is high, some people felt unwell, but I think it's a view everyone should see at least once in their lifetime!

The tour we booked had only our group of Japanese participants. The rest were all from Europe and America. The guide spoke English, but also communicated a few words in Japanese. My husband, who was riding a horse for the first time, was initially scared but gradually got used to it and enjoyed himself. We crossed a river up to our knees on horseback, which is an experience you definitely can't have in Japan. 2.5 hours was just enough. However, there were safety instructions in Japanese at the waiting area after the horseback riding, so I thought it would have been more reassuring if they had explained that to us since we don't speak English.

I experienced a two-hour course starting at 2 PM. The first hour was kayaking, followed by 30 minutes of snorkeling and 30 minutes of paddleboarding. Kayaking requires a lot of strength and can be surprisingly tiring, so I was quite satisfied with just one hour. Once you head out to sea, it can get quite bumpy, so I recommend taking motion sickness medication if you're not confident. Since it was just the two of us that day, we were able to go at a leisurely pace, which was very enjoyable. I think it's a great course that allows you to experience a variety of activities in just two hours.

My wife and I participated together. I had visited Oahu three times before, but it was my first time on the Big Island. The main purpose of my first trip to the Big Island was this tour of the "Mauna Kea Summit Sunset." I was worried about altitude sickness, but the guide explained how to avoid it while we were in the car, so there were no issues. However, I did get a bit out of breath when moving around at the summit, but the breathtaking starry sky, unlike anything I had ever seen before, made me forget my breathlessness. I was able to see the Milky Way and learned for the first time that starlight illuminates the ground. This is a tour I would love to join again if I have the opportunity to go to the Big Island.

Something we really liked about this luau compared to one we attended on Maui is that this is a much smaller crowd which was very conducive when refilling beverages and getting your food at the buffet.

I used this for my honeymoon in late October. Unfortunately, it was cloudy on the day, and we couldn't see the sunset very well... There were also hardly any stars visible. After waiting anxiously for 30 minutes... suddenly the clouds cleared, and an astonishing starry sky spread out before us! There was also a funny incident where our guide got caught speeding by the police, but he was released with the amusing condition of writing a reflection letter^^;

It seems there are observation tours around the Onizuka Center, but this tour takes you higher up for observation, so the stars feel closer and more impressive! We also had plenty of time.

I highly recommend it.

10月下旬にハネムーンで利用しました。
当日はあいにくの雲で、サンセットはあまりきれいに見れず・・・
星もほとんど見えない状態でした。
不安な気持ちで待つこと３０分・・・突然雲が晴れてきて驚くような星空が目の前に広がりました！
ガイドさんが慌てていたのか、途中で速度違反で警察に捕まるというハプニングもありましたが、反省文を書けばＯＫという面白い条件で解放されました^^;

オニヅカセンターあたりで観測するツアーもあるようですが、このツアーはそれより上で観測させてくれるので、星空が近くて迫力あります！
時間もたっぷりありました。

I read in reviews that there would be a long line, so I arrived more than 30 minutes early, but there was already quite a queue. I was a bit worried because it was drizzling, but by the time we were allowed in, it had cleared up, which was a relief. Once seated, all the announcements were in English, so I didn't understand much and just followed the movements of others. At first, we passed by the food line to get drinks like Mai Tai and fruit punch, while others were happily chatting, dancing, and checking out the whole roasted pig. I couldn't join in the conversation due to my limited English, which left me feeling a bit bored. About an hour later, everyone finally started to get their meals, so the two of us went to get ours. There were local dishes like ahi poke and poi, making for quite an enjoyable meal. The luau show that finally started featured a person dressed as King Kamehameha and various dances, and I thought it was well done, just as the reviews had said. As an impatient Japanese person, I felt the pace was a bit slow, but I came to understand that it allowed for a more leisurely enjoyment. I believe it was a show worth the price.

In late April, I joined a tour because I wanted to see wild dolphins. I was amazed at how many there were! I was able to see several baby dolphins as well. The sight of Spinner jumping while spinning was so wonderful and exciting. The captain and the swim guide, Daisuke, were very kind, and the tour was a lot of fun. On the way back, they also showed us a manta ray, and I was moved to see a different side of the manta ray at night. I highly recommend both the night manta ray tour and the daytime dolphin tour! 😊

I visited the Big Island for my honeymoon. I joined this tour to enjoy thrilling experiences and the beautiful sea of Hawaii, and it turned out to be a wonderful memory as I had imagined.

On the day of the tour, it took about 40 minutes by taxi from the hotel where I was staying to the meeting point. After completing the check-in in English, I was handed a Japanese guidebook (about five A4 pages). I'm not very good at English, but I can understand simple Japanese, so please don't worry.

There were a total of 12 participants, including us. There were elderly people and small children as well. Additionally, there was one other Japanese person who could speak both English and Japanese, so they helped us out a lot.

Once we boarded the rubber boat and departed from the port, we picked up quite a bit of speed, feeling like we were on a roller coaster, which was thrilling. The wind felt nice, and the scenery was amazing. We even encountered a whale along the way.

After about 1 hour and 30 minutes, we arrived at Kealakekua Bay for snorkeling. The water was very clear, and we could see coral reefs and beautiful fish.

We snorkeled for about an hour at Kealakekua Bay, and then it was lunchtime on the boat. We had sandwiches, cookies, potato chips, and drinks. After that, we snorkeled for about another hour, thoroughly enjoying the sea of Kealakekua Bay. いざ、ゴムボートに乗り港を出発すると、結構スピードが出てジェットコースターに乗っているような感覚で、スリル満点です。風が気持ちよく、景色も最高でした。なんと、途中でクジラにも出会いました。

約1時間30分程かけて、ケアラケクア湾に到着すると、シュノーケルです。海の中はとても澄んでいて、サンゴ礁や綺麗な魚を見ることができました。

1時間くらいケアケクア湾でシュノーケルしその後ボートの上でランチタイム。サンドイッチとクッキー、ポテトチップ、飲み物などがでました。その後また１時間くらいシュノーケルをしてケアラケクア湾の海をしっかり満喫できました。ただ水温が少し低めだったので(４月の下旬)長く浸かってると体がだいぶ冷え、年配の方は早めにボートに上がって休憩してました。

また港に帰るとウミガメがいて写真も撮れてラッキーでした。

英語がほとんど喋れずとても緊張してましたが、私たちの時は人に恵まれていたみたいでアメリカからきていたおじいさんに親切にしていただいたり言葉は通じないけど、とても素敵な出会いがあり参加して本当に良かったです。

I was torn between a tour to swim with dolphins and this one, but I chose this tour because I wanted to go to Kealakekua Bay. Luckily, on the way there in the rubber boat, we encountered pods of dolphins multiple times! Each time, they stopped the boat to give us plenty of time to watch the dolphins. The dolphins swam right under the boat and next to us, so I felt like I was part of a dolphin tour too! I felt like I enjoyed this more than the dolphin tour I participated in on Oahu.

The day I participated wasn't very sunny, but Kealakekua Bay had incredible clarity and was the best! They also gave us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves, so I was very satisfied!

The travel time in the rubber boat is quite long. We went really fast without wearing life jackets, and there were times when we made sharp turns, so it was very bumpy. I was sitting at the front, so I felt like I was floating and it was a bit scary. But I thought it was much more fun than traveling by a regular boat.

イルカと泳ぐツアーと迷いましたが、ケアラケクア湾へ行きたかったのでこちらのツアーに参加しました。
ラッキーなことにゴムボートで湾まで移動する途中、何度もイルカの群れに遭遇！その度にボートを止めてたっぷりとイルカを見る時間を作ってくれました。
何度もボートの下やすぐ横をイルカが通ってくれたので、イルカのツアーにも参加した気分♪
オアフで参加したイルカのツアーより堪能できた気分でした♪

参加した日はあまり天気の良くない日でしたが、ケアラケクア湾は透明度抜群で最高！こちらでもあきるほどたっぷり時間を作ってくれたので大満足でした！

ゴムボートでの移動時間は結構長いです。ライフジャケットも付けずにすごいスピードで走るし、ときどき旋回もするので、すごく揺れます。私は一番前に座っていたので、体が浮いて怖かったです。でも船で移動よりずーっと楽しいと思いましたよ。

The guides were knowledgable and friendly. They were attentive to the needs and comfort of the passengers. My 8 yr old grandson was given the cushioned seat in the center (also the safest) and they even provided a life jacket. We saw a Humpback family group that breached numerous times. It was great! The disclaimer says it is not for those with mobility issues or bad backs, etc - believe them! Seating is on the side pontoons and would definitely be very uncomfortable for someone like my husband, who has 2 hip replacements (he did not go with us). I definitely recommend this activity!

A friend of mine, who was experiencing Hawaii Island for the first time with children, said this tour was incredibly impressive. They thoroughly enjoyed the ocean around Hawaii Island. They were very satisfied to see dolphins, whales, and even turtles after disembarking. The captain's service was also enthusiastic, making the boat rush towards the shore and eliciting screams.

My wife, who cannot move her left hand due to the aftereffects of a stroke, was also very satisfied as she could enjoy snorkeling thanks to the life vest. However, she mentioned that holding on in the side boat made her hands extremely tired. It would be ideal to have a bit more space to sit facing forward.

I will also share the relevant part of my blog. This tour is an absolute recommendation for fully enjoying Hawaii Island. Thank you very much.

We are a family that participated on March 26. Thank you, Captain, Daisuke, and Kiwami, for your care.

Although the number of participants that day was fewer than usual, we were able to stay close to the dolphin group the entire time. Our eldest son was thrilled to swim alongside the dolphins, our second son was overjoyed to get close to them, and our youngest (6 years old) enjoyed watching the dolphins swimming in the ocean, even though it got cold and we had to return to the boat early; he said he had fun talking with the captain. The father was captivated by the dolphins' cuteness, while the mother felt like she became part of the group as they swam after the dolphins. Each of us was able to create unforgettable memories. In the family photo taken as we were leaving, everyone had smiles we had never seen before (laughs).

Not only was the encounter with the dolphins memorable, but the lively way the staff enjoyed their work also left a strong impression. The children were moved by it as well. Daisuke introduced us to his dolphin friend, and it felt like we had entered a different world from our everyday lives. Running over the waves in the blue sea, feeling the wind, was as fun as an attraction.

The hamburger shop recommended by everyone after the tour was delicious and had a great atmosphere; it was the best! Thank you for everything! We want to create another opportunity to meet the dolphins and everyone again!

To fully enjoy this dream-like moment, I think a waterproof digital camera, motion sickness medication, and a thick (warm) bath towel for those with small children are essential. Also, ginger candy was helpful for a bit of motion sickness.

その日は数自体は普段より少ないとのことでしたが、その分そのイルカさんグループとずっと一緒に、すぐ近いところにいることができました。
イルカと並走できたという長男、イルカに接近できて大喜びの次男、海を泳ぐイルカを見る事ができ、寒くなって早めにボートにあがったけど、キャプテンと話すのが楽しかったと言う三男坊（６歳）。
イルカの可愛さに魅せられた父に、イルカさんグループを追いかけて泳ぐうちに仲間になったような気分になった母。それぞれが、一生ものの思い出を心に刻む事ができました。帰り際に撮っていただいた家族写真にも、皆、普段見た事の無いような笑顔で写っていました（笑）
イルカさんたちとの出会いのみならず、スタッフの皆さんの生き生きとお仕事を楽しんでおられる姿も、強く印象に残りました。子供たちも感銘を受けていました。ダイスケさんのおともだちイルカも紹介してもらったりして、なんか普段生きている世界とは別の世界に行ったようでした。青い海を、風を受け波を乗り越えながら走っている時も、何かのアトラクションのように楽しかったです。

ツアー終了後に行った、皆さんお勧めのハンバーガーショップも、おいしくて雰囲気よくて、最高でした！なにからなにまで、ありがとうございました！
また機会を作って、イルカちゃんたちや皆さんに会いにいきたいです！

この夢のようなひと時をフルに楽しむために、防水デジカメと、酔い止めと、ちいさい子連れの方は厚手の（あたたかい）バスタオルが必須かと思いました。それに、ちょっとした酔いに、生姜飴が役に立ちました。

It was my first time riding a horse, but all the horses were very well-trained, so I felt comfortable. On the day we participated, everyone else was from the mainland. The tour is basically in English, but it's not at a difficult level, so even with a middle school level of English, you can communicate just fine. Occasionally, they also provide important points in Japanese, so I think you can participate without any issues even if your English is not great. You can absorb the unique charm of the Big Island that you can only experience here, so there's plenty of enjoyment and healing that only those who go can taste!

The guide was very kind and it was really great! They willingly took many photos and the explanations were well done, making the ride back enjoyable without any boredom. The tour was really good, but even though it was early April, it was incredibly cold up there, so even with the down jacket they lent me, I caught a cold the next day since I'm sensitive to the cold... So, I think it's a good idea for those who go to bring a heat pack.

The stargazing was too cold, so we quickly went back to the car, but it was incredibly beautiful and moving.

I was happy that the photos could be downloaded for free. I’ve been on other tours with this company, but I found that there are no bad guides. I think everyone is very well trained.

When I go to Hawaii again, I plan to look for tours with this company.

星空観測も寒すぎてすぐ車に入りましたが、すごくきれいで感動しました。
写真も無料でダウンロードできましたし、うれしいです。
こちらの催行会社さんのツアーは、他のツアーもいきましたが、ガイドさんに外れがないです。みなさんとってもよい教育されてると思いました。
また、ハワイに行くときも、こちらの催行会社さんでツアーを探そうと思います。

It was my first time on the Big Island, so I decided to immerse myself in the Hawaiian atmosphere by participating. There were hardly any Japanese people, and I didn't understand much of what was being said, but I enjoyed the show itself. The meal was BBQ, which was decent, but the portions were generous, and the drinks were all-you-can-drink, with the Mai Tai being delicious. Since we participated on the first day we arrived, my child was half asleep, but it seems they were satisfied with the meal. The luau show offers a great taste of Hawaiian culture, so I recommend participating at least once.

I participated with guide Fujitani. I managed to catch the sunset, but unfortunately, the starry sky was disappointing. It couldn't be helped since it was up to the weather. However, I was able to see the stars from a spot a little lower down the mountain♪ I was glad I could take some photos.

What was a bit disappointing was when I looked at the blog. There were many photos uploaded by the members of guide Matsuzaki, but not many of Fujitani's members were featured. In fact, it was only the photos taken by Matsuzaki, so I thought I would like to request Matsuzaki as my guide next time.

The cold weather gear was perfectly prepared, and although we brought some from Japan, we didn't need it at all. The provided cold weather gear included:
- Ski wear (top and bottom)
- Gloves
- Wool hat
- Hot drinks
and it was prepared for the number of people. If you're worried, it might be good to bring a hot pack.

Overall, it was a fun tour.

フジタニさんのガイドで参加しました。
サンセットは何とか間に合い見ることが出来ましたが、
星空は残念でした。お天気が相手なので仕方なかったです。
でも、少し下山した所からは星空を見ることが出来ました♪
写真も撮れたので良かったです。
次回こそは良いお天気に恵まれたいです♪

少し残念だったのが、ブログを見たときです。
合流したマツザキさんガイドのメンバーさんはたくさんの写真がアップされていましたが、フジタニさんガイドのメンバーはあまり写っていませんでした。
そもそもマツザキさんが撮った写真だけでしたので、
次回参加する時はマツザキさん指名でお願いしたいと思いました。

防寒具もバッチリ準備されており、ある程度日本から準備して行った私達でしたが、
全くいりませんでした。
用意されている防寒具は、
・スキーウエア―程度の防寒具(上下)
・手袋
・毛糸の帽子
・温かい飲み物
など人数分準備されています。
もし、心配でしたらホカロンを持参すると良いかもしれません。

トータル楽しいツアーでした。

We visited with our family of three (10-year-old boy) on March 27, 2013. The water was very clear, and we were able to see many tropical fish. However, since the water temperature wasn't very high, it was too cold for long snorkeling sessions. But we had a great time with activities like the slide and jumping from the Fair Wind boat, which were fun for the kids. Additionally, since breakfast and lunch were included, we were able to make good use of our time before and after the tour, which was very nice.

2013/3/27に家族３人（10歳/男）で行ってきました。
水の透明度も高く、熱帯魚を沢山見ることができました。
ただし、水温があまり高くないため、寒くて長時間のシュノーケンリングは無理でしたが、滑り台や、フェアウィンド号からのジャンプなど、子供にとっては楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。
また、朝食、昼食付きだったので、ツアー前後の時間を有効に使えて、とても良かったです。

I had heard from my parents about their trip to see the lava before I was born, and I was really looking forward to this helicopter tour. The weather in Waikoloa was great, but there were a lot of clouds in the direction of Mauna Kea, which made me a bit anxious. Unfortunately, my worries came true, and due to bad weather, the tour to see the lava in Hilo was canceled. I was extremely sad, but I felt relieved knowing that the staff prioritized safety. The Japanese pilot mentioned that Waipi'o Valley is also wonderful, and that it was okay to cancel. He even said that they would refund the entire tour fee, so I asked my parents if we could go on the tour just to Waipi'o Valley. I had been on a helicopter in Japan before, but when we took off and flew over the vast land of the Big Island, I was moved by its grandeur. There were a few clouds and it rained a bit along the way, but flying over Waipi'o Valley felt like entering a completely different world, almost like a dream. I saw many waterfalls flowing between the valleys, and I wanted to drink from them. When we entered Parker Ranch, it started to get a bit cold, and it was really tough even in a T-shirt. When we arrived at the Onizuka Visitor Center, it was very cold, and I put on something like ski wear. The bento had tough chicken, but the air was very delicious. After finishing our meal, we headed to the summit by car. I had seen it on TV, but when we arrived at the summit, it felt like we had come to a star somewhere in the universe. I was also moved to be able to drive to a place higher than Mount Fuji. While getting out of the car and taking pictures, I felt a bit dizzy, and I thought about what Mr. Konno had said about the thin oxygen. There were many clouds, so we couldn't see the sunset. Our greeter was just outside the security terminal at Kona airport. She was holding a sign with our name on it. She was on-time, very friendly and helpful. She welcomed us to the Island, called us by our firest names and presented the Lei's over our heads. She even directed us where to go to get our luggage.

The Lei's were large, colorful and full. My concern was the condition the flowers were in. They appeared old, and wilted. For $80.00 I expected fresh flowers. We cared for them when we got to our condo and use them the next night at a Luau. They were not very pretty by then however.

At the star observation point, two other cars joined us, and we shared two telescopes to look at the stars. One of the other cars had a loud, boisterous guide from the Kansai region, who seemed to have an air of superiority over the other guides and guests, which was quite unpleasant. His loud attitude, wanting to draw attention to himself, was laughable. However, I think it was a valuable experience to be able to go to the summit of Mauna Kea. Next time, I would like to see the Milky Way and a starry sky without any noise. By the way, our guide (Mr. Kono) was kind and shared a lot about life in Hawaii during the ride back.
